As we have been talking about, the U2 360 tour is in Europe and it is one of the shows that a lot of people are looking forward to seeing. It’s not hard to see why, either. The show is a lot of fun, with a huge stage and an impressive set. This makes the band seem even bigger than usual. No matter whether you’re a long-time U2 fan or just getting into it, you will be able to hear some great songs during this tour. In Milan, it happened to be Bono’s daughter’s birthday. The audience sang Happy Birthday and they had champagne. They also sang a couple of Michael Jackson songs in memory of him. These musicians have made one of the best shows this year, shifting songs to fit the audience well and make the show more fun. Just imagine what they will do once they get to the US!

In U2’s newest political action, we can see that they’re using their higher profile this year to pursue justice for some people. One person in particular is the jailed Burmese democratic activist and Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. During their current tour, they are encouraging people to wear Aung San masks in solidarity with her. She has most recently come into the headlines when, just a couple weeks before she was to be released, an American tried to enter her compound and she’s being held responsible for it. She will, apparently, be held in house arrest for a long time into the future. In protest of this, U2 has the mask available on their website as well as in the program of their U2 360 tour, saying that you should wear this mask anywhere. At home, the office, the store, mass transit. Anywhere, in order to get it more visibility and to show support for the jailed leader.

While the group continues its world tour at the moment, U2 is considering releasing their album via Blackberry. It’s being described as the U2 mobile album, which is a great idea. How many people are going around with their Blackberrys at all times? They could listen to U2 at their leisure, on trains or while on the go. They can also play it for other people. But I’m having trouble telling what makes that different from using an IPod or some other kind of mobile music device. A mobile album doesn’t seem like a new idea, so maybe someone can set me straight on this?

The U2 360 World Tour will begin today in Barcelona. There will be 90,000 fans on hand for the opening performance and it’s going to be a lot of fun! There will be some of the best performances on one of the biggest stages the concert world has ever seen. We have already discussed the utility setup above the stage, but the stage itself is slated to be huge. Over the coming 4 months, we will get to see them perform in a lot of different cities and possibly several million people will get to see them right near their hometown. This is a band that can put on a real show too. Don’t worry about being bored or anything! In fact, you will not even be able to stand afterwards, because you’ll be exhausted. Ok, maybe I exaggerate a little bit, but they sing great music and are great showmen. Just make sure you catch them in person!

U2 is putting together their newest tour, the 360 Tour which will take them to cities all around the country. One of the biggest discussions at the present time is of the stage design for all of their concerts. Perhaps the biggest part of it is the part of it where the speakers, video screens and other kinds of utilities. This is held up high by four large legs and it holds up really high. It looks a little bit like a sea monster, which is an interesting thing. This is a big reason why the concert tour will cost $150 million over the course of the tour. It’s going to be interesting to see how it works out. At this point, it looks like the tour will be popular enough to support all that.

U2 drummer Larry Mullen is upset about his treatment, especially when he enters and leaves Ireland. He said that he is humiliated and treated badly just because he is rich and successful. It’s hard to tell if this is true, but he definitely thinks it is. There have been various stories like this about the kind of treatment that rich people are getting, especially from people like airport security. He seems to think it’s about jealousy and dispair about the world from some people in the country who are upset that others are successful. It’s hard to tell how true his comments are, but there is no question that he’s successful. With “No Line” headed on the way to being U2’s best-selling album ever, they are even more successful now than they were before.

U2’s security this year will be higher than usual during their 360 Tour because the fans have had a great time heading to their shows. But they’re getting worried that the number of fans might have exceeded the level that is easy to handle, so the security is going to be higher than usual. They are great musicians and understandably, everyone wants to see them. And the security teams are going to be right there for your protection when you want to see their show. We’re definitely going to enjoy their shows, though, because they haven’t been to our area in a long time. The security doesn’t necessarily mean that there are bigger threats, but instead that they want to keep the chances of bad things very low.

U2’s musical “Spiderman” will soon be opening up and they are talking about it. One of the things that they are saying about it is that they like musical theater, but they probably wouldn’t have gotten involved with the basic stuff. Instead, they are in it for the comic book aspects of it. Maybe the show is Broadway style, but they’re more interested in hearing and seeing the dramatic presentation of a comic book, as it fits a little bit more with their rock music mentality. It’s going to be an interesting year for them as they put this production on, with the great music of U2 getting itself all set. Get ready for some fun!

The U2 360 Tour is going to begin shortly. At least in Europe. They are going to start touring in just a few days over in Ireland, Britain, and other places in Europe. Later in the summer they will be coming over here to the US and the tour will be a lot of fun. There is a lot of discussion out there this week about the music of Bono and the rest of the band, particularly on this new album, and the influence of religion and spirituality. With quotes from religious texts and other sources, the music points clearly at religious themes on occasion. This music will be coming to stadiums, theaters and amphitheaters all over the world so make sure that you’re ready to see this great band in action!
