These were taken last Christmas in Västerås, Sweden. H & M (pronounce in Sweden as "HO och M") is one of the best boutiques to shop. I wonder why Philippines has no H & M. We all have those branded clothes, bags, shoes and accessories products like Hilton Paris, Old Navy to name a few, but this H & M has not yet arrived here in the Philippines.

People who have a positive, optimistic outlook on life have better immune responses during acute stress or trauma. Studies done on transplant, cancer and cardiovascular patients show those that had a positive outlook healed faster and recovered more fully. For your health's sake, turn your joy on fully.

Getting Joyful

There are four major ways to get joyful. Learning to have positive emotions no matter what, coping with stress in healthy ways, self-expressing emotions, and having good relationships.

1. Positive emotions result when you look for the lesson learned during a hard time. Often the worst moments or events result in a change that leads to better habits or decisions. Recognizing this during a crisis gives one the strength not only mentally but physically to endure it and to find a way to make life better.

2. Coping with stress is a habit one needs to practice daily. There will always be issues and problems and days one will not get their way. Walking or exercise relieves stress and changes the mood. Breathing rhythmically while saying a favorite phrase does the same. Detaching from other's negative tendencies helps make life bearable.

3. Self-expressing emotions means the ability to tell yourself how you are feeling and then acting on it. While I was walking around the mall, I found this very girly snowboard for kids. I was actually looking for a remote helicopter for my son until I found this snowboard hanging in front of me. If only my son was with me, he probably likes to get a boy's color for him. I know he loves to play on the snow, and he likes making snow balls.

Finding an Apartment on Almost Any Budget

For some, finding an apartment is a simple matter of finding one that is the right size with the necessary number of rooms and the best light. For most, however, it is a matter of finding an apartment that fits the same criteria and suits a specified budget. This takes some networking, fine-tuning of your budget and serious thought about exactly what kind of apartment you need.

Know Your Budget

Before you even think about looking for an apartment, you’ll need to perfect your budget. Know how much you earn after taxes, what your average monthly bills are, what your typical extra expenditures are, how much you can put aside for emergencies and how much you’ll have left for rent. A wise general rule is to divide your yearly salary, before taxes, by 40. The result is the amount of rent you can afford.

Knowing your budget also means knowing how much you can afford to spend on move-in costs, typically the monthly rent multiplied by three (covers the first month’s rent, last month’s rent and security deposit). If there is not enough cash handy for this, do not worry. Many landlords will require the first and last months’ rent, the first month’s rent and security deposit or only the first month's rent.

Spread the Word

The moment you know you are looking for an apartment, tell friends and acquaintances. Often, people rent cheap apartments without ever listing them. They find their tenants through word of mouth, so you’ll want to let people know in case your dream apartment is waiting for you through by way of a friend or coworker. Some landlords are willing to charge less per month to a tenant vouched for by a friend.

Check Online and in Local Newspapers

Armed with what you know about how much you can afford, begin your search on the Internet. Check want ad and real estate websites. Make sure you do not send money for any apartments you view online without first meeting the owner and touring the space. Even if an apartment fits your budget, it may be intolerably dirty or have problems not likely to be fixed. You could also lose your money to a scam artist and blow your budget entirely.

You may have better luck using newspapers. Property owners do not always bother to delete free online listings when they find new tenants. Because of their expense, newspaper listings are often removed immediately after apartments are rented. As with Internet ads, if you find an apartment that interests you in a newspaper ad, do not send a check without seeing what you are paying for.

Final Thoughts

When apartment hunting, your budget is your priority. If you find something that is a little over your budget but includes utilities, do the math to make sure the higher rent covers the estimated utility bills but does not exceed what is needed. Try not to go alone to see an apartment, especially if it is in someone's home. In addition to safety concerns, it is helpful to have extra eyes and ears to pick up information you may miss that could help you make your decision.

While I was surfing on the net a while ago, I have read about dealfun.com reviews. The review is about bidding. I have never tried to bid online, but some of my friends love this type of owning a product or items. I was actually thinking to recommend this site to my friend who really loves bidding a certain product because it has been said that if you lose the bidding, and you really want the product, you bid, then you can still purchase the product at “Buy me now”. The amount you bid could be used to purchase the product. You just have to add an additional amount if the price is higher than the value you have been used for bidding. Pretty cool, right? The other day, I went out again just to look for postcards that I could send to my friends here in the blogoshpere. The BF accompanied me to the stores where we could find postcards, but we bought only few because they don't have new release postcards.

Anyway, this was the store where we bought some postcards, and if you could notice the white candles I was holding, it was numbered from one to twenty-four. I asked why it has a number on it. It said, you will light the 1st candle on the first day of December and will end on the Christmas Eve. Pretty cool, right?

According to my SIL, Christmas is her favorite holiday. I asked why, she said because everywhere you look, everybody’s happy. I said, wheeeey!! Is that really your reason? She laughed at me. Well, honestly, my SIL is again excited for the coming holiday, but when she learned that I am actually leaving tomorrow (Oct. 31), she was sad. Sad not because she will not see me, but she is sad because nobody will give precious gifts to her children this Christmas. She knows that I am a “galanteng mommy”, that’s how my nieces and nephews call me. Well, I made my promises to my little ones (nephews and nieces) that I will send their gifts before Christmas, or I will ask Jason to shop for their gifts. By the way, I am not sure if I could update this blog tomorrow, but in case I couldn't update it by tomorrow. I would definitely update it when I am in Sweden already. So, I’ll see you again in the next few days.

Hair Treatment for Dry Hair and Scalp

I bought this hair treatment when there was a buy one, get one at Watson's beauty product store at SM Mall.

The white plastic jar is a Keratin Hot Oil Cream with Green Tea. It claims that it revitalizes dry hair and scalp. I have not tried this one yet, so I didn't know if it really does.

The green plastic jar is a Coconut Hot Oil Cream with coconut milk extract. It claims that it helps to make your hair smooth and shiny. I have tried this one, and it really gives my hair so smooth and shiny. That even if I have not washed my hair for two days, my hair still smooth and shiny. I really like it.

I was glad that I found this freebie at Watson, at least I save a little money for it. I don't need to go to the hair salon for I can do it on my own because applying the cream on my hair is so easy. You will apply the cream after shampoo. Just dry your hair a little with a towel and then apply the cream, massage your scalp and cover it with shower hair cup. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. That's all, as simple as that.

Applying for a Credit Line

My mother recently applied for a credit line with her bank. The previous loans were paid on time, and she has no unresolved loans or unpaid balances in her bank. She was surprised when the bank asked her to submit an audited financial statement before they could approve the application for increasing the credit line. My mother asked me on how to make that financial statement. I told her that she has no big business. Her store doesn’t need an accountant to audit the book of a financial statement because the net income of her store is just around 10,000 pesos or less in a month. My mother was wondering why the bank asked her now about this financial statement. She applied for a loan before and was approved, but the bank never asked a financial statement. She just presented her parcel of lot as collateral.

Anyway, I instructed my mother to go back to the bank and ask them why they were asking for a financial statement and not collateral again. And I also told her that if the bank will still insist the FS, then I suggested not asking for an increase of a credit line, instead apply for another loan, and we will see if they approve the loans.

I have read that normally a person would lose 50-100 hair strands everyday, but she won’t go bald because hair will be replaced continually. Baldness results when the loss of hair is greater than the production of hair.

Anyway, medically, here are the types of hair loss:

Alopecia totalis means total loss of scalp hair.

Alopecia universalis is a condition where all body hair is lost universally, including the eyebrows and eyelashes.

Alopeciaareata means you have certain areas of bald patches on the head.

If someone calls you alopecia, you have the right to pull his hair.
