Dhanush Of Kolaveri Di Fame In Hindi film Raanjhnaa

Dhanush who became a household name with the viral hit “Why this Kolaveri Di?” is now all set to make his Bollywood debut with the film Raanjhnaa. The movie will be directed by Aanand L.Rai of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame. Anand says he chose Dhanush for his simplicity and rawness, as that was the demand of the character. The movie is an intense romantic love story.

“It’s a big deal to get a launch like this at the beginning of my career here. Aanand’s script is different from regular cinema; it’s one of those ‘made to make a difference’ kind of films,” said Dhanush.

Dhanush is also planning to hire a coach to learn Hindi. He is convinced that by the time the film’s shoot gets over, he will be able to communicate fluently in Hindi, which will open more avenues for him.

Agneepath Beats Bodyguard’s Day 1 Box Office Record

Karan Johar’s, Agneepath starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Rishi Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in key roles has broken the record of Salman Khan starrer Bodyguard.

The movie has collected Rs. 25 crores in the first day only and with the weekend being a relatively long one, the movie is all set to make around Rs. 70 crores by the end of the weekend itself.

Looks like Karan Johar has indeed given a fitting tribute to his father Yash Johar’s cult classic, Agneepath starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Shah Rukh Khan To Be Part Of Kamal Hasan’s Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu Remake

Kamal Hasan is all set to remake the hit Tamil psychological thriller Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu in Hindi. He has reportedly also offered Shah Rukh Khan to paly the lead role in the film, that of a police officer who is on a mission to hunt down a serial killer who has been brutally murdering and raping girls.

However Shah Rukh is currently in a dilemma as he has to choose between the remakes of two Tamil films – Kamal Hasan’s ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ and AR Murugadoss’s ‘Ramanna’. Kamal Hasan’s film would however give Shah Rukh Khan an opportunity to play the role of a police offer for the first time.

Menon confirmed his eagerness to cast Shah Rukh and said: “I don’t know where these reports of Salman Khan being an option for ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ are coming from. It’s Shah Rukh Khan, who is the first and only choice. Kamalji played the part in the Tamil original. So Shah Rukh seems the right candidate for the part.”

After Kurbaan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor come together for the action thriller Agent Vinod. The movie is directed by Sriram Raghavan who has earlier made edge of the seat thrillers like Ek Haseena Thi and Johnny Gaddar. Expectations are hence very high from his next film which is being made at a much larger scale than his previous two film.

The trailer of Agent Vinod which shows various people questioning Saif ali Khan of his identity and him giving out funny answers for the same has sure created a lot of curiosity amongst fans. The satellite rights of the film have been reportedly been sold to Zee television network for 20 crores.

Shirish Kunder after his well made debut Jaaneman is back with his next film Joker. Although Jaaneman was a superior product in terms of the direction and filming, the movie did not do too well at the box office. He however has very high expectations from his next film, Joker starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles. The movie is produced by by Farah Khan, Shirish Kunder, and Akshay Kumar under the banner of Three’s Company and Hari Om Entertainment.

The film, Joker, is an adventure fantasy film and will be released in both 2D and 3D formats. This will be the fourth Bollywood film after – Haunted, Ra-One and Don 2 to be released in 3D format.

Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 2 — which will actually be the third part in the series of films – Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish is in the making and Hrithik fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie. Here is some latest buzz about Krrish 2.

Hrithik Roshan will play the characters of both father and son. The other key role will be that of a super villian and Rakesh Roshan has signed Vivek Oberoi, in the extremely challenging role.Seems like a big break for the Oberoi boy.

Priyanka Chopra is likely to be retained as Krrish’s wife and the super-talented Chitrangada Sen will be seen portraying the role of a female mutant. Krrish 2 will be directed by Rakesh Roshan and the shooting is expected to commence in November this year. The film is likely to release in December 2012 or early 2013.
