My Samsung Moment

Isn't it crazy on how fast technology evolve now a days?! We started with having those huge and heavy mobile phones to what we have now. We basically have a small world connection on the palm of our hands. I have tried so many services and have stuck with SPRINT the longest. The service and plans they provide are just in comparable to other providers. One of the downside is the phones they sell. Its expensive unless you wait for the sale which is quite reasonable or you do the rebate stuff. Since IPhone is exclusive to AT&T customers, as a SPRINT loyalist i have to settle with what they provide. The HTC EVO is an amazing phone but I am just not ready to invest on such a thing. So I settled with the Samsung Moment. I have love it the MOMENT. I has an amazing features and a sliding keyboard which makes texting and emailing on the go so much easier.

A couple of months ago, Samsung upgraded the Moment platform to Android 2.1 which is unbelievable awesome. I downloaded tons of apps that are very useful. Then Sprint upgraded their Sprint Navigation which is so hard to live without. I have used it several times going to appointments doctors, parties name it the Navi finds it. But not this time. For some reason, the GPS of my MOMENT could never be located. I have called Sprint Customer Service which is really a shocking because 3 different representative hang up on me which hardly ever happens in my past experience. I did get hold of Robyn who did help me reset the phone, tried several test but unfortunately it was a no go. The phone is defective. How did it become defective? No one really knows. I wish they could resolve the issue on what is the disconnect between the Moment and the Sprint NAVI because I do love my Moment.

Asurion is replacing my phone with an HTC since this is the 3rd defective Moment phone I have received . I wish it would be the Intrepid but its a no go. I am sad to depart from my MOMENT but I need the GPS to be working. It really sucks!

I have been in a rot. Well it really started when my daily points drop. I have to readjust and not focus and be frustrated with the 7 points i have lost for the week. There goes my passion for junk food. I know that I can still have them but no longer on a daily basis. And this is all for the good reasons. Yesterday was WI and I am down 2lbs but nothing to rejoice since that is the two lbs I have gained in the span of 2 weeks. I have to start getting back to business and refocus. Since I get frustrated so easily and start beating myself down, I have to learn how to draw my attention back to what I was doing instead of stewing about things. Its a simple solution but really hard to follow. My first choice of motivation is a picture my friend have taken a year ago and the picture I have taken this year. I see for myself that my hard work is paying off I just need to keep doing it until I reach my goal. Deb is right we will all get there it does not have to be now but we will get there and we just need to be patient.

Start: 190lbs
Goal: 150lbs
Ultimate Goal : 140-145lbs
Current: 157.5lbs

Dreams.... Panaginip... What do they really symbolize? I tend to over analyzed my dreams which results to my impulse judgement or conclusions. But how should we really interpret our dreams?

I just finished watching a TV show and went to the bathroom. I was in there for awhile More...

but was really confused. As I head back to our bedroom, I saw him kneeling down. I went closer and screamed Its "HER" I grabbed him and was very very angry. He looked at me like a little pup asking what he did wrong. I was very furious I was swinging my hands left and right. Then I fell off the bed. I awoke up feeling so stress and aggitated. I have to calm myself down. (Grabe talaga!)

I know its just a dream but what does it represent something. Accoring to Dream Moods, Dreams are connected with our own reality. Dreams unifies the body, mind and spirit. It provides you with insight into ourselves and a means for self-exploration. In understanding your dreams, you will have a better understanding and discovery of your true self.

Here is what I came up with:

Angry: Being angry in your dream may have been carried over from your waking life. Dreams can function as a safe outlet where you can express your strong and/or negative emotions. You have some suppressed anger and aggression that you have not consciously acknowledged.

Infidelity: To dream of infidelity (either by you or someone else), forewarns of your actions with the opposite sex or you will suffer dire consequences. You are harboring guilt over a sexual relationship. Alternatively, you may feel unsatisfied with your current relationship and want to seek a more exotic sex life.

"hmmm... Guilt, I know I have nothing to feel guilty about, Is blogging considered a relationship? I have been blogging alot lately. ;-)"

Cheating: To dream that your mate, spouse, or significant other is cheating on you, indicates your fears of being abandoned. You may feel a lack of attention in the relationship. Alternatively, you may feel that you are not measuring up to the expectations of others. This notion may stem from issues of trust or self-esteem. The dream could also indicate that you are unconsciously picking up hints and cues that your significant other is not being completely truth or is not fully committed in the relationship.

Abused Women... there's always help

I just got to thinking of everything that happened in my life, the people around me and just thought how would I be able to contribute to society. Oh here's one, blog about crap... Probably in some corner of this universe of ours someone will stumble upon the bologna (pronounced /boˈloʊni/).

Since we are all different in our own little ways, I worry about those who keep things to themselves. Remember, if you are losing grip and hope, there's always solutions and escape to the things you are currently facing.

I wanted to talk about abused spouses. Especially, the ones who believes they are at the mercy of their currently husbands or wives. Keep in mind that no one can control us unless we let them. You are the only person who can protect you. But it also help if you reach out to someone else. Our thoughts are mainly our thoughts. The reality could be far off which is one of the reasons I believe that no one is allowed and should "assume".

Here in the US the law is great for abused women. Although some take advantage of it. But if you are in Canada, here are a couple links that might help you.

Rosenet - This would give you some assistance on what you can do in certain situation if you are an immigrant.

That is just one of them. If you know of other ways, please comment on this post.

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the Problem Science has
with GOD, the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir...
Professor : So, you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.
But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

Professor : You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is GOD Good?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?

Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing.. I only have my Faith.

Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor : Yes.

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don't have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy..
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?

Darkness is the Absence of Something
You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called Darkness, isn't it?
In reality, Darkness isn't.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?
Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor,
Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?
(The Class was in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain?
(The Class broke out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol,
Science says that You have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?

Yes we are being hit again by the darn storm... I left work at 9pm laso st night and it was a crazy drive from work to home. It took me an extra 20 mins. The drive was intense so the feeling of exhaustion overcame me the moment I got home. I will be posting some photos later so watch out! This weekend. MrUnggoy and I should be heading to NY for a Rock Band and guessture night. Due to the inclimate weather we are having. The plans have changed. I could do some work since its the YE close but thats does not sound appealing at the moment. Probably later ;o).

So what do you do when you are stuck within the four corners of your home. Ok... Most of my time was spend in front of the computer. I did step outside to help MrUnggoy shovel the driveway but that was not enough to keep my day occupied.

Oh yes, I was bored out of my witts! I am cooped up inside the four walls of my cube all day Mondays to Fridays and here I am confined in the four walls of my home. Instead of focusing on the lack of activities I can do for the day, I looked at the bright side of it. What can make this day better? So I woke up early this morning and logged on to see if my dad is online. Yes my father tend to be on Facebook playing Texas Hold Em for hours.

Lucky me, he was. We chat for a bit and when my sister arrived she turned on the video cam and I get to see my pretty niece Bluhilda. That would only cover the portion of my morning. Breakfast is my specialty so I made eggs and pancakes. My Precious is not home so I did not make some fried rice.

Cooking kept me pretty occupied today though. Not only did I made breakfast but made my favorite dish, Chicken Parmesean. It's really easy and I alter the recipe to make it no too fattening. I am not an excellent cook but I do try and it does get by. MrUnggoy and my Precious eats and loves them so that is all that matters ;o)

After all the shoveling and cooking and laundry, is a quite night with my MrUnggoy watching some movies. What kept you busy today?

Why cutesy names and code words may be the key to super-gluing your bond. Bring on the "shmoopy".

Lovey-dovey language — even your own — can be so corny it makes you want to puke. But researchers have found that it might actually serve a purpose: Pet names and code phrases pave the way to a playful, resilient, and satisfying relationship. One study on couples' "insider language" published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships reported that the more goofy names, made-up terms, and covert requests for nooky a couple used, the higher their relationship satisfaction tended to be.

The quantity of sweet or silly nothings you utter on any given day may be even more important than the quality, says Jamie Turndorf, Ph.D., a New York City relationship therapist. Studies have found that couples who maintain a five-to-one ratio of positive to negative communications are far more likely to remain happy. "Using nicknames and made-up language is an easy way to inject positive communication into everyday life," Turndorf says. In fact, it's probably the single easiest thing you can do to keep your relationship going strong.

Whether it's baby talk or coded conversation ("It's getting chilly." Translation: "Let's leave now."), the overall message is: The two of you are tight. "You are saying, symbolically, that you care enough about the other person and the relationship to develop your own way of speaking," says Carol Bruess, Ph.D., the director of family studies at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a co-author of Belly Button Fuzz and Bare-Chested Hugs: What Happy Couples Do. "You've got your own private world, your own mini culture."

The Meaning Behind a Moniker

Pet names also create a boundary, says Pat Love, co-author of How to Improve Your Marriage Without Talking About It. "It's a way to identify the relationship as exclusive," she says. "It's like an auditory marker." When people around you overhear your cutesy conversation, they know you're committed to each other.

The inside banter can also serve as a fast-forward button, says Lillian Glass, Ph.D., a communication and body-language expert based in Los Angeles. Sometimes, after a rough day at work, you just want to come home, flop onto the couch, and pop open a bottle of something smooth and red. How great is it when your partner knows that "the usual" is code for "My imbecile boss just wasted six hours of my life with mindless busy work and I'm really in a mood right now"? Statement, sentiment, and your current mental state all rolled into two words — no need to relive the whole disastrous day blow by blow.

Personalized lingo not only can bond a relationship — it can bail it out, too. University of Western Ontario psychology professor Lorne Campbell, Ph.D., has researched the use of humor during conflicts. In a study published in the journal Personal Relationships, Campbell found that when goofing around is used to help resolve disputes, it ultimately strengthens the relationship. Tossing in an inside joke during a would-be brawl not only relieves the tension, he says, but brings you back to the present.

Cementing Memories

It's no coincidence that new couples give each other nicknames that are sugary and food-related. Cupcake. Honeybun. Peaches. "Sweet is an unequivocally positive descriptor," Glass says. "You're comparing the other person with a treat—something special that you look forward to every time." As a relationship matures and trust builds, you may develop pet names that refer to a feature or personality trait of your partner (like calling your boyfriend Leo when his beard grows shaggy and out of control). That kind of "just between us" language drives home how well you know each other.

Every shared experience, Glass says, opens doors for more nicknames and inside jokes, which become earmarks for your most meaningful memories. Whether he calls you Rodeo, after the horseback-riding trip you took on your first anniversary, or you call him Speed Racer, for the time he drove 90 mph to get you to the airport on time, the names are a way of tracking your romantic history. "You have a word that signifies a time, a date, and a place, and it takes you back to that moment," Glass says.

Of course, for a nickname to work, both parties have to be happy with it. If it annoys you when your man calls you Stinky in memory of your bad bout with Indian food last fall, that's definitely not going to bring you any closer. "You're putting your trust in the other person to treat you in a safe and intimate way," Glass says. "Tread carefully."

The One Must-Say Phrase

What if you and your man would rather cut your tongues out than utter a ridiculous nickname? Don't worry; you're not doomed. Worse, Turndorf says, is a relationship in which "I love you" is hardly ever said. Still, she encourages couples to come up with as many catchphrases as they can stand. They don't have to be gooey and sweet — funny is fine. But one big red flag to watch for is if your partner stops calling you by your pet name, Love says. "It's like calling a naughty kid by his full name. It sends the signal 'I'm not being intimate with you anymore.'" When that happens, it's time to figure out what in your relationship needs fixing.

Bottom line: Having a shared language can only help strengthen the connection you feel with your partner. So swallow your pride and bring on the shmoo

A new beginning....

This is the day that I am starting a new way of living. A new path to attain my goal of losing 20lbs. Is it too much? I don't know but for now that is the goal. In August 2010, I will be fitting my wedding gown that was purchased in March of 2009. The last time I attempted to try it on was Christmas eve! A lot of work needs to be done!

I have joined the Weight Watchers online last year and have been following it till November. The holidays were tough so I indulged and stopped dieting. For some reason, winter wanted to keep me in doors and hibernate so the gym was like a dream that I could not see in a misty foggy night! I started revisiting my old pal once(The Gym) a week. Last week was a success since I went twice. Hurray!

Today is the beginning of lean and fat free diet. I will be logging all the food I eat and plan my daily meals. There will definitely be tons of grilled chicken, lean steak and some fish. I am really looking forward to this. I planned my exercise routine which will always be based on my weekly schedule. My plan is 4 to 5 days a week So wish me luck and I will post you next week if there are any changes!

Hello! How's the Year 2010 treating you? For Ms. Pink Biik, nothing to complain about. I am really excited though! This is the year the Mr. Ungoy and I will tie the knot. My closet has to many cluster. I decided to utilize the coat closet to arrange the clutter in my dress closet. Here is how it looks....

Granted not all of them are mine. The boots on the floor is Mr Ungoy and there's an orange box on the left which is a Jigsaw by Black and Decker. Since I am obsessing about SHOES, I will be posting one shoes a week. Hey this way I will be somewhat active in my blogging career ha ha ha or not....

Lets start now, this week is my Silver Blingy Lord & Taylor sandals I purchased years ago. Why I bought I really have no clue but would you believe I paid $20.00 for them.

I bet that most of you have heard about this but man is Kanye an A hole!!!!! But I did have a blast when I read this

President Barack Obama called hip-hop musician Kanye West a "jackass" on Monday in an off-the-record comment during an interview with CNBC, an ABC News anchor reported on Twitter.

Obama was apparently weighing in on an interruption that occurred the night before during the MTV Video Music Awards where West grabbed the microphone from teen country singer Taylor Swift during her award acceptance speech to announce his belief that Beyonce had a better music video.
"Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential," "Nightline" co-anchor Terry Moran wrote Monday evening to his more than 1 million followers.
The tweet forced the network to issue an apology after the Internet quickly became abuzz over the stunning remark published on the microblogging site.
An ABC spokesperson said, "In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview," Politico reported. "This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again."
Moran's tweet has since been deleted, but can still be accessed.

WI # 30 What a Disaster

Oh my goodness! Its my 30th WI and yes it’s a gain! I thought I could manage the no gain month but it is what it is. Not the scales fault but the tons of chocolate I shoved in my mouth, the huge bag of Doritos, the mountain of white rice I ate with my fatty Philippine dishes and 20 Vietnamese Rolls I devour over the Labor Day weekend. Do you think I am upset with the 3lbs I gained? Nah. I am lucky that is all I gained. Could you imagine if I did not do 33 AP’s for that week. It would have been worst.

Sometimes I think our body needs to be shaken so we don’t
hit that plateau. Or this logic could be my excuse why I had the bad week. But really I hate those moments. I remember a couple of months ago when I could not get out of the 170’s it was horrible feeling until I found spinning classes. I am actually addicted to it now. In some cases I do more than 60 mins, which my fiance thinks is over kill but I am enjoying it. My goal for this coming months is to be out of the 160’s. I was almost there till the past week disaster. I am getting close. I can smell it and yet I am not there. But I am in no rush. Because I know that this time I am doing this the right way. It may be a really slow progress but I will get there and I will cherish every moment of it because I worked really hard for it. Maybe this time it will stay off because I don’t want to revert back and do it over again.

I have been a gym member since 2004. One thing we all have to realize is just because we have a membership does not mean we are in good shape or fit. You have to physically drag yourself to your car and drive yourself to the gym and do some workout.

The title on John Cloud's article is very catchy and true in some event.

The basic problem is that while it's true that exercise burns calories and that you must burn calories to lose weight, exercise has another effect: it can stimulate hunger. That causes us to eat more, which in turn can negate the weight-loss benefits we just accrued. Exercise, in other words, isn't necessarily helping us lose weight. It may even be making it harder.

I believe that the point he is trying to send across is how exercise alone will not make you thin. For instance, on a day where you are eating 3 donuts, 5 slices pepperoni pizza, a pint of double fudge chocolate ice cream, an egg roll, fried rice, general tso’s and spend 20 mins on a threadmill walking leisurely. THEN HONEY WAKE UP. You did not burn those gazillion of calories you intake and the answer is NO you will not lose weight. I believe we tend to over look and do the things correctly so we have something to complain about.

I am no expert but “PROPER” diet with a combination of workout will DO help you lose weight. I know because I am doing and living it. If you would like to read more of his article click below.

I was browsing different Magazine sites then I found this article. A plus size model (WHO DOES NOT LOOK A PLUS SIZE WOMAN), had her photo taken wearing only her underwear. It is eye catching not only because she was not wearing anything but because she looks more like you and me.

Please read through the article and let me know what you think. Because from my point of view. Magazine should make changes uses models who are more like normal than those picture perfect bodies.

I LOVE FOOD!

GREAT FOOD is my weekness. When you devour anything in sight, it was not healthy at all. I kept gaining and gaining weight to the point that I was feeling miserable. My self esteem was damage. I could not fit on any of my clothes and I was on denial that I gained a lot! Then it hit me that it was time. So when I decided to quit smoking, I thought it was the best time to go on a diet. In the back of my mind, I am positive that once my ruined taste buds starts repairing I would be in big trouble. Curving my appetite by then would be impossible.

I can cook but I would not say it’s the best. Its edible and sometimes it would be good but for some reason I can’t remember how I make it the same way. This is good in some ways because it helps me stay with the basic and cut down the fats in the foods I prepare. Lately, all I have been making are grilled chicken, pork and beef. Sometimes we would change it up by ordering or eating out.

I am on a diet, and it does not mean I can’t enjoy and have a fun dinner. When I was picking what Diet Program to follow, I decided to go with Weight Watchers. They don’t tell you to just eat their food but gives you choices on how you can enjoy eating out and making the right choices. I am not stuck in purchasing their meals for the entire week.

This helps me psychologically because my selection is in wide array. I can eat at Fast Food chains like Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, Roly Poly, Cosi, Arby’s, Chic-fil-a and such.

What I wanted to share with you is the private places I have found in my Babuyan Island that offers great ambiance, service and excellent food. If you have been to them let me know how it was for you. If you have not tried them, please do so they are really good.

1. Barnacle Bens Seafood - When I think of seafood this is the place to go where I know I can enjoy my food and have a wonderful time with my family. I haven’t had a meal here that I did not enjoy.

2. Tarantella Italian Restaurant – I love the Fra Diablo with mussels! Their serving size are huge so make sure to wear your stretchy pants ;o) but of course you can eat half and savor the rest for later or share with someone special. They have huge choices and a number of specials.

3. Corks – Korean taco’s! Honey Jalpeno Crème Brulee oh what else can I say! It was my first time to go their over the weekend and I am so glad that I tried it. The foods very tasty and reasonably priced! You should try it!

4. Joe Peking – If you don’t feel like driving to Philly for a good authentic Chinese food I suggest you go to Joe Peking! Friendly staff that provides you with excellent service and good FOOD.

5. Mikado - If you enjoy Japanese dining and hibachi. This is the place to go. It does get a little pricey but the food is great.

District 9 - a movie to see....

Ok.. Harry Potter and Twilight are not the only movies I know off. Well, actually I have heard of the movie, District 9 through Mr. Ungoy. It is a science fiction film directed by Neil Blomkamp. The plot of the movie is like a documentary-style where a number of people where interviewed about how it all begun. The location of the movie is in Johannesburg, South Africa. We definitely enjoyed the movie. It is different and interesting!
