RAmos T17FHD 1080P PMP - Fantastic Screen {Video Review}

This is the new RAmos T17FHD, it uses an Amlogic processor, not the standard Rockchip processors that we normally see RAmos using.The player should mainly be purchased and used for video viewing, it simply has one of the nicest screens i have seen on a PMP. The Amlogic chip is powerful enough to support videos that are upto 1080p resolution and can playback almost all major video file formats.

To top it off it has HDMI out, when the player is connected to your TV it acts like a stand alone set top media player, you can even connect external HDD through the USB host cable that is provided.

Chuwi Add Another S to P7eos -> P7eosS

I don’t know what more to be astonished by, how Chuwi goes about naming their players or the fact that this 5.0″ player costs less than USD$60 and comes with 8GB of memory. The P7eosS is very similar, in fact totally the same albeit the screen size, to the P7eos. This variant will have a 5.0″ screen, run on a telechips processor which will be able to decode videos that are upto and possible even above 1080p, it does also have HDMI out. Players like this are pretty much kings of video playback, as they can support just about any popular used video format (AVI, Divx, RMVB, MKV, TS, WMV9, H.264, H.263). The player looks to be out very soon, but i am sure it won’t be long before Chuwi goes and add another S for the 7.0″ version of this player.

Sneak peak at Ainol V9000HDA

Looks like Ainol has released a small set of photos of their new upcoming V9000HDA model. This new player does run on a Sochip processor, but it would be the first Sochip based player to be touch screen based.

I can’t really say that Ainol has done anything new with the body design, but i have to admit that it does have a nice simplistic look to it. Ainol have also released a promo page showing off the UI of the V9000HDA, lets hope the renderings look as good in real life.

Aigo launching Jackie Chan Photo frame

Aigo, a large electronics brand in China, is releasing a new slim line digital photo frame which will come with its own Jackie Chan figurine. The photo frame will have a high resolution 800×480 8.9″ screen. Many of you may not know, but Aigo is one of the more reputable electronic brands in China, they are even sponsors of the Formula One.

Hanvon TouchPad BC10C Reviewed - Nice but expensive

RAmos T17FHD - new comic book mode to be added (soon)

Maderin1 has found information that the RAmos T17FHD is to get a specific comic book reader app, needless to say that this will add some additional functionality to the player. I am quite interested to see how this works out, the T17FHD has one of the nicest screens i have seen making comic reading quite enjoyable on a hand held like this.

Sega Saturn made portable (Sort of)

Well this isn’t exactly portable, but i am a fan of Sega and it was nice to see someone make the old Sega Saturn into a portable device, i do use the word portable very loosely here.

iToo releasing 3.6″ Player

The iToo M3HD seems to be very similar to the Cube B33HD i reported yesterday, two share the sames specs and even form factor. It would be safe to assume that the two players are using the same media processor and probably have similar user interfaces.

The Super Thin Air Phone No. 1 iPhone Clone

Its not always that i post about iPhone clones, but the Air Phone No. 1 clone certainly caught my eye, if nothing more than for its 8mm body thickness and shiny metallic back.

The Air One has a 3.5″ resistive touch screen, with a 480×320 screen resolution, built in Wifi and Java 2.0 support. It also has its SIM card port located on the side of the phone and not inside, which i think is a nice design feature. Not really much else to say about this clone, other than the actual OS is nothing more than what you find on most CECT phones, so you can expect it to be pretty bad.

The Air Phone No. 1 looks to sell for RMB$880/USD$129.00 within China. Nice to look at, but i give this a don’t buy rating.

Cube Announce B33HD - 768P Playback + DTS support

Cube is about to release yet another player with their B33HD, this particular player seems to use a new media processor and not the standard Sochip they have been using. What i do like about this player is its small screen size, 3.6″ and that it will have a 800×480 resolution, this combination isn’t something that we see too often on Chinese players.The B33HD will support video playback of upto 768p and support RMVB?RM?AVI?WMV?FLV?MKV?DAT?MPG?MP4?MOV?PMP?VOB?H.264(HP)? H.263 and will support DT, AC-3 audio tracks and will support 1080P video out. It will also support OTG, lossless and standard audio formats.

Now the real eye opener here is the price, the B33HD will retail within China for RMB$299, or about USD$44.00, but i don’t know how much internal memory will come at that price.
