Kim Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl

Neither glowing mother nor new father are known for doing much privately or without fanfare and an entire film crew on them -- Kim Kardashian's brought a camera man along with her to the doctor's office (and into her sister's bikini wax appointment, where no camera crew should ever be allowed to go), and Kanye West coined himself the son of God and released songs from his new Yeezus album by projecting his own image on 66 buildings around the world. These guys go big or go home... to one of their extremely, extremely expensive homes. Oh, and Kanye also nonchalantly likened himself to Michael Jordan and Steve Jobs in the same breath. As one occasionally does! See! Everything is bigger and better and highly public when you're Kim and/or Kanye, which you're definitely not. Which is why it's KILLING US SOFTLY not knowing what Kim and Kanye named their little baby girl. So, we did what any reasonable adults hysterically refreshing Google News every 30 seconds in hopes of a Kim and Kanye baby name update would do -- we named that damn baby ourselves.

Acting like we have any sort of stake in the naming rights of Baby Kimye, MTV News' Christina Garibaldi and myself (Tamar Anitai!) picked our predictions for Kim and Kanye's baby's name. Our favorites include Krossant and Kraylor Swift, but I'm really hoping -- nay, praying to Lord Yeezus -- that they'll just name her "Hennngh?" Hengh? Just watch.

Hunter Hayes goes back on tour in his latest "For The Love Of Music" webisode.

It's official: Hunter Hayes is having a HUGE week. Not only is the country-pop wunderkind dropping a new album, (Encore) and performing an "MTV Artist To Watch Live" show at NYC's Webster Hall on Tuesday, June 18, but he's just released a brand-new "For The Love Of Music" webisode! (That sound you hear is the screams of #Hayniacs losing their collective minds.)

In his latest "For The Love Of Music" clip, the "I Want Crazy" singer gazes out across Nashville's city lights, and thinks out loud about how working in the studio fuels his need to get back on the tour bus. "Nashville is awesome, and I have loved getting to go into the studio and do my thing," says Hunter. "For me, going into the studio is not working, but it is kind of a reset... I love Nashville, I love the studio thing, but I live to get back on the road and make music."

And true to his word, Hunter's off! "So long, Nashville. See you in about a year," he says. Next stop: Virginia Beach, VA. And man, do we wish we were on that beach with him. Dude may only be 21 years old, but he is a consummate stage professional (and just so happens to look prettyyyyy good in a tight shirt. That never hurts). Guess we'll just have to wait 24 hours till his "MTV Artist To Watch Live" performance, eh? Starting our countdown clocks....NOW.

Paramore's Hayley Williams does a high kick better than anyone!

If you thought the only rock star skill Paramore's Hayley Williams had up her sleeve (y'know, besides her killer vocals) was her epic hair-whipping abilities, you'd be terribly mistaken. Case in point: Hayley can high kick with the ease of Gabby Douglas crushing an uneven bars routine! We're not joking. We took a ruler to the above photo and accurately measured her kick at about "HOW DID SHE EFFING DO THAT" feet and "IS THERE ANYTHING SHE CAN'T DO?!" inches.

The "Still Into You" singer was snapped giving a little Sally O'Malley kick while onstage in the Netherlands, and now we officially know what Hayley's been up to in her downtime -- some serious yoga stretching! That, or she's an ex-Rockette who gave up sheer panty hose and a tight bun for black stockings and hair that resembles various stages of fire. Well, no matter how Hayley caught that acrobatic air, we don't suggest trying her move at home. This is for professional rock stars, gymnasts, and cheerleaders (is there going to be a "Bring It On" four? PLEASE?) only. Trust us. (No, really -- we just attempted it and we're currently writing this from the floor covered in ice packs.)

Victoria Justice shines bright on her latest single, "Gold."

We've felt a sense of injustice NOT having a new Victoria Justice song to add to our summer playlist (see what we did there?), but guess what? The wait is over! The Nickelodeon star-turned-pop sensation has FINALLY dropped her new tune, "Gold," which you can officially download June 18. Now, would someone PLEASE invite us over to their pool so we can practice our synchronized swimming routine to this jam? J/K! (Kinda...)

The "Victorious" star once dazzled us with a stripped-down version of fun.'s "Some Nights," but on "Gold" she sets her acoustic vibe aside for a peppier sound that meshes flawlessly with the flirtatious, confident lyrics: "Hey, boy, watcha gonna do/ If you want me like I want you/ Then man up and make your move/ I'm Gold, Gold."

Hmmm, sounds like Victoria doesn't have ANY time for clueless bros this summer -- she's way to valuable for that. We'd also like to think that Victoria's using this song to subliminally remind us that it's always smart to invest in gold -- financial security is totally on everyone's list of turn ons.

Alicia Keys is kind of having a moment. Between hooking up with Maxwell in her "Fire We Make" video, and then, you know, the giant rhinestone-encrusted Vegas-style headdress in her "Tears Always Win" video, the "New Day" singer is basically living out every single one of our fantasies! (Doesn't everyone dream about Maxwell?) Add her recent stint on "VH1 Storytellers" to the list, and you'll understand if we lose the ability to speak due to our immense feelings of jealousy. Performing a stripped-down version of "No One," to appear on her new "VH1 Storytellers" disc, Alicia completely nailed her vocals as she sang the hook: "No one/ No one/ No one/ Could get in the way of what I'm feeling." But, in traditional Alicia fashion, girlfriend switched up the melody in the verse juuuuust a tiny bit to keep us on our toes. Why? BECAUSE SHE CAN! Paul McCartney joins up with The Bloody Beetroots and Youth on "Out Of Sight."

We have to admit, when we heard the words "Paul McCartney" and "electronic track" together, we came down with a serious case of the #SMH's. We should've known better. The erstwhile Beatle has long been a musical polymath, well ahead of the curve in a variety of genres. Even still, we never would've expected his "Out Of Sight" collaboration with The Bloody Beetroots, with a helping hand from Youth, to be this good.

McCartney is as well known and recognizable as his counterpart, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (not sure if, like McCartney's, that's an official knight title) is mysterious; the Italian electro and dance-punk producer typically performs behind a mask. Regardless, the partnership was worthwhile.

"I'm really proud to have had the chance to work with such a legendary figure," Rifo said of working with the icon and Youth, the alter-ego of Martin Glover, known as the bassist of Killing Joke (who also collaborated with McCartney in the group The Firemen).   "I was impressed by the creative energy in the room when you get three musicians from three different generations vibing together in the studio."

The track, which will appear on Rifo's HIDE, our on Ultra Music in September, counters between soulful, blues crooning from the veteran vocalist over plaintive piano chords before exploding into the type of euphoric build and release you can imagine a stadium full of kids losing their collective brains over. That's something McCartney has had a little bit of experience with over the decades.

Listen to Britney Spears' sunshiny "Smurfs 2" jam, "Ooh La La."

#PRAISE! IT'S FINALLY HERE!! Britney Spears' contribution to the "Smurfs 2" soundtrack is called "Ooh La La," and it's a bouncy, lively track that's perfect for kids of all ages. Seriously, anyone between the ages of two and 32 WILL LOVE IT. But also keep in mind that there probably won't be any gyrating or bedroom scenes in the forthcoming music video, if y'all know what I mean. (Britney Lite, if you will.) And last thing: Please note that we have a small number of happy Britney GIFs in this post, because that's how we best express ourselves.

Slated to play over the end credits when the movie hits theaters July 31, the Dr. Luke-produced "Ooh La La" is a bright, sunshiny pop jam that perfectly caters to the "Smurfs 2" demographic (aka Brit's kids). In fact, Brit's boys played a large part in her decision to record the song in the first place. Britney explains: "The main reason why I did it was because my boys. They're obsessed with the Smurfs. We've seen 'The Smurfs' movie a million trillion times and they were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that's the reason why I did it. It's about feeling good. Like when a guy makes you giddy. It's more of a feeling. When I eat chocolate I have that 'ooh la la' feeling."

Over Dr. Luke's synth-heavy, sparkling beat, Britney coos: "Ooh my my baby don't be shy/ I see that spark flashing in your eye/ My heart beats fast 'cause I want it all/ So baby come with me and be my ooh la la." And sure, "Ooh La La" could definitely be about the feeling Brit gets when she eats chocolate, or it could also be about certain other things... ADULT things.

SURPRISE! Taylor Swift is surprised at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards!

Many pop stars have their own versions of Taylor Swift's famous "Swifty Surprise" face (see: Niall Horan's, Carly Rae Jepsen's, and Katy Perry's), but there's just nothing like watching the master at work. Take, for example, Taylor's latest surprised face at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards: Notice how her expression isn't just about the gaping "OMG!" mouth, but she's also incorporating an incredibly sexy stare. Aaaaand that completes this week's "How To Be Flawless Like Taylor Swift" lesson! In our next session, we'll learn how to master Taylor's effortless hair flip.

The "Everything Has Changed" singer was snapped looking in total awe at the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto (and not to mention AWEsome in that bandage dress). We wonder what moment at the award show got Taylor looking so surprised? Perhaps it was when she won the Favorite International Artist Award? Or maybe she was in utter disbelief at Demi Lovato's TWO stellar performances? Or maybe she got to see International Video Of The Year winner Avril Lavigne's engagement ring in person! Orrr maybe Taylor just threw her surprised expression out there as a reminder that she still OWNS that look! (No, seriously, when is she gonna get a trademark on that ish?)

Napping and manicuring: Demi Lovato is on her multitasking grind!

Apparently we've had it wrong this entire time. Here we thought that the definition of being a baller was having a pajama party on your private jet, or better yet, BOOKING A TRIP TO LITERAL OUTER SPACE. But nope, NONE OF THAT even compares to Demi Lovato's "NAPICURE," i.e. that one time the "Heart Attack" singer got a manicure while napping. Because a true baller KNOWS how to multitask.

Posting her "napicure" to Twitter, Demi captioned: "Just took an hour nap and woke up with THE BEST nails!!!! Hahaha." To which we say, #UNREAL. While there's no word on why Demi was so tired in the first place (although we also tend to fall asleep when the manicurist gets to the hand massage part), we have a feeling it could have something to do with her judging role on the upcoming season of "The X Factor," promoting her bangin' new single, "Made In The USA," and/or her e-book! Either way, Demi, we commend you for having the balls to ask for what you want! Also: You should probably BOOK it to your lawyer's office STAT to copyright the word "napicure." Can't you see it? A salon full of pink beds, 9,000 thread-count Egyptian sheets, nails, and naps?? Genius.

+ Hunter Hayes, Encore: Rising country star Hunter Hayes has been making serious waves recently, what with co-writing songs for Rascal Flatts, touring with Carrie Underwood, and nabbing three 2013 Grammy nominations. But you have to figure he was destined to do big things -- after all, he DID cut his first album at the age of nine (!!). (It also doesn't hurt that he's also absolutely adorbz.) The now-drinking-aged phenom is re-releasing his major label album, this time as Encore. The deluxe record is aptly named as it gives his debut eponymous album's release a new shine, including songs from the debut with eight new and re-recorded tracks. Check out his new romantic and anthemic track, "Light Me Up," which he's offering as a free download, and watch his "I Want Crazy" performance from the 2013 CMT Awards.

+ Mac Miller, Watching Movies With The Sound Off: Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller switches things up for his second studio album, even rapping over the jazz-tinged Pharrell Williams-produced tune "Objects In The Mirror." "What I like to do when I'm writing a song like this is something in my life that happens, I take the emotion," he revealed to "RapFix Live" of the song. Listen to the "Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family" star's NSFW "Watching Movies," where he spits dark rhymes to a foreboding beat, and watch the superhero-themed "S.D.S." video, where Corey Feldman shows up, natch. Also check out "Suplexes Inside Of Complexes And Duplexes" featuring Jay Electronica and "Gees" featuring Schoolboy Q.

+ Kanye West, Yeezus: If you think fatherhood was going to chill Yeezy out, think again. The innovative provocateur has loads on his mind, and Yeezus aggressively takes the listener on a NSFW, hostile, raging, and ambitious ride on songs like the squalling "New Slaves," "Black Skinhead," "I Am A God," and the pulsating opener "On Sight." And while he may have said "This album is all about giving ... no f---s at all" during his New York City Yeezus listening event, the album showcases exactly the opposite: The inspiration seems more conscious vehement commentary on various perceived injustices than the "eff it" detachment his statement implies.

+ J. Cole, Born Sinner: Jay-Z protege J.Cole opens his long postponed sophomore album with the line "It's way darker this time" on "Villuminati." It signals the personal themes he explores on the record where human fallibility and its contradictions are displayed, from the braggart to the humbled ("Let Nas Down"), confessed cheater ("Runaway") to temptation ("She Knows" with Amber Coffman). Listen to boast track "Forbidden Fruit" featuring Kendrick Lamar, watch the video for "Power Trip" featuring Miguel, and stream the album in its entirety via J.Cole's website.

+ 3OH!3, Omens: For 3OH!3's Omens, the Colorado-based electropop duo went old-school for the recording process. "We did it just like we used to, back in 2004. In my basement in Boulder, Colorado, just the two of us," Nat explained to Buzzworthy. The duo's first album in three years features 11 tracks. Watch 3OH!3's "Back To Life" and "Youngblood" videos, and stream Omens in its entirety via SoundCloud.

+ Kelly Rowland, Talk A Good Game: The newly appointed "X Factor" judge is clearing the air on her new album, exorcising bad relationships and reviving the good ones. The former comes by way of "Gone" with Wiz Khalifa, where Kelly gives a guy the ultimate kiss-off and "Dirty Laundry," which is a heartbreaking confessional about an abusive relationship. On the positive side, Kelly reunites with her Destiny's Child soul sisters, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams, on "You've Changed."

+ Hanson, Anthem: The brothers Hanson-- Isaac, Taylor, and Zac -- aim for the rafters on their aptly named ninth studio album, Anthem. To wit, check out the hooked-up riff rock "Fired Up" and "You Can't Stop Us," which shimmy with classic rock undertones and sing-along lyrics. Also, watch their "Get The Girl Back" video, which features actors Kat Dennings, Nikki Reed, Drake Bell, and Drew Seeley.
