The rumor that Daz was going to be giving up the disco and getting a real government job was exciting for us gay geeks who had loved reading Greg Pak’s Alison in X-Treme X-Men, which sadly came to an end in April.

And it turns out that it is a rumor no more! As the awesome picture shows, Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo are adding Alison to the cast of Uncanny X-Men from August’s issue 10. But she won’t be joining Cyclops’s band of merry mutants – no, Ms. Blaire is working for the man as a card-carrying, gun-wielding agent of SHIELD!

Bachalo’s design of her SHIELD threads is certainly interesting and eye-catching! Didn’t Alison get the memo that her new job is with a covert organization?

We’ll look forward to seeing Dazzler and her fellow agents of SHIELD tackle derelicts [editor’s note – glug], evil muties and the like come August. But if you can’t wait, check out our Mutant A Day book club podcast (Chapters 1 to 5) where Dan, Aaron M and I take a trip back to the 80s and review some of Ali’s first Marvel appearances.

I have no idea why we haven’t RAVE[ned] about this sooner as it is five episodes in! The sort of reboot/new series Teen Titans Go on Cartoon Network is awesome, hilarious, and creatively assembled.

Developed by Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath, the two shorts per episode are completely satisfying and with all of the original voice actors Teen Titan fans are sure to love this series! Check out a clip from episode one below.

We are super excited for this weekend’s Dallas Comic Con 2013! Aaron M. and I will be there Saturday and Sunday taking photos, doing artist interviews and hopefully seeing old and new friends! If we’re lucky maybe a celeb will feel sorry for two nerdy married quazi-cubs and stop to tell us who their super hero celebrity crush is like Super Girl did!!

The end of April gives us so much to look forward to in May! Dallas Comic Con, Free Comic Book Day, Interviews and more! This episode we talk Uncanny, X-Treme and Astonishing -Men cross-overs under X-Terminating circumstances! To top that, it has been an LGBT friendly month with Marvel and DC tastefully and gracefully bringing their said characters into the spotlight!

But don’t think it’s all bubbles and roses! We have a few things to say about X-Men Days of Future Past movie and Halle Berry’s hair. Including a blast from the past interview segment with Ms. Berry herself!
