I purchased this piano book for my wife, who is impressed with
Cindy Berry's clever arrangements of classical and hymn music.
As an accomplished pianist she found the music to be difficult,
not moderately difficult as stated on the cover. Unfortunately we had to return this book.

I am aware I'm not actually reviewing this product, as I would normally do...simply wanted to make a general statement to those
who might be considering making a purchase.

This is an excellent songbook to get. Contrary to the previous reviewer I believe the majority of these transcriptions are accurate. As with a lot of Jazz and Blues transcriptions you cannot document the 'feel' that Professor Longhair had. The book I have certainly includes some of his solos and some of the pieces are instrumental without lyrics.

His style is a mixture of Blues/Boogie-Woogie/Rumba/Samba all mixed up together. This is helpful for anyone young and old learning to play the piano. I bought this for my 9 year old daughter. She is learning to read music.

This is a great chart to see music notes lined up with piano keys directly below. I wish I looked for this a year ago.

I purchased these (Berklee 1 & 2; Essential Ear Training for the Contemporary Musician) for my husband, because he teaches guitar to all ages ages in the area, as a mix of a birthday present and also in the hopes that it would be one more thing to make it easier for him to teach his students with. He loves them, and says it takes a lot less time on the theory section of his lessons now so that they can concentrate on the actual music area.
