Onboard at a private backyard track with Nick Beall

Every couple of months or so, for the last few years, one of our friends has had private ride days on his property and is cool enough to invite us out to come moto his backyard. Equipped with a two-mile long track with over 30 jumps that is built on his 150 acre ranch, Ed's place is absolute paradise. This man has an insane track, an endless supply of water that is pumped out from his own personal lake (filled with fish, rafts, and jet ski's) to over 20 different hoses spread out around the track, a huge garage stocked with many tools and various parts in case your bike breaks and you need to fix it, complete bathrooms with showers and fully functional toilets, a petting zoo with various different animals, and even a haunted house. Ed is easily one of the nicest guys we've ever met! Who goes out of their way to accommodate guests like this? On top of this, Ed doesnt even ride on his ride days... he literally spends days in advance prepping the track and is out there watering or helping out with various other things on his ride days instead of actually riding himself (and yes, he rides and rides well). Out of respect for him and his property, we wont tell you where this is, as he wishes everyone keeps the buzz on his place as quiet as possible, but it's definitely in a secluded area in Southern California. We showed up on Friday, helped water the track until dark, then got up as soon as the sun came up and geared up to go moto the funnest track we've ever ridden. We cannot wait for the next ride day!

We got our buddy Nick Beall to come out to Ed's where he tossed on our GoPro Hero 3: Black Edition again and spun a couple of laps for everyone to see how incredibly ridiculous this track is. His first lap is a sight lap to see how the track changed later in the afternoon and the 2nd lap is a lap at speed. Thank you Nick, and again, thank you Ed*!!!

**If the track looks familiar to you then it is probably because this is the same track that Villopoto, Weimer, and Wilson are riding in the 2013 and 2014 Kawasaki KX250f/KX450f commercials. The whoops were a lot bigger for the commercial and tamed down for his guests.* *

The all new 2014 YZ250F and YZ450F

WHAT’S NEW on the 2014 Yamaha YZ250F:
-Shares new bodywork with YZ450F
-New DOHC four-valve, fuel injected engine with the same straight intake, rear-inclined cylinder and rear-positioned exhaust layout as the YZ450F
-Exhaust exits the rear of the cylinder and wraps around before connecting to the muffler. The new layout allows the muffler to be positioned 190mm further forward and tucked further under the rear side panel for better mass centralization
-The new Electronic Fuel Injection system is compatible with the GYTR Power Tuner, is fully adjustable, and uses a 44mm throttle body
-New aluminum Bilateral Beam frame is designed to offer excellent rigidity balance
-New front and rear suspension settings to complement the new chassis

WHAT’S NEW on the 2014 Yamaha YZ450F:
-The piston, intake, exhaust valves and ports, valve mechanism, ignition timing, and fuel injection mapping have all been revised to increase power
-New high-performance ECU designed to boost bottom-end power
-Exhaust now circles the cylinder before connecting to muffler, which is now further forward and tucked under the rear side panel for better mass centralization
-New wet-sump oil system
-New shifting mechanisms for smoother shifting
-New Bilateral Beam frame, which features a head tube that is 10mm closer to the rider. The overall dimensions are roughly the same as the 2013 YZ250F
-New larger diameter front axle and top triple clamp help to increase rigidity on the front end
-New layout for airbox and gas tank, as well as slimmer radiator design, gives the bike a slimmer feeling between the rider’s legs

Weston Peick, #46 riding for Hyper X/Fly/Pro Ride/Revolution 2 MX, is a funny dude who takes things lightly. Don't confuse Peicks easy going ways as laziness because this guy is crazy fast on his motorcycle. Peick finds joy and laughs about being a privateer ruffling the feathers on the big dogs on the track. Peik and his dad are pretty close and talk almost everyday, maybe one of the reasons he's so humble. Peick shells out insight to his life in this My 5. video:Allisports
