So the story goes like this…

A Riverdale high school principal was arrested and one of the students in her school happens to find the mugshot online.

In typical teen fashion, said student posts the publicly available image to his instagram account and now both the principal and the student have both made national news and sparked yet another debate about social media.

Mugshot Mania – Former Atlanta Braves Outfielder Otis Nixon Arrested On Drug Charges…

Another day… another professional sports fielder gets popped for drug charges. *sigh*

For many longtime Atlanta Braves fans, Otis Nixon is a familiar name.

Nixon, who was once a stellar outfielder, collecting over 600 stolen bases in 17 seasons from 1983-99, played several teams including the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians and Montreal Expos.

He has faced several challenges since leaving baseball and is now facing drug charges following a weekend drug arrest in Cherokee County.

Mugshot Mania – Atlanta Media Personality Elle Duncan Arrested For DUI…

Atlanta on-air personality Elle Duncan was arrested yesterday on a DUI charge (April 28, 2013).

Oddly enough, it was just a few days ago that another ATL media personality retired after being arrested for driving the wrong way and DUI last year.

Duncan, a former V-103 radio personality who made the transition from radio to television. Currently works as WXIA 11 Alive’s morning traffic reporter and also moonlights as an Atlanta Hawks sideline reporter.

Well, it appears Scrap Merlo Jones aka Darryl Richardson was avoiding being picked up by his probation officer in a public place.

In other words, Mona & ‘nem have added a lil “reality” to the docu-drama by making him wait until the premiere episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta aired (click HERE if you missed it) to turn himself in to Dekalb County authorities, which he did this morning while VH1 cameras rolled.

Mugshot Mania: Former Owner of Atlanta’s Glam Bar Salon Heads to The Clink…

Meet Sabrina Peterson, former owner of The Glam Bar Salon.

The Glam Bar Salon, which closed several months ago, gained popularity by it’s downtown location and high-profile clientele.

It’s rumored that Peterson’s ‘questionable’ business practices that became the demise of the location, with many of her patrons opting to separate themselves from the drama in the salon, which specialized in Black haircare & weaves.

After the salon closed, Peterson delved into online sales by pitching her high-priced human hair via social networks like instagram and twitter.

Sabrina, who has a very close relationship with volatile Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast member WhasserFace, is now using her social networks to gather support about an upcoming jail stint, prompting questions about her situation.

Mugshot Mania – 35 Atlanta Public School Educators Indicted in Cheating Scandal…

A total of 35 Atlanta Public Schools educators have been indicted in a cheating scandal that has been under investigation since 2009. All but three of them have surrendered and turned themselves in to Fulton County jail for booking.

Former schools superintendent Beverly Hall (pictured above) was indicted on charges of racketeering, false statements and writings, theft by taking and false swearing in a cheating scandal that has rocked the public school system of Atlanta.

A grand jury had originally recommended a $7.5 million bond for Hall, but that amount was reduced to $200,000 after negotiations with prosecutors. She is one of the few who have managed to bond out of Fulton County jail.

The married couple thought it was a great idea to spend their weekly date night at the movies. But what started as a romantic outing, ended as a trip to the clink after the pair decided to watched two movies instead of the one they paid for.
