Poor Economy Shuts Out Those Needing Student Loans

College students in the U.S. are the latest victims as the global credit crisis worsens and financing from banks and other lending institutions dries up. American students who need a student loan to pay their way through college, are starting to have a tough time accessing funds. A large amount of public and private student aid lenders are beginning to quit handing out college aid, causing students hardship in finding student aid.

The list of companies who are no longer offering money is on the increase. One state agency, that has served the student community, has recently announced that it will no longer be offering money for college, leaving students at nearly 100 colleges and universities without cash for money for college.

Student loans are usually supported by some of the major banks, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Citibank, but they have stopped supporting the normally low-risk securities that financial assistance traditionally backed. Financial experts are predicting that funds will also become more expensive, as well as being harder to access.

The major source of funds is a federal government scheme in which it backs loans to means-tested students. The money for college are often used for tuition fees and then a further private loan is usually needed to cover general expenses. It is these private loans which will become more difficult to obtain. As yet, there is no evidence to suggest that lenders are failing to support their obligations to the federal loans.

The other area of concern is the growing number of families who have been caught by the mortgage crisis - many will have college-aged children. The people most affected by the disappearance of student loans will be low income earners and people with a low credit score, and families suffering with their mortgages are now included in this group. There will be a growing number of students who will be refused loans due to their parents' credit rating.

It has been estimated that about 100,000 students will not qualify for private or government loans this year due to poor credit. Add to this the decreasing number of companies providing student loans, and there will be problems for many college students.

For those who are caught between a rock and hard place with this credit crisis, a trip to your schools financial aid department is in order. They will be able to steer you in the right direction to find student aid assistance.

If you wake up and find that you've exhausted your resources, then it's important to start researching unconventional ways such as scholarships, grants or small loans. At the end of the day, a financially challenged Student may have to get an education the old fashioned way...by getting a job and paying for it yourself.

How To Write A Perfect Blog Post

Issues that the manager of a website would be faced with, from time to time, would be of how to increase traffic on his website. Any website whether it is a business site or a personal blog survives on traffic. The site could be an adult site or for users of a certain region say, Canada.

My answer is clear: you should make your website well-known and attractive. And both of these are dependent on the content of your website. In this article, I will share some tips that would help you write a perfect blog post for your site.

A perfect blog post should contain some keywords in its title. Search engines use keywords to index and retrieve the page links. Keywords in the title of the page will be weighted higher then keywords in its body. Since most users search engines to find things they want, putting keywords to the title of your blog post will bring more chance for it to be in search results and that would not have increased website traffic of your site.

Search results contain huge lists of page links, therefore if the title is not interesting the user will not open it. An attractive title would be short and simple and state clearly whether the reader is going to find in it what he is looking for or not. It should also guide the reader about its contents.

The best part of your post should be its body. It should have what the title says it has and be as interesting. If this does not happen, the reader is in for as disappointment and will seldom revisit your page or site.

One thing to keep in mind while writing a good blog post would be to break it up into at least three parts. One for the introduction one for the conclusion and the rest for the other details. The introduction could contain the context and objective of the article. The body or the details could be an elaboration of the ideas of the post. Each idea should be explained in a different paragraph.

It is advisable to keep the post short, as many people like me, would tend to be intimidated by long copy. One would wonder, if itas worth his while to read such a long piece. If the article is short, one would feel more comfortable with it and would also be likely to read it entirely.

So without taking up your time further and acting on the advice I myself have given through this article, I will keep it short. Once again, to state in short, the things to remember, while creating that perfect blog post would be, to keep it concise, have an introduction, conclusion, body of details and an interesting title, which should be true to the content of the article.

How To Make Money From Passions

In making online many people jump right in before they are properly ready. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a school teacher, a surveyor, an office worker, a lawyer there is study and exams to do , things you must learn, before becoming successful, you don't just jump right in unprepared

The same thing applies to the Internet marketing world even though there are sharks out there who'd have you believe it's a "Walk in the Park" and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

And I must admit, it is as easy as falling of a log compared to what you have to go through with in the working world clocking in and being a underling to someone who does not have your best interests in their mind, but there are still methods and rules you have to follow and down falls you must avoid to really make Internet marketing work for you.

Nearly all people will not make a brass razoo online and yet there are others who will make more in one day than most people make in a whole month. Why is this?

My answer to this begins with the age-old question which is the chicken or egg question, "what comes first the chicken or the egg"? Each argument you or I make comes back to the same old answer - I have no idea and I don't think many of us do either

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense basically means that you've researched the company and and like the products or services it provides. It is then that you translate that Passion and like into the education, excitement and work that usually accompanies Passion.

I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are really so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I'm concerned about those of you who don't have a knowledgeable understanding of working an online business successfully.

Now, I'm not trying to make everyone believe that Passion is the only thing that's needed. Because to be really successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, good business relationships and so on. Those attributes are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success greatly.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught.

Internet marketing work is generally not all that difficult or takes a lot of time but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you up and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo to search about the Internet Marketing Industry for online or offline business opportunities, PLEASE USE IT!

In doing your research you should discover a company that you like and will have confidence in. It should be founded on great principles, solid, and easily to understood with terrific products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don't find it move on, you will I'm sure find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above. It just takes a bit of time and patience

If you make comments like, well, that company sounds good and the money looks great so I guess I'll start with that business - doesn't sound like a decision based on anything like Passion. And please remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" does that, don't be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it's your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you can't first find that right company with products and services that you can be passionate about, then all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of trouble instead of bringing you a great result.

By not being Passionate about a company and it's products and services that has proven it's self in the market that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

4 Core Blueprints to Reclaim your Life

If you've done the work we've discussed in the first 3 installments of this series, you'll be standing in a place today of knowing who you are, where you're starting from, where you want to go and how you're going to get there.

Do you love the topics of sales and marketing? The majority of people would answer no. You're not alone if you would like to have clients lining up to do business with you without you ever having to 'sell' yourself or your products and if a marketing plan could become a thing of the past.

But... reality is that unless you work on increasing the level of skill you have in the areas of sales, marketing and communication, your business has no chance of reaching it's full potential and even worse, it has every chance of failure.

So how do you blueprint these areas of your business for success?

In last week's blueprint I mentioned that the top 3% of the people in the world have such a different life than the other 97% because they look at life differently and they make conscious choices. One of those conscious choices is to create a plan for building their business and it's day to day operations for growth and financial prosperity.

This may not be a sexy topic but you can create a very elegant life with the cash flow that results from this particular blueprint.

Just like with the other blueprints we've discussed, first you have to know your starting point. The next step is to evaluate how you feel about where you are and then decide where you would like to take it next.

Are you doing what needs to be done to grow your business to the level you would like in a time frame that is optimal for you?

One thing I can tell you is that this is as individualized as any of the other 3 blueprints. Don't measure your success or lack of success against what you see someone else doing in their business. That could be a fatal mistake and take you in a direction you really have no desire to go, while you follow someone else who is following their dream.

Remember that this is all about you. What you are passionate about, what you want your life to look like, the activities you choose to include in the way you create your business and the way you grow your business.

What you may not have considered in this big picture is what do you really want your business to provide for you?

I can guarantee you that it's not about an amount of money in the bank. What does that money represent to you and what do you want it to do for you? When you answer those questions you'll have a better idea of what the goal of your business really is.

In what proportion do you want to trade your time for money? The answer to that will tell you to what extent at this moment in time you either value your lifestyle more or your bank account more.

Most importantly, there is no right or wrong answer. It's your choice. There are no rules of how many hours you should or shouldn't work. It's more about looking at why you're working the hours that you do.

Once you are clear on how many hours you choose to work, what you want to spend that time doing and the results you expect to achieve, you can create a blueprint of sales, marketing and the proper communication to your target market to achieve those goals in the time frame you would like.

It goes back to the premise of all 4 of these blueprints that what you are creating is the script of what you want your life story to be from now on.

It's time for you to take 100% responsibility and take back 100% of your power. Pick up your pen and create a script for yourself that is exciting and compelling and passionate and fulfilling for you on every level.

And remember that a vital ingredient to making this work is the cash your business provides to fund the life of your dreams, so let's create the business of your dreams to go along with it.

Next, after you evaluate how you feel about where you are, take a look at what shifts you would like to make. Figure out what the end result is you are moving toward.

What do you really want your business to look like if there are no limits?

The Short Cut To Success

There's one common theme that shows up over and over in emails, blog posts, Ask campaigns and phone calls. Year after year, it's always the same. But I don't think I ever realized the extent of what you were asking for, until now. Do you know what I'm talking about?

You want a short cut, not just a process, but a short cut for the system, a short cut for the program, the Cliff notes of the book, you want the magic pill.

Poof, it's done.

Actually, now that I'm writing this I can think of a couple Internet marketing things I'd like that magic pill for myself, but I've never found one and I don't believe it really exists.

I'm not saying it's an inherently bad thing to want it boiled down to the barest of effort, to almost eliminate the learning curve. I know it's not that you're lazy. I get that you're totally and frustratingly overwhelmed. There's way too much information and too many offers and too many programs that say you can't live without this new and improved tool that will instantly transform your business.

In very few instances that may be true.

But it's not always possible. Most of the time there is some level of work on your part and a learning curve involved. How much time, money and effort will vary depending on what you're doing and also to a certain extent what level of success you choose to achieve.

You do consciously or sub-consciously choose your level of success by choosing your level of commitment and the level of education you decide to buy. Yes, I said buy, because most high level education that leads to lasting success is something you buy. From a $7 report to a $100,000 a year mentoring program. You choose.

I understand your financial ability plays a role in what you buy, but you need to understand that your financial situation will rarely shift on it's own without you taking a leap of faith and possibly putting something on a credit card, or a few credit cards. In the first 2 years I was learning this business I built up quite a library of resource that helped me grow and I was initially putting out a lot more money than I was taking in. I took a leap of faith. Without doing that I don't believe I would be where I am today.

Most people need more to be successful than just one quick fix and thats what Ive been thinking about the last few days. Ive been asking myself how can I put together all the different pieces I teach into a cohesive package that delivers exactly what you need.

So I've laid all the piece out here for you. If you think there's one you need right now grab it and run with it.

There are 4 areas that will help you build your business and also allow you to live the life of your dreams. It's a process and you need to cover all four areas to sustain the success you build.

1. Introspection: Who are you? What do you want in your life? What will make you change?

2. Out-Picturing: What is your passion? How are you going to design and create the life of your dreams? What will the business be that funds all this?

3. Sales and Communication Skills: How are you going to speak to your target market about what you've created? What kind of branding,marketing materials, sales copy, talks, presentations are you going to create to bring in new clients? What is going to be the foundation of how you speak your business in the world? How will you learn to effectively communicate with your clients?

4. Putting It All Together and Growing: Where will you get the tools, strategies,and training to continuously take your business and your life to the next level?

Here's some of your comments that have been keeping me up at night working on a way to put it all together to give you the easiest, most streamlined solution:

"Ive spent the last 2 years or so chasing the wind online (and spending a ton!) but learning all the outer ring aspects like marketing, sales copy, writing articles, etc., etc., etc.I just cant find that niche for me."

"I feel like Im tied up because once I get that piece of the puzzle I think I could move rather quickly. All 4 elements are essential even if you feel like you have one specific piece that's holding you back. The thing is, you're willing to go there at a different rate of speed and to a different depth than someone else may be. And then there are the fears-known or unknown-that have kept you where you are right now, or at least moving forward much slower than what's possible for you. Honestly, if it wasnt scary for you on some level, you would have already done it. And most often the blocks you are aware of are the symptoms, not the cause.

If youre ready to get your life on track and build a business that will have a solid foundation, then the best way to do that is to take the weekend and get it done. Your ISO 9001 Quality Management System documentation

ISO 9001 documentation structure is outlined in the ISO 10013 Standard - Guidelines for Developing Quality Manuals. This standard recommends using a three-level structure. In practice, many companies use four-level documentation model that includes records. 4-level quality management system is shown below:

Quality Manual - level 1

Procedures - level 2

Instructions - level 3

Records - level 4

Actually, the documentation structure starts from the policy. The policy defines, among others, commitments with what standard a company intends to comply with. If you choose to use this approach, your quality management system will have five levels, similar to the structure below:

Quality Policy - level 1

Quality Manual - level 2

Procedures - level 3

Instructions - level 4

Records - level 5

Document titles for your ISO 9001 QMS

As you may have noticed, the titles of the documents in the structure above are quite short. Various companies use different conventions for their document titles. For example, one of my customers titled their quality manual as "Quality Management System Quality Manual."

It is a very typical convention in the medical device manufacturing and other regulated industries to call the second-level documentation Standard Operating Procedures, known as SOPs. Unless one has a level called "Non-standard Operating Procedures," I really do not see a practical or economical reason for long titles like these. As long as the short name conveys the idea and leads us to the right place, let's use it. I will promote this optimization and reduction of waste approach throughout this publication. Let's not make things more complicated than they practically need to be.

Numbering your documents

It is not a specific requirement of the ISO 9001 or any other standard to uniquely identify a part or a document. It is perhaps a common-sense measure and a worldwide practice in any documentation system, to give a document or a component a number and a title, and to identify its revision level. As documentation titles, document numbering is an area for creativity and an opportunity for optimization.

One of my clients runs a small company of some 120 employees. Their documentation control procedure prescribed two numeration systems that dependent on the type of a document. QMS documents had numbers like XX-XXX, and production parts required part number format as XXXXXXX-XXX. One of the drawings had a number 000048-002. Folks on the floor called it "four-eight."

One can certainly use these long-long numbers, but is it practical? So far I did not meet a single company that could justify such an approach. When I audited this client, the organization had less than 250 documents. There were no indications that the company will significantly grow. Therefore, to use document number format allowing hundreds of thousands of numbers could hardly be justified. The most unreadable part numbers I had to deal with was at a mid size company with 13-digit alphanumeric part number format! Try to write those in your audit report!

I hope it is clear that only when extensive part numbers are justified, we do not have other options. If you build helicopters or satellites, you, no doubt, will need millions of parts and therefore will need long part numbers. If not, make your life easy and stay away from all those zeros. The most practical system I worked with used a three-digit format for their part numbers. 202, 203, 204, and so on. Worked just fine!

So far we explored opportunities for improvements in the area of document titles and numbers. Yet, there is another issue with part numbers. Many companies relate a document number to a document type. For example, 20-xxxx indicates a procedure, 30-xxxx indicates a drawing, POP-xxxx indicates a Production Operating Procedure, etc. My practice with a few QMS that used designation approaches showed that "no designation" systems are more practical. Several QMS that used designation I have worked with have failed. Not long ago, one of my clients mentioned that they ran out of range in their document numbering format. The QMS initially permitted for identifying suppliers through a two-digit extension within the part number. While the company grew, the number of supplier increased beyond expectations and eventually the company needed more than 99 suppliers. This resulted in the document number format not being able to support new needs.

To get around this issue, there is a simple solution - a "no designation" system. Part or document numbers in such systems are assigned sequential unique numbers. Areas of use, materials, suppliers, and other attributes are not reflected in part numbers. Moving in this direction, you can simplify your system even more. I worked with a company that did not use document No. at all. That documentation system used just document name followed by a revision number, like Process Validation Protocol AB.
