Lenovo G530 is a decent laptop and I got it at a steal of a price during a special. It was very fast after I tweaked it out and took off the Lenovo software. Actually, it was a lot faster than I expected it to be especially for a processor with 1024 of L2 cache. Runs very cool and very responsive. Dual core and enough RAM to run Windows 7. Battery life is not great– but actually better than I expected for the price. Unless you really travel a lot– so many average users should just purchase a notebook like this every two or three years. On the whole Lenovo G530 is a great laptop.

Acer Aspire One AO532h Review

Acer Aspire One AO532h is quick. I was working in photoshop and it handled some pretty intense rendering like a full desktop replacement, especially with only 1gb or ram. The battery life is pretty fantastic and delivers on the 8+ hour promise, I tested this by going on a short road trip with my T-mobile G1 tethered for internet. It keeps cool and is almost completely silent. I purchased an older version of this exact netbook for my cousin about a month ago which influenced this purchase and Acer really made a ton of noticeable improvements. The N450 is a noticeable improvement over the N270. Acer Aspire One AO532h is a great netbook for the price. It does very well as a secondary electronic device or even a primary as long as you’re not trying to use it for massive computing purposes.

ASUS G73JH-A2 is one sleek machine! The battery life is great, it feels like it’s built to last and the performance is great for this class of machine. The speed is great. Windows 7 is great. Its very responsive and you can hit that power button and be literally working on your computer in less than 30 seconds. Its that fast. Also the graphics card apparently is working very well. Very good discrete graphics card. I don’t intend to run crysis on it, but it run Need For Speed Shift at native resolution extremely well. Games run perfectly. Buy it soon if you havn’t! The price might just get higher.

Acer E725-4520 is not perfect, but awsome for the price. The 2.2GHz cpu is barely fast enough to decode 1080p videos. However, because the single-core cpu lacks hyperthreading, the laptop sometimes stutters when bogged down by a slow thread. Lacking HT is definitely a step backward. The harddrive bay is a tight fit. Windows 7 operates much more efficiently and with far fewer headaches than Vista. Its easy to type on but they have semi large spaces between the keys that allows debris to get underneath and get stuck underneath the keys. So in summary, Acer E725-4520 laptop has everything I need on it.

Lenovo S10-3t 0651-37U is a great little box for around the house use, ebooks, music, some video, gaming etc. The Lenovo S10-3t 0651-37U touch screen is great even without the upgrade, must be the sheer novelty. Nicely sized chicklet keys, and windows syncing made it easy to share music and files between my main computer and this lenovo. Im still waiting for my 2gig Ram upgrade in the mail, so Ill hold out on my final judgement until then. The tablet setup is kinda fly, but remember it twists 180 degrees not 360!! I am very happy with my purchase. Lenovo S10-3t 0651-37U is not a monster rig that will play the latest games, it does need the benefit of 2GB RAM and Win 7 Prem and a clean install to realize it’s potential.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 Review

Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 with plus size screen compared to netbooks with same/less capacity. Quick boot with Windows 7 Home Premium. Battery life as advertised. The screen is very clear, it also has amazing brihtness. Look and feel is expensive and refined although brushed aluminum is just painted on. 2.13GHz Core i3-330M processor is fine for regular office work and light play. Much faster, more usable and more refined than a netbook. Much lighter and thinner than a traditional computer. Overall I’m very pleased with Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and given the price drop under $1000 now.
