You've heard his music on national ad campaigns for companies including Holiday Inn, Doritos, and Dell Computer and the topic of music licensing is one of the many discussed. For example, his album Robot Learn Love, which features some vocals recorded through built-in laptop mics and others recorded through top-of-the-line studio preamps. It has drums simulated with software in the bedroom and backing strings played by real musicians and tracked at pro recording studios. Wally Wilson has a interesting story in that he started out in the music business as a janitor at Tree Music Publishing. That didn't last long though, when he was moved to a staff writer position. As a writer, Wally has had songs recorded by acts like Bo Diddley, Aaron Neville, Joe Cocker, Lonestar, Patti Loveless, and Joe Diffie. As a producer, he's worked with acts like Lonestar, Joan Baez, and Lorrie Morgan. As half of the Louvin Brothers, Charlie Louvin was one of the most influential musicians of the '40s and '50s. The Louvins defined close harmony duet singing for several generations of country fans. After the Louvin Brothers disbanded in 1963, Charlie began a solo career, recording for Capitol Records until 1975. During that time, he had songs make the Top Ten -- "I Don't Love You Anymore" and "See the Big Man Cry" as well as a series of other hits. In 2001, he was admitted to the Country Music Hall of Fame Charlie's current album is on Tompkins Square Records and has guest appearances by Elvis Costello, George Jones, Jeff Tweedy, Will Oldham, Tom T. Hall, members of Bright Eyes, Lambchop, Superchunk and more. This week, you can see him at Bonnaroo. We talked about all of this, his relationship with Elvis Presley, how the business has changed over the years, and more.

Ronna moved to Nashville in 1983 to assume the position of National Director of Press and Artist Development for Warner Brothers Records. It was in that position that she created media campaigns for artists like Dwight Yoakam, Take 6, k.d. lang, Bela Fleck and The Trio (Dolly Parton/Linda Ronstadt/Emmylou Harris). She also worked day-to-day maintaining tour press as well as securing television bookings for a roster that included the likes of Hank Williams, Jr. and Randy Travis. In 1992, she opened Rubin Media, a full-service public relations and artist development company. Her roster has included Keith Anderson, Jo Dee Messina, Travis Tritt, Clay Walker, Marty Stuart, Pam Tillis, Sawyer Brown, Chely Wright, Great American Country, and The Recording Academy.
