You might probably get an email from a company or a website that you subscribe to, asking for you to confirm some personal or financial information, that they could use in accessing your accounts and cleaning them out, or buying stuff using your credit card information.

I recently got an email, claiming that it was from eBay and that I had not paid for an item which I had won, and hence they needed me to view the disputed item and confirm some information. The most revealing sign that this was a phishing email, was that it opened by simply saying “Dear Member”.

Legitimate emails from sites that you subscribe to always address you, your name or your account name or indicate your account number. Be careful with email like this.

Incidentally, here is a post which also has to do with emailing phishing.

Have you recently received any email purportedly from Ebay or any other auction company online? The email is either about a seller making a complaint about you and your not paying for an item you have purchased, or maybe the company is sending you an email to update your account details.

I have received several of those phony and fraudulent messages. What happens is, they indicate a link on the email for you to click which leads you to a “phishing” site, or a website where they can collect your personal data.

Whenever you get an email like this, and doubt that you really made any purchases recently using that company, the first thing to do is NOT to click any of those links. Instead go to the official site of the company, if you know it, and send their support department or customer service an email. Forward to them the email you have received to verify if it really is from them.

These recent fraudulent emails look so real actually that you can easily fall for it.

Tag:email spam, spam
This isn’t about SPAM in a can, but the one that floods your email inbox the moment you check your mail at the office in the morning.

The reason I am writing this, is to give a valuable tip to those who have inadvertently been spamming and without their knowing it.

But what is spam?

Wikipedia says E-mail spam or junk e-mail is a subset of spam that involves sending nearly identical messages to numerous recipients by e-mail. Originally the term spam applied only to usenet messages, although it has now popularly been applied to e-mail, particularly because the effect is similar and is more well known. A common synonym for spam is unsolicited bulk e-mail (UBE).

What do you mean by unsolicited? It simply means, I received email with information or data that (a) I didn’t ask for, and thus (b) I am not supposed to be getting.

Actually the real reason that got me started in writing this post is because I received an email from someone from a prestigious 5 star hotel advertising a promo; I was copy furnished, together with so many other people. You wanna know how I handled it? Read the email I sent to the person who sent the email.
———————————————————

Hello XXXXXXXXXX,

I would like to make an inquiry…

I received this email from you; however I do not remember requesting for any information; neither am I a part of a web ring hosted by your company; I am not also a member of a club of the hotel that who receives weekly promotions.

Having said that, your email is considered spam, and I sincerely suggest for you to please avoid sending unsolicited email. I’ll tell you why.

If there was someone out there crazy enough and with an axe to grind against your company, that person can easily report you to your domain registrar and ICANN, and what happens is your domain could get suspended.

I’m telling you, these guys take spam seriously. I say “could” because there are some domain registrars that have very strict spam policies and some are kind of lax. Either way, it’s risky. You may not have access to your domain name… in case your wondering, your domain name is
“XXXXXXXXXXXX.net”.

Do not worry, I received this email cc’d with several other people, and I didn’t cc them with this email to you.

So please, refrain from sending out unsolicited email. I am here to help =D

Thanks and have a nice day,

Tag:No Tags
This is a reprint of an article I wrote about Niche Empires, and I know this would be of interest to niche marketers and those who are looking at creating niche websites.

—————————

Not too long ago, maybe a week or so, we had this discussion about the new product from Andrew Hansen called Niche Empire Generator.

I am very much tempted to tell you how many niche sites I have created so far, and how fast it is to put one together using the software but… let me just tell you instead of what I think of it, after about a week of use.

If this is the first blog you have caught on my site about the Niche Empire Generator, let me just bring you up to speed. The Niche Empire Generator software basically builds and manages niche websites for you. The kind of niche sites are Wordpress blog based and are based on Andrew’s successful niche site principles laid out in the popular report Niche Marketing On CRACK that he released a couple of months back.

With a week working with the program, these are probably the general pros and cons.

Pros:

- fast niche site creation, customized to your liking and with many helpful addons, for most people learning new software is such a chore, but videos are provided so you can get your first profitable niche site up and running very quickly

- websites in general are useless if not seen by search engines, and the processes and actions taken to make sure sites do get seen and indexed on search engines is SEO, luckily the software is very SEO friendly and eliminates a lot of work and helps promote the site by submitting the site’s RSS feeds all over the web and integrates social bookmarking features designed to pull traffic from the social network sites

- easy maintenance, content posting and efficient site management makes life a lot easier, and working on your site quicker.. more time to do other things

- it doesn’t just manage your sites, it manages everything you do to your sites so you can instantly know when your sites will need updating again, where their ranking in the search engines, how many links you’re getting, what articles you’ve submitted to where and much more

Cons:

- if your goal is to build an niche empire, it can be done but it does take a little time… and work on our part… it doesn’t do everything and you will have to do your part such as preparing, uploading and scheduling the publishing of content, although it does come with a huge library of content for your you to choose from

- not a significant number of templates, and you might want to use your own which would probably be advantageous if you look at it differently, you get to fully personalize your site or exactly custom fit it to the niche you serve

Verdict:

The bottom line is… automation is a great thing online, total automation is generally not possible. This Niche Empire Generator thing is as close to maximum automation as I have seen in terms of niche marketing.

You can set it up just once, and depending on how much content you load and schedule for publishing, you can possibly just leave it for months and months… while you check your Adsense reports for sales it brings in for you.

Maybe it is time you got yourself one, check it out by clicking the link below:

Tag:niche empire, niche empire generator, niche marketing, niche site, niche website
Each time we log on to the internet, we see a barrage of internet success stories, tales of huge checks and how the people who made that money did it.

One common way of making great money from the internet is through niche sites, and these sites grow in numbers at such a rapid rate, and why wouldn’t they? If you could make a small website that would make small money, wouldn’t you want to repeat the process, duplicate your success and build more of these sites to make BIG money? Thus increasing your gross income from your virtual empire. Sure you would!

If you have that vision of growing your empires, welcome to the dream of niche marketers, whose primary goal is to keep building. That is also what separates the successful ones from those who fail; for those that succeed never stopped building.

What is a niche site empire?

It is a cluster of small but profitable mini sites that is continually growing, with new sites continually being added; old sites continually being maintained, fed new content, improved etc.

Niche site builders know that not every site created will be as profitable as the others; they might not even be profitable, period! But to be generally profitable, you will have to build them in large numbers. Before you even start building however, you would need to first find out through testing if the niches you will build sites on are profitable to begin with and are worth your time.

The 80/20 principle states: 20% of your actions will account for 80% of your results. This applies also to niche marketing. 80% of your income will come from just 20% of the sites you make. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it does mean that 4 out of 5 sites you build won’t be as profitable as you would have hoped for them to be, while 1 out of 5 sites is your jewel.

To find that jewel; that great niche site that can probably churn 4 figures a month on its own, you have to realize first that you need to to be able to create 5 niche sites. This means that if you want 10 great, high profit niche sites, you might probably need to build 50 sites to find those 10. Of course your chances at success are greater if you have a proper system in place, do your homework and proper research.

Secrets to Successful Niche Empire Building

These sound like pretty overwhelming odds don’t they? Especially that majority of people trying to make money from niche marketing aren’t going to do what it takes to find those 10 profitable niches and sites. Remember what separates the successful niche builders and what sets them apart from those that fail, it is not simply that they don’t stop building… they take the extra effort, and go the extra mile to find those cash creating sites.

For many people, empire building in the past has also been difficult. Too tedious a process of building sites, promoting them, updating them, then managing them. It can leave you exhausted before you even are done, especially if you are trying to do it alone. If you think about it, kings and kingdoms had their slaves and you, on your own; both king and laborer.

Fortunately the middle ages are long gone, and you won’t toil on cold hard dirt, but on the vast expanse of the internet; and today we have all the information and resources needed to help us create empires.

Since information and technology are a given, the only thing missing in the equation then is something that only we can provide; the right attitude and a good amount of dedication. Key components to get us started, in laying down the bricks for what shall be our niche empire websites.

Tag:No Tags
Just some days ago I wrote an introductory review about this new niche marketing product, the Niche Empire Generator… just about the time I had gotten myself a copy of the new software and tried it our for myself.

This is a blog which will talk about results of my experimentation with Niche Empire Generator, and how good or bad it probably is; keep reading and you will find out.

The heart and soul of the Niche Empire Generator is Wordpress and in essence is is a Wordress site generator. It allows you to easily create and customize a powerful wordpress blog niche site, the same kind that Andrew talked about in his last report, Niche Marketing On Crack.

If you haven’t seen the sales letter yet, Andrew’s got some pretty great testimonials from people who have had success making these kind of blogs… One lady did $800 in her first month, another guy did $250 in his first couple of weeks etc There is no question that these blogs work.

The thing is that all those great results were from BEFORE this software was available and it took people days to make niche sites like that. With Niche Empire Generator it can take as little as 5 minutes to crank out a site that powerful.

Here are what I liked most of the software:

1. Just like Wordpress you can load posts and schedule them to be published at a later date, your site can actually stay updated and fresh with content with this feature, no need for RSS or CRON jobs to set up. Simply load, and schedule.

2. Customization is one of the coolest things you would require for a software that transforms a Wordpress blog into a niche website, this software allows you a lot of customization for your blog, you can easily add your own header graphic, add features like opt in forms or images in the side bar and more.

3. If you were to conduct a quick survey among marketers and find out what their secret was, you will realize that most of the successful ones kept records and results of testing and experimentation. This software allows you to keep track of everything you have done to promote the site, so you have a record of what you did, that gave you favorable results. Normally when you make more than a few sites you lose track of what you have done to which site, which needs more promotion, which needs an article submitted for it etc etc. With this feature you can monitor it all and know exactly what needs to happen when!

4. Control panel is a breeze, no need to login to a million WP control panels to edit sites in your niche empire, you can do it all from one place.

5. One of the best add-ons of the Niche Empire Generator is something that doesn’t have anything to do with the software - PLR Content. Creating content is a cinch with the free PLR content that goes with it.

By now does it probably sounds like I’m giving out a Niche Empire Generator my full endorsement, so let me just say don’t take my word for it. Click the link below to learn more about this software or grab a copy for yourself if you haven’t done so yet.

For those of you who are not familiar with niches on the internet, niche marketing, and niche sites, Niche Empire Generator is basically a program that will create profitable niche mini sites for you without you having to go through the manual aspects involved with doing it by hand.

The software then allows you to manage the sites that you do create, keeping them updated with new content and allowing you to edit elements of each of them from within the main control panel.

The Niche Empire Generator is created by expert niche marketer Andrew Hansen, who has had significant success with previous products such as the Niche Marketing On Crack Ebook. Niche Empire Generator is based on solid principles and built upon Andrews’ successful theories in creating profitable niche blog sites.

The report seemed a little hypey but I was surprised to see it promoted by a number of very down to earth, no B.S marketers like Martin Avis and Phil Wiley who declared it a powerful system based on common sense marketing principles.

To fill in the blanks, this software is supposed to do what this report indicated, only allow you to do it 10 times faster and with a few bonus features.

Some of the bonus features I’m talking about is that it helps you promote your blog site as you create it. It does the basics like ping automatically with each post but it also does some work to submit your blogs RSS feed out across the web and integrates a nice feature to allow visitors to tag your sites in the social networks for increased viral traffic.

One caveat is that the software does not create content for you and you still have to obtain your own, whether it be by writing articles or by rewriting PLR content.

The creator did combat this by providing a nice chunk of researched PLR content so that anyone can plug and play to get started making money with the program immediately.

Now before I go on, I wish to state for the record that I have been blogging for about two years now, and in those two years, nobody really showed me how it went. nobody told me what to do or how to do it. I pretty much learned on my own.

Imagine how annoyed I was to discover that there was this really easy WordPress instruction manual of sorts that basically teaches you how to set up your blog and gives you a course on some of WordPress’ advanced features. Now I have read and heard over and over that if you blog, and blog as habitually as some junkie on crack, then you could make yourself a little money from Google Adsense… if you have the traffic volume to brag off by the way. Anyways, imagine how twice annoyed then I was to find out how easy it is to actually make some money because of your blog.

Well, it would really depend on a person’s motivations, if you do it for the money or do it for the fun of it… thats something that varies from person to person. But in case you need a little help in the WordPress setting up department… and are even willing to make some money out of your WordPress blog.. you have to check out this product… the Easy WordPress Adsense System.

To take a look at what I am talking about, you can check the Web Tools page of this site.

But before we begin let me just bring you up to speed with blogging and WordPress, in case they both sound foreign to your ears.

In case you did not know, blogging is quite popular these days… and the reasons why people blog are just as countless as there are bloggers. But let me give you a little peak on why people blog.

First of all, for those just like me who actually just started blogging about a couple of years ago, a blog was just simply… a Web Log; similar to a diary or journal, however viewed by a worldwide audience. Blogging signaled the beginning of personal publishing. Anybody with a PC, an internet connection, and an opinion about something or with something to say no matter how trivial, now could get published and read by a huge audience.

Since blogging gained popularity, more bloggers meant, more blog sites, and a greater interest in audiences about blogs… and thus the opportunity for advertising. Countless blogs today are used as cash cows for contextual advertising, where the owner of the blog gets paid to show ads. Ever heard of the word blog farms? Anyways, we aren’t going there today, so lets continue.

One such successful blog platform or program is WordPress, a free and open source software that I should say, without bias, is probably the most popular blogging platform today. Aside from being FREE, WordPress is developed and constantly improved by the very people that use them.

Today WordPress isn’t just blogger-ware, it is one of the most efficient content management systems today and very easy to use too. Its applications are countless… whether for blog sites; websites like corporate sites, merchant and e-commerce sites; personal online portfolios or resumes, and a lot more.

This site (mywebsnack.com) IS a WordPress powered site, so if you like what you see, you gotta give a hand for the people responsible for the constant development of WordPress. If you would like more information on WordPress simply drop by www.wordpress.com or www.wordpress.org.

So your are now on your way to discovering how to set up your WordPress blog. But wait a second… before I forget, there are actually two choices here as far as hosting is concerned, you can create your own site by getting a web hosting service and host your blog there, or if you are a newbie and would like to first get better at it, you can simply create your account on wordpress.com and have your blog hosted there.

There are certain advantages and disadvantaged of self hosting (your own site) and free hosting (like on Wordpress or Blogger, etc), but that is another topic we will get into later.

For now, let us get you set up with a free blog account on WordPress.com.
