About PINKNOISE: We are: Jay - Voice, Vocoder Amyt - Guitar, Synthesizer Babascience - Bass Jiver - Beat, Electronics PINKNOISE, from Calcutta, is the late night alter – ego of Skinny Alley. The quartet was formed in 2006 to make sophisticated improvised rock and has since morphed into a search for stories in energy, language, space and consciousness. Folk music has always come from the village but now, the city has its own folk music too. We speak English when we are polite. Our exclamation marks are in the mother tongue. Dinner is Continental. Before bed; its Sanskrit prayers at night. This can happen only in India. Where the culture is ancient, the attitude is future and the state of peace is an unlikely mix of madness and endless calm. For first time, CEC has planned a unique bird camp for families. Camping at CEC only means to start your day with bird calls, sip your coffee on CEC terrace and do birdwatching. Join the bird survey on Salim Ali trail, record bird calls and learn about bird pollinating trees. Get tips on bird identification, learn to mimic bird calls, study about bird migration. Laze during the afternoons to identify birds based on their calls and get quizzed on bird names. Have a dusk walk on the Karvi trail and study about roosting behaivour in birds. Get enlightened by our evening lectures that will delivered by experts in the field. Finally end your day with a night ‘hunt’ for owls and nightjars. If this excites you, join us now.
