Get into Some Great Atlanta Museums on Free Admission Day

The High Museum of Art

If you are like most of us, there are several local museums located near your Atlanta apartment that you want to go see but just have not done it yet. Well, now you have no more excuses, thanks to the Smithsonian Museum Magazine, which is hosting a Free Admission Day on September 29. Check out some museums free and remember why you enjoy life in your Atlanta apartment so much.

Go get your inner scientist on at the David J. Sencer CDC Museum. Learn all about the science behind what the CDC does and how they apply what they know through interactive exhibits and activities. The museum is located at 1600 Clifton Road NE and is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Once you have gotten your fill of science for the day, go to the High Museum of Art to see amazing paintings, exhibits and art. The museum is located at 1280 Peachtree Street NE, fairly close to your Atlanta apartment community, and is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Atlanta has some amazing museums and exhibits, so let the Smithsonian foot the bill and visit these places and enjoy near your Atlanta apartment!

Take a CNN Studio Tour

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how CNN operates

You probably already know that the news station CNN is headquartered not that far that from our M Street apartments. The CNN studio tour is one of the most popular things to do in Atlanta.

The tour gives you an up-close and personal look at how the news station functions and all the behind-the-scenes information that you always wished you knew.

The tour costs $15 per adult, $14 for seniors over the age of 65 and children ages 13 to 18 and $12 for kids between the ages of 4 and 12.

You can go on the tour Monday through Sunday from 9:00 am and 5:00pm and purchase tickets online in advance.

There are also specific tours you can pick, such as a Morning Express Tour, a VIP tour and more. The guided tours last about an hour and end in the public area.

You can even purchase a combo ticket to see the CNN tour with other Atlanta attractions. Spend some time seeing Atlanta like a tourist and you may see things you never experienced before.

You probably already know that volunteering is a good thing to do for other people. However, studies have shown that volunteering provides a powerful boost to the person doing the volunteer work as well, with increased mental and physical well-being and reports of a personal sense of satisfaction. Get the best of both worlds by volunteering near your Atlanta apartment.
