One of the most common accessories that a man or a woman can wear is eyeglasses. This can be done in light of many purposes. One of the common reasons why people use eyeglasses is because they want to have some sort of protection for their eyes. They believe that eyesight is the most important sense and thus should be taken care with outmost sense of attention. Overview

The advent of new technologies like the internet and the world wide web (www), introduces numerous opportunities of new ways of communicating and transacting business, but also numerous ways and complex challenges in making sure that this technology is properly utilized and will not harm other people.

This act, through the unsolicited help of the “love bug” virus, created by a Filipino student that infected some critical institutions in the United States, including the Department of Defense of the United states, was hastily written and enacted upon by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines in response to the pressure from the United States. This facilitates the (1)imposition of criminal charges to hackers and/or rogue programmers who ply the world wide web and inflict damage to systems worldwide, (2) protects the intellectual property rights of software developers, thus, reduces or at most, eradicates software piracy in the Philippines, and (3)provides a healthy environment in doing electronic commerce.

 Although Microsoft Corporation claim windows Operating System to be user friendly, there are still other aspects in the windows operation that should remain to be secured and it requires advance knowledge and skills in undertaking such operations. Some of it is when you are stock with your computer login form because you forgot your password and all of your important data are inside your desktop. What a big problem! Now what you’ll gonna do? Here are some good tips and remedies you should do to get in to your computer.

How to reset a forgotten windows administrative password

Step 1

Take a Windows bootable CD and insert it into your CD-ROM. Boot your computer with the Windows CD as if you were doing the Windows installation. When the CD starts working, you will be prompted to “Press any key to boot from CD”.

Step 2

Go through the steps until you will see a setup screen where it requires you to choose from one of two options: Install Windows or Repair Windows

Step 3

Press “R” to start repair of the windows. The Setup will start copying the files from CD to your PC hard drive. Wait for few minutes; the computer will then reboot itself automatically.

Step 4

The GUI (Graphical User Interface) screen of Windows Setup will be shown on the screen. You will need to go to the command prompt.
If you are using Windows 2000, wait until the setup comes to the place where it says, “Registering Components.” There you are going to pres the “Shift+ F10” key.
If you are using Windows XP, wait until you see a progress bar in the left where it says, “Installing devices.” There you are going to press the “Shift + F10” key.

Step 5

Now that you have opened the command prompt, you will need to get access to the control panel. Here is how:
If using Windows 2000, type “control.exe” in command prompt without quotes. If using Windows XP, type “nusrmgr.cpl” in command prompt without quotes.

Step 6

Now that you have access to the control panel, you can reset or set a new password using the control panel administration/password utilities. When you are complete, close the command prompt and wait until the repair is completed. Restart your computer and login with your new password.

 As the US and Russia negotiate over nuclear weapons, what does the nuclear world look like? These figures are from the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists and show the best estimates for the big five nuclear powers: the US, Russia, China, France and the UK.

We’ve also included estimates for other nuclear powers like India, Pakistan and Israel - and for the so-called rogue states like North Korea and Iran. These are just the active warheads - both Russia and the US have thousands more in storage and pending dismantling.

Hit the link on the spreadsheet for how the figures changed between 1945 and 2006. In the mid-1980s, there were over 70,000 warheads out there - each with the power of eight times that which destroyed Hiroshima at the end of the second world war. There are many less now - but do you feel any safer?

Yahoo and Microsoft have been meeting in the Silicon Valley this week and could sign a deal as early as next week, according to , a technology blog that cited unnamed people at both companies.

Yahoo and Microsoft declined to comment.

But Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz has publicly said she will join forces with Microsoft if the price is right and she is convinced her company will still have adequate access to search data.

That information about Web surfers is important to Yahoo because it still wants to track user preferences so it can figure out what kind of advertising is likely to generate revenue-generating clicks in its own marketing network.

The rivals have been discussing an alliance since 2006, but Yahoo’s previous two CEOs — Terry Semel and Jerry Yang — couldn’t come to terms with the world’s largest software maker.

If the latest round of talks are fruitful, analysts believe Yahoo will be get a lump sum of cash and billions of dollars more in guaranteed payments spread over several years while reaping annual savings of at least $500 million from not having to run its own search engine.

The potential for a deal helped drive Yahoo shares up 65 cents to close at $16.84.

Shares in Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft fell 15 cents, or 0.6 percent, to close at $24.29, while Mountain View, California based Google lost $12.35, or $2.8 percent, to $430.25.

Yahoo’s search engine currently holds a nearly 20 percent share of the U.S. search market, leaving it a distant second to Google’s 65 percent, according to comScore Inc. Microsoft’s search engine ranks third with an 8 percent share.

On yesterday, Oppenheimer analyst Jason Helfstein said he’s heartened by improved ad trends at Google. Although it’s not clear the same would be true for Yahoo, Google’s experience does give him greater confidence that Yahoo can exceed his revenue and profit estimates.
