This portrait was done ONLY in Adobe Illustrator CS4. I had done so far for some Photo realistic portrait illustration especially to Korean Actresses. This time I decided to draw Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s portrait. Original idea is for a present for my younger brother Myo Kyaw Htun’’s birthday. But it took so long because of other commercial design projects and I couldn’t concentrate to finish it for his birthday.

It is NOT easy to do Photo Realistic Portrait in Adobe Illustrator. Even people can say “it’s just a copy” .. Yes .. a copy but it’s not that easy.

Then, I looked around some of her photos from Google search. There are variety of photos but I think this one is unique because of her smiles. Then I was curious for who belonged to that photo. I mean a company or a photographer. I found a Photographer name “Thierry Falise” as a credit in some photos. I did search his name and found his contacts. He is well known photographer because of his works in Southeast Asia region. Fortunately, he is living in Bangkok. I called to him for his permission. I explained what I wanted to do for it. I emailed him with my previous portraits to make him impressed for my works. Finally, he gave me a permission.

I took more than a month now to finish it. Anyway, this is the day to show off what I have done for my portfolios.

Hence, I don’t want to mention how much I inspire for Aung San Suu Kyi because I think no need to explain about her because almost everyone on earth knows about her.

MARS THEME FACEBOOK WALLPAPER

I made it for facebook theme wallpaper. It took so long for texture manipulation to get special soil and sand (like the surface of Mars) texture. The text “facebook” was done in Adobe Illustrator. I used both Adobe Illustrator for texts and Adobe Photoshop for texture manipulation. There are three resolutions available for 1920 x 1200, 1680 x 1050 and 1280 x 800.

iPhone 4G Concept Design

This is my conceptual design for iPhone 4G. I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for this concept design. I want to coin whether my concept can match with rumored product iPhone 4G at upcoming Apple’s WWDC show. There were so many iPhone 4G design concepts but I didn’t like those. Even there was a leaking news about iPhone 4G but the design seemed look so backward if you knew well about the revolution of design concepts. Anyway, I don’t want to point out or criticize for that but I do my own one. I am happy for my own concept design.

DagonNet Internet Cafe Logo

This is my latest logo design for DagonNet Internet Cafe. The net cafe owner selected this logo after brainstroming a couple of design choices and idea for it. First of all, I liked to do the stylish style for it because should be industrial design and aqua type rather than traditional flat type one. Anyway, I had done flat type too for it.

Golden Swift Logo

Golden Swift is based in Myanmar and mainly their business runs services for Gold, Silver Rolling & Jewelery Polishing Services. A friend of mine introduced me with this client and they came to see me during their visit to Bangkok for developing the new idea for logo design. As you see there are many business logos related to Swift and Swallow birds are similar each other. After talking a few hours I decided to do leap frog design for their logo to be looked like a Swift but more abstract. There will be “g” and “S” to make more meaningful to their name “Golden Swift” inside the body of a abstract bird “swift”. It’s hard to see buy I want you to know what is the meaning of leap frog logo design.
