Happy Wednesday Everyone!

How are you doing today? It's overcast here but the weather is beautiful. I can't seem to get myself to do anything productive. I've had a little pain for the past few days and so I am trying to take it easy. Today marks 4 weeks since I had my hysterectomy. It was a partial by laproscopic, for those wondering. I feel like I am doing pretty well considering the circumstances. I'm super excited because my kids get out of school in one week. YAAAYY! Our pool will be ready to swim this Saturday so bring on the TENNIS, the SWIMMING and the FUN! I've decided to drive my kids to Karlee's this Summer and then out to Utah. My sister, Christy, is flying out so I don't have to drive by myself. So much fun! Only 6 weeks to go for that!

Today, as I was "resting" in my office, I pulled out my old Stampin' Up! stamp set called Roses in Winter and made this card. I used SU 2011-2013 In Colors for the ink and the cardstock. Hope you enjoy!

Mother's Day Post

Hi All!

I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day! I'm going to be completely and totally honest with you. Mine was good and I love my family but I was a hot mess! For some reason, I was over emotional and felt very overwhelmed. My family must love me because they have been able to see so many ups and downs with me over the past 2 months. I hope they realize that life is not what you see on the TV and that as a mother I am very real.

I wanted to do something for my kids so I decided to make them each a special card on Monday with some goodies and surprise them before they went to school. In the cards I let them know how special they are to me and how lucky I am to be their mother. Here are the BASIC cards I made.

I have more to share with you so please come back soon! I made to more sets of cards that are soooo super cute!!

Also, I haven't heard back from the 3 people I randomly chose to purchase my sets of stamps. I have e-mailed all of them. If I don't hear back by tomorrow I will go ahead and choose others.

Relief Society Invitations

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Today was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day today! I was able to sleep in until 10:00 am (thanks honey!) and then when I got up I took my 3 boys to the Farmer's Market, Academy Sports (to get knew tennis shoes for tennis), and then to Sam's Club to pick up some goodies for Relief Society tomorrow. We are doing something special for all the mom's in our ward. When I got home I was so exhausted that I put my head on my pillow and slept deeply for over 2 hours! My body still needs lots of rest but my head doesn't realize it. After I got up I was able to garden a little outdoors while 4 of my sweet 5 children played outside. This new hobby is so wonderful in the way that I get to be with my kids so much more plus I still get to do all of my other hobbies. I have been thinking of the Parable of the Talents lately in the New Testament (Holy Bible). The Lord will give us as many talents as we want to develop but that doesn't mean he will take away our other talents. Sometimes I am afraid to try new things because I think then I can't do all the other things I love. Not true at all! Plus, I am gaining a whole new respect for plants! LOL! I will share pictures of my jungle at the bottom of this post. This was all done since my surgery but it has been the most peaceful & relaxing thing to do.

We also, as a Relief Society Presidency, wanted to do a fun activity for the Sisters this month. One that didn't involve any lessons, talks, etc. We are calling it our fluff activity! LOL! Just opening and closing prayers with food and friendship in the middle! Can't beat that! Here are the 72 invitations I made tonight to pass out tomorrow. Notice how I stamped and didn't use my Cricut on these ones? I still love my Cricut but it is nice doing something else for a project.

Here are my 3 boys at the Farmer's Market. All we got today was some Asparagus.

You will see how how my newest hobby is kind of going a bit crazy BUT I am enjoying the beautiful outdoors so much more now than ever!

Strawberry Card Sets

Hi Guys!

How is Friday going for you all? I took my kids to school today then came home and climbed back into bed until 11:30! YIKES! It's like I have a good day, then a rest day, etc.... Today I did a little gardening but mainly just hung out and let my kids play outside. It was so beautiful here! I love this weather! I'm not looking forward to the hot temperatures of Summer but I am looking forward to my tomato plants (all 21 of them!) to ripen with the heat.

The other night I made a bunch of fun Strawberry cards using lots of Stampin' Up product! I am so happy that I am using my stamps again. I seriously didn't know how much I missed them until now! I hope you enjoy these. I was going to try to make a video showing how I made these but, alas, my tripod is still in my husband's car. Ooops!!

I also wanted to make these cards so that they could be used for any occasion or that I could quickly stamp something on the top right or left as needed. I am making these into two gift sets for friends who just had birthdays last week, too.

Hello Everyone!

Can I tell you that I feel 100 times better today than yesterday? Oh, the difference a day makes! Today seemed like an almost normal day for me. Got up with the kids, helped them get ready, sent them off to school, and then took one to an ortho appointment. I was then able to go to lunch with a new friend in my ward/church who lost her husband almost 4 weeks ago in a car accident. She just moved into our ward and was only there 1 full Sunday before it happened. She has 5 small children (ages ranging from 2 years to 10 years) and she is expecting their 6th child in August. If you would keep her and her family in your prayers I know that she would appreciate that. It was nice to see her today and to talk about normal, everyday stuff with her. This has been a very hard trial for her but I can see that her faith in the Lord is very clear. She knows that she will see her husband again and that they will be together forever as a family someday. She just needs to make it through this life on earth first. Since I am the Relief Society President in my ward (I am LDS aka Mormon, in case you are wondering), I was able to be with her from the first phone call to now. I was also able to witness all the many hands that silently helped her out those first few hours. Ladies that came over to quietly clean, friends that came over to watch her little children, food that was brought in, lots of hugs & comfort offered, etc. Although, this is a tragic event in her life, today she told me that she did recognize the blessings in it all. This experience made me reflect on the trials in my life. It really comes down to how we deal with what we are given. If our outlook is positive (although it is totally okay to grieve and be sad), our burdens will be lighter, and of course, if we rely on our Savior to help us through it, we can do it!

Okay, I am actually announcing the winner to the stamp set giveaway! Are you so proud of me? I am! I can't believe that I have been in my craft room every night for a week now and even better..... BLOGGING! I love it! My kids have missed me upstairs with them as they fall asleep, too!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Well, actually it hasn't been a totally happy Tuesday for me if you want to know the truth. I went grocery shopping for the first time and when I finished I had an emotional breakdown for 30 minutes in my car. Do you like how I'm real with you? I'm not normally a cry baby but I've been through a lot these past 2 months and something triggered my breakdown today. I'm so much better now. My husband came home for lunch and gave me a big hug. That's kind of all I needed. If you don't know what happened to me, you can read about it HERE. What I learned from my ordeal today is that we should never judge anyone by looking at them. Obviously the cashier when I was checking out didn't know what I was going through and so many times in my life I probably have been insensitive to someone who was going through a problem as well. It's just a good idea to never judge. Period! Also, I learned as I was shedding my tears in the car, that I have a Savior who does know what I am going through. He is who understands it all and is really the only one who can truly comfort me. I am grateful for the Atonement and through my trials I am getting a much better understanding of what it really means for me.

Okay, enough about my day! YIKES! Tomorrow will be better, I just know it!

Last week, somehow, I ordered a bunch of stuff online. (Note to self.... Never have access to a computer and credit card while recovering from a major surgery and on pain medication. Not a good combination!) Anyway, I seemed to have ordered 2 of the same stamp set from Papertrey Ink! LOL! Instead of trying to return it, I thought I would give it away to one of my awesome online friends. The funny thing is that it is a Get Well Soon type of stamp set called Comfort Food! Hee Hee! Here's a picture of what it looks like. I'll probably pick a winner this weekend but you know me, it might be early next week. It all depends on how I'm feeling. Hello Everyone!

Thought I'd check in tonight before I head off to bed. I've decided to pull all of my stamp sets out of their cubbies and put them on my shelves where I can see them! I have missed my stamps so much. Tonight I went through what I have left from when I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator years ago. I kept my favorites and made a pile that I will sell at a really good price. I'll make a list later and let you all know. I might do them in 2 bundles. I believe I have 32 SU sets to sell and some of them are hard to find sets like Chore Chart, etc. They have all been removed from their wood blocks and unmounted (all by ME!) Anyway, here are pictures so far. I am limited still on what I can do physically, so this took me a bit of time. I had to make sure I didn't lift anything too heavy.

These are all of My Pink Stamper sets. Boo Hoo that they are all retired now! I do have to say, that I made the right decision retiring when I did. I cannot imagine going through what I am now while owning my very busy business still.

Here is the stack that I am going to sell. They aren't perfect and most have been used but they will make some stamper super happy!

A little update on me. I got back in town on Saturday night and I was pretty much wiped out until this evening. I think all that walking in the airport did me in. Although I am now paying for it, I am so glad that I went. Just having that quality time with Bryan was worth it. We were able to enjoy each others company even if I wasn't feeling well during the trip. It also was a good reminder of why I married him and how I am so grateful to be sealed to him eternally and that we can be together forever. Next month we will celebrate our 17th anniversary. Oh, how time flies!

Hello from Utah & a Shout Out!

Hello my Pink Friends!

Just wanted to check in for a minute all the way from Utah! My husband and I had this little trip planned before everything happened with me, and we decided that I was well enough to travel on a direct 2 hour flight. It's been nice seeing my mom and sister since they were not able to be with me during my traumatic experience. We travel back home tomorrow but it was a nice break. I hung out in my hotel room and rested while my husband spent most of the day at a Convention. I'm looking forward to being back in my own bed tomorrow night, although we lucked out and found a good hotel which we will stay at again when we visit.

If you've never been to Utah, here are some pictures I took. The mountains have always amazed me, ever since I first visited Utah when I was 20 years old. Hope you are all having a nice weekend! I'll visit with you guys very soon!

Simple Graduation Cards

Well, hello everyone!! I'm still here, can you believe it? I've tried to take it easy today but that didn't work. I was feeling better this morning so I didn't lay down as much as I should have. I even went shopping with some of my kids. Of course, they had to push the cart and I walked VERY slow, but we did it! My boys needed new shoes soooo bad! All 3 of them had holes in their shoes. So sad for them and they have been so patient with their mommy.

I also, with the help of my husband and my 3 boys, was able to transplant about 6 of my tomato plants to my 5 gallon buckets. All I had to do was put the plant in the bucket which was super easy! I promise that I didn't do any lifting with that! I am really trying to heal faster so I am trying to be super careful. My son, with my supervision, drilled the hole in the bottom of the bucket, then my husband put a layer of rocks on the bottom of each bucket, then my two little boys helped even out the rocks, finally my 11 year old added all the garden soil for me! I just had to plant and water.

We have around 4 young women graduating from high school this year from my ward (congregation) and I wanted to make them a little card to put a gift card in. These are super simple but I wanted to do something with the Chevron pattern Cuttlebug folder that I found in my stash! They came out with it years ago before it was even in fashion! LOL!

Happy Monday Everyone!

More blogging therapy for me! This year I decided to start some indoor seeds to transplant outdoors when the weather gets warmer. My biggest success so far has been my tomato seedlings. Tomorrow some of them get transplanted in 5 gallon buckets (with the help of my 11 year old son!) I don't know if any of you are like myself, but I have found that gardening and starting something from a seed is very calming and rewarding. I cannot wait until my family and friends can eat the tomatoes that we started from itsy bitsy seeds! We will see how they turn out my first year. Here are the different pictures I have taken these past 8 weeks.

Hope you all have a fantastic night! I got the chance to put my little boys to bed tonight and last night. I have missed doing that. The stairs in my house are a killer, so I try not to go up and down too often. I am working on some graduation cards for some girls in my church. I'll share them with you soon, depends on how they turn out.

Hello my dear friends!

Two posts in two days has got to be my newest record! I told you how therapeutic my craft room has been for me, right?? I have enjoyed my time these past few days hanging out in My Pink Loft with my children. It was just like old times when they were itty bitty kids getting into everything! LOL! Now they are all old enough to enjoy it as much as I do.

Today I woke up feeling a bit better so I thought I would attempt to go to my church. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the Mormon church (www.lds.org) but our church is 3 hours a week. Kind of long to sit through if you've just had surgery, but I missed it! I decided that I would feel it out and probably just stay for the first hour, Sacrament. I ended up staying for two hours plus the hour before for a Leadership meeting. Let me tell you that I was more than ready to go home after all of that. I loved what I heard but my body wasn't ready to sit that long. I got home and instantly jumped in bed. I guess I have to listen to my body a little bit better and not overdo it, which is very hard for me!

Here are some of the cards that I've made over the past few days. I just sit in a comfy chair and at least one of my kids joins me on another chair and crafts, too. It's nice to have that special time with them.

Our family was so blessed, as we received a lot of meals the first 10 days after surgery! The people in my church are so generous. Even after I told them we would be fine, they insisted. Who is going to say NO to a homemade meal?? So, with all of that service to our family, I had a lot of Thank You cards to make! I made 6 of the following design.

This next one I only made two of. I missed stamping and coloring in so I thought I would give it a shot since it's been so long! I also put in a fairly good size Stampin' Up! order in with my demonstrator yesterday. I cannot wait for the new catalog to come out soon!!

And this last one I actually filmed a video of! I didn't do any of the filming today, it was all done Friday and Saturday. I hope you enjoy it! Here is the card, followed by the video.

Hello Everyone!

So much has gone on in the past week and a half that this is the first chance I've had to post my daughter's birthday pictures.

I'm so grateful for my little Madie, she is my sweet little baby girl still even though she is now 13. I remember when she was a baby and how easy she was. Hardly made a sound and smiled all the time. She is still a little sweetie but has more of a spunky personality these days, LOL!! She'll know what I mean, right Madie??!!

Here's an update on what's been going on with me! I found out I was pregnant at the end of February when Karlee was visiting but only a few days later I started having problems and thought I miscarried. This went on for almost 5 weeks... thinking I'm pregnant...... complications.... then thinking I was losing the baby. It was finally determined through my last ultrasound and blood test that I was miscarrying. I was 9 weeks pregnant. The doctor couldn't find the baby either through the ultrasound and thought I had a Blighted Ovum. We finally scheduled an appointment for Wednesday, April 17, to go ahead and get my body back to normal. For some crazy reason, my body still thought it was totally pregnant even though I was, in fact, miscarrying. When the doctor put me under for a 15 minute procedure, little did we all know that he would be performing an hour and a half emergency hysterectomy surgery. Turns out that I had an Eptopic pregnancy that was about ready to rupture. Very scary and had I had made my appointment for a day later, I might not be here today. I am grateful for a loving father in heaven who knows me and directs me. This was all very inspired. Now I am recovering from major surgery. It's been about a week and a half and I am feeling a little better. It should take a full 6-8 weeks until I am back to normal. I am fine with that. I am just thankful that I am still here to raise my 5 children and be with my husband on this earth.

Hello Everyone!

I know it has been so long. Honestly, I have not been into blogging at all. Too many things going on with my kids and life that I haven't had time to go up to my craft room lately. Maybe I'll have more time over the Summer when the kids are home from school. I hope you all are doing GREAT! I miss you all!

Today my oldest baby girl turns 15!! I can still remember her arrival. She came almost 2 weeks late and it seemed like sooooo long to wait! Then when she came we didn't know what to do with her! I remember waking every time she made any sound at night just to make sure she was still breathing. We have come a long way since then. I'm so proud of Katelyn. She has really turned into a young lady over the past year. So hard to think that she will be going off to college in just a little over 3 years! YIKES!! Here are some pictures of her......

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Today as I was about to prepare dinner I noticed all 3 of my boys were out front playing so nicely together. I grabbed my camera and quickly snapped some fun shots. Then the thought occurred to me.... Is there a such a thing as "Live Scrapbooking"? If not, I think I have just invented a fun new idea that I will use often!! I uploaded the pictures within a few minutes after I took them and made a quick digital scrapbook page. One of my thoughts was that I am forgetting so many of the details behind my pictures. I am not organized enough to remember to write down things in a notebook for all of my pictures. I am still a chronological scrapbooker, of course, but this is a nice way I can make some pages while I still remember why I took the pictures!

BTW - Do you LOVE our Oklahoma blizzard in the background? We were supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow last night. Woke up, and had a dusting, which melted in a couple of hours. Welcome to Oklahoma! Of course, the North Western part got plenty of snow for ALL of the state! YIKES! My kids woke up expecting to have the day off and I, ~~enthusiastically~~ lovingly, sent them out the door. :)

(I used a Digital Kit from Die Cuts with a View called Skateboard. I believe I got it from Jessicasprague.com but I can't remember.)

I print my pages out through an online company www.scrappingsimply.com.

As I am scrapbooking my current pictures I am also scrapbooking from where I am chronologically. So I am working on February 2013 and October 2009. Here is a page from that folder.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

First, I want to start by thanking those of you who left me such nice comments on my last post. I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately with all that I have on my plate and when I expressed it to you guys I felt nothing but support. Thank you for that. I feel your love and friendship. So, with that said..... I thought I would share my Valentine's Day with you all.

Today is Sunday, so after church I usually take time to do a little family history work, also known as scrapbooking! I have been digitial scrapbooking a lot lately, simply because it is faster and also, I can make discs for all my children when they move out. I use Photoshop Elements. Jessicasprague.com has a lot of great classes you can take if you are brand new to digi scrapbooking. I learned a lot from YouTube tutorials as well. Here are some pages that I made today. Love to you all! I hope you are doing well. I really and truly appreciate your comments. Sometimes when I blog, I feel like I am talking to myself. LOL! I'm sure you feel like that, too.

Valentine's Goodie Bags!

Hello Everyone!

Long time, no post! Right??? I honestly just haven't been in the blogging mood. I'm not sure what's going to happen to My Pink Stamper right now. I have so many things going on and just being a mom is taking up so much time. There is a season to everything we do and I am thinking that my blog season might be passing soon. That sounds so sad, huh?? I will never leave you guys or forget you but you might not hear from me nearly as much as you have in the past. I'll try to share when I can but can't promise much.

The flu that I had for about 2 weeks just knocked me out. When I recovered, I realized that a lot of things in my house have been passed up. I am trying to spend more time preparing meals for my family and making a peaceful, clean, safe place for them.

I made some goodie bags last night for my boys' Valentine parties tomorrow. Hope you like them!! I used Create a Critter and one of my Punny-licious stamp sets. I will try to share more pics from our Valentine's Day activities tomorrow. Remember that I always do a PINK breakfast for my kids! I already bought everything. This year I am going to add heart-shaped pancakes to the mix! I am also making a special dinner for them, too!

Hello Friends!

I hope you are having a GREAT Sunday! Mine has been very spiritually uplifting. We had a great church service which was focused around the topic of Prayer. Then after church, the missionaries came over for dinner, to share a message with us, and then my husband got to go out on visits with them this evening. I've just been hanging out with the kids while they play. It's almost bedtime! Yaaay! I'm ready to start a new week with not being sick!! The last two weeks have been super rough as I have had the flu for almost 12 days. So happy to be almost 100% healed. YAAY!!

Tonight I was looking at videos on our Church's website, www.lds.org, and found one I would like to share with all of you. As, you and I, are all children of a Father in Heaven who loves us. :) Have a great week!!

Well, it's been a crazy week already. On Sunday, one of my little boys came down with a fever, on Monday night my other 2 boys came down with it. Tuesday morning, I came down with it along with my 3 boys who are still sick!! Good news is that I got my test results back and mine is only an upper respiratory infection so I am on a z-pack. We will find out this afternoon what is wrong with my boys.

On a happy note, I pick up my sister, Christy, from the airport this afternoon! Then Karlee arrives tomorrow. Woooo hooo!! I don't even know what we are doing yet! Can you believe I am going to be 40 tomorrow??? Neither can I!!

My awesome neighbor found out we were sick yesterday and brought us all these goodies including the homemade chicken noodle soup. She is sooooooo sweet!!

They made me wear this at my drs office yesterday. Fun!! So claustrophobic, though.

Hello Everyone!

I wish I had a lot to post tonight but I really don't. Just wanted to write a quick update for you so you don't think I fell off the face of the earth. LOL! I've been using my time this past week to get some much needed chores done and try to prepare my house for this week. My sister flies in on Wednesday and Karlee flies in on Thursday to celebrate my 40th birthday with me. YAAAYYY!! Only 4 days left in my 30's! My husband has something planned for us 3 girls on Friday to celebrate my birthday. I wonder what it could be?? I'm so curious but of course, I can't get it out of him.

On another note, I have been digital scrapbooking lately. Here are some pages I completed. A friend of mind gave me a fabulous idea! She is putting all of her digital scrapbook pages on discs to give to her children when they move out. I think that is WONDERFUL!!

Good morning everyone!!

I hope you have had a good week so far. Mine has been busy but great! I've had some wonderful service opportunities through my church and the Relief Society Organization that I am a part of. Nothing helps you get out of yourself like serving another person. :)

Today is going to be a lazy day. I can tell. It's rainy outside and I am BLAH!! Two of my children have ortho appointments throughout the day, so I have decided that I am going to fill in the rest of my day with scrapbooking! I am doing traditional scrapbooking and digital scrapbooking now. I rotate months. I will print out a few months at a time and then if I have a big month filled with a lot of events, I will digital scrap that month. That way I am still satisfied with the paper crafting but am able to also get pages done when I cannot pull my paper supplies out or I am not at home. On New Year's Eve I went through all my 16+ years of scrapbook paper I have collected and organized it. I actually had a stack about 8-9 inches high of paper that I gave away to a friend who just got her first Cricut for Christmas and had very little supplies. I had been holding on to paper from the first Stampin' Up! release of patterned paper!! I figure, if I haven't used it yet, I'm probably not going to. LOL! I am VERY organized now with all my paper!! YAAAYY! Do you want to see it??

Hello Everyone!!

I had meant to post this last night but forgot to hit Publish! I wanted to share some fun journals that we handed out to the Sisters in my church. I taught the lesson in Relief Society this month and had the help of the full time missionaries. I am the Relief Society President in my ward and along with my counselors, we decided to have monthly goals in the year 2013. We handed out these journals so the women could personally write down their thoughts and inspiration in their daily lives regarding our monthly goal. Our January goal and theme is RESCUE. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (just in case you were wondering). :)

I ordered these 5x7 notebooks online from The Dollar Tree. They are the perfect size to fit in a church bag or a purse.
