how do married couples preserve time for each other w/ all the jobs of lifestyle? how do married partners retain their relationships fresh and entertaining and loving and passionate? (not just thier intercourse existence but the general realtionship). when u were about to get married what was ur largest problem?

fortunately married couples MAKE time for every single other ….. respect one particular yet another, laugh with every single other……….they elevate every single other up when a single is down they perform as a group, yet locate time for their individuality as properly………

It took a second for the truth of that to really sink in. At first, I laughed thinking that maybe people shouldn’t stay together if they can’t stand each other.  But then I started thinking back. There do seem to be times in the past where I really couldn’t stand my husband. I never said anything to him about it though. I now wonder if there have been times where he couldn’t stand me.

I hear advice all the time about what makes a marriage last. I think this particular bit of advice is going to be my favorite. What about you? What marital advice have you heard over the years that has left a lasting impression on you?

The app is very simplistic. The main screen is laid out more like an email form than the app interfaces I am used to. That’s fine with me; I don’t need it to be flashy. The choices in the main menu are Comments, Posts, and Pages.

Selecting comments brings up previous comments on my blog. I can delete them or respond to them. Selecting posts brings up a list of my blog’s existing posts to edit or delete. I can also add new posts. The pages section is just like the post section.

While writing a new post, I am given a form to fill out for the title and tags. I am not shown a list of popular tags, I have to type them in manually. I am also able to select the category for the post, but i am shown only a list of existing categories; I can not add new ones.

I am able to place an image from my iPhone / iPad into the post, but, I have no image options other than to select the image size and whether the image should go above or below the post.

Adding a page is exactly like adding a post except for the category/tag areas. Both areas also allow me to preview what the post will look like on my blog. I really like that feature.

Overall, the app would be ok if I just wanted to go in and type something up real quick. However, I would have to make the post a draft only and go into my admin at a later date to add a few things (like trackbacks or seo info) before I published the post. Seeing as though I can access my blog’s admin from my iPhone / iPad, I’m not sure if this app will get used very often. I give it 3 stars because it is easy to use and has a very clean interface. It loads quickly and that would be important if blogging while on the go.

My husband golfs just about every Saturday. We used to fight about it a lot. My argument was that the kids are still pretty young and I am home with them all day throughout the week. I figure that I should get some help with the kids at least 2 out of the 7 days in the week. In my opinion, if my husband isn’t working, than he should be spending time with his family.

Apparently, my husband does not agree. His argument is that since he works 5 days a week, he should get one day a week to do whatever he wants. He also argues that it is only for a few hours. I’ve proven that not to be true on every occasion. He is gone for 6-8 hours every Saturday.

It has actually come to the point that every time I hear the word golf, I just want to scream and tear my hear out.

We don’t argue about golf anymore. The only reason why is because I gave up fighting a loosing battle each week. I imagine he gave up on the fight as well, because he doesn’t mention that he is going golfing anymore. I’ve come to expect that when I wake up on Saturday, he will be gone.

I joined Twitter on April 1. I was going to sign up sooner, but the name I wanted (mrsopinion) was already taken. I sent a quick email to Twitter about the name since the person who was using that name hasn’t tweeted in a couple of years. But, unfortunately, Twitter has no current plans to let old names expire. So, I had to sign up as mrs_opinion.

I started writing little tweets right away and following other people through their blog links. Most followed me back within a reasonable amount of time. I slowly began to socialize with them by responding to a few tweets here and there. I put the twitter app on my phone too and I’m really starting to have fun with it.

Twitter has a list feature, so last night, I created a couple of lists and added a few of the people I’ve tweeted with into the lists. It seemed to me that the whole point was to group people into different categories so that I could visit only those types of tweets when I wanted to.

Well, I had it half right. Yes, I can group people into lists based on the content of their tweets. And, yes, it makes it easier if I want to just look at tweets for, say, parenting advice. But, there is a little more to it than that.

I can choose to make my list private or public. If the list is private, no one but myself knows of the list – not even the people on it. If I make it public, the whole world can not only see my list, but they can choose to follow my list as well. The best part is that you can follow the list without having to follow everyone on the list. So, you can end up following a whole bunch of lists that other people created without having to worry about hundreds of other tweets filling up your main timeline. How nice is that?

Sometimes I feel that my parents think they have to buy my kids’ affection. I know that they are excited to be grandparents, but they’ve had some time to get used to it now. We happen to live very close to most of our family, but at times, I really wish we didn’t.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m really glad that my parents love my children and want to show them that, but I don’t think the way to do that is through toys. Who knows? Maybe it is guilt. You see, my parents don’t spend too much time with my kids. But, they never miss an opportunity to pop in and hand over a toy. Then, 5 minutes later, they leave.

We have a toy overgrowth in this house. My parents have even commented about the way my kids just throw their toys around without caring if they will break. I always respond with the same answer, “That’s because they have too many.”

I have put my foot down several times. I’ve explained to them that the children have too many toys and, therefore, aren’t treating a single toy with respect. I’ve also tried other tactics like, “We are trying to teach the kids that gifts are for special occasions like holidays and birthdays.” I’ve even directly said things like, “Please stop bring more toys over.”

Of course, talking to my parents like this is very new to me. I’m often very meek with them as I always did as I was told growing up. Standing up to them isn’t working out very well for me. I’m just met with answers like, “This isn’t a gift, it is just because I knew they’d like it.” I’ve even gone so far as to intercept presents that come in. I take them from my parents as soon as they walk in the door and hide them before the kids see. That doesn’t work either as my parents then feel the need to mention to my kids that I’ve hid the toys.

Now, I know what you are thinking. I should give them away to charity. I actually do that twice a year, but there are still too many. I can’t give too many away either because, for some unexplained reason, my parents seem to remember every toy they got for the kids. They’ll ask about certain toys on occasion and, the few times I gave them away, I ended up with a lecture on how they spent their hard earned money on those toys. So, when the charity trucks come by, I sort though to make sure that only the toys I buy them are in the pile.

I’ll hide toys too. There is a section of my garage that is filled with toys that I never gave to the kids. But, 2 weeks ago, my dad came over and my oldest started telling him about the pile in the garage. Again, I was given the speech on how inconsiderate it was of me to not make use of the toy.

So, I’m left here wondering how bad the toy situation will get. Right now, luckily, the toys are limited to my kids’ rooms, but I haven’t seen the rooms cleaned in a very long time. Of course, the part that bothers me most is that my kids are not learning how to respect what they have. We try to teach them that most kids don’t have a whole room full of toys. We try to explain that most kids actually sit and play with one toy at a time. And, we try to show them that presents are special. But, it goes in one ear and out the other. After all, when they get new toys on a weekly basis, how are they supposed to understand what the meaning of a gift is?

I wanted to start using the Google Buzz feature I saw on another website. I figured, the more places you have your link on Google, the better, right? I did have to sign up with Gmail because Google Buzz is done through that. I really didn’t want to get a Gmail account because 1) I don’t want to have yet another email account to remember to check and 2) Gmail accounts have been associated with spam accounts so much lately. It seems that all of the spammers use Gmail these days. But, I probably won’t be using my Gmail account to send mail… maybe I will just use it to sign up for things I’m expecting may sell my email address, lol.

So, as I said, I’ve setup my profile and my Buzz/Gmail account. With it, you can follow people to see what they are buzzing about and vice versa. It’s really another social network like Twitter and Facebook. I already sent an email to my host to have her follow me, but other than that, I’m not sure how many followers there will be. Since I haven’t heard as much about Google Buzz as the others, I’m not too sure if it is all that popular. I’ll have to wait and see.
