ICFTW: Damnatus Movie Leaked?

Back in yesteryear a group of dedicated 40k fans decided to create a independent non profit film based on Games Workshops Warhammer 40k license. The video was of course a fan project, and up until the movie was finished, they had many trailers showing great promise. It was until a few years ago when they were ready to release the film onto the web that Games Workshop stopped them dead in their tracks and denied them of releasing the movie to the public due to the fear factor of copy written material (don’t as me why, its ridiculous as it sounds). As a fan of this project, it was sad to see this team who put thousands of dollars and years of work down the drain all in part to Games Workshop. Not too long ago, it seems the movie was leaked onto Google video, seems to be the real deal. Check out and watch the video after the break before its taken down.

Games Day 2009 - Post Show

PHEW! What a hell of a day! Well we are home and exhausted from the great as usual event known as Games Day Toronto. For those who are unaware we have done a complete live blog of the event as we try to write down anything important of the show. The event itself was great, met up with some fans of the site as well as members of other sites like the fine folks over at Chaos Dwarfs Online. Theres a lot to cover so we do suggest you read the live blog for details, in the mean time we are processing so many pictures we cant even handle it. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow is the day us Canadian gamers have been waiting for, Games Day Toronto 2009! For those who cannot make it or simply can’t (due to not being in Canada perhaps), NO FEAR! The MWU crew will be live blogging the entire event, that way you wont miss a moment but as well get first crack at new details (if any) that are shown/revealed at the show.

To keep things running smoothly (and to keep my phone bill low) the blog will be updated live via Twitter, you can either follow us which we recommend since it shows your support, or simply just stay on the Twitter page without an account and watch the updates roll in. I’ll do my best to get some snapshots of the event to update with the posts as well, but stay tuned after the show for much higher quality pics we’ve taken from the event.

Not much news to add here but on August 1st the Imperial Guard Leman Russ Demolisher and the Imperial Guard Hellhound will be released. The Hellhound box set comes with all the parts to make 1 model but you can make either a Hellhound, Banewolf or Devil Dog. Arcane Legions Preview / Q&A

A new game under development entitled Arcane Legions is a mass army collectable miniatures game that gets you into war, without hurting your wallet, not to bad I must say. Mark Chase from Wells Expeditions (a new company from the founders of WizKids) has stopped by our forums to preview off their new game Arcane Legions.

We have a on going forum thread for this game where Mark will do his best to answer everyones questions. From what we’ve seen and heard so far, it seems very promising. Be sure to stop by and read up on this new game and perhaps throw in your questions to have them answered.

In the New Stuff section you will find many accessories for y0ur aircraft. Flying bases, Multi-Lasers, Fuel Tanks, Missile Launchers, Rocket Pods, Heavy Bombs, Hunter Killer Missiles, Autocannons, Punisher Cannons, and Lascannons. But the one that caught my eye was the Valkyrie Vendetta resin conversion kit. Absolutely love how they placed the Lascannons under the wings. One conversion kit I might consider paying for.

As we inch closer to the video game mega event E3, THQ made its early announcement of the next video game based upon the Warhammer 40,000 licence: Space Marine. Being developed by Relic, the trustworthy developer behind the Dawn of War series, its good to know they have someone with extreme knowledge of the Warhammer universe backing it. With the announcement, IGN.com has an interview and also, this mind blowing trailer revealing the game. Words cannot describe how awesome this looks.
