Kuselan makes a smooth release

With superstar RajniKant tendering an apology to the Kannada people, his film Kuselan made a smooth release on Friday in Karnataka.

Just ahead of the film release the actor made a public apology on his remarks made over the Hoggenekal issue after Kannada activists threatening to stop the release of his latest movie in Karnataka.

The actor regretted for his remarks and has said in a TV channel: "This incident has taught me a lesson. I shall never commit such a mistake ever again. Please allow the release of 'Kuselan' in Karnataka."

K.S.Chandrasekhar's capturing cinematography and Mano Murthy's melodious music deserves a mention. Though the film has a bit of drawbacks with narration, overall the film is worth an interesting watch!

Kuselan face trouble in Karnataka

Rajni starrer Kuselan which is schedued for release on Aug 1st may not see light in Karnataka.

The high budgeted film is facing trouble in State as the Kannada organisation, Karnataka Rakshana Vedika (KRV) has threatened to stop the release of the film in Karnataka.

The move is triggered following the superstar's remarks on Karnataka over the Hoggeneklal issue. The group has also asked an apology from the actor without which the film many not be screened.

Apparently if the film is not released in the State would come at a heavy price for its distributors Pyramid Saimira who has bought it for a whopping sum of Rs 1.50 crore.--MP

Gurudutt's Kamannana Makkalu is the Kannada version of the Malayalam film, Thommanum Makkalum. It was Mamootty who played the hero in the original one. In the Kannada remake, Sudeep does a fine job with a superb performance.

Other lead actors Doddanna and Rockline Venkatesh give full support to Sudeep making it a complete entertainer worth a watch.

The story line has its own weak points, however its well packed with all the masala including romance, action and comedy which is impressive.
