Medical ID Tag

Recently, I watched a Hong Kong drama which is about family life. The husband is too busy with his work where he aims to give the best to his family. However, he never thought that he has neglected his wife and children. One day, the husband and wife quarrel over the time spent at work and at home. Eventually, his wife left the home.

Since his wife left, he is not able to cope with his work and his children’s needs. One of the children then fall sick and when asked by the doctor about medical history, he is not able to provide any details because his wife knows better. As a result, his child almost dies because of allergies to the medicine.

Even though the medical world is ever so advance, there is not much could be done to treat allergies and the likes. Medical ID Tag is the simplest way to alert a doctor or medic regarding a person’s condition before starting a treatment. Universal Medical ID provides personalized medical jewelry with various designs and free engraving of medical information. These jewelries will not make a person feels different as it is just like normal jewelries with various forms to choose from.

My blog is finally back to its shape. It has been quite a long wait. The reason that nothing appeared on the main page since yesterday afternoon was because the server was on read-only status. It went normal for a few minutes and during that few minutes, I tried to update a few posts and got hung when the server went read-only again. And the result of this, I lost a few paid postings.

I really hope that this server will stay solid as promised when I first signed up. It has been a disappointment in the last couple of months. However, I remain confident because the problems were solved in a reasonable time even though the wait was like forever to all the users.

Server up, but only temporary ...

It is Thursday. The weather is cold and the sky is dark. I could not update my blog since yesterday because it was down yesterday’s afternoon when it was up again; all the files are on read-only permission until now. Somehow, this only happens on box13 server where my blog is located.

Well, my photo gallery is almost ready now. In fact, it was ready until yesterday when Mee complaint that it was difficult to navigate through the pictures. Hence, I am changing it to another easy to use photo gallery which I have tested it before.

I am quite fed up with Firefox version 2 and I am trying the version 3 again now. The problem that I am facing with version 2 is that the pop up does not show any information. This happens since the upgrade to 2.0.0.15 and the latest version 2.0.0.16 is of no help too. I guess that I will need to change my home computer’s Firefox as well.

Car seats?

In UK, the government is paying a lot more attention in safe driving compare to Malaysia. Regulations such as the need for all passengers to have their seat belt on, car seats for children and the likes are being enforced. However, no matter how heavy the penalty is, drivers still do not heed the advice of following the traffic rules and regulations. It is somehow sad to see bad things happening when they could have been avoided through safe driving.

My colleagues had just talked about car seats for their children and they mentioned about Britax car seats which they believe in the quality and built of the products. They are more than willing to pay for the quality rather than getting something cheap and unreliable. However, back in Malaysia, most people may have thought that car seats are unnecessary since it is not mandatory by law.

Properties, a big investment

A while ago, my manager had bought a flat near the college. There had been some minor problems with the previous owner where the structure of the flat may need to be inspected and approved before they could sign the paperwork. However, all is good now because my manager has moved into his flat and he walks to the college everyday.

Few days ago, I read from the newspaper saying that would-be house buyers will need to save their whole year salary in order to pay the deposit of the house which is up to £21,000 to some amount which I have forgotten.

In my manager’s case, he actually borrowed money from two separate mortgage lenders; one for the deposit (sort of), and one for the rest of the amount. Well, that was because he was a first time buyer. Still, it is very good that he was able to find a property near the college and there is a superstore nearby. It takes him about 15 minutes of walk to the college and another 5 – 10 minutes to town which is reasonably better than me; 30 minutes walk to college if I walk fast.

Recycle bins, where are you ...

It is Wednesday. A hot day. I have to open my window to let myself cool down. And I am not having any coffee today. Usually, I will only drink one third to not more than half cup of coffee. Sounds a little waste but I just do not want to drink too much.

Yesterday, when I walked through Festival Place, there were recycle bins section setup near the management office. Well, it was a good beginning, I thought. However, those recycle bins disappeared today. I thought of recycling yesterday’s newspaper but none of the bins were there.

The Leviathan Chronicles

The first time that I heard about the word Leviathan was from Final Fantasy VII. Leviathan is one of the most powerful summon materias in the later stage of Final Fantasy VII. Leviathan materia also features in Final Fantasy: Crisis Core and I always think that game producers are always good in naming things and powers. As I wiki for Leviathan, it is actually a Biblical sea monster.

I used to listen to radio drama where the stories were either about love or hate and we could usually see it from television drama. Sci-Fi story is quite a new thing to me and after listening the first episode while at work, it definitely makes me feel wanting for more.

The hottest Sci-Fi story, The Leviathan Chronicles, is available online now for listening. And it is free. The story talks about immortality and mortal beings living in the same world. So, are they battle one another in order to survive in this world or are they trying to live peacefully together? It is all up to you to find out through listening to The Leviathan Chornicles podcast. While you listen to the podcasts, do not forget to read more about the characters featured in The Leviathan Chornicles. Well, I am quite attracted to the character Seinshun, the Rebellion Leader and also the youngest immortal.

Planning my leaves, maybe ...

It is Tuesday now. I had an internal training with another department yesterday. It was quite good because I have a better understanding on the operation of my department and other departments. Those things were not told to me when I first joined the college. There will be at least three sessions per week and each session will last about three hours at most.

One of my colleagues is having a three weeks holiday and I heard that she will be going to Florida with her family. And my ex-manager is having a week off this week. Soon, it will be my turn or my manager’s turn to have some leaves taken. I wonder when my manager will take his leaves because it will be August soon and our leaves expire at the end of August. Also, my previous overtime hours during part-time enrolment period have earned me some time in lieu where it will be added into my total leaves too.

Hmm… my sister said that guys cannot multitask. I think that Mee said it before too. That is because I keep telling them that I will do my other tasks once I accomplish my car stuffs. So, whatever it is, I will plan my leaves once I have my car’s payment, insurance and breakdown cover sorted out. Anyway, it has to be sorted out within this week.
