They can serve as a reminder to yourself and they're a great way to share information with users and other developers.

You're probably already familiar with this feature and if you're like me, you've sprinkled your sheets with useful comments.
To do so, simply right-click a cell and start typing. Once you've inserted a comment, Excel displays a small red triangle in the cell's upper right corner. To view the comment, simply hover over the cell.

How to Add Comments in Microsoft Excel?
Cell comments aren't the only way to share relevant information about the contents of a cell. Did you know that you can insert a comment into a formula? Most likely, you'd use this feature to document a formula when the formula itself isn't clear. For instance, perhaps a formula is long or it references oddly-named ranges. Or, you might want to include a note about what the formula does or the type of data it should return.

To add a comment to a formula, use the following form:

Formula + N("your comment")

For instance, the following formula contains a note that explains the formula's purpose:

=($C2-$B2 + ($B2>$C2))-$D2+N("Returns the elapsed time between two time values")

In this particular formula, there's no way to tell what's going on, so the note adds valuable information to other users. Of course, users can easily see the formula's purpose by simply viewing the spreadsheet! Of more value, might be a note that shares the required data types, or even a development note that identifies the person who entered the formula, or perhaps the person who last modified the formula and why--if that information is relevant to other users in some way.

This feature begs for abuse though, so keep notes simple and relevant. The more notes you add, the less likely users are to pay attention to them.

This feature works in all versions of Excel.
<!--

Unfortunately, a quick glance at the 2007 or 2010 ribbon might leave you scratching your head. There's just nothing there for attaching a template! How to attach a template to a Word 2010 Document?

By now, you might have realized that many of the commands and features from the 2003 Tools menu are accessible via the 2007 Office button or the 2010 File tab. If so, that's probably where you'll look when the ribbon turns up nothing.

To attach a template to a file in Word 2007 and 2010, do the following:

In Word 2007, click the Office button and then click Word Options. In Word 2010, click the File tab and choose Options (under Help) in the left pane.

Choose Add-ins in the left pane.

Look for the Manage dropdown at the bottom of the resulting window. From this control, choose Templates and then click Go.

From there, the process is the same as it was in 2003. Click the Attach button, double-click the template file, and click OK.

From there, the process is the same as it was in 2003. Click the Attach button, double-click the template file, and click OK.
The commands for inserting a file into an open template file in 2007 or 2010 are also difficult to find. The path to the right command just isn't intuitive. In 2003, you choose File from the Insert menu and identify the file! In Word 2007 and 2010, you'll probably turn to the Insert tab and you're on the right track, but there's no File option. Instead, you need the Object option, as follows:

Click the Insert tab.

Choose Text From File.

Locate the file and double-click it.

While you can acquire some of this media directly through your phone, you may be having difficulty getting an MP4 video file on the device.

Fortunately the USB cable included with your Android phone, coupled with a memory card with enough free space to accommodate your MP4 file, allows you to transfer files from your computer, including MP4 files.

How to Play MP4 on Android Phone:

Insert the memory card into the memory card slot on your Android phone. The exact location of the memory card slot will vary depending upon your phone model, so consult your device's documentation if you are having difficulty installing the card.

Connect the small end of the USB cable to the port on your device, and then connect the other end to a USB port on your computer.

Slide down through the notification bar at the top of your Android phone, and then tap the USB Connected option.

Touch the Mount option to set your phone to the USB storage mode necessary to transfer files.

Click the "Start" button at the bottom left corner of your Windows 7 PC, and then select the Computer option.

Double-click the "Removable Disk" icon for your Android phone.

Open the folder containing the MP4 file you want to play on your phone, and then click the file with your mouse and drag it to the Removable Disk folder.

Tap the Turn OFF USB Storage option in the notification window on your Android phone, and then disconnect the phone from your computer.

Press the "Application" icon on your phone to expand the list of applications installed on your device.

Tap the "Gallery" icon.

Touch the Videos folder, and then tap the MP4 file you just transferred to begin playback

Some people give in to nighttime munchies because they are stresses and fatigued, while others do so because they're bored or have grown accustomed to it.

Because your metabolism slows down at night, the foods you eat are not properly digested. This may lead to problems sleeping and lethargy in the morning. Late-day eating, as well as the resulting weight gain, can be controlled by consuming sufficient nutrition throughout the day. It also helps to watch what you eat when you do give in to late-day munchies.

How to Control Late Day Eating?

Provide your body with proper nutrition throughout the daytime, so you won't feel deprived in the later hours. Eat three meals per day, and include two to three healthy snacks in between. Avoid skipping meals, because this may lead to late cravings and binges. Commit to making dinner the last meal of the day, and eat all your meals at the table. Avoid eating behind the computer or while watching television, because you are more likely to overeat due to the lack of focus on your food.

Drink herbal tea when you feel a late-day craving coming on. The warm liquid is soothing and while drinking it, your craving may go away.

Fill up on water instead of giving in to your craving. Sipping water keeps your mouth busy, hydrates your body and fills you up, so you are less likely to overeat.

Brush your teeth late in the day, during times when you are prone to eat. When your teeth and mouth are clean, you may be less tempted to dirty them up again by eating.

Monitor what you eat, if you consume food late in the day. An apple with peanut butter, low-fat yogurt, fruit, whole-grain bread, low-sodium soups, and cottage cheese are all good to eat late in the day. Chew your food thoroughly, so you can really enjoy it. Eat slowly, because it can take up to 20 minutes before your stomach signals your brain that you are full.

Distract yourself so you stop thinking about food. Read a book, talk to a friend on the phone or take a bath.

Not to worry; by following a few simple rules, you can shed the excess pounds without following a restrictive diet.

From the moment the baby weight starts to accumulate on our bodies, the scheming begins about how to drop the pounds once the little one arrives. After your baby is born and your days gradually begin to regain somewhat of a routine, it’s time to put your ideas into action. If you’re not sure exactly how to begin, here are seven proven steps for working your way back to your prepregnancy bod or better!

How to Lose Pregnacy Weight?

Breastfeed your baby. Although breastfeeding mothers are told to eat an extra 500 calories a day, breastfeeding causes most women to lose around 600 to 800 calories a day.

Take naps throughout the day. Research has shown that sleep-deprived people tend to binge more frequently and snack on high-sugar foods. Although it can be difficult for a new mom to find time to sleep, try to nap while your baby is asleep.

Take a "baby and me" exercise class. These classes combine mother and child bonding with physical activity. If these are not available to you, start your own informal class with other mothers you know.

Seize every opportunity to get in a few minutes of exercise. For example, if you are talking on the phone, pace instead of sitting. Also, taking your baby on a stroller walk allows you both to get some fresh air while you exercise.

Increase your fiber intake. Fiber takes longer to digest, allowing you to feel fuller for longer. Examples of fiber-rich foods include vegetables, nuts, beans, chickpeas, whole grains, brown rice, apples and oranges.

Eat foods with high water content, such as grapefruit, lettuce, cucumber, celery and vegetable broth. These foods fill your stomach without excess calories.

Drink lots of water. It speeds up your metabolism, provides many health benefits and curbs your hunger.

Eat slower. It takes around 20 minutes for your body to tell your brain that you're full. To extend the length of your meal, chew slower and take smaller bites.

Make sure that the surge protector power cord is plugged into the house current. Check the surge strip by plugging a small radio or fan into one of the outlets and turning it on. If it comes on the strip is good.

Observe the power strip to see if the red flip switch is turned to the "On" position. If not turn it on and push the "Power" button on front of the computer tower. If the computer comes on the problem is solved.

Next unplug the computer power cord from the surge strip and then unplug it from the back of the tower. Look at the voltage selector switch on the back of the PC tower and make sure it is set to 115V.

Plug the power cord back into the tower and the surge strip. Push the "Power" button on the front of the tower and listen to see if the supply fan comes on. If the fan does not start, the power supply may need to be replaced.

Unplug the power cord from the surge strip. There are now many ways to enjoy your favorite movies and television shows over a broadband Internet connection on your computer for a small amount of money, or even for free.

Unfortunately, watching such media in the confines of your home office does not always make for the most enjoyable experience. If you would like to escape the office, however, and enjoy your entertainment on the big screen in the living room, you can connect a PC to a HDMI TV.

How to Connect PC to HDMI TV?

Turn your computer off, and turn it around to view the rear of the unit. Find the cable that comes from the computer's monitor, and follow it to the back of the PC. The cable will be plugged into the output of the video card, which will be either a 15-pin VGA port or a 29-pin DVI port. If you are fortunate, there will be a second port directly next to it, of either the DVI or VGA variety. On the newest machines, you may even find a regular HDMI port on the card.

Choose the connection for video output. If your computer has a HDMI port, you can simply connect an HDMI cord of the correct length between the computer and the TV. Otherwise, you will need to make a few decisions. If your computer has only a single video output and it will not be used solely with the television, you may want to invest in a new video card. Purchase one with either a DVI or an HDMI output, and install it in an available slot, according the instructions included with it. If you intend to use the VGA output on a single-output or dual-output card to drive the HDMI display, then a special device will be needed to convert between the formats. The price of the converter is actually about the same price as an entry-level video card that will be easier to use with your TV. In that case, it may be a wise idea to upgrade the card in order to obtain a DVI or HDMI port. However, if your chosen output port is DVI, an inexpensive DVI to HDMI cable can convert your computer's output into the proper HDMI input for your TV.

Connect the HDMI cable from your television to your computer. Install the correct adapter or converter for your computer, if necessary. Unless your computer has HDMI output, cords will also need to be connected from the sound card output to the HDMI video cable or adapter, because HDMI carries both video and audio signals.

Boot your PC, and configure the new display by selecting "Control Panel" from the "Start" Menu. Double-click the "Display" icon and click the "Settings" tab. The manual for your HDMI TV will list the screen resolutions it supports, along with the refresh rates. Configure the resolution in the "Settings" tab, and then click the "Advanced" button to set the refresh rate. If you are using the HDMI TV as the second monitor, you will also have to configure how it is used by Windows, according to the instructions pertaining to your video card. Most cards offer a "Clone" or "Mirror" mode, where both screens display the same content. Alternately, the "Extended Desktop" mode will allow each monitor to operate independently.

Reboot your PC to apply the changes, if necessary, and prepare to relax on your couch and watch movies on the big-screen HDMI TV.

If you need to change the boot drive to something other than the main hard drive, such as when booting off of a DVD-ROM drive or flash drive.

You'll need to change the boot order in the computer's BIOS settings. You can access the BIOS settings from the computer's setup before the Windows operating system loads.

How to Select a Boot Drive?

Reboot your computer.

Press the setup key repeatedly before Windows loads. This key is different for each kind of computer but is commonly a key such as "F2," "F8," "F12" or "Del." This loads your computer's BIOS screen.

Review the navigation controls listed at the bottom or side of the screen for your computer's bios. Use your computer's arrow keys and keyboard to navigate the BIOS because the BIOS can't detect your mouse.

Navigate to the "Boot" screen of your BIOS. Though this will be located differently for each type of computer, it's commonly listed at "Boot" or "Boot Order." This page displays the list of computer drives and the order they boot up on your computer. The drive listed first will boot first.

Highlight the drive that you would like to boot first on your computer.

Use the control keys listed on your BIOS navigation to move the drive to the top of the list. These keys differ but are commonly an arrow key or the "+" key on the keyboard.

Configure the boot order for all drives, and then press the "Save and Exit" key that's listed on the BIOS screen. Your computer automatically boots using the order of drives you selected on the BIOS screen.

You can start receiving and responding to your emails from Gmail instead of the Microsoft Outlook mail client.

Gmail offers you the ability to easily import any POP3-enabled email account into Gmail's Web-based user interface. Once you have the email account import set up, then it should continue uninterrupted, allowing you to receive, read and respond to your emails, just as you once did in Outlook.
How to Setup Email from Outlook to Gmail

Log in to your Google Gmail account with your username and password.

Click the "Gear" icon at the upper right corner of the page, and select "Mail Settings."

Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab, and click the "Add POP3 Email Account" button. A pop-up box will appear on your screen.

Type your full email address in the "Email Address" text field, and click the "Next Step" button. On the next page, Gmail will automatically populate the best settings for your email provider.

Type your password for your email account in the "Password" field, and click the "Add Account" button. Gmail will now import all your emails from the other service provider. You are able to read and reply to messages at this point by going to your Gmail inbox.

Lexmark Platinum Pro905

The Lexmark Platinum Pro 905 is a fully capable all-in-one business device, but its touch screen might throw a wrench in your workflow. The Smart Solutions widgets add virtual customization to the control panel, but we wish Lexmark had retained a few hard buttons as well. As the top dog in the Lexmark printer family, the Platinum Pro 905 does the job, but the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless does it better.
You can upgrade your current Mac OS X and replace it or install a new one. The only way to grab the copy is through the Mac App Store. Before you install it on your mac you have to check your hardware and software requirement.

1. Check system requirements. Is your system even compatible with Lion? Go to the Apple menu > About the Mac to find out. You'll need:

Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, or Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon Processor

2GB of RAM (aka "Memory")

Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later (Snow Leopard), including the Mac App Store

At least 4GB of storage for Lion

2. Install software updates. Go to the Apple menu > Software Update, and download and install all the recommended software.
3. Back up your Mac. Before installing Lion, back up your system, as a new operating system can sometimes result in corruption. We recommend using Time Machine, but you can find step-by-step instructions for other options here.
4. Do a little app maintenance. As MacFixit's Topher Kessler suggests, uninstall any apps and add-ons you don't use (including apps that run in the background and apps that tweak your operating system). Then head to Roaring Apps and check to see if the applications you keep are compatible with Lion.
5. Check your hard drive's health. How is your hard drive feeling? Go to Disk Utility (searchable in Spotlight) and select your hard drive in the left sidebar. Then, at the bottom right, select "Verify Disk". If everything's OK, Disk Utility will tell you--otherwise, follow the onscreen instructions for repairing your drive.
<!--

But maybe one day we lost the password to log on to Windows 7. You can reset Windows 7 password easily and quickly.

The steps that you should follow will vary, depending on whether your computer is on a domain or a workgroup. To find out, see "To check if your computer is on a workgroup or domain" in What is the difference between a domain, a workgroup, and a homegroup?
To reset a password for a local user account (an account that provides access to the computer, but not to the domain), follow the steps below.

Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts, clicking User Accounts, and then clicking Manage User Accounts. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

On the Users tab, under Users for this computer, click the user account name, and then click Reset Password.

Sometime we forgot the password we created and we can't log in to windows.

There is a way to reset password for Windows 7/XP/Vista/NT/2000/2003/2008. Read this article and may be can help you to reset the password.

Download Windows Password unlocker. Please take note of what folder you have saved the file in. Double click windows_password_unlocker_trial.exe to install it.

Altogether you will get four files in your folder:

1. BurnCDCC.exe (a burner software)

2. Buy Now! (click to buy the software directly)

3. Help.chm (user guide to use this Windows password recovery program)

4. windows_password_unlocker.iso (ISO image file is to be burned to CD/DVD; do not try to open or extract the file, just leave it there)

Double click BurnCDCC.exe to run it.

Click "Browse" to locate the ISO file on your computer.

Select windows_password_unlocker.iso and click "Open" to continue.Return to the main window, and click "Start" button to continue.

Insert a blank CD/DVD disk in the driver, and click "OK" to confirm.

The CD/DVD will be ready in a few seconds.

Insert the newly burned CD/DVD to the locked computer and reboot the computer from CD drive

When the CD/DVD boots, you'll see Windows Password Unlocker 4.0 is initializing (see screenshot below). If so, go on with the next step. If the computer still boots from Windows, it's necessary to change BIOS boot sequence to boot it from CD/DVD

Select the user name whose password you want to reset.

Click "Reset" button to rest the previous password

Click "Yes" to confirm your action. Or, click "No" to undo your selection.

In the end, a message box will appear as below, indicating Windows Password Unlocker 4.0 has successfully removed the password.

(source:ehow)

<!--

ImageReady has specialized features such as animated GIF creation, image optimization, image slicing, rollover effects and HTML generation that bring a Flash animation to life.

You can build a layers composite banner in Photoshop, and then edit it to web readiness with ImageReady. Toggle between the two programs and fine-tune the graphics, then save it in the SWF format in ImageReady to create a banner that is viewable on the web.

How to Make a Flash Animation Banner with Photoshop?

Create a banner image in Photoshop. Open a new document and make the canvas size 400 px (pixels) by 500 px, the standard banner size.

Create new layers that reflect how you want the banner to change when the mouse rolls over it. Click "Layer">"New">"Layer", or the right arrow from the Layers palette.

View the banner effects by turning the layers on and off . Do this by clicking the eye icon next to each layer in the Layers palette.

Switch to ImageReady by clicking on the button at the bottom of the Tools palette. ImageReady will open the file with the Photoshop layers intact.

Click "Window">"Animation" to open the Animation palette. A horizontal window appears with a box for frame number one and a time display beneath it.

Click the New Frame icon at the bottom of the Animations palette. (It's to the left of the trashcan in the menu bar of the Animations palette) Choose all visible elements for the frame by clicking the eye icons in the Layers palette.

Repeat the "new frame/show layer" sequence to create all the frames for your banner. Turn on all the layers to see the various layer states in the Animation window.

Click the slice tab in the Web Content menu and designate a URL for the banner, a name for the slice, "alt" text tags for search engine optimization and other parameters.

Preview the banner by clicking the test button in the Tools palette. Save the file for web use. Click "File">"Save Optimized", and name the optimized file. ImageReady does all the work of creating the html file for a Web banner. Copy the html document and the new folder containing the images to the same location on your web server.

Macromedia help you to make creative banners with simple way, you can arrange your picture, audio and text into one flash file.

Here step by step how to make banners with macromedia:

Open a new file in Flash and choose from the template settings located in the "New Document" dialogue box. Choose the banner that meets the appropriate size for the final location of your banner. For example, a banner located at the top of a web page will have dramatically different settings and will be a long and narrow size as opposed to a side banner, which may be square in format.

Create a new Layer in your Timeline by going to "Insert" > "Timeline" > "Layer" and label the layer "Background." Layers are used to separate the various elements of a project, such as Navigation, Images or Text, and allows the programmer to control when the element appears in the project. A Keyframe is indicated by the small black circle in the rectangle underneath a number next to the Layers, called Frames. A Keyframe must be present for the content in that Layer to appear on the Stage, which represents all the Frames that the Playhead, which controls the Timeline, falls upon. For example, if the Playhead is resting on Frame 1, each Layer which contains content, represented by a Keyframe, will appear on the Stage and in the animation.

Import your images, graphics or videos created outside of Flash using the "Import to Library" setting located under "File." Follow the dialogue boxes associated with the import and then drag and drop each element from the Library onto the Stage. The Library will be the storage unit for all your external images, graphics and videos, also referred to as assets, and will also store any assets created in Flash, such as Buttons, Movies and Symbols.

Add text, objects or additional animation functions to your project using the Stage and the appropriate tools. This will vary dramatically based on your skill level and familiarity with ActionScript, the programming language that adds logic to various elements of the project and allows the user to interact with the project.

Save your file as an FLA or Flash project file. This will serve as the master file and will not be placed on the Internet. The master file will be accessed in Flash for future edits and revisions.

Create the Flash files necessary for publishing to the Internet. Go to "Publish Settings" and select "Flash (.swf)" and select "OK". Select "File" > "Publish" and Flash will create the SWF necessary to publish your banner on the Internet. (ehow)

Some people use animated banners to promote their business via web or blog. To make animated banners is easy enough, you just need some tools like photoshop or other software.

Calculate how many frames will be needed for your animation. For example, for a simple banner displaying a line of blinking text, only two frames would be necessary: one with the text on the chosen background and one with only the background.

Create each frame as a separate picture, making sure that the image size is the same for each file.

Save your files in the GIF format using the "Save" command located in the "File" menu of your program.

Create a new picture in your graphics editing program, making sure to select an identical image size to the one used for your frames.

Drag and drop your frames on top of the blank picture. Do this in the correct order, starting with the first frame of the animation and finishing with the last one.

Preview your animated banner. You can do this in GIMP by clicking on the top menu and selecting "Image" and then choosing "Filters>Animation>Animation Playback." In Adobe Photoshop, the "Save For Web and Devices" option located in the "File" menu will allow you to preview your banner.

Save your animated banner in the GIF format.

<!--

You have to design it to make people attract to get it and the read the information you have made.

Many softwares and tools to make brochure, but one of the best is Adobe Photoshop. Using Photoshop is easy enough, you just need patience and detail attention.

Instructions How to Make a Brochure Using Photoshop:

Fold a letter-size (8 1/2-by-11-inch) piece of paper into thirds. This will give you an idea of where each panel will be on your finished document. You'll need to create two Photoshop documents, one for the outside panel and one for the inside. You'll focus on the outer panel first.

Mark the panels on the folded paper, so you can unfold it and see how it will be laid out. Write "cover" on the front panel, "back" on the back and "inside front" on the inside-front panel. Do the same on the inside pages, although this is a bit easier: "Inside 1," "Inside 2" and "Inside 3."

Open a new document in Photoshop. Make it 11 inches wide and 8.5 inches tall, 300 dpi and CMYK color (ideal for printing).

Place guides at 3.6 inches, 3.85 inches, 7.15 inches and 7.4 inches. This will give you the template for a tri-fold brochure with 1/4-inch gutters.

Place your images and text on the brochure's panels, using the paper you folded and labeled as a template for where to put the cover, back and inside-front information.

Create another document with the same settings as the first. This will be the inside of the brochure. You can create a tri-panel layout for the inside, or you can simply stretch your information across the entire document.

Print out the first page of the brochure. Place it back into your printer so the back side is aligned correctly to print on the back of the page. Print the second page.
