I love this Android phone! I can download lots of useful applications, games and free audiobook and ebooks. I can even download movies! Last weekend, I spent my all my time reading Nicholas Sparks’ novels. I am honestly not a fan of stories that often has tragic twists and sad endings so I didn’t like some of his writings, except A WALK TO REMEMBER. Maybe because I watched its movie adaptation first and surprisingly fell in love with it or rather, fell in love with the lead casts – Mandy Moore and Shane West. I love every bit of that movie – from the soundtrack to filming location etc. I read they shot the filming in North Carolina (check out Southport nc real estate if you’re planning to move in North Carolina). I like to live in that part of the USA. The weather seems nice and it looks very homey. I read Dawson’s Creek and Nights of Rhodante were both shot there.

Ok, back to AWTR, this novel is definitely on my Top 20 favorites of all time. I would have loved it if Jamie didn’t die but the story probably would be boring and wouldn’t have a nice ending at all.

I wish we have Winter, Spring and Fall seasons here too! I like Winter so I enjoy playing with snow and learn how to snowboard; Spring so I can take pictures of those pretty flowers and trees blooming in multitude of colors; And Fall so I can go out and have fun horseback riding as I wear my equestrian apparel like this:

Muahahaha. Seriously, why we only get to enjoy 2 seasons here in the Philippines? Sunny and Rainy. I wish there were more!

Planning a class reunion require a tremendous amount of time and attention. There are a lot of things to plan ahead – budget, promotion, venue, catering etc.

Personally, the biggest challenge for me is the invitation and promotion. It takes more than just email invite or FB PM. You have to get their commitment and make sure they will come to show their support. My friend Lala, one of my co-admins, had to go through house-to-house to invite our batchmates.

2nd challenge is the budget. How much is the registration fee? Who will be the sponsors? How much money to allocate for food, giveaways and prizes?

Because we have very limited budget, some of us (admins), had to shell out money to help. I was the one in-charge of the giveaway and loot bags. 2 things I had to consider when choosing what to give away:

Something that is useful and affordable.

It has to be within my budget since I had to prepare 50 loot bags, so I went to 168 in Divisoria to get ideas. I walked and walked, inquired and weighed things carefully. There were a lot of items to choose from:

- personalized mugs
- picture frames
- funny tee shirts
- slippers
- keychains

I ended up buying a pen and key holder. It’s useful and really affordable! We packed it in a brown paper bag with some candies and other stuff (pin, pencils and notebooks), it’s cute! I think they liked it. Well, I hope they liked it. Pictures will be posted later.

So when planning a reunion giveaway on a limited budget, my one advice to you is to go to Divisoria!

Disappointing!

I’m sure you all have heard the news…I’d like to stay neutral because clearly, lahat may mali – from Cebu Pacific, to security guards down to CCTV.

I think this was what happened, Mon being aggressive and hot-tempered may have pushed or maybe even punched Raymart when the latter tried to confiscate his cellphone. Eh komo action star yun isa, hindi magpapa-agrabyado yun.

Worst is, sumabay pa sa gulo yun guy in pink and Claudine, tuloy mukhang nambugbog sila ng matanda. Napaka-cheap talaga ni Claudine. Walang class! Hindi talaga nabibili ang good manners and right conduct. Akala nya naman, sya lang ang inagrabyado ng Cebu Pacific. Ayan kasi ang hihilig sa PISO FARE! Mwahahaha

Napakabilis uminit ng ulo ng mga to! Dapat sa kanila, i-enroll lahat sa ANGER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM.

My kitchen floor is getting flooded from water coming from our sink. It’s causing me a lot of stress since I have to mop the floor several times a day. I checked the pipes underneath and looks like it’s leaking, it needs major repair. We need to replace the metal hose with new ones ASAP before everything collapses. Argh stress! I don’t know anyone offering plumbing services around QC. I have no idea how much they’ll cost, but I hope not a lot! If you guys know any plumbing services, fast and reliable, do comment below! I need help ASAP! Thanks!

I barely noticed my father growing older. He’s still fit, and still capable to do a lot of things, but the last time I went home for a short visit in the barrio, he’s become thin and lines are clearly visible on both sides of his face.

Thank you God for blessing me a father who’s responsible and works hard at any thing. I am proud to say that he doesn’t smoke and drink alcohol. I haven’t seen him puff a cigar, not one time. And he is really kind and cool. I wish he’ll stay healthy for a long long time.

Other than clothes, I don’t remember giving my father any special gift, so this year, I am planning to spoil him, maybe not with flashy material things since he’s not into that, maybe he’d like gift baskets for dad which includes, shaving cream and razor, some tools etc. Or maybe a pair of Nike rubber shoes since he likes to play basketball. My father’s new hobby is fishing…so maybe a fish rod or fishing lures that he can use will make him really happy. He also loves pizza soo much! I still remember his delighted face when I treated him in Pizza Hut for the first time, he was really happy! So when there’s a chance, I’ll bring home 2 boxes of pizza when I go home.

Soo many gift ideas, but I know what he really really likes to receive from us but I’m not capable to give it yet, maybe in a few years time, so my prayer is for God to bless me in all aspects so I may become a blessing to my parents.

From today onwards, I will stop complaining about getting old, many, many people do not have this privilege. Thank you God for another year added to my life!

This is the indoor plant I got from Ruthie as a present a few months back. I forgot what it’s called, but it looks very much alike Aloe Vera plants. It sits on my office table, and serves as my stress absorber.

I really like this indoor plant because it’s super low maintenance – I only water it once a week and it does not need sunlight – it’s amazing how it can survive! Seriously, what kind of plants doesn’t need water and sunlight, right? Yet, it continues to grow, look, my plant now has 5 tiny stems on the sides, I need to transfer them in a bigger planter from SimplyPlanters.com so they can grow bigger.

Another thing that I like about having indoor plant is because they make my office table look more attractive, and they also provide a soothing effect. It must be the colors. When my eyes are already tired from staring at my computer for hours, I just take a look at my plant and it feels like 1/8 of my stress is gone. 

This week, the contestants will be singing 2 hits songs – modern and classic. Exciting!

Seems like everyone is waiting for Jessica’s performance today, after what happened last week. I took a short nap today and dreamt about her the whole time hahaha. She was wearing a nice sunshine yellow gown, and singing songs from Beyonce and Aretha Franklin.

I am seriously considering of getting a pet one of these days – either a bird, fish, cat or a dog. What do you think is the best pet for a single woman like me? Well, I really really like cute doggies…but I heard they’re a little expensive. Even it’s clothes, food, pet services,  and dog accessories are expensive. I would need lots and lots of petsmart coupons for that!

To give you a heads up, I don’t travel much but I spend quite a large amount of hours in the office. I don’t like pets sticking their tounges out, and wiping them on my face. During rest days, I like spending my days sleeping or watching movies in my room, alone. I want a low maintenance pet. I rarely cook food for myself, so I hope I don’t have to cook special meals for my pet. I don’t like hearing loud barks bec I get nervous easily with loud noises. I like a pet that doesn’t bite. I like the ones that behaves well. I don’t like my pet messing around the house.

It wil be very hard for me to pet a doggie, you think? I guess my only option is a fish or a bird, but I want my pet to be fluffy and cuddly…maybe it’s best if I’ll just get myself a dog plushie, no?
