Chinese Erhu virtuoso Chen Jiebing opens another podcast rounding up the best of the month.  Inspired by the Olympics I delved deep into the Chinese section of my record collection… oh ok I downloaded Boomkat’s fine 14 track overview.
The podcast gets romantic with Richard Walters beautiful ‘True Love‘ ballad, Kylie Auldist tells her love that despite it all she’s ‘Still Into You‘ while Eye Jab ask ‘Who Still Believe’s In Love?’.  Liz Green admits her misdeeds, and the mini love theme ends with the Meanest Men Contest concluding that ‘Some People Just Get Off on Breaking Hearts‘.

Drums of Death drag Ozzy Osbourne onto the dancefloor, while Roots Manuva trys to bring the sun out in September aided by an Arctic Monkey and his dub chamber.
Its the 60th Anniversary of Windrush and Warning Heat Ray mark it with the ghostly voices of racists past, as Doc Brown serenades his beloved but flawed ‘Blighty‘.
Bjork and Anthony from the Johnsons get housed up by Modeselektor, before a couple of Blues numbers from Honkeyfinger and Amy Pennington. Amy appeareds on the excellent compilation from Manchesters Ladyfest’s festival.
