Rajaa has cinema in his genes, what with father Ram Mukerji having produced and directed several Bengali films and sister Rani, one of the top stars of Hindi films. Based on his own story, Bidhataar Lekha is jointly scripted by Rajaa and Kamalesh Kunti Singh with dialogue by Tapendu Ganguly. It is a relatively sophisticated production, considering that this is Rajaa’s first film. His handling of the scenes featuring Priyangshu far supersedes his heavy-handed handling of the rest of the film.
