Better to have a task in place to sign every day the fx rates off. Or do a correction the next day. Please keep in mind that you may change PL, Risk numbers and past report numbers when changing hist fx rates as well as figures which you may have delivered to connected subsystems. Even when clients are on the same version they may be not on the same subversion or branch of Murex developments depending what Murex fixes for the clients or they do not use the same parts of Murex as you do. If you want to know if someone is using your specific version you can ask Murex or post your version number. May be someone in this group is using it as well. One suggestion is to setup-up export jobs which will dump the market data xmls everyday and write some sort of parsers around it. In our version of Murex, this is a bit fragile in the sense - we support multiple regions and we have seen weird things happening when FO dates roll. We have a process running on all of them which would look out for cores and convert them into pstack. We do not send all pstacks to Murex automatically. It is more on need basis. You will need the pstack grabber running on all machines because you'll need to be physically on that machine to get the pstack from the core. All of these pstacks are then put into a network share available from all machines on the cluster. This can give you history and is easily maintained by your Unix Ops. You can look at AC2 (Active Console 2) where most of the things you mention below can be configured. We have a request to copy the last updatime time of each price in MDCS to realtime/Reference set in database when we copy prices.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We use the processing scripts MD.EXPORT.MDCS and MD.IMPORT.MDCS to do it. Everytime we use them, all timestamps in cache and database are set to the launch time of processing script, loosing all valid values (the last update times from service rtimport_cache). When EVS sessions finish, or when the whole environment is closed shut, it is possible that some instances of the TRADEREPOSITORY are still running on your servers. This would cause problems when you will start again the task, because new TRADEREPOSITORY sessions will be started and then, the system might get confused by all these *phantom* sessions, as normally, there should only be one. When you killed launchermxrepository in ADMIN-&gt;MX_MIDDLEWARE_SERVICES-&gt;LAUNCHERMXREPOSITORY, you've killed the launcher only, not the actual trade repository processes that are doing the trade inserts. To kill the actual trade repository process, goto MONIT -&gt; SITE 1-&gt; MXTRADEREPOSITORY. Kill off all processes running there.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2. I am not able to see any trade repository process when i do ps -ef | grep "TRADE". I killed the launchermxrepository in Admin-&gt;MX_MIDDLEWARE_SERVICES-&gt;LAUNCHERMXREPOSITORY and restarted the services. it did not help me to solve the issue. I wonder why Traderepository process is not being shown when i do grep. moreover I do not have (MX Middleware Services-&gt;XML Home Server-&gt;Start Services-&gt;MXTradeRepository.Engine)� in 3.1.16 like in 2.11. We've noticed that although you stop all MX services, the trade repository services don't always die .....&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;First thing to try: /usr/ucb/ps -auxwwwwe | grep $LOGNAME | grep -i "traderepository" | egrep -v "ucb|grep" if you have a process that has a parent ID = 1, then kill it ....that should fix your problem.
