I really do NOT have any luck with technology, computers in particular. I haven’t been around since mid last week because hubby turned on the computer one morning and was greeted with a black screen and a white blinking dash…ARGH! How does this happen on a 2 month old computer?!

So a few days, a few parts and a technician that thankfully comes out on a weekend, the computer is fixed! Hurrah! But it also meant goodbye to all our bits and pieces that we had saved/downloaded.

THEN I couldn’t get the modem to connect. I spent countless hours on the phone to our ISP, who had no idea how to get it going. Brother in law is a computer whizz and today I took my modem to his house and he fixed it!

And here I am

Circus Joseph Ashton is a family run circus, it’s so nice to see the parents and children working together. There is a little boy who is about two and my goodness he was a cutie!! He could balance sitting crosslegged on his daddy’s head. Amazing! Owen can’t even balance on his own two feet yet!

I was a bit concerned about going for a personal loan though. My ex boyfriend ran up some bad credit in my name while we were together and often I am not eligible to apply for a loan, however, hubby reassured me that I could apply for a bad credit personal loan.

It’s safe to say, we now have a beautiful big freezer to fit all my cooking in! What a relief!

It’s only day 3 and I’m already going batty!!

HELP!

We’ve already been to the circus and I might take them to the movies, but I have no idea what else I can do with them these holidays. Winter holidays are the worst because it’s cold and raining.

Hopefully I can set up a few playdates with some of the kids in their classes!

He is so excited that it’s his birthday today, but I don’t think he can believe that he is 6 either! He keeps saying he’s not in year 1 yet, so he’s not a big boy.

We’ve got a few relatives coming over to see him and we’ll do cake. Tomorrow we’re off to the circus to celebrate. He had a big party last year, so we didn’t want to do anything to huge for him this year. Plus we bought him a Nintendo DS and they aren’t cheap either!!!

I’d better go and get organised before his visitors get here. I will do a photo post a bit later.

Oh and in case you were wondering, I did finish my cleaning before hubby got home! Lol.

I have so much to do, but it’s too much hard work if you ask me. I’d much rather be here reading other blogs and posting in my own. I have never been the housewifey type. It’s bad I know. I think it’s very rare for someone’s husband to be better at the housework than they are!!

Maybe it might be a good idea to put a list up here and cross them off as I go along. If the list is public, I’ll make sure I get it done so I don’t look so lazy! You all have permission to kick my butt if I don’t finish it today!

So on today’s agenda:

1. Clear the computer desk of it’s clutter.
2. Clear the clutter out of the TV cabinet and get rid of any junk found there.
3. Do a load of washing.
4. Clear off the dining table of all the kids things.
5. Vacuum the house.
6. Clean toilets.
7. Make chocolate fudge for Matt(thought I’d make an effort to be mumsy for him!).
8. Do another load of washing.
9. Do the dishes.
10. Air out the toy room and get the kids to tidy up their toys when they get home from school.

Seriously, I need a better system so that I’m not doing the mad rush around the day he gets home! Plus I have a clingy baby who hates the vacuum cleaner and throws around everything that I tidy up!!!

Edit @ 1.24pm: Phew! I’m getting there. Will get a few more things in before I have to get the kids from school in an hour.

I will remember to unplug the phone next time, so I don’t have people trying to find out why I am not online! Hehe.

Hubby is flying home tomorrow night. It means the beginning of ‘operation clean up before daddy gets home’. I should really be more organised, but I’m not and the house is a mess. For instance, I have photos and a whole bunch of craft stuff that I have been working on all over my computer table. I have a big pile of junk clutter on my couch from when I was trying to be good and sort out some boxes(that have been sitting unopened since we moved in here in December) and then I gave up before I got to putting away the stuff that I want to keep.

But at least I’ve finally gotten around to those boxes, I have friends who are moving in a few weeks that need them!

So really, I should get my butt off this thing and get started before I go to bed!!!

Plus, if you’re as crazy as I was and testing everyday to make sure that line was getting darker, you can save money on pregnancy tests by buying them in bulk(you can also buy ovulation tests too!).
