Well I bought two of those trail cameras this year, and put them out where I do most of my deer hunting. After a few days the suspense got the best of me, and I went out and changed the cards. Next time I will leave them a little longer. Both cameras had pictures of a doe, the cameras are a long way apart, so I don't think it's the same one. This is the best of the pictures, there are a few pictures of this doe with the flash not bothering her at all.

Next, I need a picture of the big buck. :)

My Hunt Camp # 4 - it's about time

Well it's finally here, episode 4 of the My Hunt Camp podcast. It's got a great tip for new hunters, a product review, and a great recipe that is quick and easy with very little clean up. Wow it was tougher than I thought it would be. When it came time to put all of those thoughts out, I couldn't say them as fast as I wanted. So there are to many ummm's. We can still bow hunt until the end of the year, so I plan to get out for that a few times. Yes, we still have a tag as my son didn't get his deer yet, but he had a great time and learned a few lessons.

From the other hunters around here, that I have talked to, it seems that the larger groups did well. He is 15 and this is the first year he is allowed to carry his own gun on the hunt. I filled my tag on opening day with a nice forked buck, it was a school day for my son, but his turn will come.

Good luck and safe hunting to those that are still out.
