Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 with plus size screen compared to netbooks with same/less capacity. Quick boot with Windows 7 Home Premium. Battery life as advertised. The screen is very clear, it also has amazing brihtness. Look and feel is expensive and refined although brushed aluminum is just painted on. 2.13GHz Core i3-330M processor is fine for regular office work and light play. Much faster, more usable and more refined than a netbook. Much lighter and thinner than a traditional computer. Overall I’m very pleased with Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and given the price drop under $1000 now.

MSI Wind12 U230 is a great laptop, a big enough screen to use in the real world, and plenty of horsepower. Small form factor good performance, big enough keyboard to actually use frequently. MSI Wind12 U230 is perfect! Runs everything I want it too plus it’s extremely tiny! It’s powerful enough for me to Unrar large files and play 720p streams. The MSI Wind12 U230 feels very snappy. The small size is a bonus. I haven’t seen any of the other issues that were mentioned above. For 400 bucks you get an Ultra Portable laptop that’s powerful enough to run all your apps. Spending hundreds of dollars more wouldn’t really give you that much more IMO. If you want to game you probably aren’t buying a laptop anyways. Overall great build quality and funct.

Dell Vostro 3000 is a new dell laptop design. The looks of the Vostro is amazing. Dell Vostro 3000 has a stylish look, yet is very durable. The 13-inche to 17-inche LCD is wide enough for anyone’s viewing pleasure and the screen’s glossy feature makes it look like your viewing a glass screen. The i3 and i5 dual core processors and i7 quad core processor are powerful enough for most applications. The 6GB RAM can do more then enough for a user. The 500GB hard drive offers plenty of space and the speed of the SATA is extremely fast. This new Dell laptop Dell Vostro 3000 is worth every penny.

MSI X-Slim X360 is light and thin laptop. It is a good cheap laptop for playing games. 8 cell battery for long battery life. I was looking for a laptop that was not very sofisticated since I need it for school. This Netbook filled my expectations and I am very satisfied. Speed, sound and graphics are fine. The MSI X-Slim X360 delivers on all fronts and is light and easy to use. Well, given that you have a backup desktop, that is if you have any super-valuable work!

Dell Precision M4500 is awesome great laptop. Back-lit keyboard is nice. It ok for gaming. The sound quality on this thing is beyond horrible. If you try to listen to music on Youtube, you’ll swear you’re hearing extra drum beats because of how badly the sound is getting mangled. The base screen quality is surprisingly bad. If you use any applications with a dark color theme, you’ll find that there’s no way to angle the screen so that the lighting is even. You’ll always have a bright blob of "I must not be in the sweet spot" backlighting, and it’s really annoying. Dell Precision M4500 works just great for portability, note taking, or whatever you want to do with it.

MSI X-Slim X360 looks very cool. MSI X-Slim X360 power by an Intel Core i5 processor, aided by Intel’s Turbo Boost/Hyper-Threading technology. Features a 13 inch HD LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, options of 3 hard drives that come in capacities of 250GB, 320GB and 500GB. other include RJ-45 LAN, 802.11 b/g/draft n WiFi, Bluetooth V2.1+EDR, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, HDMI out, two USB ports, two speakers and even mic-in and headphone-out jacks. All these components are somehow packed inside a frame measuring 324 mm (W) x 227 mm (D) x 6~22.5 mm, along with a 4/8-cell battery, which supposedly enables a life of up to an impressive nine hours. ASUS G73JH-A1 is great gaming laptop for the price. Gorgeous, smooth graphics in Star Trek Online, DDO, Champions Online and Team Fortress 2 with the sliders cranked just shy of the max. EAX sound is amazing: even sounds decent out of the built-in speakers. ASUS G73JH-A1 CPU performance and multitasking is sweet and responsive. I have multi-surfed Word, Visual Studio and Photoshop CS with no lag or issues. More ports than you can shake a stick at: plenty of USB, eSATA, FireWire (1394) and even HDMI. Bluetooth devices are easily paired. Amazing Windows 7 performance. ASUS G73JH-A1 is the most powerful laptop I have seen at this price point.
