Steam For Android And iOS Comes Out Of Beta

A week ago, Valve launched their Steam app for mobile devices, and the Steam app was available on iOS and Android OS. The app is now avialable for everyone, and take note, this is not BETA anymore. As long as you have a Steam account, you can now use the Steam App on your Android and iOS devices, as long as you have a Steam account.

“With the free Steam app for Android, you can participate in the Steam community wherever you go. Chat with your Steam friends, browse community groups and user profiles, read the latest gaming news and stay up to date on unbeatable Steam sales and paid reviews.”

Apple Changes iPhone 4S Reservations In Hong Kong

iPhone 4S is huge in Hong Kong and a lot of people have become unauthorised resellers of this latest offering from Apple. And the result is the prices are higher from these profit-conscious individuals, which put regular customers at a disadvantage. To rectify the situation, Apple has unveiled their own system which will require an individual to go to a specific website if he/she is interested to buy one. He/she needs to fill up a form to enter his/her personal data with ID number. It’s like there will be no longer be a first come first served basis. It is like a lottery-style, and everybody gets an equal chance in getting the new iPhone 4S.

Apple Final Cut Pro X Update 10.0.3

Apple announced today that a new update will start to roll out for Final Cut Pro X. It is version 10.0.3 which will bring with new features to the video editing software. Additional features include multicam editing, new tools for editing, and will allow you to sync clips from your shoot via audio waveforms, time and date, or timecode. Other features include a beta of broadcast monitoring, one-step chroma key, edge adjustment and light wrap. Apple Appeals iPad Trademark Ruling In China

A year ago, Apple lost their case to obtain the iPad trademark in China. Today, the company filed an appeal to get the “iPad” trademark in China, which was owned by a company called Proview. Proview owned lots of iPad trademarks in countries including Taiwan, where these trademarks were sold to Apple which is why Apple is claiming that they should have the trademark in China too. I wonder if Apple will overturn the courts ruling this time.

Valve has released the company’s first ever mobile app for its Steam platform, and it is the Steam Mobile which has versions for both Apple’s iOS and Android. Apple Has Paid $4 Billion To App Developers

We have reported Apple’s record sales of their iPhone and iPad just recently and now Apple has announced that they have paid $4 Billion in total to developers of applications for their iOS platform. A year ago, it was just over $1 billion in revenue, which has jumped to $2.5 billion by the summer of 2011, and now, it’s at $4 billion paid to application developers. Apple will get 30 percent share from all revenue for apps sold on the companies app stores. Meaning, if they have paid over $ billion to those developers, Devs’ earnings would be around $5.71 billion, while Apple has made around $1.71 billion.

Apple’s iCloud Hits 85 Million Users

Just recently, we have heard that Apple sold in millions of devices in its most recent quarter, wherein they launched the new iPhone 4S, as well as the iCloud. Just so you know, the iCloud is the brand’s online cloud service which is the successor of their previous service MobileMe. It allows you to access your email, and back up your files online. iCloud was launched last October of 2011, and as per Apple, there are now more than 85 million users of iCloud service. I wonder how it will fair this year?

Apple TV Starting To Become Popular

It seems that the Apple TV is becoming more and more popular these days. Apple has just announced that they have sold over 1.4 million Apple TV devices quarter 4 of 2011. All in all, there were like 4.2 million Apple TV devices sold as of this writing, whereinone third of it were bought in the last quarter of 2011. Apple is said to pull the wraps off the new Apple TV device some time this year and rumors are saying that it will be an HDTV and will make use of Apple’s voice activated virtual assistant, Siri. Let’s just have to wait and see.

iTunes U iPad And iPhone App

After the recent launch of the new iBooks 2 and iBooks Author, Apple unveiled their iTunes U service for their iOS devices: iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. This app was designed to work like the iTunes U for the Mac or PC. This app will provide the students educational content from top schools, and provide access to complete course references and inforamtion. It is now available over at the app on Apple’s range of iOS devices.

“The all-new iTunes U app enables students anywhere to tap into entire courses from the world’s most prestigious universities,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “Never before have educators been able to offer their full courses in such an innovative way, allowing anyone who’s interested in a particular topic to learn from anywhere in the world, not just the classroom.”

The iTunes U app is free to download and is made to be compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.
