After implementation for Singapore, fund sector performance ranking history is created for the following countries:

16/7/08 - Belgium
16/7/08 - Hong Kong
16/7/08 - Germany
16/7/08 - Sweden
16/7/08 - Switzerland
26/7/08 - Austria
26/7/08 - Denmark
26/7/08 - Finland
26/7/08 - France
26/7/08 - Holland
26/7/08 - Italy
26/7/08 - Taiwan

Server upgrade and enhancement priority

There is more fund charts in myfundcharts.com than when it is started around July 2006. So the server’s hard disk has to be upgraded. In addition, past results of fund screening are not removed. May be in future, only results of the past six months will be available. Scheduled downtime for myfundcharts.com is 25/5/08 09:00 - 11:30(GMT + 8). Currently new features in pipeline are

Fund chart search
Currently myfundcharts.com is depending on Google custom fund search engine for searching fund charts in myfundcharts.com . Not all fund charts are indexed because Google index robots ignore funds that are sold in more than one country. The fund chart search feature is similar to new Yahoo! Finance symbol search
Fund sector performance ranking history for the rest of countries
Dynamic charting, e.g. user-specified period, comparison of more than one fund

What is fund sector performance ranking history?

Fund sector performance ranking history shows performance rankings of fund sectors of an interval over a period of time. Below is an example

In this example, weekly performance ranking is used and historical period is twelve weeks. Of course you can use bi-weekly and monthly performance ranking.
Difference between performance ranking and performance ranking history

Traditional performance ranking is calculated on one or more intervals, e.g. one month, six months, one year. For ranking history, one interval is used but rankings are shown for multiple times.
How to profit from performance ranking history?

You can use performance ranking history just like performance ranking, e.g. to identify strong/weak fund sectors in term of performance. Another way is to look for fund sectors in transition similar to fund screening. For example, in the example shown above, Materials, Brazil, Russia and Energy funds are gaining strength, e.g. from negative gain to positive gain(for multiple weeks)

Note : Currently only Singapore fund sector performance ranking history is implemented.
