International Women's Day 2012 | The Pride of a Woman

noreply@blogger.com (FreshelStar) — Thu, 08 Mar 2012 02:17:00 +0000

International Women's Day 2012 | The Pride of a Woman

As today is International Women's Day, MMChitChat would like to honour the spirit of womanhood and an identification of the women role in society. Also we would like to give a vote and great concern for women's right in some other countries where women are not given equal opportunities. Women are the mothers and capable of doing almost everything as men. When women are given equal chance and rights as men, I believe uncountable miracles can be happened at any times. Here I posted the woman I love and admire with other women that are successful and influential in society also with some favorite quotes .However There are many great and amazing women out there in the world which I cannot show all here but we stand up for all those amazing women and other that are still fighting for equal rights.May all women around the world are kept as precious and be precious.

May D.Aung San Su Kyi be in peace of mind as the flower blossoming and as the purest of spring water. May all the successes are ever there and may her wishes come true.

The smile that we love.

"In societies where men are truly confident of their own worth, women are not merely tolerated but valued.”

― Aung San Suu Kyi

“You should never let your fears prevent you from doing what you know is right.”

― Aung San Suu Kyi

“If you're feeling helpless, help someone. ”

― Aung San Suu Kyi

The Hero of Myanmar

I like and admire Michael Yeoh not just because I saw her starred as 'The Lady' but I like her since I was young.I even admire her more because of ' The Lady'.And it's just amazing how faith lead her to act as Aung San Su Kyi.

Michael Yeoh

JK Rowling

I am not a very big fan of Harry Potter book series but I am more into watching the movies.

It's amazing how she can write such story that became the greatest influence to the children and people around the world. This success has turned her a billionaire, but seeing her face, she seems not forget her previous struggle and being arrogant .She looks so humble and that's so charming.

Beyonce Knowls

Beyonce is such a great artist and she seems very positive and high-attitude all along her career. That's why she is very successful and can influence many people.

International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women's Day is a national holiday.
Why: Suffragettes campaigned for women's right to vote. The word 'Suffragette' is derived from the word "suffrage" meaning the right to vote. International Women's Day honours the work of the Suffragettes, celebrates women's success, and reminds of inequities still to be redressed. The first International Women's Day event was run in 1911. 2011 was the Global Centenary Year. Let's reinvent opportunity for all women.more
