Released to mark the 10th anniversary of the demise of Francis Albert Sinatra, this is the first of what will undoubtedly be a plethora of reissues, rarities and assorted merchandising ventures. However, as with Elvis, it's hard to bemoan such blatant catalogue squeezing when the man at the centre of it is such an immense presence in modern history.

Of course, Mr Ring-A-Ding's status has been boosted over the last few years by the rediscovery of the so-called 'Rat Pack' by a younger generation. While the oleaginous croonings of Dean Martin (or the acting skills of Peter Lawford) may not withstand such endless repackaging, Sinatra always will be a safe bet. For anyone yet to taste the exquisite joys of the coolest swinger in town, Nothing But The Best does its introductory job very well. But when it comes to the title itself, we're perhaps on shaky ground.

The reason? Well by 1960 Frank, finally elevated to the star bracket that he always knew he was born to inhabit, had fallen out of love with the corporate machinery of Capitol Records; the label that made him more than the bobbysoxxers' idol. In a bold move presaging the behaviour of many 70s rock acts, he decided that he'd simply form his own label. Thus Reprise Records was born. This compilation comes from that period. And while it's all good stuff it lacks the edge of his earlier work.

However, to say the label was vanity project would be woefully inaccurate. Frank was always a consummate professional. He was also a man who loved to make records. Indeed he almost single-handedly redefined the role of the singer in the age of electricity by his peerless delivery in front of a studio microphone. Not only that but he knew his arrangers as well. Thus the compiliation is chock-full of legendary names who always gave nothing but their best. Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Quincy Jones, Gordon Jenkins and Billy Strange: these are people who were hired for their innate understanding of the level of performance that Frank wanted to achieve. So, while none of these sides approach the mastery of Frank's defining Capitol years, they still include some amazing moments. My Way, Strangers In The Night, Somethin' Stupid (with daughter, Nancy), It Was A Very Good Year, That's Life - all stand tall in the Sinatra canon. And for the completist there's even a serviceable unreleased version of Body And Soul, not to mention a DVD of his 1971 Royal Festival Hall appearance.

As stated, this makes for a warm and generous introduction to the man known as the Chairman of the Board in his later years. But anyone who already knows what makes Frank tick needs to take themselves back a decade or so, and immerse themselves in some of the 20th century's finest music.

El álbum fue grabado en Nueva York y al mismo tiempo trabajando en ello, Sandra estaba colaborando con Thomas Anders (famoso por su trabajo con Modern Talking) y Toby Gad (famoso por sus trabajos con Beyoncé Knowles, Fergie, Shakira y otros). Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley (6to February 1945-11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer, songwriter and musician. He was the singer, songwriter and guitarist for the ska, rocksteady and reggae band The Wailers (1964-1974) and Bob Marley & The Wailers (1974-1981). Marley remains the most famous and respected performer of reggae music and is credited with helping spread the music of Jamaica and the Rastafarian movement for a worldwide audience.

Marley is best known hits "I Shot the Sheriff", "No Woman, No Cry," "Could You Be Loved," "Stir It Up," "Jamming," "Redemption Song", "One Love" and The Wailers , "Three Little Birds" and the posthumous releases "Buffalo Soldier" and "Iron Lion Zion". The compilation album, Legend (1984), published three years after his death, is the best reggae album sales, 10 times platinum (diamond) in the United States and sold 20 million copies worldwide.

Bob Marley was born in the small village of Nine Mile in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica, Robert Nesta Marley. A Jamaican passport official would later change its name and medium enterprises. His father, Norval Sinclair Marley, was an English white Jamaican origin, whose family came from Essex, England. Norval was a captain in the Royal Navy and the plantation overseer, when he married Cedella Booker, an African-Jamaican 18. Norval provided financial support for his wife and child but seldom saw them, as was often traveling. In 1955, when Marley was 10 years old, his father died of a heart attack at age 60. Marley suffered racial prejudice as a youth because of his mixed racial issues facing his own racial identity throughout his life.

Although Marley has acknowledged his mixed ancestry, throughout his life and because of their beliefs, is identified as a black African. In songs like "Babylon System" and "Blackman Redemption", Marley sings about the struggles of blacks and Africans against Western oppression or "Babylon". Marley became friends with Neville "Bunny" Livingston (later known as Bunny Wailer), with whom he started playing music. He left school at the age of 14 years of making music with Joe Higgs, a local singer and devout Rastafari. It was in a jam session with Higgs and Livingston that Marley met Peter McIntosh (later known as Peter Tosh), who had similar musical ambitions. In 1962, Marley recorded his first two singles, "Do not judge" and "a cup of coffee Kong with local music producer Leslie. These songs, released on the Beverley's label under the pseudonym of Bobby Martell, attracted little attention. The songs have been re-released on the box, Songs of Freedom, a posthumous work of Bob Marley.

Neil Sedaka - The Music Of My Life 2009

Neil Sedaka (born March 13, 1939, Brooklyn, New York) is an American pop singer, pianist, and songwriter often associated with the Brill Building. His career has spanned over 50 years, during which time he has written many songs for himself and others, often working with lyricists Howard Greenfield and Phil Cody.He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in October 2006.

A concert performance on 26 October 2007 at the Lincoln Center in New York City honored the 50th anniversary of Sedaka's debut in show business. Guests included Captain and Tennille, Natalie Cole, Connie Francis, and Clay Aiken.

During his 2008 Australian tour, Sedaka premiered a new classical orchestral composition entitled "Joie de Vivre". Sedaka also toured the Philippines for his May 17, 2008 concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

In 1985, songs composed by Sedaka were adapted for the Japanese anime TV series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. These included the two opening themes "Zeta - Toki wo Koete" (originally in English as "Better Days are Coming") and "Mizu no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" (originally in English as "For Us to Decide", but the English version was never recorded), as well as the end theme "Hoshizora no Believe" (written as "Bad and Beautiful"). Due to copyright, the songs were replaced for the North American DVD.

In 1994, Sedaka provided the voice for Neil Moussaka, a parody of himself in Food Rocks, an attraction at Epcot from 1994-2006.

A musical comedy based around the songs of Sedaka, titled Breaking Up Is Hard to Do, was written in 2005 by Erik Jackson and Ben H. Winters; it is now under license to Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

Sugababes are an English all-female pop trio based in London, currently consisting of members Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen.

The group was formed in 1998 by original members Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan. After some initial success, Donaghy departed and the introduction of Heidi Range in 2001 was met with the commercial breakthrough of the group's first number-one single "Freak Like Me" and parent album Angels with Dirty Faces in 2002. The group survived a second line-up change in 2005, when Mutya Buena left and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah. In September 2009, it was announced that after eleven years in the Sugababes, Keisha Buchanan had departed the group and been replaced by Jade Ewen.

Sugababes have released twenty five singles, six of which have reached number-one in the UK and twenty have reached the top 20 in the UK, seven studio albums that have reached top 40 charts worldwide with success around Europe and Asia having number-one singles in fifteen countries. With seventeen of their twenty five single releases achieving top ten chart success in the UK, Brit Award winners, the trio have been named the UK's most successful female act of the 21st century. Upon the release of "About You Now" (2007), the Sugababes became the only female act to have topped the single, album, and download chart's simultaneously twice, having previously achieved the same feat in 2005 with "Push the Button". They have attained at least platinum certification for five of their albums in the UK.

The Sugababes are currently releasing their seventh studio album, Sweet 7, their first since signing with Jay Z's record label Roc Nation in March 2009. The album features production's from NeYo, RedOne, Stargate, Ryan Tedder, Fernando Garibay, and the Smeezingtons, with additional contribution coming from Sean Kingston.

Sweet 7 the first studio album with new member Jade Ewen will be released on 23 November 2009 in the UK. The album will not include the hit single "Get Sexy" which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart,As they dropped the song from the album after Keisha Buchanan Left the group. The song was also the last song by the Sugababes to feature any founding members before Keisha Buchanan left the group.

"Get Sexy" is the name of a 2009 single performed by English girl group Sugababes , written by Phillip Lawrence, Ari Levine, Bruno Mars and produced by American production outfit the Smeezingtons (comprised of Lawrence and Mars) for the band's seventh studio album, Sweet 7 (see 2009 in music). It features an interpolation of Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy", composed by Christopher Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass, and Robert Manzoli.

The song was the album's opening track, and was released as its lead single at the end of August 2009. It is also the last single from the group to feature Keisha Buchanan after it was announced in September 2009 that she was no longer part of the group and will not be featured on the album.

He also co-produced several songs unreleased Madonna originally recorded for other albums that are never used. In addition, he has produced 13 per Blur, and remixed a few songs on the album. She has three Grammy Awards.

My Oracle Lives Uptown is the tenth album by British electronic musician and record producer, William Orbit. It has been released digitally on 4th May 2009 on Kobalt Digital, as a 12-track limited edition. It was released as a physical CD on June 8th with 16 tracks.

Benny Golson (born January 25, 1929) is an American bebop/hard bop jazz tenor saxophonist, composer, and arranger.
While in high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Golson played with several other promising young musicians, including John Coltrane, Red Garland, Jimmy Heath, Percy Heath, Philly Joe Jones, and Red Rodney. After graduating from Howard University Golson joined Bull Moose Jackson's rhythm and blues band; Tadd Dameron, whom Golson came to consider the most important influence on his writing, was Jackson's pianist at the time.

From 1953 to 1959 Golson played with Dameron's band and then with the bands of Lionel Hampton, Johnny Hodges, Earl Bostic, Dizzy Gillespie, and Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers.

Golson was working with the Lionel Hampton band at the Apollo Theater in Harlem in 1956 when he learned that Clifford Brown, a noted and well-liked jazz trumpeter who had done a stint with him in Hampton's band, had died in a car accident. Golson was so moved by the event that he composed the threnody "I Remember Clifford", as a tribute to a fellow musician and friend.

Golson has composed several other jazz standards such as "Stable Mates", "Killer Joe", "Whisper Not", "Along Came Betty" and "Are You Real?".

From 1959 to 1962 Golson co-led the Jazztet with Art Farmer. Golson then left jazz to concentrate on studio and orchestral work for 12 years. During this time he composed music for such television shows as Ironside, Room 222, M*A*S*H, and The Six Million Dollar Man. During the mid-1970s Golson returned to jazz playing and recording. In 1983 he re-organized the Jazztet.

In 1995 Golson received the NEA Jazz Masters Award of the National Endowment for the Arts.

Golson made a cameo appearance in the 2004 movie The Terminal, related to his appearance in the A Great Day in Harlem photo. As of 2007, he tours regularly.

In October 2007 Golson received the Mellon Living Legend Legacy Award presented by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation at a ceremony at the Kennedy Center. Additionally, during the same month, he won the University of Pittsburgh International Academy of Jazz Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award at the university's 37th Annual Jazz Concert in the Carnegie Music Hall.

Ronski Speed (born as Ronny Schneider) aka Sun Decade is an Electronic Dance Producer and DJ from eastern Germany. Ronski Speed started his career as a DJ in 1997. Ronski Speed was influenced by groups and artists such as The Pet Shop Boys, Paul van Dyk, and Depeche Mode. David Gray (born 13 June 1968, Sale, Greater Manchester, England) is an English singer-songwriter. Although he released his first studio album in 1993, he did not receive worldwide attention until the release of White Ladder six years later. It was the first of three UK chart-toppers in six years for Gray, the latter two of which also made the Top 20 in the U.S.

Gray was born and raised in Altrincham, Manchester before moving with his family to Wales at the age of nine, where he grew up in the small coastal town of Solva in Pembrokeshire and went on to attend the Carmarthenshire College of Art. He later moved back to the north-west of England to attend the University of Liverpool.

His musical career received early support from a dedicated Republic of Ireland fan base where his album White Ladder was 29 times platinum.

Gray's first two albums A Century Ends and Flesh were issued in 1993 and 1994 respectively and led to Gray becoming popular in folk-rock circles, but both failed to do any serious business in terms of commercial sales.

In 1996 Gray released his third album, Sell, Sell, Sell. With his first two albums having been entirely composed of acoustic folk music, this was his first mature exhibition and saw him use his now-trademark blend of folk, alternative rock and electronics for the first time. Despite critical acclaim, the album did not chart, but the song "Late Night Radio" received some airplay on alternative UK radio stations.

Draw the Line is the eighth studio album by the English singer-songwriter David Gray, released on 14 September 2009 in Europe and 22 September in the US. The first single "Fugitive" was released on 7 September 2009.

Gray recorded the album, the first set of new songs since 2005's Life in Slow Motion, in his own studio--The Church Studios--while un-signed to a record label.The studio previously belonged to the Eurythmics, and when Gray invited Annie Lennox to guest record the duet "Full Steam," she reprimanded him for not changing the carpets. The track, described as "a broad political thing," is one of two duets on the album. The second duet, "Kathleen," features Jolie Holland. Gray revealed in an interview that the original choice for "Kathleen" was Dolly Parton, to whom he wrote a letter with a demo of the song. Parton turned down the offer as she was busy.

Draw the Line is the first studio album with his new band after Gray parted with long-time collaborator Craig McClune in 2007. Gray said that he felt "the creative spark was sort of diminishing between the people who were involved."The album includes eleven new songs, with a new band to back him up: Neill MacColl on guitars, Robbie Malone on bass, and Keith Pryor on drums. Gray told The Irish Times that these changes were part of the thinking behind the title: "It's the end of one thing and the start of another. Because there was a chapter and it's ended and now there's a new one. But also it's like, 'don't cross this line!' It's confrontational, which is intentional. That's how I feel."

A deluxe hard-cover book edition of the album, featuring a booklet with 20 pages of illustrations and a bonus CD of tracks recorded live at The Roundhouse, was also released simultaneously. The second single from Draw the Line will be the Annie Lennox duet "Full Steam.

Nelly Kim Furtado (born December 2, 1978) is a Portuguese-Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress. She has sold over 18 million albums worldwide, and currently resides in Toronto. Furtado grew up in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Furtado came to fame in 2000 with the release of her debut album Whoa, Nelly!, which featured her breakthrough Grammy Award-winning single "I'm Like a Bird". After becoming a mother and releasing the less commercially successful Folklore (2003), she returned to prominence in 2006 with the release of Loose and its hit singles "Promiscuous", "Maneater", "All Good Things (Come to an End)" and "Say It Right".

Furtado is known for experimenting with different instruments, sounds, genres, vocal styles, and languages. This diversity has been influenced by her wide-ranging musical taste and her interest in different cultures.

The first musicians Furtado interacted with were underground rappers and DJs. During a visit to Toronto the summer after eleventh grade, Furtado met Tallis Newkirk, member of the hip hop group Plains of Fascination. She contributed vocals to their 1996 album, Join the Ranks, on the track "Waitin' 4 the Streets". After graduating from Mount Douglas Secondary School in 1996, she moved to Toronto. The following year, she formed Nelstar, a trip hop duo with Newkirk. Ultimately, Furtado felt the trip-hop style of the duo was "too segregated" and believed it did not represent her personality or allow her to showcase her vocal ability. She left the group and planned to move back home.

Before moving, however, she performed at the 1997 Honey Jam, an "all-female urban" talent show. Her performance attracted the attention of The Philosopher Kings singer Gerald Eaton (aka Jarvis Church), who then approached her to write with him. He and fellow Kings member Brian West helped Furtado produce a demo. She left Toronto, but returned again to record more material with Eaton and West. The material recorded during these sessions led to her 1999 record deal with DreamWorks Records, where she was signed by A&R executive Beth Halper, partner of Garbage drummer and record producer Butch Vig. Furtado's first single, "Party's Just Begun (Again)", was released that year on the Brokedown Palace: Music from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

2009-present: Mi Plan

On December 31, 2008 El Diario La Prensa posted an article that Furtado is planning on recording songs in English and Spanish for her upcoming album and that it is "expected to launch on September 15, 2009.

Furtado made a guest appearance on Flo Rida's new album, R.O.O.T.S., which was released on March 31, 2009. The track is titled "Jump".[31] Furtado has also made a guest appearance on Divine Brown's Love Chronicles, co-writing and singing on the background of the song "Sunglasses".

In early March, a song called "Gotta Know" leaked in the internet and was said to be Nelly's. As response, on March 4, 2009, Furtado stated on her MySpace blog that the song is not hers and that she is recording two new albums: one in Spanish, and the other in Portuguese. According to Billboard, Nelly will release a new Spanish album on September 29. According to Nelly Furtado via the Perez Hilton blog, the Spanish album will be titled Mi Plan and the first single titled "Manos Al Aire" (in Spanish, meaning "Hands Up"). The album will have twelve new songs, all in spanish, as stated by Nelly in a message left in her official website [34] The second single "Más" was released on July 21, as it was announced on Nelly's official myspace. The third single "Mi Plan" (ft. Aléx Cuba) was released on iTunes on August 11, 2009 and "Bajo Otra Luz" (ft. Julieta Venegas and La Mala Rodriguez) is the fourth and final countdown single and is set to be released on September 1, 2009. She also invited the Mexican star Alejandro Fernandez to sing a duet song named "Sueños" ("Dreams"). The release of the album Mi Plan was moved up to September 15. The videoclip for "Manos Al Aire" premiered on July 29 on the Alex Chung Show.

Nelly Furtado will make a guest appearance on Tiësto's single "Who Wants To Be Alone" on his new album Kaleidoscope which will be released on October 6, 2009. She also made a guest appearance on Canadian singer k-os's new album Yes!, collaborating alongside Saukrates on the song "I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman," released in early July 2009.

Nelly was also invited to record "Manos Al Aire" in Simlish for the new Sims 3 expansion, World Adventures

Stefon Harris (born 1973) is an American jazz vibraphonist. In 1999, the Los Angeles Times called him "one of the most important young artists in jazz" who is "at the forefront of new New York music" and "much in demand as a star sideman" Harris has played with several jazz luminaries including Kenny Barron, Steve Turre, Kurt Elling, and Charlie Hunter, in addition to releasing several of his own critically well-regarded albums. Harris is a resident of Newark, New Jersey. A 1991 graduate of Albany High School, Harris earned his bachelor's (in 1995) and master's (in 1997) from Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He credited his teachers in High School with recognizing his "passion for music early on and offered lessons and the chance to bring home instruments to practice." He has stated that "Music education and performance in ensembles, like the Empire State Youth Orchestra, exposed me to me to other cultures and genres." He also was the captain of the high school wrestling team. Of Manhattan School of Music he has said: "The School gave me the opportunity to explore the diversity of both classical and jazz music and find the direction I wanted to go artistically."

The GRAMMY-nominated musician has been hailed as “one of the most important young artists in jazz” (Los Angeles Times), and is widely recognized by both peers and critics alike for his innovative compositions, blazing new paths on the vibraphone and marimba. On Urbanus, Stefon Harris and Blackout display a deeper group rapport as well as a more expansive sonic palette as Marc Cary complements the acoustic piano with Fender Rhodes and alto saxophonist Casey Benjamin lends his captivating vocoder work to the proceeding. Harris’ brilliance at broadening textures and colors comes to play with his sensational woodwind and string arrangements on a few of the compositions as well.

“One of the biggest indicators of our growth as a band is the level of contribution from all the members of the ensemble,” Harris enthuses. “The music not only incorporates all of our writing but everyone’s cultural backgrounds as well.”

To illustrate this point, he points to the disc’s opening track, “Gone,” which bounces to the pulsating polyrhythm of go-go, a sound indicative to Washington, D.C.’s urban landscape. Both bassist Ben Williams and Cary hail from Washington, D.C. It doesn’t hurt also that Harris is a big go-go fan. “How can you not like go-go? It’s so funky,” Harris says. Blackout is rounded out by longtime Harris drummer, Terreon Gully.

The delicate “For You” provides the perfect example of how Blackout balances the worlds of the acoustic with the electric co-written by Benjamin and Sameer Gupta. Before Harris recorded it, “For You” was a favorite on Benjamin’s Myspace page and has since undergone several incarnations. Harris first heard the tune when the band was rehearsing in San Francisco. Cary had just recorded the song for another date and shared it with the band. “We checked it out then decided to play the tune,” Harris recalls. “That evening we went over it and actually played “For You” in the concert. It was a perfect vehicle for the chemistry in our band. Casey later added a bridge and we continued to expand on the composition.”

The album also includes a fantastic makeover of Stevie Wonder’s early-’70s song “They Won’t Go (When I Go)” from Wonder’s 1974 LP, Fullfillingness’ First Finale. Urbanus closes with the spellbinding ballad “Langston’s Lullaby,” which is dedicated to Harris’ newborn infant, Langston.

Recorded just a few days before the historic presidential inauguration of Barack Obama, Urbanus sparkles with optimism, ingenuity and emotional immediacy. “How could it not?” Harris says when asked if the anticipating for the inauguration had an impact on the sessions. “Being in the studio, knowing that we were getting ready for the inauguration of the first African-American president – how could that not change my life? I was extremely inspired and that created a great feeling of audacity and some fantastic energy.”

Armin van Buuren (born 25 December 1976) is a Dutch trance producer and DJ. He was born in Leiden, Netherlands, but grew up in Koudekerk aan den Rijn. In 2007 and 2008, he was voted number one DJ in DJ Mag's annual Top 100 vote.Van Buuren currently hosts a weekly radio show called "A State of Trance" (ASOT) which is the most listened to radio show in the world with over 30 million weekly listeners in more than 40 countries.

Armin van Buuren was born in Leiden, the Netherlands on December 25, 1976. He finished high school in 1995, and left for college to study law. While studying law, Van Buuren's love for making music blossomed, and he began working as a DJ in a local club called Nexus. As his musical career began to take off, he temporarily put his law degree on hold, however, he did complete his law degree in 2004 via Oxford University. Meanwhile, he moved his studio equipment from his bedroom to a 'real' studio. The first tracks he produced in his new studio were, among others, tracks like 'Touch Me' and 'Communication'. Armin van Buuren has been quoted as saying, "Don't be a prisoner of your own style." He has described his musical style as "liberating, euphoric, uplifting, melodic and energetic."

In October 2002, Van Buuren was voted Number 5 in the DJ Magazine 100 top DJ's. The following year, he jumped up to the #3 spot, and held 3rd place for the next 3 years. His work left him at the #2 spot, just below Paul van Dyk in the 2006 polls, and, in 2007, Armin reached #1, heading the 2007 DJ Mag Top 100. He was voted #1 again in 2008.

He hosts a weekly radio show A State of Trance, which mostly consist of trance and other genres. The show completed its 400th episode in April 2009 and was commemorated it with a 72 hour set culminating in a set of his own new music.

He has recently collaborated with his brother Eller, a guitarist, during live performances as well as for album releases.

A State Of Trance (often abbreviated as ASOT) is the title of a weekly radio show hosted by popular trance DJ Armin van Buuren. First airing in March 2001 on ID&T Radio (the predecessor of Slam!FM), the show takes the format of a two hour mix in which he plays new trance music, both promotional and commercially released. Selected tracks are announced during the show in order to help promote new artists and releases. The Prodigy are an English electronic music group formed by Liam Howlett in 1990 in Braintree, Essex, England. Along with Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method, as well as other acts they are pioneers of the big beat electronic dance genre which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s and 2000s, and are known for high-quality live performances. They have sold over 17 million records worldwide which is unequalled in dance music history.

Their music consists of various styles ranging from rave, hardcore, industrial and breakbeat in the early 1990s to electronic rock with punk vocal elements in later times. The current band members include Liam Howlett (composer/keyboards), Keith Flint (dancer/vocalist) and Maxim Reality (MC/vocalist). Leeroy Thornhill (dancer/very occasional live keyboards) was a member of the band from 1990 to 2000, as was a female dancer/vocalist called Sharky who left the band during their early period. The Prodigy first emerged on the underground rave scene in the early 1990s, and have since then achieved immense popularity and worldwide renown. Some of their most popular songs include "Charly", "Out of Space", "No Good (Start the Dance)", "Voodoo People", "Firestarter", "Breathe", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Omen" & "Warrior's Dance."

The name displayed on album covers changed from "The Prodigy" to "Prodigy" between Music for the Jilted Generation and The Fat of the Land in 1997 and back again with the release of Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned in 2004. However, Howlett has stated that the title has always been "The Prodigy". The change was made only to fit within the displayed logo, according to Howlett.

"Take Me to the Hospital" will be the twenty-first single released by the British electronic band The Prodigy. To be released on 31 August 2009, the CD Single includes the Sub Focus Remix and the 12" Single also includes a Rusko Remix. Liam also collaborated with Josh Homme to create the "Wreckage" mix of the song[2]. It will be the third commercial single from their fith studio album Invaders Must Die, after "Omen" and "Warrior's Dance" and the free "promo" single "Invaders Must Die".

The song shares its name with the band's record label.

The track features samples from 'Salami Fever' by Pepe Deluxé and 'Ragamuffin Duo Take Charge' by Asher D & Daddy Freddy.

The music video became available to view exclusively on the VidZone application for PlayStation 3 on August 4th. The video was also posted on the official website and Youtube channel on August 5th. It was filmed onto VHS rather than digital recording equipment to obtain an old school 90's look.

David Guetta's career started at the age of 17 playing hip-hop and house music in the nightclubs of Paris. Originally influenced by the hip-hop DJs he heared on France's Radio 7 station, he began DJ'ing at Broad, a gay club in Paris. From 1988 to 1990, Guetta was a DJ playing house music on Paris's Radio Nova.[5][citation needed] In 1990, he released his first single, "Nation Rap", a hip-hop collaboration with French rapper Sidney Duteil.

In the early 1990s, he played in clubs such as Le Central in Champs Elysées and the Rex Club. It was released onto the official iTunes store on 21 August 2009 and will be released on CD format on 24 August 2009 throughout Europe and 25 August 2009 in the United States. Whitney Elizabeth Houston (born August 9, 1963) is an American recording artist, actress, and former fashion model. Lumen is a Russian rock band from Ufa. They combine punk rock with traditional Russian rock. The band considers February 12, 1998 as their birthday. This is the date when the musicians first performed under the name "Lumen", and not as "Безымянные мучители гитар" ("The Nameless Guitar Torturers").
The band was formed on the 12th of February 1998. For ten years, step by step Lumen became the most famous Russian alternative band. In October 2007, the band won two prizes at the RAMP Awards from the main alternative music channel in Russia "A-One", they were the laureate of nominations "Best band of 2007" and "Best album of 2007". In October 2008, Lumen won the "Band of the Year" prize at the RAMP Awards. Their first radio hit - "Sid and Nancy" was released in 2002 and became a hymn for huge number of teenagers who found their own ego in Lumen's lyrics and realised that they were soul-mates. Then two of their songs "C4" and "Skolko" ("How long?") found the same destiny as "Sid and Nancy". The song "Gosudarsvo" ("The State") became the most ordered song on A-One.

DeAndre Ramone Way (born July 28, 1990), better known by his stage name Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, or simply Soulja Boy, is an American rapper and record producer. In September 2007, his single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was initially self-published on the Internet, and it became a number-one hit in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks starting in September 2007.
In November 2005, Way posted his songs on the website SoundClick. Following positive reviews on the site, he then established his own web pages on YouTube and MySpace. In March 2007, he recorded "Crank That" and released his first independent album Unsigned & Still Major: Da Album Before da Album, followed by a low-budget video filmed demonstrating the "Crank That dance". By the end of May 2007, "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" received its first airplay and Way met with Mr. Collipark to sign a deal with Interscope Records.

On August 12, 2007, the song appeared on the Emmy-award winning HBO series Entourage, and by September 1, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot RingMasters charts. Benny Benassi (born Marco Benassi on July 13, 1967) is an Italian disc jockey and producer of electro house music. He is best known for his 2002 summer club hit "Satisfaction". Benny Benassi ranks as the 12th most popular DJ in the world according to the The DJ List website and 39th most popular DJ in the official 2008 global poll of DJ Magazine. A native of Milan, DJ/producer Benny Benassi started DJing alongside cousin Alle Benassi in the late 1980s in their hometown, before moving to Larry Pignagnoli's Off Limits production studio in the mid 1990s, creating music for various acts, including Whigfield, J.K. and Ally & Jo. Benassi first hit the dance floor with his own projects in 2001 with the single "I Feel So Fine", released under the name KMC with vocals by Dhany, the track first stormed the charts in Benassi's native Italy, and soon became a number one hit in the United Kingdom.

After moving from eurohouse to electro, "Satisfaction" took Benassi's success worldwide a year later with high-profile DJs like Carl Cox, Darren Emerson, and Roger Sanchez singing its praises. This reached Number 2 in the UK Singles Chart after the Ministry of Sound record company replaced the original video (an almost still picture of the band overlayed with graphics) with a video of models using power tools. Released in 2003, the campy and quirky Hypnotica was Benassi's solo debut. At the end of 2004, he won the European Border Breakers Award for Hypnotica, which racked up the most sales for an Italian album outside of Italy. Benassi often works with vocalists Paul French and Violeta, who are collectively known as The Biz.

Benny then produced a group with cousin Alle, called Benassi Bros., a project designed to shine the spotlight on the two Biz vocalists, Paul French and Violeta and other guest singers. A year after the release of Hypnotica, Pumphonia marked their first full length release. And then in 2005, Benassi Bros. released their second album …Phobia.

Some of his singles have charted high in the United Kingdom and have been played worldwide in clubs. Remixes for OutKast, Goldfrapp, and Felix da Housecat followed. Benassi also remixes the music of his contemporaries, such as Tomcraft and Fischerspooner.

In 2005, Benny founded the record label known as Pump-Kin Music. The focus of the label is primarily new and unsigned producers. Through this venture, he hopes to give exposure to some of the lesser known DJ/production talent across the world.

In August 2007, Benassi released a remix of Public Enemy's 'Bring the Noise'. The video for the track was created by Eclectic Method featuring a montage of live footage from Public Enemy, the video was premiered on imeem.com. In February 2008 "Bring the Noise" won a Grammy for best Remix (Dance).

His latest album Rock 'n' Rave was released on June 16, 2008. The first single from the album is "I Am Not Drunk."

Benny also broadcasts a one hour long radio show titled The Benny Benassi Show on Sirius XM Radio's channel Area.

Medeski Martin and Wood - Radiolarians III

The Radiolarian Series is an album project by experimental jazz fusion trio Medeski Martin & Wood released in three installments in 2008-2009.

The project is unique among studio albums because, in a reversal of the typical recording process, the band decided to compose and then develop the songs through a series of tours before recording the music in the studio.

In early 2008 the band announced on their official website: "Medeski Martin & Wood are planning three tours, plus three albums in 2008. Each tour and subsequent album will consist of all NEW MUSIC. The plan: Write > Tour > Record > Repeat."

"The problem with us," keyboardist John Medeski explains, "is that when we record an album, by the time a record company gets it out, we’ve already been playing the music for six or eight months, and we’re ready to move on."

The three volumes of The Radiolarian Series were released as three separate albums. The band has suggested that the series may also be made available as a packaged set.

The Radiolarian Series takes its name from radiolarians (also radiolaria), amoeboid protozoa that produce intricate mineral skeletons, typically with a central capsule dividing the cell into inner and outer portions, called endoplasm and ectoplasm.

Radiolaria grow their intricately beautiful patterned skeleton around their soft core in defiance of normal biological process. This is, according to the band, "similar to Medeski Martin and Wood's latest creative cycle."

The Radiolarian Series consists of music composed and developed over the course of the band's three-part 2008 "Viva la Evolution" Tour:

* Part Two: July 11-18 (Southeast U.S.)
* Part Three: November 12-22 (Pacific Northwest (U.S. & Canada)

Let Go is the debut album by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne, released on June 4, 2002. For a year after signing a record deal with Arista, Lavigne struggled due to conflicts in musical direction. Lavigne relocated to Los Angeles, California, and recorded there her earlier materials for the album, the kind of sound of which the label was not amenable. She was paired to the production team The Matrix, who understood her vision for the album.

The album is credited as the biggest pop debut of 2002, a successful launch of Lavigne's career attributed to her management's marketing strategy. It was released to generally positive critical reviews, although Lavigne's songwriting received some negative comments. Let Go sold well in the United States, becoming the third top-selling album of 2002. It also did well in Canada, receiving a diamond certification from the Canadian Recording Industry Association, as well as reaching multi-platinum in many countries. As of June 2009, Let Go had sold over 18 million copies worldwide, becoming Lavigne's highest-selling album to date.

Robert Barisford "Bobby" Brown (born February 5, 1969) is a Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer-songwriter and dancer. After success in pop group New Edition, Brown began his solo career in 1987 and had a string of Top 10 Billboard hits, culminating in a Grammy Award. He was a pioneer of New Jack Swing music, a fusion of hip hop and R&B. His second album, Don't Be Cruel, included popular songs such as "My Prerogative." Brown is the ex-husband of R&B singer Whitney Houston and starred in the reality show Being Bobby Brown.

Bobby Brown began his music career as a member of the R&B boy band New Edition. He is the youngest member of the group since the inception. The group's hits with Brown included "Candy Girl," "Cool It Now," and "Mr. Telephone Man." Brown was voted out of New Edition in 1986 when the other four members felt that their careers would be jeopardized by Bobby's lewd on-stage antics. Throughout the All for Love tour, he feuded with Ralph Tresvant and cut in on Tresvant's lead vocals. In 1996, Brown rejoined the group for New Edition's comeback album, Home Again. In the middle of the tour, he engaged in further on-stage antics. He extended his solo set and cut into Bell Biv Devoe's time. During an interview, he admitted that he was intoxicated during the tour. Once again, he left New Edition. In the fall of 2005, New Edition performed at BET's 25th Anniversary Special. The group performed a medley of its greatest hits, and even brought Bobby Brown on stage for a rendition of "Mr. Telephone Man." It was later announced on BET and Inside Hollywood that Bobby had rejoined the group and would be on the next group album. In January 2006, New Edition announced that the group would launch a new album and tour in 2008. Bobby also appeared at a concert in Columbia, South Carolina that New Edition had filmed for a future dvd release.

Chris Brown is the self-titled debut album by American R&B singer Chris Brown, released on November 29, 2005 in the United States on Jive Records. It was a commercial success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200. It sold sold sold over two million copies in the United States and was certified double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It went on to sell over three million copies worldwide.

The album's lead single was "Run It!", which features rapper Juelz Santana and was produced by Scott Storch. It received continuous airplay(topping the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay), and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed for five weeks. Our biggest goal besides writing the best songs we can was to give this record more energy than the last one. I used my voice in a different way on every song. Sometimes it's high and melodic, almost classical, and in some songs it's lower with power.

Sharon den Adel

We made very careful choices when we were writing these songs. We didn't use orchestra everywhere and we also cut down a bit in the layering of the arrangements so they were more efficient and had less choruses so they could work better together with the band.
