I agree you with 100% Steph. Very well written as well. I am part of a religious insurance company and when I have to get permission to get certain female contraceptives I have to call 3 different numbers and I think its ridiculous. It is no one else's business if i choose to use contraceptives.

Obama has done some positive things (pulled troops out of Afghanistan and helped to rebuild the American auto industry), but the negative things he has done are to big to ignore. He spoke out against a bill that allows for the indefinite detention of citizens (N.D.A.A) and then went on to sign it when it passed through congress. He did nothing to stop the Israeli genocide of the people of Palestine. He has most certainly NOT closed Guantanamo bay as the author claims. He denounced super-pacs and vowed to get money out of politics, yet he reaps the benefits of a super pac of his own. He has continued the United States meddling, imperialistic foreign policy in places like Libya, Iran, Yemen, Pakistan and others. He is better then Bush, but is still not except able for the American people.

That is SO true...where is any common sense any more? Jackson orchestrated the whole thing...what a little punk! True, I never cared for him. But he was a very clever manipulator and threatened to fire the doctor, as you said. I feel sorry for the doctor! It must have been a terribly difficult ordeal for him. Shame on those people who slough all the blame onto the doctor...Michael Jackson did himself in!

I'm not sure the criticism that the film doesn't have anything to say about the OWS protests isn't a little unfair, as obviously it is based upon a play written long before most of the people in Zuccati park ever heard of a 'Tobin tax' but I agree with the general thrust of the criticism; for all it's posturing the film actually has very little intelligent or interesting to say about the moral compromises of politics, in part because politics itself is fairly absent from the film. The plot twist at the end especially (SPOILER) is pretty much a Deus Ex Machina; go to third candidate, offer VP slot (which seemingly no one else had bothered to do), be in a position to oust rival campaign manager. It's simplistic and therefore banal. I remember hearing that the film compared unfavorably to Primary Colous when it first came out, and I very much agree with that assessment.

Thanks for the nice review.James Edward Dauphin here, who was privileged to portray Higgins in the show. Working with this cast and crew was fantastic, everyone worked to their greatest efforts, overcame some obstacles, myself included and it truly was magical for us involved. Thanks for the review and write up, confused a little on the 'star pupil' reference though, and YES, Alison was anc continues to shine in all she does!
