As I have opportunities to visit retail stores, service-based businesses, and other locations, I find myself sub-consciously evaluating the customer service staff. Since I’m a customer service oriented person myself, I know how hard it can be at times to be pleasant and knowledgeable at all times. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

Being able to pop in a bit of text or a list of links or whatever in the sidebar is one of the key factors to the flexibility that we all love and enjoy. Depending on your theme, you may have even more Widget options! As you can see on this page, I have two Widgets above, a couple on the side, and three below.

Cinco de Mayo

I grew up in Southwest Idaho, an area rich in Hispanic culture. As a youngster, I entered coloring contests for “Cinco de Mayo” at our local grocery store (even won one once!) and enjoyed great Mexican food. Looking back, I realized that “Cinco de Mayo” meant “5th of May”, but really had no idea what the significance of that day was. This year, I looked up some information to find out why this day is so celebrated.
