I was on my way to my Muar for my branch visit and decided stopover at Melaka for lunch.The chicken rice lunch was so so only and after that I went for a little sight seeing around Melaka town since the traffic was ok. I search for interesting location on my GPS and finally decided to go The Eye on Malaysia - Melaka for some photo shooting.

The ticket booth looks quiet as this is a weekday afternoon.

Ya..we reach our destination 2nd week running and this time I brought my camera to take some photos of this interesting antique theme restaurant serving Malaysian cuisine such as nasi lemak, assam pedas and gulai tempoyak. This place very popular around Puchong Utama as the food is good and reasonable.

When you step in the restaurant, seem like stepping back in time and the owner spent effort decorating the place with many antiques that already lost in time. A truly remarkable place to dine and learn about the past.

The counter decorated with old magazines and all the old cigarrettes packing from the past.

These old cameras caught my eyes immediately.

The owner must be crazy about antiques with all these items on display.

We reach our destination Saba' Restaurant. Famous for its authentic middle eastern food. Don't miss this place if you at Cyberjaya.

Leeches are annelids comprising the subclass Hirudinea. There are freshwater, terrestrial, and marine leeches. Like the Oligochaeta, they share the presence of a clitellum. Like earthworms, leeches are hermaphrodites. Some, but not all leeches are hematophagous.

The European Medical Leech (Hirudo medicinalis) and some congeners as well as some other species have been used for clinical bloodletting for thousands of years, although most leeches do not feed on human blood, but instead prey on small invertebrates, which they eat whole.

Haemophagic leeches attach to their hosts and remain there until they become full, at which point they fall off to digest. A leech's body is composed of 34 segments. They all have an anterior (oral) sucker formed from the first six segments of their body, which is used to connect to a host for feeding, and also release an anesthetic to prevent the host from feeling the leech. They use a combination of mucus and suction (caused by concentric muscles in those six segments) to stay attached and secrete an anti-clotting enzyme, hirudin, into the host's blood stream.

Some species of leech will nurture their young, while providing food, transport, and protection, which is unusual behavior amongst annelids

Project Leech - Learning How to Rear a Leech

I learn about this leech farming thing from my colleague and sound very interesting and decided to test rearing this little animal. I ask my friend at Kluang to buy for me one bottle containing around 50 leeches which cost me total Rm100 @ Rm2 per leech. I bought a normal container box and filled with filter water ( leech not fond of chorin water, prefereable let the water sit in for 5 -6 days before use ). After this, I release the leeches and watch them swimming around....to be continue...

I open the box and put inside the plastic container and let the leech come out by its own.

Some of the leech still prefer in the small container probably feel safer inside.

I spend half a day at the famous Hing Leong tire shop at Jalan Kapar Klang and spend RM800 for 4 new Michelin PP2 tire size 185/55/15. Quite happy for the investment as my ride feel more comfort and quiter but maybe due to psychological factor as the need to find justification of spending Rm800....

Tugu Negara, the Malaysian National Monument
Tugu Negara, literally the "National Monument" in Malay, is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency , which lasted from 1948 until 1960. It is located in the Federal capital, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is situated near the monument.
The monument depicts a group of soldiers holding the Malaysian national flag, the Jalur Gemilang, aloft. Each of the bronze figures symbolizes leadership, suffering, unity, vigilance, strength, courage and sacrifice.
Every year on July 31, Hari Pahlawan (Heroes Day), the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Prime Minister and heads of military and the police would pay their respects to the fallen heroes by laying garlands at the monument.

The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park (Malay: Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur) is a public aviary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is a popular tourist attraction in the country, receiving an average of 200,000 visitors every year.[1] It is located adjacent to the Perdana Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur. This Bird Park houses more than 5000 birds, from more than 50 species, in an enclosed aviary.[2] Out of these 5000 birds, 90% are local birds and 10% were imported from overseas. The size of this bird park is around 7-16 hectares.

The first thing that caught my eye when I reached is the peacock spreading its wings.
