Formatisi musicalmente nel 1975 a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, la band si faceva chiamare dapprima Jeff Pollard Band, due anni dopo, ottenuto il primo contratto discografico con la Capitol cambiano il nome in Louisiana's Le Roux. Certo pop di classe vive una vita elitaria ed è fatalmente destinato a pochi, ma almeno questa ristampa coreana ha dato una pur minima dignità ad un album rimasto inedito per decenni. Era il quarto lavoro di Bishop registrato in varie riprese e  con diversi produttori (Gus Dudgeon, Dave Grusin, Lee Holdridge, Greg Mathieson, Sting e Phil Collins). La musica pop italiana ha sempre stentato ad imporsi sul mercato statunitense. Il successo di un artista o di una band in questo colossale mercato è stato sempre legato ad un caso isolato e sporadico. Questo primo progetto solista di Simmons è un ottimo belvedere che riassume uno stile reso magico da dischi come “Livin’ On A Fault Line”, “Minute By Minute” e “One Step Closer” realizzati insieme ai Doobie Brothers, di cui è stato chitarrista, autore, cantante e membro fondatore. Nati nel 1970 come gruppo di rock-progressivo, gli  Ambrosia si formarono nel 1970. Erano un quartetto composto da Joe Puerta (basso e voce), David Pack (chitarra, tastiere e voce), Cristopher North (tastiere) e Burleigh Drummond (batteria e percussioni), ma soltanto nel 1975 riuscirono ad ottenere un contratto discografico con la 20th Century e pubblicare due buoni album  d’ispirazione

Dopo il milione di copie vendute in Giappone dei suoi dischi, anche gli States si accorsero di Bobby Caldwell. Emigrato all'indomani di “Carry On” per ottenere un contratto discografico, l’artista trovò nel mercato nipponico un terreno fertilissimo. “Solid Ground” fu pubblicato prima in Giappone quindi ristampato in America per l’etichetta personale dell’artista, la Sin-Drome,  con altra

Bill LaBounty torna, nove anni dopo l’ultimo omonimo capolavoro del 1982. I Kokomo erano un supergruppo fondato nel 1973 dal bassista  Alan Spenner e  il chitarrista Neil Hubbard, due ex Grease Band, che reclutarono  musicisti di alcune band inglesi del tempo tra cui   Dyan Birch ,Tony O’Malley, Frank Collins  provenienti dagli Arrival  e  il sassofonista Mel Collins già collaboratore di studio dei King Crimson e degli Streetwalkers. Figlia d’arte, sua madre era Cissy Houston (Sweet Inspirations), cugina di Dionne Warwick e una madrina come Aretha Franklyn. Nonostante queste altolocate parentele Whitney Elizabeth Houston  però aveva enorme talento e  una voce incredibile allenata dal gospel che gli permetteva di passare dalle  ballate pop agli up-tempo funky   senza il minimo sforzo apparente. Il songwriter inglese Gary Benson ebbe il suo momento di notorietà nel 1975 quando la sua “Don't Throw It All Away”, canzone già pubblicata dagli Shadow , entrò nelle classifiche britanniche e l’anno dopo John Travolta interpretò alcuni suoi brani (Let Her In , Can't Let You Go) . Registrato agli Air Studios di Londra e i Sunset Sound Studios di Los Angeles con la produzione dello stesso

Una produzione superlusso di Arif Mardin per il secondo album di Aretha Franklyn per la Arista ed anche quello più pop della sua immensa discografia.
