The reason for this is because the Stampin' Up! retired list came out last week and over 100 stamp sets are retiring. These samples will be from some of the sets that are retiring. If you see a card using a set that you must have before it's gone, please email me and I can get it on order for you. Thank you and have a GREAT day. Todays featured retiring stamp set is Autumn Splendor.

*Some of my samples have been previpously posted to my blog. Some of these cards may or may not have been CASE'D or Inspired by other bloggers as well. Proper credit was given on the original post along with a list of supplies. I am simply featuring the retiring stamp set! Thank you!

Well now here is a card that has been waiting and waiting to be posted. How funny. I was looking through past scheduled posts and this card was a card that was in my drafts file just sitting there waiting to be posted, awww so sad, so lonely, lol..... I made this card last year sometime. My class and past club members loved it. It was such a simple card to make and at the same time, a card that gave a POP as the red apple was popped up with a dimensional and the colors in person really are bright and vibrant! OH and it's so summer looking isn't it???

Ink: real red. Stamps: word play. Accessories: real red grosgrain ribbon (retired), however, we do carry real red satin ribbon in place of the grosgrain, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, dimensionals and retired designer series paper.

Summery huh....

This is a card that I made quite some time ago. We've made this card in a few classes and in one of my clubs. I just love it!!!! One day I was surfing the internet world and came across a card almost exactly like mine, however my card was not the original, the other posters card was. I have tried to locate the other card to let you know what I've done differently but now I can't find the card. Booooo! I know I've made a few changes just because I never think it's right to case someones card 100% and who knows, maybe that's why I can't find the card, lol.....

I love to sponge my cards. I think it gives a whole new look to a card. If it were up to me, I'd sponge all of them! Yup, even the bright and cheery ones! I also used the distressing tool to distress my edges a bit giving the card a vintage look to it. This card took some time to make, I wont lie, but in the end, it was worth it!

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Card stock: baja breeze, early espresso and crumb cake. Here's my reason for it. I do not use retired stamp sets in my classes, clubs or workshops, so this means I must get rid of all my old stamp sets. Well I have a hard time parting with my favorite items, just ask my husband.... OK, not that I have a hard time parting with him, lol..... I just have SOOOOO MANY retired stamp sets from PAST years that I can't seem to get rid of. I fear the whole Craigslist thing and I am too tired and lazy to do a garage sale and you and I both know you don't get what these sets are worth or NEARLY worth at a garage sale and let's face it, Stampin' Up! stamp sets are NOT garage sale worthy right!!!! SOOOOOO, that's how I end up with so so so many retired stamp sets! AND well ,now I must take a look at the new catalog and make new purchases. It will be exciting. Besides, who likes to wear the same ole outfit day after day right, this will be like getting a new refreshed wardrobe!

OK, so onto why I haven't posted since SEPTEMBER!!!!! OMGOSH!!! Seriously I did not know it had been since September.... I am so sorry! How can I expect to keep a following audience when I never post! I know, I can't! I apologize and I believe this same very thing happened to me last year. I had a VERY dry run with the blogging and felt horrible about it. It's not because I don't have the content to post, because I DO! it's not because I don't like posting because I DO, it's not because I don't like to talk (or type) because if you knew me, you'd know that I DO!!!!! lol... it's just that I have 2 very active girls that keep my life so very busy with Dance Class 2 nights a week, Soccer 3 times a week, Catechism one night a week, Brownie Scouts, Daisy Scouts, I have Stamp Classes one Friday a month, a Stamp Club that meets another Friday once a month, my hubby bowls every Tuesday and we have homework almost nightly. I volunteer at the school on Mondays during the day, and help out on other days when I can. I am on a few committees at the school so I have lots to do over there during the week well. I beat myself up all the time trying to figure out how to balance this all and I don't know how people do it! If you are one of these people, how do you do it????? I have a hard time keeping my head above water with just 2 girls and running a business. The blogging, the newsletters, the samples, the marketing, family life and personal life. Something always seems like it is taking a back burner..... like my laundry! ;)

Well enough of my rant. Over the next few weeks, I will post samples of ALL sorts of cards, from last years Halloween cards, Christmas cards, especially since these cards are on the retirement list and you just may want to get a hold of them before they are gone!

Again, thank you for being patient, please stick with me and I promise to do my best to find the balance!

Don't you love the colors? I know the designer series paper is now retired but at the time I made the card it wasn't. I do have a ton of it left over......I have a hard time not using my papers just because they are retired. As a demonstrator, it's hard to use retired product because it seems like EVERY TIME I use something that is no longer available, someone wants it... NEVER fails... I can show current stuff all day long and never get an order, but the minute I show something that can't be ordered any longer, BAM, someone wants it..... It always happens to me, lol... Anyways, everything but the paper is current and if you want a piece bad enough, i'd be more than happy to send you one, lol....

I know crazy right, lol...I popped the presents up by using dimensionals so the presents scream OPEN ME, lol.... What do you think about the card, do ya like it????? If you're interested, I have a card kit left from my creative card making class which includes all 4 cards from my last class. Email me and I can send you complete details and pictures from the last class, or you can look back at the last few posts and I believe they are labeled as a class post. The kit is $22 which includes the class fee (all materials for the 4 cards), shipping to you and all your materials in a padded enveloped to secure your cards. My email address is amy_braunscheidel@hotmail.com

I like this card because it's quite masculine and can be used for many "Guy" occasions. I believe I used this as a Father's Day card this year for my hubby and my Father and Father- in- law. I have such a hard time coming up with "Guy" cards sometimes.

It's like the Big Shot, it adds that special touch to a card. With fall almost here, I thought the colors were appropriate too.

I can't wait! I think this card has elegance written (well stamped) all over it, lol...

Here is a fun card we made at my hostess stampers club and one of the four cards we're going to make at this Thursday's Creative Card Making class. Oh by the way, if you're in the Brighton Michigan area and would like to attend my class, I still have an opening!!!! Would love to have ya! you can email me for class details. This card was fun to make and I love the new lace ribbon border punch. I had no idea just how big it was. I was quite surprised when it arrived. I like how this card turned out. The card sorta has fall (autumn) like colors but still has a summer feel to it don't ya think? I didn't know what I wanted to do with this stamp set, but knew I wanted it. I just started randomly started stamping and this is what I came up with. I had NO expecatations at all.
