I relaxed last night, but my relax date was supposed to be while on spring break. Although I just couldn't take it anymore, I had to relax my hair. I don't think I have gained much length, but more thickness. I will post pics in the next few days.

This may be spring break for some, but us College or University folks know that we need to be getting portfolios together, papers typed, reflective letters done and study time Since finals start right after the spring break ends, so this is no break for me. I have passed my other class with an A and I am anticipating a B in my English class my math class might be a low B or C lol.

The really good news, I got into a program that will have me finishing my AA degree in one years time, and the ability to transfer into a four year university! It's a fast program and I go to school for one year straight. The thing about it is the classes that I have finished that are towards my degree are beneficial to my getting done even faster. The awesome news is I will only be in class two days a week, verses 5 or more days straight. I am already running a 3.0 average and the program states that everyone usually passes with a 4.0 or more.

I think I can do this lol, lord knows I'm gonna try.

Hi My Lovelies

I hope everyone is well and enjoying this new spring weather. I have survived Midterms! Yuppie, but I still have not relaxed yet, and honestly I don't have the time to retouch my hair. I am shooting for spring break week though, so hopefully I can do it than.

Still loving the Aveda and have added the product Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair. Currently I am wearing braidouts; yup you heard right braidouts at twelve plus weeks post.

I am still dieting, but not hitting the gym as much. I do however have a new work out buddy, it's my sister so this should be fun. I will only be able to attended the gym a few days a week, but still something is better than nothing.

I got a little inspiration the other day when I went for a Me Day (Us moms know what I mean).I tried on some new jeans and tops, and let me just let the picture speak for it's self. I was kind of surprised once I put them on lol.

These are a size 13, and I have not been in a 13 in two summers maybe. I still have more to go, and I would love to get back to a 10 before the summer. I want to do this with out losing muscle lol, and I don't know if that's gonna happen because I have a lot of booty back there, and I have been upping my protein intake. Mostly now I am focusing on stomach and thighs. I think when I think about it I have returned back to where I wanted to be; a size 13 in these type of jeans (boot cut) and a medium in tops, and I'm back there now. I just want my thighs and stomach a little tighter. So my stats: 5'7 163lbs, size medium tops, and 13 in jeans.

I ended up picking up these jeans and 2 tops plus other stuff that day lol. Oh and that's a braid out I'm rocking, and you know I'm a sucker for big hair.

Also I have both the Urban Decay palettes I spoke about in the other post. I am still ;however, waiting on 2 other palettes I ordered from ebay. The urban palettes came from urban decay.com though. I am also a bonofide ebay seller now! I have sold my maxi glide and my rusk hot air brush and a few other things.

How is everyone,I hope you all are well. Just wanted to update you guys and touch base. Schools kicking my butt, and I have lots of studying and such. My kids also recently got accepted into a brand new charter school. I or we are so happy about this.

I am looking forward to this being a move in a much better direction for both my children. The school will offer music programs and sports. They already have 2 schools in Maryland that are running successfully. The school models after teaching children with disability's, or more so on the multi sensor approach. This is a triple plus for my son, and will be a added bonus for my daughter seeing as how she loves to express herself lol.

I recently scored the Naked Palette and am currently waiting on the Black Palette to arrive in the mail. I caught the palette when I received a email from Urban Decays website.

I am also 12 weeks post, and I know I will be relaxing soon, but just not sure when. I am thinking Spring Break. Its either relaxing or braids until the summer.
I plan to do a video soon so look for me to post it either here or Youtube.

So a long time ago I said I would do her micros in the front half wig in the back hair style. Here it is.

I paln to keep this in 2 weeks, the back I put in connecting plaits and sewed yes sewed like I was doing a sew in the ends to my head.

I am strongly thinking of for going half wigs and start wearing lace fronts human hair or other. I find that its hard to match my hair to the hair on the wig or now that my bangs are growing past my chin its not so easy to blend. So its either half saw ins, full sew ins, wigs or lace fronts.

Yes I have been doing plenty of researchand have all the tools plus tried sewing and glueing (not to my head). I have some things to video haul for you guys soon.

LOL I made a batch of Whip Shea Butter that I added some Tangerine essential oil for smell.

This is for my body not my hair, I still have some hair blended shea mix that I am not even using. I made this because I ran out and this dry weather plus my eczema is trying to come back. I usually only get it on my back an sure enough it is lol.

Yup it took 3 hours lol, I need a new blender this one is like 9 years old lol. It would not take as long if I had a better hand blender.

Blended Shea Butter is different than Whipped Shea Butter.

It's been 2 deep conditioning treatments with the Aveda products!

Omg my hair feels sooo freaking good! I have used all 3 products by now, the dry remedy poo and deep treatment and the Damage therapy treatment. I am seeing wayyy less breakage,this on top of my new spray mix and sealing in my moisture with my Castor and Coconut oil mix, my hair is soft the whole week long.

I also did my very first Black Tea rinse, the day after my deep conditioner and when I went to moisturize my hair with my spray mix the next night I had 1 shed hair.

Now how did I do my Black Tea rinse the day after washing and conditioning, simple I boiled (not raging) water on the stove, took 8 packs of off brand black and orange tea let them steep till the water became cold. Poured some of the tea into an applicator bottle but the bottle (no top) in the microwave for 20 seconds. Than just applied the wet dripping messy liquid (lol) to my roots only. I did it in sections and massaged the roots/sections as I applied. Let my roots dry just a little than applied my spray mix to length only and sealed. Let me say my scalp felt funny the whole time it was drying lol.

The next night I just applied my spray mix and sealed my whole head like normal. I tell you there is something to be said about moisturizing your hair in sections and only pulling out 1 shed hair.

Now don't even ask me what switching to an expensive product when I am heavy handed already when it comes to applying products as it is like this will do to my pocket book.

Guess what I want the aveda products to be staples, this means allllll my products are going into the sale, even the stuff I just brought and hauled.

I must say I love how my hair feels. Last night I left it (Dry Remedy) on my hair for about 30 minutes with no heat. The directions say leave it on for 2 to 5 minutes. I usually have issues with detangling my hair after washing, which is why I brought the Knot Today. Last night very little issues, no tangles if anything more knots, 3 at the most.

I made my winter spray mix finally, Spring Water, Glycerin, Castor Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil and Sweet Almond oil. I sprayed my hair after it was 50% dry with the mix and sealed with my castor and coconut oil mix.

I also did the same with my daughters hair. This morning our hair is butter soft, last night I used no protein which is unusual for me I know.

I will say this product has cones in it so I am not sure how it works so well, an as for Suave Almond saying it works just as well as Aveda. In my option, no there is no ease of detangling there is no softness of hair before you apply any product after washing. I did clarify before hand both my and my daughters hair, so I could get the effects of both the Dry Remedy poo and conditioner.

LOL here it is sorry the lighting sucked, I brightened it as much as I could and another pic pf me playing in makeup with a look I did, I believe all the colors are MAC except my filled in eyebrows. I have my cell phone in my hand. This was on the boat as we were heading out to sea.

Yes I look fat to me, I'm only a size 12 thou. Either way I dont like it so I'm hitting the gym 3 days a week and hitting my ellliptical machine on the days I can't. Dont even ask me how I will do this going to school 5 days a week.

Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing shampoo,Dry Remedy Treatment Moisturizing Treatment Masque, Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment and ORS Aloe Shampoo to clarify my hair.

The MAC store I went to the other day is a few stores away from an Aveda Store.I am already I member online (Aveda) but never purchased. I have heard of these products since the start of my hair journey. When I asked the sales woman were both products protein, she said the Dry Remedy is 100% moisture and the Damage Remedy is 50% moisture and 50% protein.

I don't like high end products, these 3 alone with the point membership cost me 90 bucks. I have been dealing with breakage lol and needed other options. These sizes I picked up are not the biggest, I brought the 4.2 oz in both the treatments $29 a piece and the 6.7 oz shampoo at $24.00. These products come in other sizes for more money of course.

Now if they work would I replace my regular products, yes. I have used the Dry Remedy's only, on both my and my daughters natural hair and I like the results so far.

So I had picked up a 4 pack of the Chi Ceramic Nail Lacquer some time ago. I have used 2 colors and decided to take pictures of 1 even thou I like all the colors. I don't really like loud colors so at all for my hands and rarely for my toes. The colors are are Chi: Shell of a Good Time, White Russian, Oh Baby Baby and Sorbet Addict.

The Color pictured is Shell of a Good Time.

It's a Pearly type color I applied 1 coat with no basecoat. It almost looks like a baby pink to me.

I brought the 4 pack at Tj Maxx.

So I kept my word and relaxed my hair on black friday lol. I only have length pics to show I dont think I will be able to do video for a while. Its just not in my time frame lol. The pics of my hair has been trimmed. I am wearing it down for a total of 2 days than back into my half wigs until the middle of December. I dont plan to relax again until maybe my first school break in 2011. I think thats when I will have time.

I'm thinking there is not that much progress since I just relaxed. Enjoy

So whats up with me?

I know it's been a minute since I last updated you guys so here goes. I am down to the last 4 weeks of school which means Finals are a coming. I am still passing all my classes with Gods good Grace.

I still have not relaxed yet but plan to the day after Thanksgiving. I am tempted to not relax because my new growth feels so good lol. I have picked up a new Half wig, Sensational Style HZ 7056 color 2, shes still in the box however. I have picked a few things that I would like to video for you guys but I kind of don't have the time or energy.

I will say that I am having problems with my 7 year old daughter acting out for attention. I guess she is so used to me being home 247, that she needs time to adjust to my not being there, than my having to set aside time for homework and studying. I am already signed up for my next classes 3 at 5 days a week next semester. This semester I had Saturday and Sunday classes so that kind of made time management and balance not as easy. Next semester my classes are all weekdays which includes 1 day of 2 classes.

Otherwise all is good and even though I am cooking for Thanksgiving my mind is not on thanksgiving. It's on getting all the various tests and projects completed and handed in on time.

So I washed my hair the other day and figured I would share my new-growth pics with you guys. I am so many weeks post (not sure lol) but I will be relaxing during my upcoming Thanksgiving school break. I am still wearing half wigs and full cap wigs.

Also last night I went and saw For Colored Girls and I loved it. So much to say about this movie. Also I brought and read Terry McMillan's new book Getting Back to Happy, the sequel to Waiting to Exhale. I loved that as well. I have heard that For Colored Girls was a book, I would love to read the book and will find it.

Home front News!

My sons school did the annul pumpkin farm trip the other day and my husband attended while I stayed home. My son got to milk a cow, a real big live cow and I was so proud. I say that because coming from the place my son did and growing and evolving the way he is, I am so proud of him. Yes something so simple as milking a cow, things like this he used to never do. At any rate my husband took plenty of pics and sent that one specially to me, he says our son was running around touching all the animals, he even tried to touch the big female pig but was told to stop lol. Is this the first time he has been to a farm, nope he has been to several farms and the zoo more than a few times as we used to have a yearly membership. So for him to step out like that is a very very big thing. I have also found an after school program that met my standards after 7 or so years lol.

Round 3 or 4 with IEP is coming this coming week, the school cst team sent me a draft iep in the mail, which they are not supposed to do according to my sons advocate. They can change some things like goals and 1 other thing but they re-did the whole iep. So this just proves they are still shady. Plus I am not agreeing to all they have chosen.

At any rate tis all for now folks, Sunshine I am sorry that I have not had time to follow the rules for the blog award you had given me. I hope you understand.

Hair update!

Hi lovelies,

New news, I finally wore Carmen and also picked up a new half wig Express Weaves La Aqua.

The picture above is her, she reminds me of a small plait braid out where if I did 10 or 12 small braids through out my hair. She is synthetic and I brought her simple for blending of my new growth as I am some weeks post. She (Brand) is closer to my funky hair color than other wigs/ half wigs I have brought so far.

I finally wore Carmen but pulled back with a hair band and pinned in place a little. I only wore her because of the fact that I have not washed my hair in 2 weeks lol. I have moisturize an sealed every few days. I am also dealing with I small amount of breakage which I believe is from to much moisturizing. I am not worried about the not washing for 2 weeks because of if you follow my blog you know this is what I used to do before making this blog, wash and DC every 2 weeks.

I would DC this weekend if I had the time to wash and detangle and re braid my hair but I don't. So with the election this Tuesday (yes I already early voted) I will prep my hair Monday night after class and wash Tuesday since my kids have no school. I have to wash my daughters hair this weekend so my hair will come Tuesday.

School school school, lets just say pop quizzes, tests , projects and studying. I have roughly 2 months left for this semester, I have been doing good on my tests and projects so far and this is good, I have a test Monday morning in class and a test I have to do at home and hand in either Saturday or Sunday, so I need to go start the test that I need to hand in and study for my classroom test on Monday. Wish me luck!

Hello lovelies,

So I had some extra time on my hands and decided I should update you guys, seeing as how my kids have a 4 day weekend and I have no classes till Saturday. I have brought a 2 new wigs, well 1 is a repurchase of the wig I had on in my previous video and the other one is this one.

She is Model Model full cap FC-103 Italian Girl The color I have is 2, which still does not match my ends lol, match's my roots and such perfectly. I could not find and videos on this one on youtube :( but oh well. Now I have a total of 4 wigs/half wigs, I still have not worn the Carman wig yet.

As of today I have put my hair in cornrows to wear under my half wigs, leaving out the crown area for blending. My take on half wigs and full Cap wigs: where oh where have they been during my hair journey.

I love them (half wigs) I plan to wash and condition in my cornrows since they are a protective style. Other than that I have nothing else to update with the exception that school is adding up to tests and projects lol. These set of classes end Dec 19th but I register for my next set of spring classes the end of November. I have 4 more credits to take before I start my required course load, this means if I get all 4 of those credits complete plus pass the classes I am taking now, come fall 2011 I will be starting my real courses, god willing finish those in the semester year than I have to work for 1 year as a LPN than go back to college and do the LPN to RN bridge program after I take and pass the RN license test than do an online accredited for my BSN in nursing.

Truthfully this all sounds and is way to easy and I'm waiting for the catch lol. I am also considering shutting down my blog, for the simple fact I do not have enough time to publish updates. I have things waiting to haul but no time to get on camera and when I do get time I have already used half the stuff or I'm dog tired lol.
