Lanvin Lust: Lesson Learned

You've heard me say, 'wait too long and it's gone.'

As is the case with my coveted Lanvin eagle necklace. I've lusted over it ever since it came down the runway for SS12. I bookmarked it. I told myself that when things slowed down, I would treat myself to it. Well, I lost my chance.
When I talk about ordering for pre-fall, before summer has even hit, I realize it may sound crazy to some. Truth be told, if you have your eye on something special for the season ahead, you have the think ahead — and buy ahead. For example, to ensure you get the pick of the litter, buy your winter coat in August, then store it away safely. Or, call me to take care of all the details. That's what you have me for. Goodness knows, my clients come before me (that's why this is a lesson learned for me, 3x over).

Stylin' the Gold Tip

Do you see what I see?

I'm not talking about the cool hair, the awesome sunglasses or the luscious lipstick. It's all about the nails, baby. Check out those wide gold tips! I'm totally digging the ivory and gold mix. So much so, I just may have to try this look for myself.

Quirky Stationery and Framables

Over the past few years, I've found myself collecting stationery. Silly, quirky or just plain pretty stationery.

So much of our world is communicated through words viewed on a small screen via email or text. Receiving a card (a real card) always leaves an impression, especially if it's clever. Just like these fun postcards, notecards and prints I found on Etsy at the A Fanciful Twist shop by Vanessa Valencia.

It's time to go old school. Consider sending at least one card, on the stationery of your choice, every month to a loved one. You'll be surprised how touched your recipient will be. Effort well made.
