Review: Makeup: Make Up For Ever Eye Seal

I’ve mentioned the Make Up For Ever Eye Seal numerous times throughout my site but have never really reviewed this product. Like many other Make Up For Ever products, this is one product that works well for me. It is also one of the easiest ways to learn how to tightline your eyes.

Eye Seal is a product by Make Up For Ever that seals your eye makeup colour and help keeps it waterproof. It miraculously transforms any and all powder eyeshadows into budge-proof eyeshadow and eyeliner.

Review: Makeup: Rimmel London Gloss Maxx Lipstick

I only picked up one item from the new Rimmel counter in Kuala Lumpur and many concerned readers wondered what was wrong with me. Ah the wonders of a reputation eh? Joking aside, the reason why I bought only one lipstick was because I’d spent the rest of my money buying the Majolica Majorca stuff for the giveaway. So, watch out when I get back to the Rimmel counter!

The one lipstick I got was the Rimmel London Gloss Maxx lipstick which I found on the Japan website for Rimmel. It doesn’t seem to be available on the other Rimmel sites in the world and part of the label is in Chinese/Japanese so I’d safely say this is a Rimmel Asia Exclusive! And boy! Do I like this one!

Lancome Christmas Perfume Coffrets

The easiest gifts to get a woman for any occasion be it birthdays or Christmas, is the perfume coffret sets that cosmetics companies put together in a value pack. Not only do you get a lovely looking gift, it is usually value for money as it comes with miniatures or body lotions in matching scents. It can be rather trite but unless a woman is allergic to alcohol, few women say no to a gift of scent.

Lancome’s perfume coffrets are out at the counters locally but I’m not eyeing any of them because I’ve got my eye on the VIRTUÔSE mascara set!

Liquid, Powder or Mineral Foundation?

I have been doing an experiment lately with foundation. I’m trying to see which type of foundation suits me best and which I prefer to use. After much experimentation, I’ve found my answer.

For me, the answer is powder foundation. In Asia and in Asian brands, you might see a reference to a 2-way foundation. Its essentially a powder foundation that you can use dry or wet (damp).

Application

Liquid: My preferred method of applying liquid foundation is with my fingers. Other methods are with a foundation brush or a sponge. Maybe I’m not too good, but I find it too slow to get a good non-streaky coverage. You have to set the foundation with loose powder after applying.

Sincere Apologies

There’s been some funkiness going on at My Women Stuff these couple of days for which I sincerely apologise. Posts and comments have been disappearing as quickly as limited edition cosmetics flying off the shelves.

I’m afraid the culprit is my server which has decided to misbehave and in doing so, it ate up my previous posts over the past couple of days. If anyone’s wondering, I swear a server is female Still, I’m in the process of getting the posts reinstated.

Review: Makeup: NYX Mosaic Powder Highlighter 01

If there is one brand of cosmetics I wish would be brought here into Malaysia, its NYX Cosmetics. I previously reviewed the NYX eyeshadows and NYX blushes and in a nutshell, this inexpensive cosmetics brand is exceptional!

I had heard of the NYX Mosaic Powder for a while and had been tempted to get it too. But it was so hard to find anywhere that I eventually caved and got them on Ebay. I did later see them retailing in Singapore. The NYX Mosaic Powder Highlighter in 01 had been touted as the low end equivalent of Guerlain Meteorites highlighter powder. I had to see how well it fared.

Majolica Majorca Majolook Trick On Eyeshadow Palettes and preview of goodies to be won!

Before I show you the Majolica Majorca goodies you can win in the giveaway, here’s some pictures of the Majolook Trick On eyeshadow palettes. I had the previous Majolook palette with the cream eyeshadow base which was nice but oh! nothing beats the Trick On palettes!

If only I weren’t allergic to these, I’d buy them all! Ok, maybe not all, but the green one for sure. I managed to swatch it and the colours are so soft and fine and shimmery I was tempted to get a palette anyway. Fortunately sanity prevailed
