Sa taong ito, ang dami-daming mga kalamidad, gawa ng tao o kalikasan, ang humagupit sa ating bansa – gyera sa Zamboanga, lindol sa Bohol, bagyong Yolanda sa Visayas, PDAF scam at iba pa.

Ang lahat ng ito ay nakikita ng ating mga mata, nararamdaman natin ang sakit ang hirap ng mga taong nasalanta. Aminin man natin o hindi, apektado rin tayo, nababagabag, napapaisip, napapatanong, Dyos ko, bakit laging ganito?

Minsan, ang mga delubyo ay nagbibigay din ng maraming positibo at negatibong bagay at sigurado alam na ninyo ang marami doon pero, hindi po yon ang punto ko sa muni-muning sulatin kong ito.

May kwento akong naalala. Di ko na lang po matandaan (sensya na po) kung saan o kung sino ang nagkwento.

Isang araw bago dumating ang bagyo, umikot sa kabayanan ang mga opisyales ng gobyerno at sinabihan ang mayamang ale na lumikas na. Dahil, matindi ang paniniwala ng mayamang ale, sinabi nya sa mga opisyales na di sila lilikas dahil sa paniniwala nya na sila ay maliligtas – Our God will protect and save us.

Dumating ang bagyo, tumataas na ang tubig, pinuntahan ulit ng mga opisyales ang mayamang ale at hinikayat na sumakay na sa truck para sila ay mailikas sa ligtas na lugar. At tulad ng nauna nyang sagot, Our God will protect and save us. Yong iba na lang po ang puntahan ninyo

Tumataas na ang tubig, at inabot na ang bahay ng ale. Umakyat sila sa second floor ng magarang bahay. Tuloy tuloy pa rin ang kanilang pagdarasal.

Dumating ang rescue team sakay ng isang sasakyang pang-tubig. Hinikayat muli ang mayamang ale. at muli, tulad nang mga nauna nyang sagot, our God will protect and save us. Yong iba na lang po ang puntahan ninyo.

Lumaki at tumaas ng tumaas ang tubig habang papalakas ng papalakas ang buhos ng ulan. Napilitang umakyat sa bubungan ang mayaman at relihysong ale kasama ang iba pang tao na nasa magarang bahay.

Muli, dumating ang rescue team at sinabihiang sumakay na kayo dito sa amphibian at lisanin na ninyo ang inyong lugar dahil napaka delikado na. ang mga ibang taong kasama nya ay sumunod sa panawagan ng rescue team subalit ang mayaman at reliyosong ale ay di natinag. Humingi lang sya ng ilang pirasong tinapay at isang boteng tubig at hinayaan na nyang makalikas ang kayang mga kasama. sinabi nya sa kanila na wag na syan alalahanin, may power ang prayer, my God will listen. My God will save and protect me.

Noong makaalis na ang rescue team, lalong nagngalit ang panahon. Habang ang ale ay nag-iisang nag darasal sa bubungan hawak-hawak ang rosaryo, ilang pirasong tinapay at isang boteng tubig, hindi na nakayanan ng magarang bahay ang malakas na agos ng tubig baha. Naanod ang magarang bahay. Natigok ang mayaman at reliyosong ale.

Habang naghihingalo ang ale, napansin nya na nasa harapan nya ang Dyos. May konting tampo sya na tinanong si Lord.

“God, bakit po di ninyo dininig ang aking mga dasal. Pinabayaan po ba ninyo ako?”

“Anak, hindi! Sa totoo lang, dinig na dinig ko lahat ng iyong dasal. Sinagot kita pero di mo ako pinakinggan.”

“Papaano po nangyari yon? Kung nadinig po ninyo ang aking mga dasal, di sana, ligtas ako ngayon, di naanod ng baha, buhay na buhay.”

“Anak, di ganon yon. Di ba ilang beses na kitang tinatawag para lumikas. Ilang beses kitang pinadalhan ng tulong para makalikas ka sa ligtas na lugar, pero imbis na tanggapin mo ang aking alok, nagmatigas ka at di ka nakinig.At bago pa ang rescue team at higit sa lahat, BINIGYAn kita ng UTAK para gamitin mo. Sa katunayan, tuwang tuwa ako sa yo noong ginagamit mo yon kaya biniyayaan kita ng mga kayamanan sa mundo. Pero, sa pagkakataong ito, nagulat ako sa iyo. Nawala ang UTAK na ibinigay ko sa yo.”

Hiyang-hiya ang ale. Natameme.

At ito po ang punto ng sulatin kong ito.

Tulad ng ale sa kwento, TAYONG mga PINOY ay BINIYAYAAN ng UTAK. Sa kasamaang palad, di natin ito ginagamit. Ilang beses na ba tayong naghalal ng mga walang kwentang lider kapalit ang ilang pirasong tinapay at isang boteng tubig habang hawak hawak ang rosaryo at nagdarasal, humihingi ng tulong sa Dyos?

Sa mga patindi na patinding kalamidad na humhagupit sa ating bansa, na e expose ang ugali ng mga walang kwentang lider na ibinoboto natin, ang bulok na sistemang hindi natin tinatanggihan bagkos nakikilahok pa tayo. At sa huli, marami sa atin ang nangamamatay sa gutom, sa sakit, sa kawalan ng kabuhayan, sa mga kalamidad at iba pa.

Kung ginagamit lang sana natin ang ating mga UTAK para maintindihan natin ang patindi na patinding mensahe at sagot sa ating mga dasal, SIGURO maliligtas tayo, magiging maayos ang buhay natin.

Malapit na po uli ang eleksyon. Ilang panahon na lang. Gagamitin ba natin ang ating mga UTAK o hahayaan na lang natin matulad sa aleng NATIGOK?

Sana, kung makakaharap natin Sya, hindi na sana ma-replay ang usapan ng ale at Dyos:

“God, bakit po di ninyo dinidinig ang aking mga dasal. Pinabayaan po ba ninyo ako?”

“Anak, hindi! Sa totoo lang, dinig na dinig ko lahat ng iyong dasal. Sinagot kita pero di mo ako pinakinggan.”

As I was waiting for him to come out from the door of the airport, I was seated with a young Filipino couple.

The wife holds their sleepy young son. The boy’s head is comfortably rested in his mother’s right shoulder while the father lovingly brushes his hair.

The sleepy boy then lifted his head and turned to his father, “Yes baby, sleep ka pa ha. Lolo is not coming out yet,” said the father.

The door opens. The father stands up to check whether the Lolo is among the passengers. As he sits down, the young kid extends his hand to his father saying, “de dodo.”

For us Pinoys, we know what that means – he is hungry and he needs his milk.

Early in the moning today, I was watching a youtube video of Sting live in Manila. And mind you, what the boy has just said is exactly the song which I googled the lyrics so I can sing along with.

Poets, priests and poiticians
Have words to thank for their positions
Words that scream for your submission

What I just saw in the airport made me realize that:

The song is not meaningless.

Between the boy and the father, the ‘de do do, da da da ‘ means so much more than asking the father a milk. It is a language of love.

For the Kupal politicians the ‘the de do do’ is not really meaningless when said eloquently. It spells magic.

For the even more kupal pinoy voters, the “de do do’ means so much more than a lovely song heard from ibong Adarna. It is a language of doom. No common sense needed. No logic required.

As we leave the airport, my mind still sings;

I just wish that the boy grew up as Jose Rizal expected him to be – the future of our mother land.

Kaya ngayon pa lang, kilatising mabuti, mag isip-isip at gamitin ang sentido kumon kung sino ang pagkakatiwalaan ninyo nang inyong napakahalagang BOTO. Dangan kasi, baka aswang imbes na tunay na lingkod bayan ang inyong maipwesto.

Kaiju poopin in Manila.

On Good Friday, March 29,2013, ABS-CBN posted this news – Netizens on Pacific Rim’ photo: Why dirty Manila?

Part of the news says, “A still from Hollywood movie “Pacific Rim” showing a pile of sea monster excrement in Manila has again awakened indignation from Filipinos online, who say filmmakers abroad should stop focusing on the “ugly” side of the Philippines.”

As usual, the Pinoys are always ready to say their piece and defend the mother land, Holy week man o hindi.

As for me, I was only wondering about the reason or reasons why Kaiju poopped in Manila.

So,  what are my thoughts on why Kaiju ‘excremented’ (may ganito bang word? – lol) in Manila?

I could only think of two.

Kaiju drank the polluted water of Manila Bay. Gusto nya ‘OXYGINATED’ or ‘HYDROGENATED’ water. may ganon? lol

Kaiju swallowed MORE thrash than he could imagine. NAIMPATSO.  Although NOT surprised about the chances of swallowing plastic and other trash, Kaiju was amazed at the volume of thrash and by the way Pinoys destroyed Manila Bay and our seas.

Napikon sya kasi hindi nya akalain na sasagutin nya si Manny Villar – Nakaligo ka na ba sa dagat ng basura? YAK!

He met with some Pinoy politicians and officials.  The pinoy politicians and officials told Kaiju that if he wants to stay in Manila, he must pay them ca$h or in kind (tons of precious metals) through their brokers outside the Philippines. When Kaiju violently refused, the pinoy politicians and officials simply asked for a photo ops. The pinoy politicians and officials thought that being with Kaiju is a the BIGGEST and BEST pogi point  they could ever have. The Pinoy media(s) and those other(s) looking for ‘sensation‘ on Holy week would be all over them and their faces with Kaiju could be seen everywhere. PerPek!

He saw the real faces of the EPALs and the trapos. He could not stomach their ITSURA in the  posters and tarpaulins posted everywhere in the streets of Manila. 

Oh, I am sorry, I thought I had only two.

Seriously (without being taken to hospital by ambulance, korni. lol), as I reflect on life (and the many things and questions I ponder upon everyday), I realized that I was and I am the one moving my life forward, backward, here, there and everywhere. I was the one who decided and the one who chose what’s for me and what’s not for me, where I should be and where I should not go. Out of these decisions and actions, many were  written in the corner of my small brain as, “should have been done that way, should have been easier.” As many as should have been done that way, should have been easier, there are also a lot of , “OMFG, I did that!” lol

HEY, don’t’ get me wrong. I have a lot to “congratulate me” (nahilo ka ba sa salitang ito? lol), cheer myself up, and so much more to thank the world, the universe and the one WHO created it.

Someone told me, life doesn’t move in straight lines.

at my age, i guess, sometimes, it does. butt,  there is no denying that the best moments, the most exciting, the most exhilarating happened while turning around the dangerous curve, speeding at the bumps and humps, on a sudden twist, on a huge fail, on a sudden rise and the big fall, face flat. (Ay. buhay ka pa! lol)

I do know now that,   for that and for all all other things , it would only take one day for them to happen,  just one day.

All because,

One day, I look and see. I looked and saw the huge canvass called life. I was mesmerized by  its beauty and till now, I am awed and owned by it.  One day, I stopped looking. I stopped seeing. Perhaps, on the other side of the huge canvass called life, I have seen something different – forced me to close my eyes. One day, I am seeing again. One day, I am looking again and then again, one day, I stopped.

One day, I write and write and wrote on that huge canvass called life. One day, I stopped writing because I thought, everything that I am trying to write has already been written long time ago even before i was born. One day, I start writing again then again I stopped.

One day, I read and read and read everything that I wrote and the other things that were written in that huge canvass called life. One day,  I stopped reading.  Not that there is nothing interesting to read there but simply, I just decided to stop . One day, I start reading again and then again, I stopped.

One day, I love and love and love everything in that huge canvass called life. One day, I stopped loving many of them. (I did not say “I hate”, just making sure of that. ha ha ha) One day I start again and stop again. and I believe, this is also the case for those who love and loved me in that huge canvass called life..

One day, I travel and travel and traveled. I have set my sight to reach all the corners of that huge canvass called life. One day, I stopped traveling. One day I start again and stop again.

One day, I talk and talk and talk and say what’s on my mind in that huge canvass called life. One day, I stopped talking. I started listening. One day, I start again and stop again. One day, I do both – talking and listening.

So let me start. Oki!

I thought my new assignment would make my small brain rest for awhile and stop memorizing or remembering more acronyms and abbreviations… I was mistaken. I was totally surprised. I was mistaken, again. LOL!

For nearly three or four decades (sorry can’t remember. lol), my small brain, on daily basis, has been accepting billion of things, maybe more if everything is counted from conception to deception, and for most part of that nearly 3 (yes, i guess 3) decades, all those RIC codes and those that are used by bankers, stock dealers, brokers, analysts, fund managers, bankers, CUSTOMERs, journalists and what have you (made money writing them though in bastardized way. lol) took the best space of my brain that in some or few instances, I forgot my name. I was thinking that my brain is using FIFO, or LIFO. Wait, ano nga ba ang FIFO at LIFO? lol

Now, I have to stretch, squeeze or find some more space inside my small brain (talaga ha?) to accommodate the new stuff like TCoE, SDLC, SLA, the so many ‘X’ Analysis things and terms, data blah blah, system security issue x,x,x,x, methodologies, structures, architectures, MIS and WTF have they told me and WTF I have to read.

My luck works in a not so constant way when at this age, (my age, yes, off course, no, of course!) my brain must only be used to visualize the best and the beautiful and what lies ahead and what should have been repeatedly playing inside it (it must be, it should be) are action words, QUIT / Retire / Enjoy after working hard for so many years…. I was mistaken. Again, I was totally surprised; I was mistaken. lol

I am not complaining. I am not ranting either. I am just saying things aloud.

Which, unrelated or not,  this morning, I saw something posted somewhere, “what’s for you won’t pass you by.” Whatever that means to you or to me, I am sure it means something. Ang gulo. lol

OH BTW, someone should have done regression testing on me. Regression testing is the process of testing changes to my brain (computer programs) to make sure that the old brain (older programming) still works with the new changes. lol

Noong isang araw, sinubukan kong pag-isipan kung ano nga ba ang ibig sabihin o may kahulugan ba o may saysay ba ang salitang, ‘Basta, ang importante, mahalaga.”

Marami pang bagay ang pumasok sa aking isipan pero wag na ninyo ako tanungin kasi inantok ako. Nakatulog at pag gising ko kinabukasan, nakalimutan ko na ang iba pang bagay bagay na pumasok sa isipan ko.

At ang kamangha-mangha sa lahat, makalipas ang ilang araw  simula ng nag-isip ako, kanina, pag gising ko, iisang linya pa rin ang malinaw na malinaw at hindi ko nakakalimutan, ‘basta,  ang importante, mahalaga.”

Naisip ko (ay salamat naman gumagana pa. lol), siguro, pag dating ng panahon, maipapaliwanag ko rin ng maayos ang aking pagka-intindi o pagka-unawa sa mga salitang ito.

May itinanong sya sa akin. Hindi ako nakasagot. Natulala, sapagkat hiyang-hiya ako. HinDi dahil may ginawa akong masama o ano mang bagay na magpapababa sa pagkatao ko bilang Pinoy.

Ang dahilan, basura.

Tama po. Basurang nagkalat. Basurang itinapon na lang sa kung saan. Basurang inanod ng baha dahil sa bagyong Gener. Basurang mula sa iba’t-ibang lugar, namasyal, napilitang manood ng paglubog ng araw sa isang bahagi ng seawall sa Roxas Boulevard. Tone-toneladang basura na lumabas sa balita at  nakunan ng larawan.

Ito, kumakalat sa buong mundo via internet. Ito ang basurang nakita ng aking kaopisina. Ito ang basurang itinanong nya sa akin. Ito ang basurang nagdulot ng aking kahihiyan bilang Pinoy.

Matagal-tagal na hindi ako nakakaranas ng ganitong kahihiyan. Matagal-tagal na rin na di ako natatamimi.

Kahapon lang ulit.

Kaya, muli, ang utak kong matagal-tagal ng di nagtatatanong at nagiisip, bigla na lang napuno ng mga tanong. Pakiwari ko, bigla na lang itong nagasgas dahil sa basura.

Pauwi ako sa Pinas noon. May nakasabay ako. Mapino ang kanyang kilos, malinis ang anyo, maayos ang bihis, kagalang-galang ang dating. Sa boarding area ng Changi Airport, habang naghihintay, kumain muna sya ng chocolate. Unti-unti,  naubos ang mamahaling tsokolate.

Malumanay na  uminom ng tubig.

Pagkatapos  ibalik ang bottled water sa kanyang leather bag,  tumayo, luminga-linga, may hinahanap.

Basurahan. Garbage bin.

Pero wala. Wala syang nakitang basurahan na malapit sa kinatatayuan nya.

Habang umuupo, dahan-dahan nyang itinupi ang wrapper, maingat na isinuksok sa isa sa bulsa ng kanyang magara, kulay itim at tila mamahaling coat. Kinuha ang iPad. Nagbasa.

“Cool. Tunay kang pinoy kabayan!,” yan ang naisip ko. Napangiti ako at napahanga sa kanyang ginawa.

Pag dating sa Pinas, hinubad ang magarang itim na coat, Kinapa-kapa ang bulsa, may dinukot. At bago sumakay sa mamahaling sasakyan na sumusundo sa kanya, ang wrapper ng tsokolate na iningatan at ibinulsa sa magara nyang coat, itinapon na lang basta sa kalsada. Hindi man lang sya nagpatumpik-tumpik o lumingon-lingon pa katulad ng ginawa nya doon sa airport ng Singapore.

Humarurot ang sasakyan. Para bagang sinasabi nya, “I’m back to where I belong! My one and unli beloved Philippines.”

Ang wrapper naman, natangay ng hangin, “OMG! He just dumped me in the street. Shit! This is it!  Welcome to the Philippines!“

Walk-out Lady

Noong nakalipas na mga araw, tineks ko ang aking kaibigan. ang sabi ko, dre, nag walk-out si Mirriam sa Impeachment Trial ni Corona.

Ang sagot sa akin ng kaibigan ko,

pre, ano naman ang keber ko dyan. kahit naman sya mag walk-out araw araw di naman mababago na OFW pa rin ako. Mabubuhay ba pamilya ko dyan? At isa pa expected naman sa kanya yan kasi sobra na sya sa talino. Ang mga nandyan mga gago. wahh.

Noon namang tumestigo si Corona, tineks ko ulit ang aking kaibigan. ang sabi ko, dre, nag walk-out si Corona pagkatapos nya sa witness stand. Napikon si Enrile.

Ang sagot sa akin ng kaibigan ko,

pre, ano naman ang keber ko dyan. kahit naman  mag walk-out si Corona araw araw di naman mababago na OFW pa rin ako. Mabubuhay ba pamilya ko dyan? At isa pa expected naman sa kanya yan kasi ayaw nya sumagot. Kasama na yan sa script buking na kasi. kailangan nya ng isang drama para maantig ang damdamin ng mga pusong mamon na pinoy. iniisip nya siguro, marami naniniwala sa kanya. baka magkaroon ng mirakol, pipol power katulad noong impeachment ni Erap.

Kay Enrile ganon din.  kahit naman araw-araw syang mapikon, wala namang epek sa kabuhayan ko yan. so, ano paki ko? Ikaw Pre, meron ba?

Noong May 10, 2012, nag-text sa akin ang aking kaibigan, Ang text message nya,  “Pre, Talo si Pacman. Nadaya! Olats ako sa pustahan. malaki! bwisit!”

Ang sagot ko naman,

dre, ano naman ang paki ko dyan? kahit araw araw matalo at madaya si pacman, di naman mababago na OFW pa rin ako. Mabubuhay ba pamilya ko dyan? Yan, pumusta ka, yari ka kay kumander, may unexplained expenses ka.  manigas ka. wag mo ako uutangan. At saka, hindi sa akin  o sa barangay mo dapat ipaalam na natalo ka, kay kumander mo yan sabihin at doon ka magpaliwanag.  lol

Noong June 23, 2012, nag-text sa akin ang aking kaibigan. ang sabi nya, Pre, nag walk-out si Ruffa sa kanyang show sa TV5. Sabi nya sa mga ilang tweets nya, “From this day on, I will no longer be part of Paparazzi. I will never tolerate DISRESPECT in any form done to me, to my children or to my beloved viewers.” and “I refuse to be part of trashy reporting that degrades people or shames others. ‪#Paparazzi‬”

Ang sagot ko sa aking kaibigan,

dre, ano naman ang paki ko dyan. kahit naman sya mag walk-out  araw araw di naman mababago na OFW pa rin ako. Mabubuhay ba pamilya ko dyan?

At kahit nga ma in-love sa akin yan (assuming), di ko sure kung ano ang aking gagawin. (at may paki pala. lol). malamang, di ko kakayanin, kasi spokening in dollars yan. eh alam mo naman ngayon, strenghtening daw ang piso kontra dolyares dahil umuunlad na ang ekonomiya ng pinas ayon sa sabi ng mga kagalanggalang na mga opisyales ng kumite de peste-ho este gobyerno. bwahahaha.

Kahapon, kasama ko ang pare ko. Nagpunta kami sa bahay ng isang kaibigan namin. Nakikain. At talaga namang  napakasarap ng inihandang pagkain ni kumare. Kaya natural din na mapasarap kwentuhan. umaasa din, baka may second round pa. ha ha ha.

Sa gitna ng kwentuhan at katuwawaan, mga alas-onse pasado  na ng gabi, lumapit sa amin ang aming kumare. sa isp ko, yan na!  yon pala may sasabihin lang kay pareko.

“Pare, may text message  si kumare.” Ang sabi, ‘UMUWI KA na! NOW NA! kung HINDI ka pa UUWI, magwo walk outside na sya sa bahay nyo para sunduin ka.’”

Ang sagot ni pareko, “Ah ganon! …. Yan!  yan ang malaki ang aking paki. D’yan ako may KEBER.”

Hmmm. Napaisip ako. Di dahil sa sinabi ni pareko kundi dahil gusto ko. Paminsan-minsan okay din pala gamitin ang brain.  Masarap din pala ang nag-iisip. bwahahaha

Kung ano ang aking iniisip, itanong mo sa box sa ibaba. pramis sasagutin kita. At kapag nagkita tayo, papanumin pa kita ng sikat na beer sa buong mundo – beertigo. (with korniks)

Me, i proceeded doing something that is not unusual. It is not UnUSUAL IN THE SENSE THAT bank employees are required by law to do the usual.  lol.  I am referring to the required (sinabi ko na ito di ba?)  KYC (Know Your Customer) blalalala.

Ang pagkaalam ko, si Justice Corona ay di isang pulitiko at tulad ng sinsasabi nya na dapat ang rule of law ang mangigibababaw. Tama lang di ba?

PERO, kaninang umaga, malinaw na sa akin na sya ay katulad na rin ng mga pulpol na pulitiko natin. Ang takbo ng kanyang pananalita ay lubhang taliwas sa kanyang position. Malamang, napanood at napakinggan din ninyo sya kanina. At ang mga sinabi nya ay madali lang intidihin, di na kailangang dumugo ang ilong at di na rin kailangan pang pag isipan pa.

He cited 3 who allegedly want him removed from office because of their supposed hidden agendas.

He said the first person wanted to stop the distribution of the Hacienda Luisita to landless farmers in Tarlac. He earlier accused Malacanang, especially the President’s allies at the Liberal Party, of planning his ouster from office after the Supreme Court decided to distribute to the farmers the sugar estate in Tarlac.

He said he is also a roadblock to a person “who really wants to be vice-president but lost in the election in 2010.” He did not name the LP’s vice-presidential bet, Mar Roxas, who lost in 2010 to Jejomar Binay.

Finally, he said he is opposed to a person whose ambition is to become chief justice.

“Sila pong tatlo ang nagsasabwatan para mapatalsik ako sa pwesto,” he said.

Of course, pwedeng sabihin na tao lang si CJ Corona. At bilang tao, tumpak na sabihin na sya ay nasasaktan din at dapat lang na sya ay lumaban at ipagtanggol ang kanyang pagkatao at dignidad.

Wala akong problema doon. Pero dapat nating pansinin, hangga ngayon ay di pa rin sya nag pa file ng leave of absence sa Supreme Court. Ibig sabihin, ang bawat kilos at mga bibitiwan nyang mga salita ay hindi bilang si “Corona” kundi bilang isang SC Chief Justice Corona.

At dahil dyan, karapat-dapat ba o hindi sa isang punong mahistrado na personal maglahad sa publiko ng isang conspiracy theory at mag akusa ng mga tao? Di ba ang mga ganitong pananalita ay sa bibig lang ng isang mamamayan na di tinaguriang Supreme Court Chief Justice na laging binabanggit ang Rule of Law? Di ba dapat ang kayang disposisyon bilang mahistrado ay mas mataas kumpara sa isang tagapag-ulat ng tsismis o katulad ng isang pulpol na pulitiko na kahit ano sasabihin basta nakaharap sa mikropono?

Kaninang umaga din, inisa-isa nya ang mga properties na pag-aari nya. Tama nga siguro, pero di ba, nagrereklamo sya sa ginawa ng prosecutors sa pagsisiwalat ng mga inpormasyong ito? Bakit ganon? Kung sana ipinakita na nya ang kanyang SALN sa publiko eh di sana malinaw na ito.

Sa bagong telenovelang ito, bagaman umaasa ako na lalong lilinaw ang ilang aspeto sa usaping ito tungkol kay CJ Corona,  paulit-ulit din namang bumabalik sa aking isipan ang mga tanon na ito.

Si CJ Corona ba ay isang pulitiko o isang Chief Justice?

Ang paglalahad ba ng isang conspiracy theory at pag akusa sa ilang mga tao ay kasama sa tinatawag ni CJ Corona na rule of law? Is that how the mind of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court works?

O katulad lang ba talaga sya ng kanyang benefactor na si Gloria Arroyo?

Is this how low the Chief Justice of the Philippines can go? O mas bababa pa sa pag usad ng impeachment trial?

Instead of feeling happy, I felt lonelier than before. Later on I realized that in my enthusiasm I had not paid any attention to what that Brazilian wanted.

You (Ikaw), are you feeling lonely?

HA?

Yes,  you read it right. It is like your parents’ never-ending words when you were a kid going to a  neighborhood children’s party.

Is it not ironic or perhaps stupid that  I tell you to behave during party time considering that you are no longer a kid?

The answer is yes and the answer is no but please don’t ask me why? lol

At this time of the year, parties are all over the place and I presume (as I always do. hehehe ), no one will dare  say that parties are a waste of money and time even if there is an economic problem, personal problem or whatever. After all, this is the season to be merry and happy after those long days of hard work. And, it’s Christmas time – period.

Obviously you know exactly what I am talking about – office parties.

Yes, office parties where the bosses down to the lowest ranks are given the chance to relax and unwind after working like donkeys for months. Although they are called parties, they are  still not the usual parties or  the real ones that we commonly know. The simple reason is that the company foots the bill and the people you party with are not exactly your personal friends, although perhaps few of them are.

These parties are also different as they may UNDO you when you forget to BEHAVE and you go astray. The professional image you’ve been trying (hard) to project for years may at an instance be shattered before everyone present in the party. The worst thing for you is that at the end of the day or when the party is over, you realize they are still the same people you have worked with for the past many years and the same guys you will mingle with for the next days to come. They are, after all, your bosses, your office-mates or your subordinates – unless of course it is your last day of work. Lol

I remember well when I was still working in the Philippines. We had a Vice President who was considered to be the most gentleman of all, the nicest, the most respected and the ‘crush ng bayan’ officer that ever lived in my company’s universe. He had our high regard until that one instant in his life when he had one drink too many and he became the most ‘maniac ng bayan‘ officer that ever worked in the company.

Although, he apologized for what had happened but things were never the same again. The label stuck with him and it evolved from maniac ng bayan to  MnB, Mannix and The Man.

Then, there was this very beautiful, prim and proper and very intelligent office-mate. And boy oh boy, she was the girl you’d want to be even in your dreams. Just like the The Man, I mean the VP, she lost count of how many cheers and kampays she had made. Lo and Behold, on that x night of Christmas, WE saw The Gift, which Santa had kept for the naughty and nice.  And SHE not SANTA made our wishes come true. ha ha ha

I can cite more situations, yet the whole point here is, you are in an office party and you need to restrain yourself. You may enjoy the party but you don’t let go and ‘let it all hang out‘ as if it’s the end of the world – sa heaven or sa hell walang alak or beer.  In other words,  you need to remember the word, BEHAVE, just like when you were told as a kid.

When you don’t, think about this.

When those ‘moments of their lives’ happened, the so-called digital world and the Internet were not as extensive, as fast and as easily accessible as it is today.

Nowadays, every event in your life is, in most occasions, recorded in digital cameras and then posted on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. Hence you cannot claim that whatever transpires in these parties is just a “figment of the imagination”. The truth is, everything is real, and there is proof.

Now, just imagine this.  What if it is you who would have this moment during this time of the year  in this digital world of ours?

Well, you are just like every human being enjoying the party, the office party, right? True, but then chances are, when you snapped, somewhere, somehow, someone will have it in HD and without you knowing it, it goes viral and you become an Internet sensation.

So, would you let go and let it all hang out and forget the word ‘BEHAVE’?

Hello! How are you there? hope yours are all fine and wont be placed as Gloria’s guarantee like Topacsyos.

I came across your blog somewhere over there (ask me not where, just consider, there!). At first I was excited. Then, I was hooked and now, I have got no idea. Your blog is just there.

Butt (to borrow your somewhat funny but stupid substitution of butt with but), don’t get too excited about the word excited and hooked. I am always like that — got few words in my head to use in describing my thoughts.

Going back, I was excited in a way that I thought I found another blog that is crap. Unfortunately, I later found out that your crappy blog entries have got some sense, the reason for which I got hooked. I love reading nonsense. But then reading more entries from your blog,  I had to assure myself that I really love nonsense and that’s the reason why I have got no idea where I am at right now.

I do not want to flatter you so I would rather keep quiet ass to which or what entry has sense.

Just the same, and in order not to deflate your ego, your crappy blog has plenty of errors. Again, I would rather keep quiet ass to which and where all those errors could be found. It is your blog, and so it is your problem, not mine. bwahahahaha!

Nevertheless, I appreciate your time writing here and there. It just shows, you have plenty of time to waste and that makes me happy coz it justifies my wasting time (reading your blog) as well. I am not alone. Reading your blog somehow proves that I really love nonsense.

My detractors and readers (do i have alot? hahaha) want to relay to you how terribly right you are. Yes that’s coming from the bottom of their guts. Unfortunately, they are all puzzled and confused as to what you really want to say. Really. They all want to see not just a double talk but also a clear statement saying that my blog sucks and I write crap and the worst blog ever.

Honestly, this blog does not mind the words crappy blog entries, nonsense, lots of errors and other negative words. They don’t affect me either. Why? If you have read what is written on top,  the other side blog of myepinoy. Keeping you disconnected, disoriented… and I call this blogging, this blog has no other intention but such. It is what it is and as you can see, it has not deviated from it,  (just a bit maybe) – clear and truthful (???) from the start. If you would allow me to brag, your letter just proved it. You wrote it exactly the way I wanted it to be – nonsense.

BUTT,  Nonsense is actually an understatement. LOL

I too admire you. You have what it takes to understand, love or hate this blog. I wish your kind would multiply faster than any other known species on earth. Then I would have a chance to become famous and perhaps you too and the rest who love nonsense.

And typical of the televenovelas that we Pinoys have had to endure or enjoy for years, the bida and the kontrabida are doing what they are supposed to do – ACT. The carefully worded statements on media (of course) directed at us viewers, delivered with so much passion and great emotion, perhaps to gain sympathy or empathy (look, I am pitiful baby.), to raise our emotions, to tickle our brain cells, just in case they do function that way (hahahaha) are pasted everywhere and we are now in it, amused or otherwise, watching the shift of fortunes, just like in the Gulong ng palad.

As it was then and as it is now, it is very clear that everything changes. The then powerful family who stayed in power for nearly nine years (or more) is just like the many  men that lived, died and had fallen (including Manny Pacquiao although not dead yet. lol) and as always, at a certain point, had to struggle as  tricks usually ran short hence,  losing invincibility is a certainty. With it, comes the realization (I just assume,) that being in that powerful tower of power  is just a temporary cloak that covers human frailties, change,  good or bad has to take its place.

Perhaps, the gods went crazy and the universe conspired,  set the condition for harvesting what  has been sown.  Probably this is a simple case of karma, the ‘basura mo babalik sa yo’  thing or simply, that which they normally say, ‘what goes around comes around.’ After all, there is a shape called circle and in it, there is always an angle or place where every turn of events  are happening or where it is bound to happen. At this point, a 360-degree turn is at full view of everyone.

Life is good and life could be a piece of shit and it always depends on which situation one is  in. Being in any of that circumstance is either a poetic justice or simply an irony of being alive. Again, just like in most telenovelas, the tensions always build up, much more intense than the previous one because the actors changed roles. Sa dami ng mga manunulat at style ng pagsulat ng istorya, ang bida noon ay nagiging kontrabida ngayon and vice versa.

So what?

Okay, let me.

Let me just focus on one of the main characters of this unfolding telenovela. The one who is at the thick of the airport scene? The one who is now in the frame of your screen? The one guy who is GMA’s light and shining armor? That one you either love or hate but could not be named.

The man.

And because he is the man of the moment, let us dwell on what he is barking about at this point. Forget the props and the hullaballoo. Let us zero-in to that one piece of shit that this guy has just said. That one that caught my attention and that is:

‘Aquino gov’t ‘a bunch of schoolyard bullies‘

As it is or as it was (whatever), I remember one good statement that was said long time ago which my brain could not remember who ever said it and it goes this way, ‘They are the gang of thieves!‘

Now, we are presented with two interesting if not compelling lines from one of the actors of this ongoing high drama brought to you by the Philippines Never Ending Story Productions and from the guy who I could not remember.

The BIG question in my mind for which I hope you would help me find a good answer is:  Which do you prefer?

The gang of thieves or a bunch of schoolyard bullies.

I’d like to assume that your answer is as good as mine – Nothing! But then, we’ve been through this situation (choosing the lesser evil) several times in the past, so, just,
