Basic Etiquette on Social Media: Do’s & Don’ts People Often Overlook

2025-09-24T17:27:00.000-07:00

Social media connects us with friends, communities, and even strangers who share the same interests. But sometimes, in the rush of posting and scrolling, we forget that the online world also has its own etiquette. Just like in real life, how we behave online shapes how people see us.

Here are some do’s and don’ts that are often overlooked but can make a huge difference.

✅ Do’s

1. Think Before You Post

Not every thought deserves to be online. A follower once told me, “Sometimes silence is smarter than a status update.” And it’s true—posting with a cool head helps avoid regrets later.

2. Respect Different Opinions

One day I shared an article and got flooded with opposing comments. Instead of fighting back, I asked questions and listened. That turned an argument into a real discussion. Respect invites respect.

3. Give Credit Where It’s Due

Sharing memes, photos, or quotes? Mention the creator. It’s a small gesture, but it shows integrity and builds trust with your followers.

4. Spread Positivity

A simple “Congrats!” or “Stay strong!” under someone’s post can brighten their day. I still remember when a stranger left me kind words under a negative comment storm—it meant more than they probably realized.

❌ Don’ts

1. Don’t Feed the Trolls

Negative comments happen. I once had someone drop a rude reply just to get attention. Replying only gave them more fuel. The best strategy? Ignore, block, and move on.

2. Don’t Overshare Personal Drama

Yes, social media is for sharing—but too much detail about private conflicts can backfire. Remember: once it’s online, you can’t fully take it back.

3. Don’t Use ALL CAPS or Excessive Emojis 😡🔥🔥🔥

It might look funny, but to others it feels like you’re yelling. Keep your tone friendly and easy to read.

4. Don’t Ghost Your Audience

If you’ve built a community, try not to disappear without a word. A short update like “Taking a short break, see you soon!” shows you value your followers.

🌟 Final Thoughts

Social media isn’t just a platform—it’s a reflection of who we are. Practicing basic etiquette helps us build meaningful connections, avoid unnecessary drama, and leave a positive digital footprint.

At the end of the day, remember this: behind every profile is a real human being. Treat them the way you’d like to be treated.

✨ How to Make Your Social Media Profile More Attractive in 5 Steps

2025-09-23T16:04:00.000-07:00

In today’s digital era, your social media profile is basically your “face” online. People can instantly know who you are, what you’re into, and sometimes even judge your personality just by glancing at it. To make sure your profile stands out and doesn’t look too plain, here are 5 simple steps you can try.

1. Use a Clear & High-Quality Profile Picture

Your profile photo is the first thing people notice.

Tip: Choose a picture that’s clear, well-lit, and shows your natural smile. Avoid blurry shots or overly filtered images.
Example: On the MySpaceKoe blog, many articles talk about online games. If you’re a gamer, use a picture of you wearing gaming headphones—it instantly reflects your identity.

2. Write a Short but Meaningful Bio

Your bio is like a digital business card.

Tip: Keep it short with keywords that describe you best. Emojis can add personality too.
Example: “🎮 Gamer | ✍️ Blogger at MySpaceKoe | 🌐 Tech & networking enthusiast.”

3. Choose a Memorable Username

Your username is how people find you.

Tip: Make it short, unique, and consistent across platforms.
Example: If your blog is called MySpaceKoe, go with something like @myspacekoe or a catchy variation. That way, your blog readers can easily find you on social media.

4. Organize Your Feed with a Theme

A neat profile makes visitors want to stick around.

Tip: Pick a content theme (e.g., social media tips, gaming, or daily stories). Keep the tone and colors consistent.
Example: Since your blog often covers technology and games, you could regularly post game screenshots, app reviews, or motivational quotes about networking.

5. Engage Actively with Your Followers

An attractive profile isn’t just about looks—it’s also about how you interact.

Tip: Reply to comments, use polls, and spark discussions in your captions.
Example: Post questions like: “What’s the first online game that got you hooked?” or “Which social networking app is your go-to right now?”

🌟 Conclusion

Making your social media profile attractive is actually pretty simple: be consistent in showing who you are, what you love, and how you connect with others. By following these 5 steps, your profile won’t just be a digital showcase—it can become a doorway to new friendships, networks, and even bigger opportunities online.

Stay Connected With Your Customers Even in a Physically Disconnected World

2020-11-04T08:45:00.001-08:00

by LaxmanBala

In a world where customers are used to getting everything they need immediately, chatbots have already become a vital part of our daily lives. From paying utility bills to getting financial advice regarding important investments to interacting with favorite brands without browsing their websites — chatbots are at the vanguard of round-the-clock online customer service.

This level of superior customer service can not only result in customer retention but also overall profitability. Satisfied customers tend to stay associated with a company and even expand their investment, refer others, and – generally – agree to pay premiums rather than switching to a brand with whom they’re neither familiar nor comfortable. Both customer support chatbot and IT support chatbots bank on this phenomenon to boost a company’s sales and market performance via user experiences.

While older versions of chatbots relied on identifying keywords and solving only static, repetitive queries - modern chatbots improve customer service by a lot more. Advanced conversational AI support bots can now contextually converse with the user, creating an enriched, personalized, and compelling experience. They are designed to understand the intent behind a user's messages and even identify emotions. This has made it possible for chatbots to go from being just an additional support accessory to a powerful business tool that directly corresponds with end-customers across various touchpoints including web, mobile, WhatsApp, email, and virtual home assistants like Alexa.

The modern way to support customers

Traditional customer support services are plagued with issues like technical inconsistencies, inefficient practices, and sometimes, human error. These have given rise to customer complaints such as -

Difficulties in communicating with agents from offshore call centers

Lengthy wait and hold times

Repetitive call transfers

Never-ending automated self-service menus

Personalized experience: Chatbots can leverage conversation and transaction history of customers to provide hyper-personalized suggestions and interactive experiences.

Instant gratification: Customer queries are responded to or redirected almost immediately, making them reliable during times of emergencies. According to a survey, over 37% of people prefer customer service bots during emergencies. The efficiency achieved by having a chatbot in place can cut the average handling time of queries by 50% and reduce support costs by over 30%.

24/7 conversational support: With chatbots in place, customer service teams can provide not merely round-the-clock customer support, but also ensure high quality and consistency of responses. This ultimately leads to customer satisfaction and a reduction in the volume of repeat calls by as much as 40%.

Preference pattern recognition: Chatbot conversations have proven useful in gathering information from users and understanding a preference pattern. These insights can augment user data collected during their shopping and transactions. This allows the chatbots to provide intuitive suggestions.

Omnichannel integration: By integrating conversational AI, organizations can help customers get consistent responses across different channels, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, e-mail, website, and mobile apps. Further, this also ensures better conversation continuity, thereby reducing the need for customers to repeat their queries over and over.

Self-learning and building of databases: AI, in combination with machine learning, can teach itself and build databases on-top of the training data. It can learn, understand, improvise, and execute with a continually growing library of data.

Expand your audience outreach, boost your brand image, and augment customer satisfaction with zero-coding chatbot platforms. Reduce the training period and time-to-launch of your chatbot with pre-trained industry models that require minimal information input!

Many of these issues can now be addressed with the help of conversational AI. This is of vital importance given the physical distancing norms imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Incorporating AI-powered personal assistants across customer touchpoints can ensure a seamless service delivery even with support centers operating at limited capacity.

Gartner claimed long back that 25% of customer service and support operations would integrate chatbots across engagement channels by 2020. However, little was it expected that the adoption rate would grow so phenomenally. Today, experts forecast that over 53% of service organizations will adopt chatbots by the end of 2020, and these numbers are only increasing as the need for social distancing grows. In the new normal of the business landscape, augmented automation and remote workplaces are a testament to this growth. That said, the ultimate goal of chatbots in customer service is very fundamental—providing customers with instant and accurate responses.

Automate routine requests and outbound notifications to prioritize the things that matter

So how can chatbots improve customer service? What are the chatbot use cases applicable to business operations? Well, let’s begin with simple numbers. Advanced, well-trained chatbots can accurately and instantly respond to 80% of routine customer service questions. Their popularity has been soaring as the number of chatbot use cases increase day-by-day, and the millennials populate the customer base. 55% of respondents of a survey said that they want chatbots involved in the customer service process. And with chatbots becoming a critical stakeholder in the customer service game, repetitive questions become less of a hassle for human agents. Without the need to handle routine requests and send timely alerts/payment reminders/follow-ups, human agents can focus predominantly on handling complex problems effectively. Some popular chatbot uses include-

This is the era of conversational customer services

From automated messages to visual search, chatbots empower companies to better support customer needs along their journey.

Tailor new connections with chatbots

The apparent benefits that customer support chatbots bring to the table cannot be overestimated. By responding to most standard questions, conversational chatbots reduce overall costs and expedite response time. Owing to the faster and more accurate responses, organizations can benefit from lower customer bounce rate and increased retention.

By proactively educating customers with targeted messaging, preemptively answering their questions, and providing visual tours, they reduce the support volume and improve customer experiences across several customer-facing industries.

2018-01-31T15:36:00.000-08:00

It is simple to access as it requires an internet connection and a device. Don’t take the load of carrying your sensitive computers when all you need to have is an account to use your data.

Backup refers to copy of all the files on a computer. Having a backup keeps the user protected.

To backup the files on a different storage device from the hard drive of a PC is quite common. This way, even if the hard drive is damaged anyhow, it is possible to restore the information on the system and use it any time.

When it comes to backup a data, there are generally two types of data:

Files that are created and updated frequently
Application, programs, etc. that comprise the system on which the computer depends on so as to run and which are updated occasionally

One can do this as early as they want; however, it is common to make a large backup of the whole system and folders at the start and back up the items that have undergone any change after the last backup was done.

If your concern is to know how to backup computer, check out the below given step-by-step instructions:

Select the Start button
Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Backup and Restore

Perform any one of the following:

If never used Windows Backup before or upgraded version of Windows recently:

Select Set up backup
Follow the steps in the wizard

If created a backup before, it’s ideal to wait for regularly scheduled backup. Also, you can manually create a new backup by selecting back up now.
If created a backup before but looking forward to create a new and full backup instead of updating the old one:

Select Create new, full backup
Follow the steps in the wizard

Backup Regularly

After starting to back up your files, your focus needs to be in creating regular backups. If possible, Windows backup should be done daily. Why? This is because backing up daily is a fast process owing to the fact that the backup tool will instantly backup the files that have changed.

You may not know but automating the backups ensures that those backups are done regularly. It is because of this reason, online backup solutions are considered good. They are possible to be configured and backup the computer automatically. It happens even when you are not using the system and hence, you need not worry about it.

Important Suggestion

Make sure not to backup files on the same hard disk on which Windows is installed on. For instance, never back up files to a recovery partition. Remember to store the media used for backups in a safe place. This is important to keep away the unauthorized people from accessing your files. Another good way is encrypting the data on your backup.

So, this was all about backing up a PC. Hopefully, you will secure your data with the guidelines given above.

Behind the Popularity if Facebook Games

2014-03-06T05:57:00.000-08:00

Author : Chris

Games like FarmVille, Mafia Wars, Cafe World, Texas HoldEm Poker, FishVille, Happy Aquarium, Pet Society, and etcetera have become increasingly popular over the years among Facebook users. In fact, some people solely use the social network to play free games, even creating multiple accounts while spending endless hours on them to stay ahead others. Truly, it is remarkable how these online games can create such an addiction. This article discusses the reasons why Facebook games are so popular
1. Free

Instead of needing to pay for good games, Facebook gives their users the opportunity to play free games that are just as fun. Although there are options for users to pay for the games for more advanced features, the games are usually sufficiently fun on its own.

2. Easily accessible

Unlike games that you need to buy and download onto your computer, Facebook games can be accessed easily as long as your computer has the flash application installed, and you can access your Facebook account. You can use a friend's computer, a computer at an Internet cafe or even in the office (if not blocked) – players can continue their progress of the game anytime they like.

3. Meet new people

The games on Facebook are very social-reliant games, where the more friends you have playing the same game as you are, the more chances you have to attain game items that will be useful for advancing in the game. Some people would purposely befriend other players from other parts of the world through the game so that they can share this benefit. With this fact, it is an opportunity for shy people to know more people while constantly keeping in touch to enable that win-win situation.

4. Stay competitive

Besides meeting new people, these games allow the players to stay competitive among one another. The game automatically tracks a player's progress and updates it in their system so friends who connect to the game will also be able to see other friends' levels. As this is so, players tend to want to outdo one another in the leader board, where the best players are usually much easier to access and help because they are the first ones you see on your game's friends list.

5. Short

Last but not least, these games do not take up much of your time (unless you want to). The game play is quite simple that you do not actually need to put in much concentration on. Some people might even multi-task with the game on because their full attention is really not needed. This makes it an excellent boredom-killer.

The New Facebook? Understanding Google+

2011-11-27T22:06:00.000-08:00

by: Stephanie Wu

It seems like everyone has been talking about Google+ lately, a new social networking conglomerate developed by the giant Internet search engine Google. Although the platform is still in its field trial stage and is available by invitation only, there is already a large buzz about the product. So, what makes Google+ different from Facebook, the current most popular social networking site?

Through its three main features – Circles, Hangouts, and Sparks, Google+ differentiates itself because it

1) Gives the user more privacy by allowing him or her to be in full control of what is shared

2) Has a group video chat feature

3) Allows the user to uncover content rather than purely share content

For the Facebook crowd at large who is unfamiliar with Google+, here is a quick glimpse into the nuts and bolts of the new site.

The Stream

Once you get the invite, (the word is that there are currently tens of millions of users, so ask around – chances are you probably know someone who is using it) just sign in with your Gmail, Picassa, or Youtube account. You are then prompted to create your personal profile, which consists of a profile picture, introduction, education, employment, places lived, etc.

On the home screen, there is a GChat bar on the left side and a black bar at the top of the page that connects with Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Photo, Reader, and Web. Below this, there are four tabs that are quite similar to Facebook: Home, Photos, Profile, and Circles. The vast majority of the screen is taken up by a live news feed with comment and +1, or the “like”, capability of your Circles’s activities. But wait – what exactly is this “Circles” mechanism that keeps being referred to?

Circles

One of the three main features of Google+ is Circles. Circles allow you to sort your contacts into groups, including but not limited to friends, family, acquaintances, and following (like Twitter). Ever go through your 1000+ Facebook friends and not know who certain people are and how you met them? Have no fear – Google+ will keep your contacts organized.

Additionally, Circles allows you to easily share posts and pictures with only a specific group of people. There is also the option of adding friends without a Google+ account to a circle, in which they will receive your posts via email. By giving the user control of essentially every post shared, Google+ can be as private or public as you want it to be.

Hangouts

The Hangout tool is a video chat function. After downloading Google’s Voice and Video Installer, you have the capability to create a Hangout and invite up to ten people in your network to chat. Rather than planning Skype sessions in advance, Google+ posts that you are “hanging out” in the live stream and gives others the chance to jump in. Another appealing feature of Hangouts is the ability for Groups to watch Youtube videos or movies together.

An analogous application to Hangouts, the Huddle feature allows users to group chat through text. This can be useful for creating plans for the night or making decisions on a work related project.

Sparks

Sparks allows you to not only share content, but also to discover it. By typing your interests into the Sparks page that appears in your sidebar, you can stumble external sites that are of importance to you. Generally, these include current articles, videos, and other relevant content. Specifically, when I clicked on Recipes, which is one of the current featured interests, I was directed to “Foodmakers May Change Recipes to Cut Fat for Fare Advertised to Children,” “New Restaurant Shares a New Blueberry Pie Recipe,” and more. You can also share your favorite links from Sparks–and from anywhere on the web for that matter – onto your Wall.

More on Google+

Similar to other social media sites, Google+ is available for those on the go. The native mobile app currently is available for the Android, but the web app is accessible for all smartphones, and SMS is coming soon.

It is still undecided when Google+ will be fully available to the public, for Google+ representatives have stated, “How long the testing phase lasts, and how the product evolves, will really depend on how it goes. We don’t have a set amount of time” (Google+ Press Site).

But, for those who have already snagged the invite, this ultimate question remains: Will you switch to Google+ or stay with Facebook?

A new window will pop up. This window has two boxes titled Group Name and Members followed by a Privacy Settings menu. In the Group Name box is a small icon. Clicking on this reveals a menu of additional icons. Select the icon you want. In the box next to it type in your groups name. It's important to use keywords and phrases in the name when you make a group on Facebook so that your group will show up in the search engines.

In the Members box type in the beginning of a friends name you want to invite. Facebook will search for friends as you type. A list of names from your friends list matching the letters you've entered will appear. Using this list you can quickly select friends you want to add as members of your group.

Then select your Privacy Settings from the following options: Open, Closed, or Secret. These different options determine what information is kept private and what is made public. An Open privacy setting allows other people on Facebook to see your members and group pages content. Closed privacy makes content private, and Secret privacy makes content and members private. Afterwards, select the Create button.

Another window will pop up. Click the Okay button. You will go to your groups main page. Click the Edit Group button at the top right. This will redirect you to the Basic Information page.

All members will get a copy of any message sent to this email address. Then click the Create Email option. You will be redirected to the Basic Information page.

On the Basic Information page is the Description box. In this box, type information that you want others to know about your group. Anyone will be able to see this information unless your privacy setting has been set to Secret. Then select the Back to Group button at the top right hand corner of the screen. This will take you back to the groups main page. On the top right of this page is an Edit Settings button. Click on this button.

A window will pop up. A drop-down menu allows you to set your preferences for alerts. Alerts can be sent to you when anyone comments or posts on your group page. They will be sent to the email address you provided for your Facebook account unless you click on the blue Edit Your Notifications Settings link. 6 Steps To Success

2011-10-22T09:14:00.000-07:00

In this issue, I want you to focus on your goals and what you'd like to achieve in life. Big picture stuff.
We'll get to the good parts soon, but it's important to set the scene -- to clearly see what you want -- before putting any work into it.

First of all, think about this question...
What does the word "success" really mean to you?
To me, it's being able to do what I love. I love writing. I got up at 5 a.m. to write this first lesson. I saw it all very clearly in my mind...what I wanted to say and how I was going to say it.

Do you recognize the feeling?

To me, passion is valuable. And I'm a bit extreme: I spend huge portions of my time focusing on doing the things I love to do, whether or not I get paid for it.

That's success for me.

Think about it for a while. How do you value your time?

Now, that's all fine, but the important thing is this:
True success and freedom is about time, money, and fulfillment.

In my study of people who have a knack for success, I've noticed something. They make the best choice at the best time. And they appear in the right place at the right time. How do they know how be in position to find success They all use some essential success principles.

Their use of these principles is almost automatic. It is hard-wired into their nervous system. It is reflexive. It is an aspect of their subconscious programming.

No doubt many principles create success: but these few were always present.

Study and use them. See what they do for you.

1. Ask the right question

Thinking is asking and answering questions in your own mind. The quality of your thinking arises from the quality of your questions. If you want to be wealthy, do you ask--"why am I broke?" or do you ask--"how can be a millionaire in less than five years?"

In the first question, you asked why. And in the second question, you asked how. This automatically directed you to making the first question negative and the second question positive. When you ask why questions, you try to solve a problem. When you ask how questions, you look for a solution.

2. Create a vision

When you ask good questions, you create a vision. A vision is a leap of the imagination. Usually, you witness something that impresses you. You ask if you can be that way, do that thing, and have what the other person has.

This vision moves you into the future. It will get you up earlier in the morning. It will keep you working at your project longer and harder. And it will be the force that nudges you when an average person would have quit.

3.Act with faith

Once you have a vision, you have to act on it. This action, however, springs from belief.

There are two parts to belief. Do you believe that your vision is possible? Do you believe that you can do it?

Belief is an act of faith. It is choosing to do? what you have never done before. And while a vision is a leap of the imagination, belief is a stretch of emotion. Can you feel inspired in the absence of evidence? Can you believe in the evidence of something that will be?

4.Find allies

If you can see it and if you can believe it, you can have it. To see it and believe it is to set it into motion. It is to invite a new possibility for yourself. Now, your next step, is to find allies. Success is a cooperative effort. It rarely happens in isolation. True, you can create something all alone, but it really takes on meaning when it enriches the lives of others.

Since life is hard, most people are negative. They have been hurt or disappointed. Their point of view is oppositional. They seek control, approval, and comfort. And they shun risk, novelty, and discomfort. Thus, finding good allies is not easy. However, they do exist. There are people who have crossed the line between making a living and designing a life. Choose these people as your allies.

5.Take massive action

The next and most obvious thing to do is to take action. This requires a commitment to action. A commitment means that you will do it regularly. It also means that you will not quit at the first sign of opposition. It is an act of deciding to persist before persistence becomes necessary. It also means that you will continually adapt your strategy until you overcome the limitations of knowledge and resources with which you will initially start out.

6.Focus on what you love

With all this in place, passion will come easily. You will actually start to have fun. Your life will become a big adventure. Your emotions will press you forward even when your mind and body have fatigued. Over time, you will do what today seems almost impossible. You will stun and amaze yourself and others. You will find yourself in a new and strange land, where you are the master craftsman and the creator of a beautiful reality.

When you ask the right question, create a vision, act with faith, find allies, take massive action, and focus on what you love, you'll begin the process of taking the right steps to achieving your dream lifestyle. Wouldn't it be amazing to walk into a life you love ?

Zynga’s Brand New Game – Empires & Allies

2011-07-25T21:28:00.000-07:00

In the world of Facebook, games are found in abundance. This is no surprise to those fans of Zynga Incorporated, the family of the majority of games on this social website.

Recently added is the new Empires & Allies to the zany world of energy filled, quest dominating, spontaneous games that Zynga has put forward. With the new addition, gamers can find themselves building their islands to defend against all enemies and declaring neutrality to others.

Facebook is launching many new game platforms. This member has recently incorporated the ideas of other games, yet bring a fresh new look to a different world. Your territory becomes unfriendly soil where your neighbors can either visit and help, or just as equally bomb the living daylights out of your properties.

Taking turns bombing each other isn’t the only thing that you can do. Earn reputation, honor, infamy and allies that will help you get through missions. Pay close attention to each of the quests as they come to you. The speed of the game is incredible, but will take your time to manage through every level.

Your foot soldiers, cannons, tanks and aircraft are very necessary for what you need to get through the game. Each different piece will cover and defend parts of your island, so make sure that you have all of your basics covered. As you visit neighbors, you can gain extras off of them, five clicks at a time.

Work hard to collect everything you need from uranium to oil, lumber to plants. Farms, lumber yards, and oil rigs are only a few of the industrial parts to this island empire. Along with that, you will need to construct your government buildings in order to raise your population levels.

As you start off with the game, Zynga has enlisted the traditional tutorial session to get you through the series. Level up, build farms, raise flags, and defend what should be rightfully yours. Gain the spoils of victory with every island you capture. Pay close attention to which of your artillery sections will knock out the enemy. Choosing the wrong one can be dreadfully painful in losses rather than high scoring victories.

Facebook and Zynga Incorporated have teamed up together to provide the best in help forums, question and answer services, and friendly add ons. Become a member to find new neighbors, ask questions, and receive help if you are stuck within the game and cannot figure out which way to turn.

As with most Zynga games, with the exception of just a couple, you have your energy bar that limits what you can or cannot do within the time frame you are on there. This is instilled to make sure that all players have the equal chance to play comfortably without launching neighbors into much higher levels.

Take your toll and make a frame for your name and your island in the newest of the Zynga family, Empires & Allies. Zynga promises you will not be disappointed as you find out who your enemies are, and take the stressors out on explosive gaming action.

Genna Lasko is an avid social gamer and an expert on Facebook and Zynga games such as Empires & Allies. Genna’s best Zynga game tips are on her personal gaming site: http://www.socialgaming.ws

Empires And Allies Speed Levelling

2011-07-25T00:34:00.000-07:00

By Louise Hanson

In every Facebook social game there are masters. The people who are masters may spend a lot of their time playing the game, but not necessarily on their own, as playing by yourself is a lot more time consuming when your main aim is to be the best.

The REAL masters of Facebook games know the tricks, techniques, and yes, the secrets. When it comes to levelling in ANY Facebook game, the best thing to do is to play with neighbours. The real masters play with their neighbours, and receive a lot of gifts and have many neighbours.

To get neighbours you will have to search on Facebook for groups such as "Empires & Allies Neighbours". Pages like this will allow you to go on the wall and post "ADD ME". This will lead to a lot of people who play the game to add you. The page where you can post is called the discussion page. However, it is important that you are on the FIRST page, otherwise people won't look for you!

Start a new topic saying something simple, such as "ADD ME" on each group and page for Empires & Allies; this will soon allow you to have the key advantage to success... having lots of neighbours. Within 2 hours, this method worked so well that it got me 150 friends. Each and every one of these new friends wanted to be neighbours on Empires & Allies. If you were to spend 10-15 minutes posting "ADD ME" on different group pages each day for a week, I'm sure the results would be very impressive.

With a high number of neighbours you will also notice a high number of gifts coming in! Neighbours can help you work on your empire, get you coins, and even get you experience points, and best of all, you will even save energy as they will do the work for you!

Another way is to work with your neighbour on their empire. There are three important things to help you out... coins, honour, and goods. Every time you get honour points you get a heart, when you get 100, you go up a reputation level. The more honour levels you have, the more free stuff you will receive - this includes power ups!

So there we have it, a proven successful method to getting your empire up and running, and it will save you a lot of time! Good luck.

If you want to find more tips, secrets, and cheats to achieving total Empires & Allies domination, then please have a look at the ultimate Empires & Allies guide! http://cheatsforempiresandallies.com

Tips for a stronger Mafia Wars character

2011-04-02T09:01:00.000-07:00

by: Erre Webiz

If you want to advance quickly in the game known as Mafia Wars, you should apply your ability points following the advice bellow. You should know how to utilize the skill points for they are not many. Different from the game's items and loot, they are difficult to gain and they need perfect allocation. Users with better allocated stats will level up faster than other users. Players should pursue the right equilibrium between defense, attack, health, energy, and stamina. A fact that should be noted is that, having the previously discussed equilibrium will not give you the best characters. You would be wise to focus only on one status to get to your goals. In fact, the organization of skill points is dependent on your tactical plan. Some of the strategies that you might favor are listed bellow:

Get some cash and use it to power yourself up.

Finish many levels in reduced time to put your hands on the most powerful Mafia Wars items before your enemies can even think of buying them.

Participate in wars and allow yourself in heists to gain reputation within Mafia Wars.

If your Mafia's looking for cash, then you got to focus on using the ability points on energy. With extra energy, your character will be in a better position to do more jobs. This will bring you a lot of money to purchase Mafia Wars items and properties. Fighting won’t bring you a lot of money so try not to waste your ability points on attack, defense and stamina.

If you want to go through levels faster and want to encounter the game’s items before others do, then once more, you should apply ability points on energy. This will assist you to complete many levels in lesser time.

If you want to become a Fighter-class and want to be strong at wars, then you got to consider spending your ability points on stamina, attack, and defense. You got to also focus on improving your health. Try to evolve either attack or defense and encounter the Mafia Wars loot items to improve the remaining stats. This will give your Mafia a improved overall strength.

The Top 5 Social Networking Websites of 2008 – the Reigning Champions

2009-07-15T10:15:00.000-07:00

Author: Jonathan Mac

We are almost at the end of the glorious year, 2008. Everyone using the Internet would be aware of the fact that the social networking websites have gained huge popularity through this whole year. And it’s now the ideal time to make a review on the 5 best social networking sites of the year 2008. There were no much changes from the start of this year and the reigning champions are:

1. Myspace
2. Facebook
3. Bebo
4. Friendster
5. Hi5

The winner is Myspace

Almost every Internet user knows what Myspace is and more than 80% of them would have used Myspace. The key factors of the success of this social networking giant are, unique social networking web design, the easiness in sharing pictures, communicating with friends, and option to create the best customized social networking profiles. Another cool feature of myspace which we loved is the independent music bands anchored on myspace for easy music discovery. With loads of social networking features enabled through social networking softwares and all of them available for free, Myspace is the Winner.

Facebook – The contender

Facebook, yet another popular social networking website has been a serious competitor of Myspace. With the cool social networking softwares made available, facebook has become addictive to many teenagers (still no harm to them). With top notch security features, facebook is one of the most preferred social networks. So here is what holds facebook back off the winner circle. It is the limited customization options that facebook offers. However, considering all other social networking features that facebook offers, it receives the silver award. Facebook is the contender.

Bebo and Friendster – The Quickly grown Social networks

The growth of the popular social networking site- Bebo and friendster was very quick. These two social networking websites remained unknown by the start of this year and today the reached the 3rd and 4th positions of the social networking website rankings. Bebo, being bought by AOL is gaining popularity each day in the United States. Like all other social media sites, there are cool social networking softwares, personalization and privacy settings. Bebo and Friendster are in the 4th and 5th place respectively.

The rise of other social networks

The popularity of social networking has driven many people to have their own social networking website. With the social networking website design becoming easier each day, many online marketers have created their own business social networks. Though these social networking websites doesn’t appear on the top 50 rankings, they are of great use to the creators. Though these social networks, online marketers are able to promote their products, understand customer needs and get more exposure to their business. With the easiness of social networking website design we are now expecting some huge changes in the rankings of social networking websites in the year 2009.

How To Use Facebook To Build Up Your Business

2009-07-15T09:37:00.000-07:00

Author: Jeremy Gislason

Facebook is one of the most popular social networking mediums, and their membership numbers are increasing quickly. It is a great tool for networking; but like many tools available for networking on the web, promotional or marketing activities are frowned upon.

So be careful when using Facebook and do your online marketing activities under the radar, or you might miss out on a powerful tool to boost your business.

In this article, I’ll give you some vital pointers to maximize the power of Facebook.

1) Just like any other social site, be careful what you put in your profile.

You don’t want to be seen as a link spammer. And you don’t want to give away too much personal information either (unless you don't care that thousands of people may see your profile).

Just be careful with any personal details you put out there for others to see, such as where you live and pictures of your children. You do not want to pick up a stalker, especially when you are networking with strangers.

2) Don’t make the mistake of using your business name as your profile name, as this is against Facebook’s terms of service.

You are allowed to create other Facebook pages to brand your company, products or websites.

3) Respond to any friend requests and carefully send your own invitations. Make them personal and interesting.

Developing a great network is your long-term goal to generate a slow, but steady traffic stream to your websites. Use this tool to your advantage without being pushy or overbearing. Facebooks members hate spamming (who doesn’t?) and will carefully watch out for anything that violates their Terms of Service (TOS).

If you want to see profiles of those from another network, add them as your friends using the "Add to Friends" button. Follow the steps in the Edit tool to fill out any information you want others in your network, or others you accept as friends, to view.

4) Use various applications of Facebook.

Facebook has many applications which would make your networking experience easier or more enjoyable. Examples are applications for adding footage or photograph albums to your profile for others to see.

I’ll discuss two other powerful Facebook applications in a moment.

5) Use Facebook’s “My Questions” application to find out what people are exactly looking for concerning your niche

This is where posters answer certain questions about themselves and what they are looking for on Facebook. They will also list their interests. Use this in your networking activities.

Unless they have expressed an interest in your field, do not invite them to join your friends list. Of course, you can still ask them if you genuinely want to be their friend.

But if you are there to network for your website business, then choose your friends wisely. This is how you are building your list and getting traffic to your website. So you have to manage your time well and eliminate non-productive activities.

Again, be very careful about Facebook’s TOS. Do not go against it because breaking the rules will get you banned.

6) Use “Facebook Discuss.”

It is Facebook's answer to instant messaging. Chatting, or IM'ing, on Facebook is truly quite easy when you use Facebook Discuss .

Just go to your Facebook page and you can start using Facebook Discuss immediately. At the base of each Facebook page, you may see your Facebook Discuss tools.

The first of the 3 Facebook Discuss tools is the online friends tool. This simply tells you which of your Facebook buddies is online at this time. The next Facebook Discuss tool is notifications that may let you know if you have any new Facebook notifications right from the tool. The 3rd tool in Facebook Discuss is the real discuss tool.

7) Create and join Facebook groups.

Just as they have subscribed to your blog, they're going to join your Facebook group. So people looking on Facebook for related groups would feel welcome to join.

Facebook groups are viral selling mechanisms. Search Facebook for groups on your topic and related ones. In each of these groups, you can post a message on the group Wall or debate board, or you may use the Post a Link feature to inform the group's members of your group and your blog.

By promoting your Facebook group at first, rather than promoting your blog, you decrease the chance the group director will remove your message. Any Facebook member can make a group and invite users on their pals list to join.

A form prompts you to give the group a name, passing outline and class. At the following stage, you can customize your group's available applications, upload a profile photograph and set privacy levels.

A secret group is fascinating for work-related activity, but it will not show up in search results. Choosing a closed group might be the best idea for you to protect your privacy. You will be inspired to choose members from your friends list to join the group.

When you start a group on Facebook, you can invite members to join the group and share their thoughts, viewpoints and consultations about your product, idea or start-up. Invitations to join a Facebook group can be through your Facebook buddies, your Yahoo contacts, etc.

8) Integrate your application into specific areas of the Facebook profile

A Facebook application can take on a lot of forms; but in order to entirely implement the selection of integration points and deliver a full user experience, it is advised that you integrate your application into specific areas of the Facebook profile.

This permits millions of viewers to see your business everywhere on Facebook and attract potential patrons, who would naturally visit your start-up Internet site.

Remember to follow all Facebooks rules; otherwise, you’ll risk getting banned and your account deleted. This is not what you are looking for. Instead you want to use the group feature to promote your website within Facebooks rules. Do not overstep by thinking you can get around the rules. Use Facebook features to your advantage and you will see an increase in your website traffic.

Mafia Wars has just introduced a lottery system last week. It’s a cool addition to the game that gives it a new dimension. But what does joining the lottery entail you?
There will be a lottery drawing every week and you will have a free lotto ticket per day where you could choose 5 different numbers out of 70. You can also buy a ticket for 5 reward points.

To get to your Lotto page if it’s not available from the Home page, click Godfather then you would see a Lotto section.
What can you win in the Mafia Wars lottery?
• 5 matching balls – 1000 reward points
• 4 matching balls – 30 reward points
• 3 matching balls – a lotto collection piece
• 2 matching balls – another lottery ticket
• 1 matching ball – An energy pack
Don’t get too excited with the energy pack prize since you can only still use 1 pack per 24 hours. So if you won an energy pack, you can use it only if your mafia members somehow forgot to send you one.
For the lotto collection, once vaulted you will receive a +10% bonus on loot drop. Not bad but not worth the difficulty of completing the set either.

Good luck,...
