Today I am sharing with you page 2 of the 2 page layout I showed you yesterday. Yesterday I mentioned that I was putting a few scrapbook pages away and came across this 2 page layout (see post above from yesterday). It is one of my most favorite scrapbook pages. I can remember how tight Alivia held onto my hand as we were walking down the dirt road. It seemed like every little rock she laid eyes on was a rock that needed to be picked up. In fact, I STILL have the large rock she picked up and held onto the entire time she was walking down the road. She had my hand in one hand and a big rock in the other. It's hard to believe these pictures were taken almost 6 years ago. Now my little Alivia is running circles around me =(

I love the metal tag I've attached to the layout. It reads: My finger may be small but I can still wrap my daddy around it. 6 years later that STILL holds true...

and here's one of the few pictures I have of Alivia and me of when she was little. I was always behind the camera so I don't have many pictures of us together.

A few days ago I shared a few scrapbooking pages with you and when I was putting the pages back into my album, I came across two more pages that are absolutely my most favorite pages. The layout is simple but it's the memory that makes this page so special.... This picture was taken in the fall of 2004. My oldest daughter was just learning to walk. We were in Northern Michigan at the time and anyone who has visited Northern Michigan during the fall, knows just how beautiful it is. The air feels clean, you can smell the crispness in the air and better yet, you can wear a sweatshirt and feel 100% comfortable. Our summers can get pretty hot and they are soooo humid, so when fall comes around it is widely embraced....

I love the picture of my hubby looking down the road, it was actually an accident that I took this picture, but so glad I didn't delete it. Oh and the picture of Alivia staring at the ground as she takes her wobbly steps. Look at the intense look on her face, now that's concentration! Looking back at these pictures truly warms my heart!

Here are a few close ups. The metal tag reads: May you never lose your sense of wonder... Awww, how sweet!

And this metal tag reads: I'm so glad you're my Dad.... Sniff, sniff... How 6 years has flown by!

Ok so I made this card a few days ago for my sister in law who just had a baby. I have been wanting to publish it here on my blog for DAYS but couldn't because I can't get the card to look right on here. Now I don't have any fancy editing software so I just had to use what I have or what came with my computer and usually I am satisified with the way the cards or my pictures turn out, but for some reason, I can't get this card to look right. Maybe it's because I used such soft colors? This card is sooooooo pretty in person, I almost don't want to give it away.

Here's a little side view of the card

And WOW, look at all these layers. You know how much I LOVE to layer my cards....

Now because of all the layers on this card, I am NOT going to mail the card. It would probably cost me a small fortune to mail it, lol...

I was flipping through one of my scrapbooks of when my kids were small, and I came across this 2 page layout. I forgot I hadn't finished it. Well it's almost done, I just need to add the title and the journaling. These photos were taken about 5 1/2 years ago. My hubby and I along with my parents went to Aruba for a little over a week. My oldest daughter was just 18 months old, she's now 6 1/2 and I was 5 months pregnant with my second daughter and she's now 4 1/2. I guess I better get these pages done before they get any older don't you think, lol...

Here is the first page. I thought it was so funny when my hubby and daughter made their way to the swim up bar, lol.. I think I'll title this page Cocktails and Sippy Cups, lol... Too bad my hubby isn't a drinker, he was actually just going to get a pop (soda), but pop and sippy cups just doesn't sound catchy does it. I'll come up with something.

Here is the second page. I was getting al little jealous because EVERY picture I had taken on this trip was with Dan and Alivia. I was ALWAYS behind the camera. I told Dan I would like to have a picture or two of Alivia and I together, so he said "ok, come on and get in the water and I will take your picture." HELLO, he never mentioned how COLD the water was....UGH! Lets just say I never complained after that!

The yellow pieces of paper is where the title and journaling will go. This shouldn't take too much time to finish. After I finish those two pieces, I will add a few more embellishments, you know just to liven the pages up a little. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy!

First I want to say THANK YOU PINCKNEY SCHOOL TEACHERS! You gals are awesome. This past Tuesday, I held a workshop at Navigator Middle School in Pinckney, MI. I truly did meet some of the nicest teachers. The Pinckney School District is lucky to have you. I want to especially thank Sandy H. for hosting a Stampin' Up! workshop with me and inviting me to her school! Thank you!!!!

A few days ago I promised I would show you the projects we made at the workshop. I had each of the ladies make this really pretty card using some of the new products from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.

Here's the card we made..... I used the same sketch with this card as I did with my last workshop card. I like to use this layout because it is simple and I think it makes for an elegant looking card. You're able to use pattern paper without using a ton of it and the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers go along way too! I love this card, and I think the ladies liked it too!

All Supplies Stampin' Up!:
Card stock: chocolate chip, pretty in pink, so saffron, very vanilla and sweet pea designer series paper. Stamp Set: well scripted. Ink: chocolate chip. Accessorie: Big Shot, perfect polka dot impressions folder, sweet pea stitched felt, chocloate chip satin ribbon and scallop trim border punch (sale-a-bration).

This is the pretty bag we made using the Stampin' Up! Fancy Favor die along with the Big Shot. This is probably one of my most favorite dies. These bags can be used for sooooo many things/occasions. School projects, wedding/baby shower favors, graduation favors, birthday party favors, or you can wrap a small gift and enclose it inside along with a pretty card. How cute is that. The ideas are endless! The Fancy Favor Die truly is a GREAT investment.

Stampin' Up! Supplies:
Cardstock: chocolate chip, pretty in pink. Accessories: Stampin' Up! Fancy Favor die, eyelet border punch, circle fire rhinestone brads, sticky pages, and white box filler.

And here we have the 2 projects together. Isn't the bag so cute! I had each lady fill a cello bag with Hershey Kisses and stick it inside the bag.

This is a closer look at the paper rosette I made. These were so easy to make and so much fun.

Just cut out the sanded the edges and wrinkled them up and Viola!

So I am leaving you with a piece of inspiration to get a card created, I was flipping through a catalog and came across this bedding set and fell in love with the colors. I am going to make a card using Stampin' Up! colors, which I translate to.

Very vanilla, old olive, so saffron, real red or maybe ruby red and close to cocoa.

Aren't these pretty colors? I will get a card done using these colors and post it later this week. Have fun creating and we'll see you soon!

I almost forgot to share this card with you today. This is another one of the cards we made at my Friday Nights Creative Card Making class. I JUST LOVE the navy blue pattern paper. I think Navy Blue and White are such fun vibrant colors. All of the pattern paper used on this card is double sided, so you could easily turn this card into a masculine card. The pattern paper comes from the Pattern Pack III paper pack which is a hostess gift for having a workshop/party that reached over $150 in sales. With Sale-A-Bration here, having a party reaching $150 in sales is easy peasy....If you'd like to book a home party and live in the Brighton MI area, please email me at amy_braunscheidel@hotmail.comto book your date. Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31 st. I hope you enjoy todays card!

As I was browsing through my Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog something different happened. I found myself spending quite a bit of time in the scrapbooking paper section and was really drawn to the Simply Scrapin' Scrapbooking kits. Normally I just thumb through the catalog to drool over the stamp sets and to increase my wish list,lol- but today was different. I started to pay more and more attention to the color combinations that are being used not only in the Designer series papers but in the actual kits themselves. I got to thinking, WOW- these ae some pretty neat combinations. I am always on the search for masculine cards. They are a little more challenging for me to make because no matter what my intentions are, I always have to add some frilly punch, or ribbon or something like that, and then my card is no longer masculine. I end up with a feminine card with masculine colors, lol... Soooo I am challenging myself to create a masculine card using this super neat color combination.... I plan to post it within a few days, but if you don't see anything, you know my masculine card turned frilly, lol... If you'd like to use this color combination and create a card, feel free to email it to me and I would love to post your card here too. Have a GREAT day and Happy stamping!

This fun kit can be found on page 163 of the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea & catalog.

I'm really please though with the way this card turned out. I have been trying so hard to use the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack that Stampin' Up! just came out with but EVERY TIME I pull a sheet out to use, I say to myself, oh no don't use that sheet, save it for something else. SERIOUSLY??? That's how I became a hoarder in the first place, lol... I have soooooooooo much scrapbooking paper it isn't even funny. I literally have racks of it in my craft area. I have so many plans for this paper pack that I'm hesitant to use it on my cards. Tonight I am holding another monthly Creative Card Making Class here in my home and guess what??? we're using the paper from the paper pack can you believe it... This is one of the cards we will be making. I really hope the ladies like it.

This card is simple because I never know what to add to the card to make it special. A frilly card doesn't suitable the purpose and something so plain isn't appropriate either, so what do you do? I hope you enjoy.

Today we woke up a snow blizzard. The snow has been non-stop since about 5 am this morning. I have to admit the snow sure does look pretty doesn't it? My kids were bummed because they didn't have school today due to them being on Mid-Winter Recess. Many of the school districts surrounding our area have a snow day today. How lucky are they! I had to laugh because my 4 year old said "Dawn it, it's Christmas time again, lol" Her "Dawn it" is supposed to be darn it, lol.. Gotta love those 4 year old accents.

These pictures were taken from my kitchen window this morning. It's now 11:30 am and the snow STILL hasn't stopped. We're going to have quite the accumulation! Thanks for stopping by, I'm off to shovel!

Yesterday, my oldest daughter lost her second tooth. I had to take a ton of pictures of this because what's so unusual (to me anyways) is that the adult tooth already came in behind the baby tooth. Now this is something I have read about in baby books while pregnant, but have NEVER seen anything like it. I was able to get some pretty good pictures of it. Check it out.

Look how far back that tooth sets. It's just soooo crazy lookin' don't ya think? Have you ever seen anything like it before?

That being said, I went against my better judgement and decided to post it anyways. Everything else is current tho. I hope you enjoy!

Yesterday I mentioned that I was going to share with you the super cool Fabric Flower I made using my Big Shot and the Flower Folds Die. Well here it is, isn't it pretty. Now I know I have said it many times before, but this time I REALLY mean it, this was so EASY and so much fun to make. I've decided to turn my fabric flower into a brooch. I can't wait until my flower folds die gets delivered so I can make a bunch of these. I already purchased a bunch of fabric and felt in anticipation of the die's arrival, lol... I hope you enjoy!
