Selena Gomez tapped for 'Hotel Transylvania' film

+ Miley Cyrus is out and Selena Gomez is in to voice the part of Dracula's daughter in the animated film, "Hotel Transylvania." Adam Sandler plays Dracula and Cee-Lo Green will also star. (E!)

+ Though Adele beat out the Jonas Brothers in the Grammy category for Best New Artist in '09, there are no hard feelings. "To Adele... she's only like one of the best artists ever. It's cool," says brother Kevin. She's up for six noms on Sunday. (MTV News)

+ After much speculation Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, confirms via tweet that Drake is indeed collaborating on Bieb's Believe. (MTV News)

+ Maroon 5's Adam Levine has launched his own label. His first signing to 222 Records is "Glee" star Matthew Morrison. "I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew's forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release," said Levine. (E!)

+ OutKast's Andre 3000 and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy have been tapped for a Gorillaz collaboration. The free track, "DoYaThing," will be available on Converse's website on Feb. 23. (Rap-Up)

Did everyone's hearts instantly begin to pound to the beat of "Bootylicious" when they saw Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams sharing a photo opp? Or was it just us with the high hopes that this could mean the Destiny's Child reunion rumor may be coming true?!

Kel and Michelle were snapped together attending the third-annual Essence Black Women In Music reception last night. We totally get that both singers are doing just fine with their solo careers -- Kelly's been dropping new videos and Michelle's been busy singing on Broadway (not to mention the group's famous third, Beyoncé, ain't suffering) -- but we'd like to imagine the two spent the majority of their time together reminiscing about the past. We bet they were all, "Remember when we were like, THE MOST AMAZING GIRL GROUP IN THE WORLD? That was fun!"

Ladies, PLEASE tell us you're gonna get back together someday -- 'cause we're really, really ready for that jelly.

Watch Flo Rida featuring Sia's new video, 'Wild Ones.'

Flo Rida is basically the king of American pop, but who knew he was such a badass in Dubai? Flo's new video, "Wild Ones," was shot in the desert oasis, and it features stunning vocals by U.K. songstress Sia on the hook. The song itself is a club-ready banger, sporting Flo Rida's signature quick rhymes and a straight-to-the-point chorus: "Hey, I heard you were a wild one/Oooh, if I took you home/It'd be a home run/Show me how you'll do." Hey, at least Sia knows what she wants.

Sia herself isn't in the video, but Flo Rida and his entourage make up for it in full -- Flo and his pals get their skydive on (no literally, they're jumping out of planes!), and they party it up in the mini helicopter beforehand. 'Cause celebrities aren't normal and don't get frightened in tiny propeller planes, obvs.

After their skydiving expedition, Flo fist pumps his way through the sights of Dubai taking in the scenery and chilling out with the locals. But when night falls it's back to business: Time to hit the club. Flo and his peeps chug champagne, take shots and grind all up on the hot local girls. Basically, it's the best vacation you've never taken. Leave it to Flo to make us long for a 12-hour flight.

Much of the world is currently gearing up for Eurovision, the endlessly cheesy but ultimately lovable international contest to determine -- wait for it! -- the best song in the entire world. Which is like, amazing, right? My favorite entries usually come from Sweden, Denmark and Norway, since Scandinavia is basically the epicenter of all pop genius. And because U.S. listeners don't normally get exposed to these incredible imports, I'm sorting through the mass of entries to pick out some of the best tracks deserving of American attention.

Right now, get ready to go global, because I'm taking y'all on a wild ride across the Atlantic. And you know what they say: Once you go Scandinavian, you never go back. (That's the expression, right?)

Swedish musician Loreen

It's shocking that the Eurovision Song Contest isn't better known in the United States, given that it's such a big deal in much of the world, even if it's often mocked for its goofy self-seriousness. The annual songwriting contest allows participating nations to submit each country's best tune. Each song is performed in a massive "American Idol"-style concert, and viewers can vote for their favorite song. A winner is then crowned, bringing great pride to their home country. In recent years, as many as 600 million people (!!!!!!!!!!!!) have tuned in to watch the contest (that's, like, 10 percent of the population of the world, for you mathletes out there), and Eurovision is responsible for launching the careers of little acts like Abba and Celine Dion. Heard of them? Yeah. Exactly.

But prior to Eurovision, each participating country holds their own national competition. In Sweden, it's Melodifestivalen, in Norway, Melodi Grand Prix and in Denmark, it's Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. And these countries are SLAYING the entire game right now. Especially Sweden -- with the best pop songwriters and producers in the world (think Max Martin and Bloodshy & Avant) as well as some of the best pop stars in the game (Robyn, anyone?) coming from that part of the world, I'm pretty convinced that there's something in the water out there. And luckily for us, these songs are often written in English and penned and produced with top-notch producers, which means they sound pretty freakin' good to American ears.

Denmark has already selected their Eurovision entry with Soluna Salay's "Should've Known Better," a lovely if understated guitar-driven midtempo, but a few other entries grabbed my attention; it was hard to argue with Ditte Marie's Kylie-biting euphoric "Overflow," which has a pummeling beat and sing-along lyrics, as well as Valen:tine's "Nowhere," which evokes Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You," but with a deliciously grungy bridge. Better still from Denmark, in my opinion, was Jesper Nohrstedt's "Take Our Hearts," one of the finest songs I've heard this year. It's like Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" mashed up with Leona Lewis & Avicii's underrated "Collide," with dulcet pianos and layers of impeccably crooned vocals cascading over a sharp house beat. For my part, I think Jesper Nohrstedt was robbed, but hey, there's always next year.

Norway's got some stiff competition, too, with a few standout tracks that are hard to resist. Minnie-Oh's "You and I" is a grinding slab of electro-pop lushness, while my beloved Lise Karlsnes, who has a terrific track record of making Robyn-esque future-pop with surging hooks (see "Red Hot" for more), released my favorite Norwegian entry: "Sailors," a fantastically exuberant ditty that shows off Lise's wistful vocals and unique swagger.

But, of course, Melodifestivalen always reigns supreme, and even now that the show's only just kicked off, an early favorite has emerged: "Euphoria" by the bewitching Swedish chanteuse Loreen, who first rose to fame as a contestant on Swedish Idol back in 2004 before reinventing herself in time for last year's Melodifestivalen, where she first performed her smash "My Heart Is Refusing Me," an achingly sad and chilling dance-pop dirge that features some of the best vocals, like, ever. I'm talking history of the world. (It later hit the Top 10 in Sweden.) Her follow-up effort, "Sober," is a haunting ode to a regrettable one-night-stand that has the same crying-on-the-dance floor vibe, but even more amped up.

But the new single, "Euphoria," might be her best to date: Although she's only just premiered it live (the studio version is forthcoming), her Melodifestivalen performance is remarkable, with crushingly powerful vocals and ninja-style dance moves (plus a well-placed wind machine!) that must be seen to be believed. In an interview with the excellent pop blog Scandipop, Loreen called the song "mystical," and that's exactly what it is -- almost otherworldly haunting, but with a jubilant pop chorus that you can't get out of your head.

I'm putting my money on Loreen to take the top prize at Melodifestivalen during the finals in a few weeks, and she might even have a chance of winning the whole Eurovision shebang with a track as enormous as "Euphoria," especially given the attention that Stateside bloggers have begun sending her way. I may be missing Melodifestivalen this year, but I think if I launch a Kickstarter now, I should have enough to make my way back to my spiritual homeland by 2013.

Lindsay Lohan at the Annual amfAR Gala in NYC

Lindsay Lohan, do we need to talk? Before the hate mail pours in, we are not throwin' shade -- but we literally did not even recognize Lindsay here, photographed last night at the Annual amfAR Gala in NYC. Don't get us wrong -- that dress is on point. It's hard as hell to wear white, not only in life but in public and in front of cameras. But then when you scan up and get to the face and the hair, it's kind of like... "Who is this person and what did you do with Lindsay Lohan?"

We know Linds has had quite the set of ups and downs to deal with over the past few years, and like everyone else who knows every last word to "Mean Girls," we're pulling for her. We think maybe Lindsay just needs to turn off her phone for a day or two, schedule a deep tissue massage, and spend a night in with a jar of salsa and the Lifetime Movie Network. Boom, rejuvenated in 24 hours.

Venice, Calif., blues-rockers Terraplane Sun

Today in "Videos That Look Like Sweet Instagram Photos," we've got a golden-hued trip to the beach from Terraplane Sun, a Venice, Calif., band that knows a thing or two about hitting the boardwalk. "Funnel Of Love" (made famous by country/rockabilly singer Wanda Jackson) captures the blues-rock quartet soaking up the sun, snaking some lunch-time brewskis, pointing at palm tees, chasing seagulls on the beach and generally doing all the awesome things Californians who don't work in an office get to do while y'all are still wearing gloves and overcoats. Don't hate! After this video, the band will totally spend an hour and a half in the car just to drive to their show on the other side of town, so we'd say that makes things even.

The laid-back track starts with a sizzling guitar riff before chugging a heavy dose of mellow, slowing things down with handclaps, finger snaps (!) and a tasty keyboard solo. "Here I go, I'm going down, down, down," Ben Rothbard sings, though after watching dude romp around the beach, we bet his mood's back on the way up.

"Funnel Of Love" is the latest from Terraplane Sun's Coyote, which the band cranked out in three days last year. And they say Angelenos are lazy. Go ahead, get your vitamin D on.

In case you didn't hear the exciting news last week, Tech N9ne is MTV's POSTED artist for February! The "Am I A Psycho?" rapper's already proven he makes for an excellent tour guide when he showed us around his insanely posh record company HQ. This week, Tech takes us on two very different tours: his hometown of Kansas City, MO, and his free USO concert tour in the Middle East. No need to thank us for the free, all-exclusive vacays, guys.

Our first video shows Tech visiting the neighborhood where he grew up in Kansas City while offering peeks at his old schools and house. We even learn that he owes his fame to local record store 7th Heaven: "7th Heaven is where I had my first major signing to promote [Tech N9ne's third studio album] Anghellic, and it was massive. They gave us our start."

Next, we head to the Middle East for Tech N9ne's USO tour. Instead of taking a well-deserved break from doing 90 shows in 90 days, Tech volunteers five free performances for American soldiers stationed there. A montage of clips catches Tech performing for the troops along with interviews of soldiers grateful for the famous rapper's visit. Goes to show ya: Just because you're from middle America doesn't mean you won't end up on a USO tour in the Middle East someday! Dream big, kids.

Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' rerelease 'The Complete Confection' drops in March.

Katy Perry is mad busy, y'all. In between killing it with her Super Bowl outfit and shape-shifting from a twin into a mermaid (yeah, it's crazy), she also found time to like, release a new album. Katy Perry: now a confirmed superhuman.

Scheduled for release March 27, the new album, The Complete Confection, is a special edition of Katy's double platinum-certified Teenage Dream. The Complete Confection will feature a limited-edition lenticular cover as well as all 12 tracks from the original Teenage Dream, including "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework," "E.T.," "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," and "The One That Got Away." (In case you forgot, all of those songs peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart. No biggie or anything.)

So what's different? Confection includes three brand-new songs as well as versions of "E.T" featuring Kanye West, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" featuring Missy Elliott, and our personal fave, an acoustic version of "The One That Got Away." Also included on the new album is a 7-minute Tommie Sunshine megamix featuring all six No. 1s. Or if you ask us, "7 minutes of pure heaven."

Katy explains: "This is the complete story of Teenage Dream. It was an incredible honor to tie [Michael Jackson's] Billboard Hot 100 record, but I'm moving forward and had a few things left to get off my chest." OMG, it's like her personal diary, guys! And we're so ready to read it.

In case you were one of the unfortunate folks who didn't grab a ticket to your nearest Watch The Throne tour before they sold out, Jay-Z and Kanye West's latest video "Paris" will put you right in the heart of the action you missed. Shot at the Los Angeles stop on their tour, go inside the somewhat eerie, pulsing arena as 'Ye and Jay get straight-up CRAY in that muth. And by "CRAY," we mean, "Seriously be careful if you're epileptic." This is level 10 on the "How many flashing lights can we safely embed into one video?" scale.

Much of "Paris" is shot using a mirrored effect (double the Jay-Zs and Kanyes!) making the already dizzying laser show that much more intense. The studio version of the song is replaced with live vocals as clips of dancing models are conveniently spliced into footage of the crowd from the actual live show. (At least I think they're models -- I didn't see any girls like that when I went throne watching.) As Kanye raps the breakdown toward the end of the song, a computer animated panther enters the venue, flanked by what look to be seated Roman warriors. (Because no one in history went more "gorillas" than the Romans, right?)

"Paris" is a continuation of the story we've been following since Watch The Throne dropped in August of last year -- it's opulence at it's finest and most conspicuous, but it comes with a conscious and a price. (In this case, maybe seizures.)

Dennis Haskins, AKA EFFING PRINCIPAL BELDING And Skrillex hang out.

Mr. Belding (er, Dennis Haskins, but he probably answers to "Belding") and Skrillex were photographed breathing the same air in Las Vegas at party for club XS. Remote Control Blog's Rebecca Brown (@Rebecca_NYC), who is the blessed soul who drew my attention to this Belding x Skrillex mashup, brought up a salient point: Do you think Mr. Belding thought Skrillex was Corey Feldman? I wonder how much Belding gets paid to show up to events, or if he just does it for free knowing how much joy people get out of saying, "OH MY GOD, THAT'S MR. BELDING!" It's almost a sort of charity, in a way.

The Grammy Awards are this Sunday, and Skrillex, who was MTV's EDM Artist of 2011, is nominated for five Grammys, including Best New Artist. He also just picked up two HIGHLY PRESTIGIOUS 2012 mtvU Woodie Award nominations for “Woodie of the Year” and “Performing Woodie" and sold out massive shows on the East and West Coast last month. But I bet meeting Mr. Belding was probably trumped all of that.
