Pendaftaran Beasiswa S2 Kemenpora 2018-2019

Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga (Kemenpora) RI membuka pendaftaran beasiswa S2 bagi pemuda berprestasi di seluruh Indonesia tahun akademik 2018-2019, terutama pemuda berprestasi yang aktif dalam organisasi kepemudaan.

Beasiswa S2 Kemenpora ini bekerjasama dengan dengan sembilan perguruan tinggi negeri (PTN) di dalam negeri yang menjadi pilihan tujuan studi beasiswa S2 pemuda berprestasi dari Kemenpora.

Para penerima beasiswa Kemenpora nantinya akan memperoleh tanggungan biaya SPP selama empat (4) semester pada PTN yang dipilih. Tahun ini Kemenpora menyediakan total 250 kursi beasiswa di 9 PTN tujuan studi.

Universitas Indonesia : Program studi Ketahanan Nasional dengan peminatan Kajian Strategik Pengembangan Kepemimpinan
Universitas Gadjah Mada : Program studi Ketahanan Nasional dengan peminatan Manajemen Tata Kelola Start Up.
Universitas Hasanuddin : Program studi Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Wilayah dan Pedesaan dengan peminatan Kajian Manajemen Kepemimpinan Pemuda
Universitas Sumatera Utara : Program studi Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Wilayah dengan peminatan Manajemen Kepemimpinan Pemuda
Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel : Program studi Dirasah Islamiyah dengan konsentrasi Studi Islam dan Kepemudaan
Universitas Mulawarman : Program studi Ilmu Administrasi dengan konsentrasi Kebijakan Publik dan Kepemudaan.
Universitas Padjajaran : Program studi Magister Ilmu Politik
Universitas Negeri Jakarta : Program studi Pendidikan Olahraga
Universitas Diponegoro : Program studi Ilmu Ekonomi dan Studi Pembangunan, konsentrasi Ekonomi Industri dan Kewirausahaan.

Dari total 250 kuota beasiswa yang tersedia, 150 kuota beasiswa ditujukan untuk lima (5) PTN mitra yang masing-masing mendapatkan 30 kuota beasiswa, yakni UI, UGM, UNHAS, USU, dan UINSA.
Kemudian empat (4) PTN rintisan, yakni UNMUL, UNPAD, UNJ, dan UNDIP masing-masing 25 kuota beasiswa dari 100 kuota.

Persyaratan Akademik:

Lulus Sarjana (S1) dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dengan akreditasi Program Studi minimal B
Lulus ujian masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri yang dilamar meliputi Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) dan TOEFL

Persyaratan Non Akademik:

Pemuda Indonesia berusia 16-28 tahun pada tanggal 1 Juli 2018 dibuktikan dengan akte kelahiran.
Bagi aktivis pemuda, merupakan anggota atau pengurus Organisasi Kepemudaan atau Lembaga Masyarakat Berbasis Pemuda dibuktikan dengan surat keterangan/rekomendasi dari Ketua Umum DPP/DPD tingkat Provinsi/Kabupaten/Kota.
Bagi aktivis pemuda, memiliki prestasi di bidang seni, olahraga, sosial budaya, iptek dan imtaq dan olahraga dibuktikan dengan piagam/sertifikat minimal tingkat Kab/Kota.
Bagi olahragawan berprestasi, memiliki prestasi olahraga dibuktikan dengan piagam/sertifikat medali emas minimal setingkat Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON), dikhususkan pada Universitas Negeri Jakarta.
Pelatih berprestasi adalah pelatih yang memiliki jejak/track record prestasi olahragawan binaan peraih medali emas setingkat Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) atau memiliki sertifikat kepelatihan tingkat nasional, dibuktikan dengan piagam/sertifikat/medali emas atlit binaan minimal setingkat Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON), dikhususkan pada Universitas Negeri Jakarta.
Diutamakan bagi yang belum pernah memperoleh bantuan atau fasilitasi dari Kemenpora, dan sedang tidak terikat dalam program beasiswa lain, dibuktikan dengan surat pernyataan.
Bukan merupakan Aparatur Sipil Negara/PNS, dibuktikan dengan surat pernyataan.

Prosedur Pendaftaran:

Mendaftarkan diri secara online pada situs penerimaan mahasiswa pada Universitas/PTN mitra Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga dengan mengikuti ketentuan yang berlaku di PTN tersebut.
Setelah melaksanakan pendaftaran, maka pendaftar harus mengirimkan dokumen/bukti persyaratan akademik dan non akademik kepada PTN dan pihak Kemenpora, berupa:

Fotocopy Akte Kelahiran.
Piagam/sertifikat penghargaan atas prestasi di bidang seni, olahraga, sosial, iptek, dan imtaq.
Surat keterangan/rekomendasi dari ketua umum DPP/DPD Organisasi Kepemudaan atau Lembaga Masyarakat Berbasis Pemuda tingkat pusat atau tingkat Provinsi/Kabupaten/Kota.
Piagam/sertifikat/medali atau berupa penghargaan lainnya pada olahragawan/pelatih berprestasi.
Surat keterangan sehat yang dikeluarkan oleh Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah/Daerah.
Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian.
Surat Keterangan Bebas Narkoba yang dikeluarkan oleh Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) atau Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah Daerah.
Surat pernyataan tidak sedang terikat dalam program beasiswa dari instansi lain di atas matera Rp 6.000.
Surat pernyataan bukan Aparatur Sipil Negara di atas materai Rp 6.000.

Applications for Australia Awards Scholarships Open 1 February 2018

Australia Awards in Indonesia is pleased to announce that applications for Australia Awards Scholarships will open on Thursday 1 February. Australia Awards Scholarships provide opportunities for individuals to gain an internationally recognised master or doctoral qualification from an Australian university and have the chance to pursue a career that makes a difference.

Australia Awards Scholarships are targeting Indonesians with the greatest potential to drive development in a range of sectors including economic growth, education, health, governance, and environment management.

The best and the brightest candidates will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership qualities, English skills and their potential to contribute to development in Indonesia.

Australia Awards Scholarships have been offered by the Australian Government for over 60 years as a fundamental part of the Australian development cooperation program in Indonesia.

Applications for Australia Awards Scholarships open on 1 February 2018 and close on 30 April 2018.

Australia Awards in Indonesia are available for the following types of courses:

Master degree courses
Doctorate degree (PhD) programs

Master Degree Courses

The maximum duration for a Master degree program is two years.
Master degree programs may be offered by coursework, by research or by a combination of coursework and research. Masters by research or a combination of coursework and research should be offered only to those applicants who have demonstrated the need for high level research skills in order to undertake research or teaching or to supervise researchers upon their return home.
Double Master degrees are permitted only when both are included in the institution's original offer and both courses can be completed within two years.
Applicants wishing to undertake a Masters by research must investigate an appropriate supervisor. Australian university websites identify the institution’s areas of research strength. Applicants should supply evidence of past research undertaken and highlight outcomes.

Doctorate Degree (PhD) Program

The maximum duration for a PhD is four years.
Study at doctorate level (PhD) may be subject to partner government approval. Normally, approval is given only where the applicant occupies, or is expected to occupy, a senior position requiring individual research or the supervision and training of other researchers in a research organisation (e.g. university or research centre) in the applicant’s home country.

Selection Quotas

Up to 70 per cent of awards overall will be offered to applicants from the Targeted Category (geographic focus areas, embassy partners and central government agencies);
Up to 30 per cent of awards overall will be offered to applicants from the Non-Targeted Category;
Up to 30 per cent of awards will be offered to applicants from Geographic Focus Areas;
85 percent of awards will be offered at Masters level and up to 15 per cent of all awards will be offered at PhD level; and
An equal number of awards will be offered to men and women.

Lenght of Study and Course Options
Scholarships will be available for full-time study of an Australian post-graduate qualification for the minimum period required to complete the award through the relevant Australian university, selected from Australian Government contracted universities.

Online applications

When applying online, all essential supporting documents must be uploaded on OASIS to meet the specific requirements for Indonesia (Long Term Awards Brochure)

We advise applicants submitting online to do so well before the closing date. The online application facility (OASIS) experiences peak usage in the days leading up to the closing date and applicants may experience delays.

Applicants from Indonesia who apply online (through OASIS) must also complete an additional online at this link .

Hardcopy applications

For applicants that are unable to apply online via OASIS, may submitted the application via hardcopy.

Please note that we strongly encourage you to apply online via OASIS first and only apply via hardcopy when you are unable to apply online via OASIS.

Hardcopy applications that consist of one (1) set of the application form and all essential supporting documents must be received by the closing date at the Australia Awards Office.

General Requirements

Be an Indonesian citizen and be residing in and applying for the scholarship from Indonesia.
Not be married or engaged to a person who is eligible to hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status, at any stage of the application, selection, mobilisation processes or while on-scholarship in Australia.
Satisfy Australian Government requirements for international student entry to Australia (health, character etc).
Not be applying for a visa to live in Australia.
Not be applying for another long-term Australia Award unless they have resided outside Australia for twice the length of the total time that they were in Australia (for example, a previous Australia Awards Scholarship recipient in Australia for four years will not be eligible to apply for another Australia Awards Scholarship until they have resided outside Australia or back in Indonesia for eight years).
Have satisfied any specific criteria established by Indonesia or government of Indonesia.
Not be current serving military personnel.
Be able to satisfy all requirements of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection for a DFAT student visa.
Be able to satisfy the admission requirements of the Australian university at which the Scholarship is to be undertaken.

Specifically, candidates must:

Be applying for courses that fall within the areas of development priority (see “Priority Academic Area of Study” below).
Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.9
for Master’s applicants, have an English language proficiency of at least 5.5 in IELTS (or 525 in paper-based TOEFL or 69 in internet based TOEFL or 42 in PTE Academic). The IELTS, TOEFL or PTE Academic result must be current (a test result obtained in April 30, 2016 until April 30,2018 will be considered current). No other English language test (including TOEFL prediction test) results will be accepted;
for PhD applicants, have an English language proficiency of at least 6.0 in IELTS (or 550 in paper-based TOEFL or 79 in internet based TOEFL or 50 in PTE Academic). The IELTS or TOEFL or PTE Academic result must be current (a test result obtained in April 30, 2016 until April 30,2018 will be considered current). No other English language test (including TOEFL prediction test) results will be accepted;
for applicants from GFAs and people with dissabilities, have a GPA equal to or higher than 2.75 or IELTS 5.0 (or 500 in paper-based TOEFL or 59 in internet based TOEFL or 36 in PTE Academic);
Provide contact details of test centre for verification of TOEFL test results.
Include a minimum of one (1) copy of the original Institutional TOEFL test result.
Already hold an undergraduate degree, if applying for a Masters.
Already have a Masters, if applying for a Doctorate.
Answer all relevant questions on the application form.
Be willing and available to undertake full-time (Monday-Friday 0800-1600) English for Academic Purposes (EAP) training in Indonesia prior to studying in Australia, if offered a scholarship.

Additionally:

If applying for a Doctorate, applicants will be restricted to staff of universities, higher education institutions, research institutes, key policy makers and targeted candidates in other agencies associated with DFAT activities.
It is highly desirable for Doctorate applicants to have a letter of support from an Australian university for their proposed field of study.

Program National Champion Scholarship (NCS) ini merupakan salah satu wujud komitmen dari pendiri Tanoto Foundation yaitu Bapak Sukanto Tanoto dan Ibu Tinah Bingei Tanoto untuk menanggulangi kemiskinan melalui Pendidikan (Education), Pemberdayaan (Empowerment), dan Peningkatan Kualitas Hidup (Enhancement).

Pemberian beasiswa adalah salah satu program Tanoto Foundation dalam meningkatkan akses kepada pendidikan yang berkualitas. Program ini memberikan kesempatan pemuda Indonesia yang berprestasi namun menghadapi kendala ekonomi untuk menempuh pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas. Program beasiswa ini juga turut serta dalam menyiapkan generasi pemimpin Indonesia di masa depan.

Sasaran National Champion Scholarship adalah mahasiswa yang memiliki prestasi akademik dan potensi kepemimpinan tinggi, namun menghadapi keterbatasan finansial.

Manfaat Bagi Tanoto Scholars

A. Manfaat Keuangan

Biaya kuliah setiap semester sampai dengan semester VIII (delapan). Uang kuliah akan ditransfer ke rekening Perguruan Tinggi.
Tunjangan bulanan yang ditransfer ke rekening penerima Beasiswa, akan dibayarkan sejak perjanjian penandatanganan Beasiswa.

B. Manfaat Non Keuangan

Program pelatihan kepemimpinan dan pengembangan soft skills (komunikasi, presentasi, pemecahan masalah dan pengambilan keputusan).
Program pengabdian masyarakat melalui Tanoto Scholars Association.
Program pengembangan jejaring, termasuk melalui Tanoto Scholars Gathering.
Program konseling bagi Tanoto Scholars yang mengalami kendala pencapaian akademis
Program magang di perusahaan yang tergabung dalam Group Royal Golden Eagle

B.PROGRAM STRATA 1 (S1)

Usia maksimum 21 tahun pada saat pendaftaran.
IPK terakhir minimum 3.00 (skala 4.00).
Bagi mahasiswa tahun pertama, nilai rata-rata minimum rapor SMU kelas 3 adalah 8.00 (skala 10.00) untuk rapor format lama atau 3.00 (skala 4.00) untuk rapor format baru.

C. PROGRAM STRATA 2 (S2)

Usia maksimum 40 tahun pada saat pendaftaran
Mempunyai pengalaman kerja minimum 2 tahun
IPK Program S1 minimum 3.25 (skala 4.00)

PROSES SELEKSI

Seleksi Dokumentasi

Pada tahap ini Tanoto Foundation akan memeriksa kelengkapan administrasi dan dokumen yang diisyaratkan dan melakukan seleksi nilai akademis.

Tes Psikologi

Pelamar yang lolos seleksi tahap pertama akan mengikuti tes psikologi mencakup intelegensia, kemampuan memberikan solusi, mengatasi konflik, mengambil keputusan dan potensi kepemimpinan. Pengujian dilakukan oleh tim konsultan professional.

Wawancara

Merupakan seleksi tahap akhir berupa interaksi langsung antara pelamar Beasiswa dan tim Tanoto Foundation, untuk lebih jauh mengenal karakter dan melihat kekuatan tekat pelamar Beasiswa.

We are calling for :

Research Volunteers : Assisting our research on countering violent extremism and human rights advocacy as well as providing academic writings and/or policy recommendations.
Project Volunteers : Assisting the implementation of our projects: organizing conferences/seminars/trainings/workshops.
Communications Volunteers : Assisting our campaign efforts on raising the awareness of the importance of peace and human rights values offline & on social media.
Teaching Volunteers : Providing support to Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Indonesia with Bahasa Indonesia, English, German skills and/or providing support with basic legal knowledge and/or other soft skills.

Indonesian Youth Collaboration Forum 2018 merupakan sebuah wadah kolaborasi pemuda Indonesia yang diinisiasi oleh KOMA Youth Collaboration untuk menampung aspirasi pemuda dari 34 provinsi di Indonesia. Indonesian Youth Collaboration Forum 2018 hadir sebagai transformasi ruang aspirasi yang menghubungkan pemuda dengan pemerintah melalui proses analisis yang kuat serta data yang akurat. Aspirasi yang selama ini hanya disalurkan secara konvensional (tanpa data dan proses analisis) di media sosial dan aksi unjuk rasa di jalan seringkali tak berujung pada solusi yang tepat.Pemuda Indonesia yang saat ini sangat lekat dengan perangkat teknologi informasi sudah saatnya untuk menyampaikan aspirasi melalui wadah yang terintegarasi dengan proses analisis dan data yang akurat.

Indonesian Youth Collaboration Forum 2018 mengusung tema “Rembuk pemuda nasional, membangun Indonesia melalui kolaborasi dan kontribusi”. Pemuda dari 34 provinsi di Indonesia akan berembuk untuk menganalisis kebijakan pemerintah dengan 10 isu utama yang berasal dari 10 prioritas pembangunan nasional yang tertuang dalam Rencana Kerja Pemerintah tahun 2018. Rekomendasi tersebut nantinya akan langsung diteruskan ke pemerintah untuk dijadikan bahan pertimbangan dalam proses pengembangan kebijakan.

Selain rekomendasi kebijakan, aspirasi pemuda Indonesia di Indonesian Youth Collaboration Forum 2018 juga akan dituangkan dalam bentuk deklarasi pemuda nasional dan rencana aksi pemuda. Rencana aksi tersebut merupakan bentuk kontribusi nyata yang akan dilakukan pemuda Indonesia untuk menopang proses pembangunan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah.

Pemuda Pejuang Iklim Indonesia (Dok. Youth Leadership Camp Committee)

Jakarta, 6 Februari 2017 – Kantor UNESCO Jakarta, UN CC:Learn (The One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership) melalui UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research), bekerjasama dengan The Climate Reality Project Indonesia (TCRPI) telah mengadakan “Youth Leadership Camp for Climate Change 2017” sebagai bagian dari pelaksanaan fase kedua UN CC:Learn proyek Strengthening Human Resources, Learning and Skills Development to Address Climate Change dengan dukungan dari Pemerintah Swiss dan mitra Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa. Pelatihan ini akan berlangsung selama 3 hari sejak hari Sabtu hingga Senin tanggal 4 – 6 Februari 2017 di wilayah Cagar Biosfer Cibodas.

Pelatihan dengan peserta 50 pemuda/i terpilih ini bertujuan untuk membekali peserta dengan informasi tentang perubahan iklim, gaya hidup yang harus dilakukan agar lebih rendah karbon, dan keterampilan komunikasi untuk mendukung aksi pengendalian perubahan iklim.

Setelah pelatihan, peserta akan dikukuhkan menjadi Pejuang Iklim dan diwajibkan untuk menerapkan aksi pengendalian perubahan iklim secara langsung di lingkungan sekitarnya. Peserta terbaik akan disponsori oleh UN CC:Learn untuk mengikuti “Tribal Climate Camp 2017” di Amerika Serikat pada tanggal 31 Juli-4 Agustus 2017 yang akan diikuti pemuda/i, kaum profesional pegiat perubahan iklim dan masyarakat adat dari Amerika Serikat dan Kanada.

Salah satu peserta camp, Claudia dari Universitas Padjajaran, menyatakan bahwa setelah camp dia merasa lebih percaya diri untuk menggunakan energinya sebagai pemuda untuk menjalankan gaya hidup yang rendah karbon. “Sebagai generasi future leader, saya ingin agar pemuda Indonesia menjadi agen perubahan dengan melakukan aksi nyata untuk menghadapi perubahan iklim. Karena kalau bukan kita, siapa lagi? Hanya kita yang bisa menyelamatkan nasib kita sendiri di masa depan. Karena menjadi perubahan yang diinginkan merupakan langkah lebih jauh dari sekedar menginginkan perubahan"

Prof. Shahbaz Khan, Director of UNESCO Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific menyatakan bahwa UNESCO mendukung pelibatan pemuda-pemudi dunia termasuk Indonesia untuk menjadi penggiat perubahan iklim, salah satunya dengan turut menjaga kelestarian alam dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat sekitar. “Indonesia sudah memiliki 11 Cagar Biosfer, 4 Warisan Alam Dunia, 2 Taman Bumi (Geopark) dan daftar ini dapat terus bertambah mengingat kekayaan ekosistem yang dimiliki Indonesia. Pemuda-pemudi Indonesia adalah generasi harapan kami untuk dapat meneruskan upaya pelestarian alam dan upaya adaptasi dalam mendukung Agenda 2030 guna mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDG)“

Cristina Rekakavas, UN CC:Learn Secretariat, menyampaikan selamat kepada seluruh mahasiswa dan pemuda/i atas partisipasinya dalam acara ini. Acara ini berkontribusi terhadap pelaksanaan National Climate Change Learning Strategy of Indonesia, yang diluncurkan pemerintah Indonesia pada tahun 2013. "Pembinaan pemuda/i merupakan investasi yang penting untuk dilakukan guna dapat mewujudkan masa depan yang berkelanjutan. Amanda Katili Niode, Manager The Climate Reality Project Indonesia, mengatakan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan wadah bagi pemuda Indonesia untuk mendalami isu perubahan iklim sekaligus belajar bagaimana komunikasi pada masyarakat. “Pemuda Indonesia merupakan segmen penduduk yang sesuai sekali untuk menjadi pelopor di masyarakat. Mereka punya semangat membara untuk jadi agen perubahan dan punya kemampuan teknologi informasi yang relatif tinggi. Kita harus wadahi itu”

Dalam kegiatan tersebut peserta juga mendapatkan workshop tentang pembuatan film. Ray Nayoan, sineas muda Indonesia yang beberapa kali memproduksi film tentang perubahan iklim menyatakan bahwa perubahan iklim itu isu yang kompleks, sangat menantang untuk disampaikan melalui film. Ray yang menjadi salah satu trainer dalam camp tersebut menambahkan, “namun jika berhasil mengemas dengan baik, hasilnya adalah masyarakat jadi lebih mudah mencerna dan harapannya mereka mau mengubah gaya hidup menjadi lebih rendah karbon.” (YLCCC/BS)

Youth Leadership Camp for Climate Change 2017

The Youth Camp for Fostering Leadership in Addressing Climate Change is a joint cooperation between UNITAR and UNESCO Office Jakarta within the second phase of the UN CC:Learn Project to Strengthen Human Resources, Learning and Skills Development to Address Climate Change. In this project, the main activities are 3-day youth camp aimed at raising climate change awareness among Indonesian youth, who will be playing major roles in the shift towards sustainable lifestyles and in disseminating the importance of climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The specific objectives of the activities: 1) to equip university students with knowledge about climate change in agriculture & energy, marine & fisheries, and forestry sectors, 2) to equip university students with communication skills, through social media skills, about climate change in agriculture & energy, marine & fisheries, and forestry sectors, 3) to equip university students with peer education skills and strategy (community engagement), 4) to inform the public on the planning for and results of the “Youth Camp for Fostering Leadership in Addressing Climate Change” through the media, and to educate university journalists on the importance of climate change in agriculture & energy, marine & fisheries, and forestry sectors.

The camp will be carried out in 3 locations throughout Indonesia and will consist of climate change training materials, peer education skills, and social media strategy skills as well as a site visit. It will provide approximately 150 committed Indonesian youth (between the ages of 17-25) with specialized training focusing on climate change in agriculture & energy, marine & fisheries and forestry sectors and also how to communicate and engage communities with the issue.

The Youth Camp for Fostering Leadership in Addressing Climate Change project is aligned with Indonesia’s new “National Medium Term Development Plan” (2016–2019). This activity also addresses Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goal 13, Target 3: “Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning”. The whole project contributes to UNESCO Medium-Term Strategy for 2014-2021 (37 C/4) in Natural Sciences by strengthening science, technology and innovation systems and policies in Indonesia by highlighting the importance of understanding climate change impacts on sustainable development. It links with 38 C/5 Major Programme II – Natural Sciences, Main Line of Action 5 by utilizing biosphere reserves as learning places for climate change mitigation and adaptation. In view of UNFCCC COP 22, the activities will strengthen Indonesian youth awareness and build capacity on climate change issues in Indonesia.

[Fully Funded] AYVP INDONESIA 2017

The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) 2017 will be organised for the fifth time this year which it will be held on 1st until 26th August 2017 in Bandung, Indonesia replicating the thematic area of the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). This programme, developed and implemented by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia – UKM), with the support of the ASEAN Secretariat, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung Institute of Technology – ITB).

The participants will embarked on a 4 week knowledge-driven, volunteerism journey with week 1 and 4 hosted at the Institut Teknologi Bandung while week 2 and 3 engaging with local communities in implementing DRR activities in Bandung.

For 2018, ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme will be organised in Malaysia focusing on Protecting ASEAN Heritage thematic area.

WHO: 50 ASEAN Youth DRR-Leaders – nationals of ASEAN countries, aged 18-30 years old (within the year 2017), fluent in the English language, passionate about the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) issues and serving communities in need, preferably with experience and/or training in disaster management on natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, droughts, typhoon, cyclones and whatnot, and committed to implement a project that can potentially benefit his/her own community.

WHAT: On its second run with the theme on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), the ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) 2017 will be in Indonesia through a joint partnership between Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia – UKM) and Institut Teknologi Bandung (Institute of Technology Bandung – ITB), in collaboration with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), ASEAN Secretariat and Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia.

WHEN: 1-26 August 2017

For a month, 50 DRR-Leaders will be equipped with leadership competencies through workshops and hands-on activities as they work with each other and local communities to discover the ASEAN identity and the role that ASEAN youth can play in the community, with a specific focus on the DRR issues. On project sites also, they will engage the local communities on issues related to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). When they head back to their home countries, they are expected to carry out their own community projects that will contribute to the resilience of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) issues in ASEAN. Successful proposals will be awarded seed grants with a maximum value of USD2,000.00.

WHERE: Bandung, Indonesia

*The first and last weeks will be spent at Institut Teknologi Bandung (Institute of Technology Bandung – ITB). The second and third weeks will be spent on two project sites in Bandung, Indonesia. The four weeks accommodation will be at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (Institute of Technology Bandung – ITB).

Call for Application Global Undergraduate Exchange program 2017 (Global UGRAD)

The Global UGRAD Program provides scholarships for one semester of U.S. Study in a NON-DEGREE Program. The goals of the program are to provide a diverse group of emerging student leaders, from non-elite and underrepresented groups in Indonesia and East Asia. The program is sponsored by the Office of Academic Exchange Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U. S. Department of State.

All Global UGRAD Program participants will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate course work chosen from the institution’s (U.S.) existing curriculum to allow students ample opportunity for ongoing interaction with U.S. Faculty and student peers, and for exposure to U.S. academic and classroom culture. To ensure that students succeed in their new academic environments, host institutions will offer tailored instruction on topics including academic research and writing, critical thinking, time management, note taking, and studying for and taking tests. Participants will live on campus with American peers.

Participants will be provided with opportunities to participate in twenty hours of community service. There will also be a virtual arrival orientation and in-person end-of-program workshop.

Eligibility:

Scholarships will be granted to students who currently are enrolled in S-1 degree programs only, and have completed their first semester and up to their fifth semester of undergraduate study at an Indonesian university.
Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.
Applicants must have minimum TOEFL prediction score of 500 which is less than two years old. An interview by a fluent Native English Speaker and Indonesian panelists will be conducted to confirm that the applicant would be able to achieve that score when tested. Candidates must also meet all the requirements of the institution where admission is being sought.
Preference will be given to those who have had little or NO experience in the U.S. or outside of their home countries.
Applicants are expected to get involved in community service in their home community at the time of the application. If they have not got involved in it, their application should show that they understand the importance of community work. They also have to show an inclination to volunteer while in US and upon returning home.
Applicants are required to return to Indonesia after the completion of the program.
Applicants are over 18 years of age.

YSEALI Call for Young NGO Leader to join YSEALI Regional Workshop : Go NGO in Cebu, Philippines this November 2016.

This is an opportunity for young NGO leaders to advance their professional skills and competencies with the aim to grow, scale, and take the organizations they work for, or those they founded, to new heights.

From developing baseline metrics to creatively pursuing financial and in-kind resources to assertively applying social media to advance mission, this workshop will bring together individuals from across ASEAN to learn and collaborate on ways to build capacity, message, and impact.

Combining training, lectures, simulations, and site visits to NGOs in Cebu, Philippines, this workshop will provide a comprehensive professional overview of what’s necessary to make a difference in ASEAN’s NGO sector in the 2020s. The experience will include pre-workshop virtual exercises, a four-day workshop in Cebu, Philippines, and post-workshop professional development activities that help to grow this rising corps of NGO leaders.

WFUNA calls for nominations for young people from the WFUNA Youth Network to be WFUNA Young Leaders of the Year. With this initiative, WFUNA want to highlight the contributions of thousands of young people to our organization and share their achievements with a wider audience. the WFUNA Secretary-General and WFUNA Youth Advisory Council will select three young leaders to be interviewed, the chosen one will be selected as the WFUNA Young Leader of the Year.

Eligibility :

Job Description :

If you are selected to be WFUNA Young Leader of The Year, you will :
Support WFUNA's work in the UN Working Group on Youth & Peacebuilding
Participate in WFUNA’s awareness raising campaigns and advocacy efforts
Possibility of engaging in panel discussions, workshops, training sessions facilitated by WFUNA on the implementation of Goal 16
Free participation in WFUNA’s programs, such as the Human Rights Youth Training in Geneva, WIMUN 2017, etc.

Youth Time Global Forum 2016 is inviting young people who are currently working as journalist in national or international media (newspaper, magazine, news agency, TV, radio or news portal) to join Youth Time Global Forum 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia on November 24-26, 2016.

Youth Time Global Forum 2016 will bring more than 150 participants from all over the world to discuss to solutions for the most prevalent issues. The topic of the annually organized event is related to the location and actuality of the matter. This year, the topic will be "The Interdependence Between Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship - Creating a sustainable environment for social development."

Young people that are looking for inspiration and people that have innovative ideas on how to tackle the issues related are invited to join this event, to come to a winning solution for change, for the benefit of a more sustainable development of the world. The participants will have chance to win Youth Time’s Idea Grant for the project proposal, get a six month paid internship, and will be offered a six-month free scholarship.

Y4U happening this 20-23 September 2016 aims to specifically:

THE CONFERENCE
The Conference is a four-day event that will feature the following activities:

Plenary Sessions. Speakers from lead government agencies and institutions will talk on specific SDGs and related issues and concerns. Discussion points are within the context of the national and local frameworks, with references from international settings.
Committee Resolutions. Delegates will take part in crafting five committee resolutions, each corresponding to one of the five main lines of work of UNESCO. These resolutions will form part of the conference report to be submitted to the National Commission for UNESCO
Breakout Sessions. A simultaneous sharing of ideas and best practices will enhance understanding of the grassroots action of various UNESCO Clubs in the country

Hingga saat ini, alumni Nutrifood Leadership Award telah tersebar dan menerjunkan diri dalam berbagai bidang di perusahaan, insititusi pemerintah, maupun non pemerintah, baik nasional maupun multinasional, menjadi entrepreneur atau social-entrepreneur, serta melanjutkan pendidikan di dalam maupun luar negeri. Persyaratan :

Mahasiswa Indonesia, minimal berada di semester 2, dengan IPK minimal 3,00

Memiliki kepribadian yang baik, kemampuan komunikasi dan semangat kolaborasi yang tinggi, serta berintegritas

Mekanisme Seleksi :

1. Seleksi Administrasi

Setiap formulir pendaftaran yang masuk akan dilihat, dinilai, serta dipertimbangkan.
Sebanyak kurang lebih 200 peserta yang dinyatakan lolos seleksi berkas akan diundang ke seleksi audisi sesuai dengan areanya masing-masing. Saat mendaftar, peserta diminta untuk memilih kota terdekat untuk mengikuti audisi apabila nanti terpilih.
Peserta yang lolos di tiap area akan dihubungi melalui e-mail dan daftar namanya ditampilkan dalam blog Nutrifood pada pertengahan bulan Agustus 2016.

2. Seleksi Audisi

Seleksi audisi akan diadakan di 4 kota dengan rincian sebagai berikut (detail tempat akan diinformasikan kepada peserta terpilih):

Setiap kota akan diikuti oleh maksimal 50 peserta. Dalam audisi ini, selain menunjukkan dirinya menanggapi isu-isu nasional maupun internasional, peserta juga akan mengikuti rangkaian permainan terkait kepemimpinan. Pasti acaranya seru dan menantang!

Dari seluruh peserta audisi di 4 kota, akan dipilih 50 semifinalis yang berhak mengikuti seleksi lanjutan di Jakarta.

3. Semifinal

Dalam tahap semifinal, peserta akan menjalani serangkaian tantangan termasuk di dalamnya interview dengan CEO dan Top Management Nutrifood.

Semifinal akan diadakan pada 12 Oktober 2016 di kantor Nutrifood Jakarta.

Setelah tahap semifinal usai, akan dipilih maksimal 12 finalis yang berhak mengikuti rangkaian karantina Nutrifood Leadership Award di Jakarta.

4. Karantina

Karantina akan diadakan pada 3-7 November 2016 di Jakarta

Di dalam program karantina Nutrifood Leadership Award 2016, finalis akan diberikan kesempatan untuk merancang dan melakukan perjalanan ke destinasi yang menarik di Indonesia untuk mengasah kepemimpinan, menjelajah warisan budaya Indonesia dan belajar hal lainnya dari daerah tersebut.

The ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF) is envisioned to be a free and empowering platform for youths to voice out their concerns and strategize for ways to achieve a better ASEAN. AYF has been working regionally to strengthening youth movement, engagement with ASEAN, and civil society.

Throughout empowerment and engagement towards a youth-driven Southeast Asia approach, AYF provided space for young leaders to discuss issues, dialogue with various stakeholders and define their destinies with respect to their issues and realities. In last five years, the AYF has been organized in Thailand (2009), Vietnam (2010), Indonesia (2011), Cambodia (2012), Brunei Darussalam (2013), Burma (2014), and Malaysia (2015). It has already involved more than 500 young leaders from the Region and beyond.

Despite challenges and differences, members of the ASEAN youth were able to achieve these milestones:

Development and initial monitoring of the Yangon Declaration (ASEAN Youth Statement 2014),
Meaningfully participated at the 2014 and 2015 Youth Interface Meeting with ASEAN Leaders (ASEAN Summits in Nay Pyi Taw and Kuala Lumpur),
Forging engagements with the Youth Division of the ASEAN Secretariat and eventually with the Senior Official’s Meeting on Youth (SOMY).

Why Cambodia?

For 2016, Cambodia will be hosting the ASEAN Youth Forum in Siem Reap because it aims to coincide with the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth which will also be held in the world renowned heritage city. It aims to increase the visibility of Southeast Asian young people at the ASEAN level and in affairs, to forge dialogues with SOMY officials to address issues related to rights and freedoms of every young person living in Southeast Asia. It responds to the call of engaging with the ASEAN bodies related to human rights (ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights and ASEAN Commission on the Protection of the Rights Women and Children) and youth (Senior Officials Meeting on Youth.) It shall be working closely with regional and national youth organizations in forging ways to work on concrete and rights-based policies on the following issues highlighted in the Yangon Declaration (ASEAN Youth Statement 2014) which included the following issues and recommendations:

· Good Governance and Democracy

· Migration

· Decent Work

· Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

· Sustainable Environment

· Inclusive Education

In this year the Cambodian national organizing committees have already formed of 16 youth organizations as coordinating committee, Media committee, Logistic committee, Fundraising and financial committee, documentation and reporting committee, Art performance and campaign committee. They will be supported and jointly organized by the ASEAN Youth Forum team members from ASEAN member states as Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, and Laos. The Cambodian national organizing committee had already established links with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, which is hosting the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY).

Let's Join World Cultural Forum 2016 in Bali, Indonesia!

The World Culture Forum (WCF) 2016 is an initiative organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia, and will be held in Bali, from 10 to 14 October 2016.

Previously, the 1st WCF was held in Bali, from 24 to 27 November 2013, organized and hosted by the Government of Indonesia under the patronage of UNESCO. The first World Culture Forum produced the Bali Promise, which was welcomed in the UN General Assembly Resolution 68/223 on 20 December 2013.

It highlighted the power of culture as the fourth dimension of sustainable development. Several working groups and high level discussions followed, yet at the release of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 Targets, relevance and place were not given to culture.

We are calling for 200 youth representatives from 50 countries to join as participants of IYF. All participants will receive full funding.

Eligibility requirements for participants is listed below.

- 18 – 26 years old
- Highly motivated and passionate at least on the theme of IYF or the sub themes
- Flexible and open-minded
- Fully available for the entire program duration
- Fluent in English (please enclose the ITP certificate preferably with minimum score of 500)
- Active in organization or attended the symposium in cultural aspect at least 3 years

Foreign Participants
- 18 – 26 years old
- Highly motivated and passionate at least on the theme of IYF or the sub themes
- Flexible and open-minded
- Fully available for the entire program duration
- Fluent in English (please enclose the IBT certificate preferably with minimum score of 80 or IELTS certificate preferably with minimum score of 6.00)
- Active in Youth organization in local level or regional level or international level in origin country - Active in organization or attended the symposium in cultural aspect at least 3 years

Facilitator
- 23 – 35 years old
- Highly motivated and passionate at least on the theme of IYF or two of the sub themes
- Flexible and open-minded
- Fully available for the entire program duration and sometime earlier for preparation
- Experienced in group leading in regional level or more
- Experienced in international team or group leading or facilitation or support in NFE approach.
