We have our regular skins game on Wednesday. The times begin at 11:00.

Friday we have a couple of times beginning at 12:20. Space is limited on Friday due to a tournament…so let me know.

Saturday there is a Team Play match at The Ranch. Our opponent is The Champions Course at The Retreat. That’s a mouth full. I have not made tee times for Saturday so if you’re not involved in the Team Play match….you’re on your own.

Reminder of our February Event scheduled to take place on Sunday February 28th. You can sign up in the Pro Shop or let me know.

This week does not look promising weather-wise.

Wednesday weather permitting the bulk of players will be at The Retreat for the Team Play practice round so there will be no Wednesday Skins. Team PLayers need t let me know by Monday if they plan to play the practice round.

Friday we have a couple of tee times at 11:40…..weather permitting.

Saturday….weather permitting the Team match is at The Retreat.

I am not making tee times for Saturday as I do not think there was much use made of those I reserved last week. So if you’re not involved in the team play match you’re on your own.

It was a great day to begin our 2010 campaign. The course was in excellent condition especially when you consider how much water it took in the last week. Thanks to the greens staff for their effort.

We had 52 players this weekend…good turnout, let’s keep that up.

Next month is an individual stroke tournament. It is scheduled for Sunday the 28th of February. If we can get the same kind of turnout we will flight the tournament by handicap. The low handicap players from the blue tee markers and the higher handicap players from the white tee markers.

Pay Attention To This Weeks Schedule:

Team play will be at Eagle Glen next Saturday for our re-match. The practice round is on Wednesday. There will not be a skins game on Wednesday as most of those regular players will be at E.G. for the practice round.

There are tee times starting at 11:30 on Friday.

The Team will be at Eagle Glen on Saturday. However I have made a couple of tee times for Saturday at 11:00 and 11:10 for those players not traveling to E.G. and want to play at The Ranch .

The event results and the 2010 points championship are attached files to this e-mail. The Men’s Club plans to pay additional places this year for the points championship. Plans are for the top 5 places to receive awards. If the budget permits we will try to go deeper into the list.

Assuming we will have firm ground to stand on….this is the final reminder to sign up for the 1st Men’s Club event of 2010.

2-man best ball on this Sunday the 24th. I will be picking up the sign up sheet on Wednesday and assigning tee times to be sent out on Thursday

If conditions are unplayable we will make every effort to get to you by e-mail as soon as possible. You can of course check with the shop. In the event we cannot play…we will reschedule. In that event we would ask you to re-confirm your participation.

Saturday is the first scheduled team play match. The first tee time is 10:00. I have added a tee time following the matches in case there are players not on this weeks team who wish to play on Sat. If I need to add tee times you need to let me know ASAP.

The format is 2-man best ball. You can pair with a member or you can invite a guest. Your partner must have a verifiable handicap.

The event date is Sunday January 24th.

After last week’s rain delay….we finally got our last event for 2009 completed. We had great weather this weekend to complete our 2009 schedule. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who came out!

Would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jeff Johnson, Richard Martin, Brandon Hillpot, Rick Wooten, Sochie and the entire staff for all the support that makes playing at The Ranch such a great experience!

Yesterday’s results also marks the completion of our Points Championship Race for 2009. In my memory there was one other race for this prestigious award that had such a close finish. However…in the end…there can only be one winner! Congratulations to champion Dave Golden for the come from behind victory over Mike Curtis our runner-up for 2009. The margin of victory was 5 points! Jeff Johnson has once again graciously contributed a new set of irons for our champion golfer of the year.

Our first event for 2010 is January 24th (Sunday) ….a two man best ball competition. You can pair with a member or invite a guest. Let’s get 2010 off to a great start with a full field of players.

Team Play competition begins on Saturday January 13th with an at home match against Eagle Glen. Those of you signed up for Team Play will receive a separate notice of a team meeting in the near future. Please plan to attend.
