The Mull Music Festival, held annually on the last weekend of April is a gathering of local and other Scottish musicians playing in the pubs and bars around the island. Visitors and locals enjoy a mix of traditional and contemporary Gaelic and folk music, as well as country dance bands. It is commonly known for the lively social nature of the weekend and considered a highlight of the year for most pubs. The main bars; Bellachroy in Derviag, Mishnish and MacGochan’s in Tobermory remain busy all weekend hosting a variety of bands and staying open long into the night.

Mull Highland Games

Tobermory Games Field, TobermoryAnnual traditional competitive Highland Games. Starts at 10am-4pm

From a site overlooking the Sound of Mull with views of Morvern and Ardnamurchan the games are held annually in July. Competitions range from Scottish Highland Dancing, piping, hill running, toss the caber, hammer throw and tug of war. With stalls and refreshment tents it is a popular day out for families and visitors.
