I would like to share to you the verses that i chose for me and my husband. This serves as my special gift for him for our 10th year anniversary and i am so glad he liked it. I sent this to him on our 10th year anniversary as husband and wife last November 21, 2009. He told me it would be nice if i will share them with you…so here goes…

10 Bible Verses for YOU and ME

1. Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

This verse always reminds me of you and how God touched your heart and life thru this verse. You always remind me of this whenever we face problems and difficulties in our life.

2. Psalm 55:22

Cast your cares on the LORD
       and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.

Since I know your favorite verse, you should know mine, too. This is the first verse that I have always loved. Since I easily give up on things and most of the time I find it hard to solve things my way, I want to remind myself that I should entrust everything to God because with Him nothing is impossible.

3. John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This the first verse that Micaella and Kyle memorized … and I believe this is also important for us because this reminds us of the love of God for us that He wanted us to be with Him in eternal life.

4. Ephesians 5:21

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

As husband and wife this will truly help us to love each other with honor and respect.

5. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

This will remind us of what LOVE is really about

LOVE- Leads us to the Light by following the way of Jesus Christ,

LOVE – Overflows when you are willing to Offer your life for Others

LOVE – Very much brings joy, hope and faith for those who love God

LOVE – Endures forever like the Everlasting love of God for Everyone

6. 2 Corinthians 9:13-15

13Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

I thank God for this gift that he has given us. Let us continue to help others by sharing what we have and helping those in need whichever way we can.

7. Galatians 5:22-23

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

The fruits of the Holy Spirit which remind us to be watchful of our actions… wag malaglag ang bunga!

8.Hebrew 6:12

12We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

This will remind me to be enthusiastic in doing things and always remember that in everything I do , I do it for the glory of God. Always remind me of this verse lakay ha.

9. Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

Although there are times when I am about to give up on serving the Lord please remind me of this verse. I would really love to teach our kids about the word of God, but please help me, I also want them to be servants of God.

10. Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

This will remind us that God will never leave us in our every endeavor. He will always be there especially in times of trouble. Also reminds us to be thankful and contented with our blessings especially to be contented with one another.

YOU ARE GOD’S PRECIOUS GIFT TO ME, TO OUR KIDS, OUR FAMILY AND THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU…I LOVE YOU LAKAY ! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I love you with the love of God. I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER! MMMMWAAAAAH…TTTSSSSSUUUUPPPP…I LOVE U!

Sometimes we overlook the goodness of God in our lives. We ponder on things that make us sad, not being able to see the good things that are happening around us .

The problems we face everyday, whether it be financial , emotional, physical, spiritual, make us forget that there are many things that can remind us that we are special to God our Father…

Everytime we face such trials or difficulties in our lives, let us always remember that there are so many other things that God gave to us which make us important. When we think of our blessings God provided for us, our family, our kids, the people around us who love and care for us, the friends we seldom see, the physical well being, and most importantly, that spiritual gifts that He gives us as we grow in serving, knowing, praising, loving God with all our heart and mind.

Our failures often times rob us of our joy. Don’t let thing happen. Let the Spirit of God be upon us always thru His words. Let us sing praises to Him in the midst of problems, failures, temptations and difficulties.

”A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.” –Proverbs 17:22 (NLT)

We will be victorious if we let God enter into our hearts and lives. God bless you all!

One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah the beauty of God’s creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work. As I sat there, I felt the Lord’s presence with me.

He asked me, "Do you love me?"

I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and Saviour!"

Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me?"

I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn’t; be able to do, the things that I took for granted.

And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, but I would still love You."

Then the Lord said, "If you were blind, would you still love my creation?" How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation.

So I answered, "Its hard to think of it, but I would still love you."

The Lord then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word?" How could I listen to anything being deaf?

Then I understood. Listening to God’s Word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts.

I answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your word."

The Lord then asked, "If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?"

How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me: God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. And praising God is not always with a song, but when we are persecuted, we give God praise with our words of thanks.

So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your Name."

And the Lord asked, "Do you really love Me?"

With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, "Yes Lord! I love You because You are the one and true God!"

I thought I had answered well, but God asked, "THEN WHY DO YOU SIN?"

I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not perfect."

"THEN WHY IN TIMES OF PEACE DO YOU STRAY THE FURTHEST? WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLE DO YOU PRAY THE EARNEST?"

No answers. Only tears.

The Lord continued: "Why only sing at fellowships and retreats? Why seek Me only in times of worship? Why ask things so selfishly? Why ask things so unfaithfully?"

The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.

"Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading the good news? Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when I offer My shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?"

I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.

"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to turn away. I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heard your prayers and I have answered them all."

DO YOU TRULY LOVE ME ?"

I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this? My heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I said, Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be Your child."

The Lord answered, " That is My Grace, My child."

I asked, " Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?"

The Lord answered, "Because you are My creation. You are my child. I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you till the end of days, and I will love you forever."

Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I had done?

I asked God, "How much do You love me?"

The Lord stretched out His arms, and I saw His nail-pierced hands. I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Saviour. And for the first time, I truly prayed.

Here’s a story to share… It is a bit long but is worth reading. Please have the patience to read this story and share your LOVE by sharing this story to your friends and loved ones and…

The Chain of Love

He was driving home one evening, on a two-lane country road. Work, in this small mid-western community, was almost as slow as his beat-up Pontiac. But he never quit looking. Ever since the Levis factory closed, he’d been unemployed, and with winter raging on, the chill had finally hit home.

It was a lonely road. Not very many people had a reason to be on it, unless they were leaving. Most of his friends had already left. They had families to feed and dreams to fulfill. But he stayed on. After all, this was where he buried his mother and father. He was born here and knew the country.

He could go down this road blind, and tell you what was on either side, and with his headlights not working, that came in handy. It was starting to get dark and light snow flurries were coming down. He’d better get a move on.

You know, he almost didn’t see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road. But even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe, he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill that only fear can put in you. He said, "I’m here to help you m’am. Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm. By the way, my name is Joe."

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough Joe crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt. As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down her window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn’t thank him enough for coming to her aid. Joe just smiled as he closed her trunk.

She asked him how much she owed him. Any amount would have been alright with her. She had already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Joe never thought twice about the money. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance that they needed, and Joe added "…and think of me".

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight. A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The cash register was like the telephone of an out of work actor, it didn’t ring much.

Her waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed that the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Joe.

After the lady finished her meal, and the waitress went to get her change from a hundred dollar bill, the lady slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. She wondered where the lady could be, then she noticed something written on a napkin. There were tears in her eyes, when she read what the lady wrote. It said, "You don’t owe me a thing, I’ve been there too. Someone once helped me out, the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here’s what you do. Don’t let the chain of love end with you."

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could she have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard. She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything’s gonna be alright, I love you Joe."

I haven’t posted for quite a long time because I was busy with others things. I hate the word BUSY for it stands for B-burried, U-under, S-satan’s, Y-yoke.

As Christians, we should always be watchful with the things we do and learn to prioritize things which are important to God like our ministries in sharing His word. As we study His word we will learn how important it is to have a BLESSED HOME… this serve as a guide for us…

BEATITUDES FOR THE HOME

BLESSED are the husband and wife who continue to be affectionate and considerate, loving after the wedding bells have ceased ringing.

BLESSED are the husband and wife who are as polite and courteous to one another as they are to their friends.

BLESSED are they who have a sense of humor, for this attribute will be a handy shock absorber.

BLESSED are they who love their mates more than any other person in the world and who joyfully fulfill their marriage vows of lifetime of fidelity and mutual helpfulness to one another.

BLESSED are they who attain parenthood, for children are a heritage of the Lord.

BLESSED are they who remember to thank God for their food before they partake of it, and who set apart some time each day for the reading of the Bible and for prayer.

BLESSED are those mates who never speak loudly to one another and who make their home a place where "seldom is heard a discouraging word".

BLESSED are the husband and wife who faithfully attend the worship service of the church and who work together in the church for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom.

BLESSED are the husband and wife who can work out problems of adjustments without interference from relatives.

BLESSED is the couple who has a complete understanding about financial matters and who has worked out a perfect partnership with all money under the control of both.

BLESSED are the husband and wife who humbly dedicate their lives and their home to Christ and who practice the teachings of Christ in the home by being unselfish, loyal, and loving.

(Brad Paisley)
As they nail me to this tree
Just know the Father waits for me
(Sara Evans)
God how can this be your will?
To have your son and my son killed?

(Brad Paisley)
Whatever happens…whatever you see…
Whatever your eyes tell you has become of me
This is not…
Not the end…
I am making all things new again

(Sara Evans)
I remember when you were born
In that manger where I first held
You in my arms
So many miracles and lives you’ve changed
And this world repays you how?
With all this pain

(Brad Paisley)
As they nail me to this tree
Just know the Father waits for me
(Sara Evans)
God how can this be your will?
To have your son and my son killed?

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry – James 1: 19 (NIV)

This verse serves to remind us to be careful in everything we say. That we should think before saying things or before talking to other people especially when problems are being resolved.

When we are trying to resolve problems with people, more often with our loved ones, we should always be calm and think that we should avoid hurting them by the way we talk and the things we say should always reflect that we still love them inspite of our differences.

Let the poem below by C.A. Lufburrow be our guide…

The Echo

I shouted aloud and louder

While out on the plain one day;

The sound grew faint and fainter

Until it had died away.

My words had gone forever.

They left no trace or track,

But the hills nearby caught up the cry

And sent an echo back.

I spoke a word in anger

To one who was my friend,

Like a knife it cut him deeply,

A wound that was hard to mend.

That word, so thoughtlessly uttered,

I would we could both forget,

But its echo lives and memory gives

The recollection yet.

How many hearts are broken,

How many friends are lost

By some unkind word spoken

Before we count the cost!

But a word or deed of kindness

Will repay a hundred fold,

For it echoes again in the heart of men

And carries a joy untold.

Let us live with the love of God in our hearts. God bless you all.

They say he looks like his father from whom he got his name Dexter. Yesterday we celebrated his birthday, Micaella’s birthday and our anniversary…tipid…We ate at Steakhouse…eat all you can. Thank God our car was fixed in the right time. God is really good.

Kyle is closer to his father than me…He looks up to him…That is why i see him as the child in the song “I wanna be just like you”. This was the video I posted a few weeks ago for Father’s day.

Kyle really dances very well…many of our friends notice it and i believe that he will also become a song leader someday.

Like Micaella, Kyle is also blogging at www.pambata.com and you can have a much better view of his drawings there. Below is an example of his drawing. I liked it so much…He did this when he was younger.

I pray that God will continue to bless you, Kyle, with wisdom coming from Him…and that you will grow up to be a good man with the people around you who love you so much.
