Hello parents and welcome to our updated site! We hope you will enjoy the new platform.

We represent parents and children with disabilities exclusively. In addition to legal representation, our firm provides access to passionate and knowledgeable experts, who assist parents in navigating the complex maze of special education in public schools. We attend ARD meetings and work to help open doors, as well as assist in creating individualized programming for children with disabilities.

This blog is provided as an opportunity for parents to communicate with each other. We ask that parents do not use their children’s names when submitting a post.

As you navigate the site, please understand that you are part of a larger community in your endeavors. Your efforts are important and honorable. Education is critical for our children to someday build a life as an adult. No matter what a child’s disability may be, what matters is that the child has someone knowledgeable who will advocate for him/her.

At a recent summer training session Pete Wright, a nationally known attorney representing children with disabilities asked the audience if they could guess the number one factor that contributed to disabled children getting a proper education. Some guesses offered were: specific methodologies, OT, Speech, training, reading instruction, specific public schools, outside evaluations, etc… The answer he gave was enlightening. The one factor that determined the child getting an appropriate education-or not, was “The parent advocating”.
