Internet users are more aware of the need to protect their privacy than ever before. There are more than 4.6 billion active internet users on the planet, but only a tiny percentage of those users have a Virtual Private Network (VPN) installed on their machine.

VPN usage is increasing as people take more care of their privacy. A VPN creates a virtual network, hence the name, which protects your privacy when accessing the internet. It does this by creating an encrypted tunnel for your data, protecting your online identity by hiding your IP address. Furthermore, VPNs allow you to use public WiFi hotspots without fearing someone is monitoring your internet usage.

Because of how VPNs work, they can be used to access websites that would not ordinarily be available in your country. For example, you may reside in France but want to access betting websites in the USA, but your government blocks access. A good VPN can make it look like you are located in the USA, thus granting access to previously inaccessible websites.

Some VPNs are entirely free to use, but they tend to limit the number of different countries you can appear in, reduce download speeds, and lack certain security features. The best VPNs command a monthly or annual fee and all but guarantee complete privacy and peace of mind.

NordVPN is arguably the biggest name in VPNs and one that has been at the top of the industry since its launch in February 2012. Nord VPN is based in Panama, a country with no mandatory data retention laws, and does not participate in the Fourteen Eyes or Five Eyes alliances.

The company boasts of more than 5,200 servers, more than any other VPN provider, and in almost 60 countries. Those servers are located at more than 80 destinations, meaning you will always be able to find a location to connect to.

NordVPN uses AES-256 encryption as standard, which means your data is fully protected. Still, it is possible to use Nord’s Double VPN system where your data is encrypted twice, which is handy if your anonymity is paramount.

Many NordVPN users take advantage of accessing country-specific versions of Netflix, iPlayer, YouTube, and Amazon because the software does a great job at unblocking these sites.

Best of all, there are several subscription options available, and NordVPN regularly runs promotions where you can receive up to a year’s protection for free.

ExpressVPN

NordVPN may be the biggest name in the VPN world, but ExpressVPN has made big waves. It has more than 3,000 servers in 160 locations, in almost 100 countries globally. You can enjoy five simultaneous connections, which is less than some of ExpressVPN’s rivals but more than enough for the everyday internet user.

The company’s developers have worked wonders to create an easy-to-use interface that even the least tech-savvy people have no problem using. Furthermore, ExpressVPN is one of the fastest VPNs available today, plus it works on every platform you can think of, including Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux.

Surfshark

Surfshark is the new kid on the block, having released in 2018. Despite its tender age, Surfshark provides excellent protection for ridiculously low prices. Taking out an annual subscription comes with an effective price of approximately $2.50 per month, which is around $0.08 per day!

Do not be fooled by the super-low subscription fees because Surfshark is the real deal. Like ExpressVPN, Surfshark is extremely easy to use, your one account covers all your devices, and it is excellent at unblocking country-restricted websites.

The only real downside to Surfshark is it lacks the speeds of both NordVPN and ExpressVPN. It is not slow by any means, and any VPN usage reduces your download speed, but Surfshark simply cannot keep up with the pace of its two biggest rivals.

All we have ever had an addiction for some online game, especially now that there are so many web pages that you can be stuck all day. One is Slot.com and offers slot games acclimated with various themes that allow your gamer side go out to recreate freely, since, in addition, games are completely free. The game we want to talk about is Funny Fruits, which with its bright colors and funny fruit figures seems impossible to stop playing.

Play as in the casino but from home with Funny Fruits

Funny Fruits is a simple slot game in which you must push the start button to let your luck at random (the feeling that every player loves). You have more than 6 opportunities to earn coins that allow you to move to the forward level and unlock new ones.

The extra bonus you get for attempts also allow you to gradually increase your score so new games are available for you, according to the regularity of your visits and luck you had. All these figures are counted thanks to your registration in the page, which can be completed through Facebook (the best for the lazy) or making the registry directly on the page of Slot.

If you choose the first option, Facebook will send you notifications and link the game with your friends, allowing you to be always online. You may find that many of them also have fun playing online slots at its leisure. On the other hand, if you chose to register directly on the page, you will receive reminders to your email so do not hold back on performance and you continue producing many more golden coins.

The content of this page is purely entertainment and fun; assuming that will be used in moderation, it will serve to distract you from all the things that occupy your head every day, and it does not require more mental effort. However, remember that the ease with which you can access these games could be considered a negative factor if given openly disclose to minors or who have special psychological behavior around this vice.

Otherwise we invite you to try and judge with your own experience this game at the Slot.com page, I assure you will visit a few times, until your “addiction” remains forgotten, as you must have happened with the famous Candy Crush.

We have good news for Nokia Lumia enthusiasts. Nokia has recently confirmed that the terminal Nokia Lumia 1020 will come to Spain in October with the operator Movistar.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available with the blue operator in just 1 month. Specifically Movistar has exclusively the model of 64 GB in yellow, black and white.

The final price of the terminal is 696 euros for the SIM-unlocked version, while if you subsidize it costs 24 euros a month, which we have to pay in 24 months and without any kind of interest. Furthermore and thanks to the latest changes presented by Movistar, Nokia Lumia 1020 won’t have termination fees for new customers and the terminal will not be blocked by SIM.

It also comes from the hand of the operator Vodafone and specifically the company sell exclusively the 32 GB model, although we do not know in what colors and with which rates will be available, as well as their final price.

We have already spoken on other occasions about the strong expansion that is suffering the world of casino games and poker in the last years. While many people still see it as an activity somewhat strange and dangerous, it has nothing to do with what in the past you could see at any bar in your city.

Known games of roulette, slots, blackjack or poker have evolved and they are now on the Internet, or as some people prefer to call it, “in the cloud”.

The second evolution came with three dimensions. Visiting sites like tragaperras.org we are surprised to see that some of these games have even an “intro” in 3D to start the game, very consistent with the environment that we will see later while we are playing.

In my opinion, the idea of bringing this type of gambling to the world of traditional video games could be the best way to surprise and draw the attention of all users. Maybe something like the famous movie “21 Blackjack” but with amazing graphics and the gameplay of the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One? Everything comes…

On the other hand, on some occasion we have also spoken here about the arrival of Casino and poker games to the world of smartphones and tablets, you just have to visit Google Play to see the amount of games that are available for download. In addition, 3D editions of these games also begin to arrive to the mobile world, and that surely will be turning into something quite common in the coming years, thanks to the power of the graphics chips integrated into the new devices.

Microsoft has decided to renew its range of tablets Surface and is just recently confirmed the date in which the second generation of tablets will be presented. The event will finally take place on September 23 and will be announced two new devices, which are the second generation of the Surface RT and Surface Pro.

What is expected to see in the new devices? They will basically be something more powerful than the current Surface. In the case of the Surface Pro 2, is expected to carry a Intel Core Haswell processor (newer ones so far), possibly more RAM and some improvements in the battery life.

On the other hand is expected that the new Surface RT, which will be called Surface 2, have a SoC Nvidia Tegra 4 as well as a higher resolution screen, such as the Full HD, and also more battery life.

Hopefully with these changes may raise the market because until now Microsoft has not fared well with the sales of the Surface and that has caused losses of 900 million euros, generated in large part by the lack of publicity and consequently the few sales.

We will also see if they lowered the price, since the price has been one of the major impediments for people to buy these devices of the Redmond company.

The company already announced that the innovations that would be presented would cause impact and seems to be so. At least what they have just presented is very good for customers and supposed to give a heavy blow over the competition.

Free 4G

The agreement between Yoigo and Movistar is already bearing fruit and we have the first news. Movistar will offer 4G connection for free to all customers who have contracted one of the modalities of Fusión, Movistar 20, Movistar Cero and Tarifa Total.

The downside comes when we exceed the contracted data traffic and in that case the browsing speed will drop up to 16 kbps, although we can always buy some 1GB extra bonus for 10 euros.

4G connectivity will be available from today in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Málaga, and will continue to spread until the end of year to cities such as Seville, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Murcia, Valladolid, Zaragoza…

Fusión with free Mini TV

Fusión Fibra offers a new option with free mini TV, and we can add different packages of TV channels.

Elimination of the permanence and the SIM-locked mobile phones

Finally Movistar eliminates Mobile SIM-lock and was somewhat expected. It will be effective with the terminals which are purchased from here on out. Therefore, from now on, smartphones will be sold SIM-free and you can use them with any operator.

On the other hand, the early termination fees will be removed in Movistar Fusión, as well as all the remaining rates for mobile phones.

iPhone 5S was also one of the most anticipated phones of the year and was presented this week. The new Apple phone comes to confirm many of the rumors that were already on the table and introduce some innovations that had not said yet.

Technical specifications

The new iPhone 5S has a 4-inch Retina Display screen and has a resolution of 1,136 x 640 pixels, which is 326 pixels per inch. It has an internal storage of 16, 32 or 64 GB depending on the model.

The new processor is an Apple A7, up to two times faster than the iPhone 5. The novelty is that it is a 64-bit processor, so the power is more than insured and thus becomes the first phone to have a processor with 64-bit architecture.

There is also a new feature in the processor and is that there is a new chip that will work jointly with the main processor. It’s the Apple M7, which manage the sensors of the phone such as gyroscope, accelerometer, etc. It will also be some applications focused in health and exercise, so that in the future there will be applications that use this co-processor.

We can not leave behind connectivity, since it supports 4G LTE, and will also have the usual technologies like Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, etc. It will also have a battery of unknown capacity, but that will make the phone to last us up to 10 hours playing video or 8 hours in conversation.

Also should be remembered that the iPhone 5S will come with iOS 7 operating system from factory, which we told you all the news a few months ago.

The Home button, the revolution

Perhaps one of the most striking aspects of the new iPhone 5S because the new Home button adds a fingerprint sensor, which can be distinguished from other models of iPhone by having a steel ring around the button. This new button is called Touch ID.

This new sensor can read several fingerprints and save this information in a safe, private and encrypted environment. Therefore safety is more than guaranteed.

It can be used without pressing the button, just swiping the finger will detect our footprint. It will be compatible with various applications that need this technology, such as unlocking the phone, authenticating in applications, etc.

The new camera

The camera is another element which is renewed, as now we have a dual LED flash with two different lights (blue and yellow) which, together with a larger sensor, will allow us to take better quality and more realistic photos. The resolution remains at 8 megapixels.

Best of all is that now we have a new way of taking pictures. When you press the button to take pictures, iPhone 5S will capture images in burst and will automatically detect the best photo and choose it.

There is also a new video mode and is the slow motion. The camera will be capable of recording in slow motion at 120 fps and 720p resolution.

Price and availability

iPhone 5S will be a very expensive phone within reach of little pockets. The basic SIM-free model will cost $649 in United States and we assume it will be somewhat more expensive in Spain, probably 699 euros.

Precisely to Spain not come until December, as in the case of the iPhone 5C. First come the September 20 in the United States and some European and Asian countries, and then be sold in over 100 countries in December.

It will be available in gray, black, and gold. You can also buy covers to protect the terminal.

Yesterday finally confirmed multiple rumors that Apple would lead to create a new plastic iPhone and more cheap than the current iPhone 5. So it has been, Apple has been presented the new iPhone 5C, a smartphone just as powerful as the iPhone 5, made of polycarbonate in multiple colors and a not so cheap price as expected.

Technical specifications

– Retina Display of 4 inches with resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, giving a pixel density of 326 ppi.

– Processor Apple A6 (Dual Core processor at 1.3 Ghz), the same as the iPhone 5.

– Memory RAM of 1 GB and 16 or 32 GB of internal storage.

– 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front camera, dedicated to make FaceTime HD video calls.

– Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G LTE, etc.

– iOS 7 operating system.

New exterior design

As we have already mentioned, the new iPhone 5C is made of tough polycarbonate, somewhat similar to the plastic. The most striking are the new colors that are available and which are green, yellow, red, blue and white. Many people have already compared it with colors that have some Nokia terminals.

In addition, Apple took the opportunity to offer for sale a range of silicone casings to protect our iPhone from falls and unforeseen. These casings has a price, in the United States, of 29 dollars.

Price and availability

The worst thing about the iPhone 5C will undoubtedly be its price. There has been much speculation about it would be the Apple’s low cost phone, but nothing further from the truth. The most basic model of the iPhone 5C will have a price higher than 500 euros with SIM-free, according to some German and French sites, specifically refers to that it can cost 599 euros.

In the United States will be able to get it at $99 the 16 GB model and $199 the 32 GB model, both with contracts of two years with operators in the country. For Spain, the price which will be with contract is unknown.

As it is often the case with the Apple devices, not arrive at the same time in all countries. September 20 you can buy in the United States and most European and Asian countries, but Spain is not included. That means we will not see the terminal in stores until the end of the year.

A booking of the iPhone 5C will be from September 13 and will only be available for countries that begin to sell the terminal on September 20.

The second model which has just presented ZTE is the ZTE Blade Apex, a mobile terminal that is near the lower range. It will be on sale along with the other terminal that we saw here, the ZTE Grand S Flex, and also becomes one of the cheaper phones that has 4G LTE connectivity.

Technical specifications

The ZTE Blade Apex is a smartphone with a screen of 4.5 inches and it has a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, i.e. qHD resolution. If we go to the interior of the terminal, we will find a Qualcomm MSM8930 processor of two-core running at a frequency of 1.2 GHz.

The RAM is 1 GB and the internal storage is 4 GB expandable through microSD cards. It is interesting to have the possibility of expanding storage in this terminal, something we can’t say about the ZTE Grand S Flex.

We also have a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1 megapixel front camera. To highlight its 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. As operating system will have Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the battery is 2,070 mAh. Its dimensions are 133 × 66 × 10.4 mm with a weight of 120 grams.

Price and availability

Like the ZTE Grand S Flex, this phone will also be sold through Yoigo. The price is 169 euros if we chose the prepaid option, and if we choose to contract we can acquire it for 3 euros per month for 2 years plus a mobile plan.

Peoplecall, pioneers of the VoIP us surprise with Nubefone, an app to call from your mobile without using data during the call.

Many have bad experience trying to use Line, Viber or Skype from your mobile and not having an effective communication unless we are in optimal conditions of bandwidth, and that does not always happen, and less when more you need it.

With Nubefone, this does not happen, because it is a normal call, you can call from anywhere: from the beach, with the hands-free car, street, etc. And not have to worry for the data, Nubefone rates just use them.

Nubefone works with the callback system: call from the app, this gets in contact with Nubefone servers in the cloud and you receive a call on your mobile when you descuelgas the call, put you in contact with your partner. Data consumption is minimal (less than a whatsapp message) and the quality is maximum.

Also surprising prices, only 2 cents per minute to landlines and mobiles in Spain, and from 5 cents per minute to landlines and mobile international, with an establishment of 10 cents per minute. You can see all rates detailed in http://www.nubefone.com/tarifas.html, also from the application you can see the exact price of a destination in particular before making a call to that destination. They are cheaper prices than what we are accustomed to seeing in Line, Skype, etc. Yea that really saves on the telephone bill.

Equally surprising form of payment so comfortable that they have, you do not need to have balance or pay in advance, when you get to 20 euros of consumption, you pass the Bill to the credit card you want to use.

In addition, they don’t charge no monthly fee, no minimum consumption, have no permanence. You only pay for what you speak.

To use it, you must create an account on the Nubefone website and directly they give you € 5 on calls, so you can try the application free. No change of SIM or operator.

The application is free and is available for iPhone and Android. The Blackberry version is in testing but you can download it and try.

You can see more information at the website of www.nubefone.com

Apart from tablets which we have already mentioned, ASUS has also launched its two new laptops. More than laptops, they are hybrids between tablet and laptop, like the Sony Vaio Tap 11 which we discussed here.

ASUS Transformer Book Trio

The Asus Transformer Book Trio is a hybrid that will provide us with 3 devices in 1. You can choose between a tablet, laptop or a desktop computer.

If we couple a keyboard, such as technical specifications, this Transformer Book Trio has a screen of 11.6 inches with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a processor Intel Core i7, 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 1 TB hard disk-shaped. All will run under Windows 8.

If we let the keyboard and use it as tablet, we can use the Android operating system. Below the display you will find an Intel Atom processor and a 2 GB RAM memory.

What’s more, we can connect the keyboard to an external monitor and use it as a desktop computer. There will be able to also use the Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, microHDMI, two USB ports and one mini DisplayPort.

ASUS Transformer Book T300

On the other hand, we have another device, and it is the Asus Transformer Book T300. This can also work as a tablet or laptop if we slaved it a keyboard, with which we will have an extra USB port and more autonomy with the built-in battery in the keyboard, which we will provide up to 8 hours of use.

The 13.3-inch screen is touch and has resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On the sides you can find a USB 3.0, a microHDMI port and microSD card slot.

Finally, the Transformer Book T300 have an Intel Core processor of the latest generation, as well as a RAM of 4 GB or 8 GB and up to 256 GB of internal storage.

Price and availability

Still unknown both price and availability on the market, although it seems that it will not be too late when we see these devices in the shops.

The half tablet half ultrabook computers have become very popular in recent years. One of the last to present this interesting hybrid is Sony. Sony has presented its new hybrid at the fair IFA 2013 and it’is the Sony Vaio Tap 11.

This Sony Vaio style is very similar to the Microsoft Surface; we can take it everywhere as tablet and if we want we can turn it on laptop in seconds by simply attaching a keyboard.

Technical specifications

The screen of the tablet, which acts as a ultrabook and tablet, is touch and boasts Triluminos technology that we saw in the Sony Xperia Z1. It has a size of 11.6 inches and a resolution of 1080p.

According to the color, we have different specifications. In the case of the white model, inside we have a fourth generation Pentium processor and has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the form of solid hard disk or SSD. In the black version, we have something more powerful, it has an Intel Core i5, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of hard disk.

The connectivity of Sony Vaio Tap 11 is very comprehensive and we find Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, NFC, GPS, two USB 3.0, infrared, LTE, sensor ports etc. We could not forget the cameras; the rear and main has an 8 megapixel Exmor RS sensor. Finally, this tablet has Windows 8 operating system.

As we have already mentioned, we can turn the tablet on laptop with just putting a magnetic latching keyboard. It will also bring a digital pen, useful to perform a lot of tasks.

Availability and price

The price of the Sony Vaio Tap 11 is unknown, but we do know that it will come to Spain sometime in the month of October.

Philips has shown us in Berlin a kitchen robot that will definitely ease cooking and making coffee at home with no idea of it. At the moment we cannot be outside the home, but the tablet will be our helper. HomeCooker neXt is a food processor that works in complete sync with our tablet or smartphone application. The only thing we have to do is to put the food inside the robot, and the program will be the boss; he will send the recipe, steps and times while we can be lying on the couch.

The application obviously includes recipes, photos, ingredients, and the steps to perform. HomeCooker neXt has WiFi to connect with the tablet or smartphone, and once the program sends data to the robot, it will start to make everything little by little, without the need for anything more.

Tambíen Philips has introduced GranBaristo Avanti, a coffee machine that connects to our smarphone or our tablet but via Bluetooth rather than Wi-Fi, and thanks to an application will show us different ways to make coffees to customize them. You will have several compartments to put different types of coffee and accessories, you can store preferences of your guests in the program and only with a button you can say the coffee machine to make all the coffees.

ASUS has also been present at the trade fair IFA 2013 and has presented the second generation of its FonePad. It is specifically the Asus FondePad Note 6, a phablet coming to compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and other range.

Technical specifications

– 6 Inch screen with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, i.e. Full HD. The pixel density rises to 367 ppi.

– Processor Intel Atom Z2560 of two cores running at a frequency of 1.6 GHz.

– Memory RAM of 2 GB and internal storage of 16 or 32 GB depending on the model we choose. We also have the possibility of enlargement by microSDHC card slot and up to 5 GB in the cloud thanks to ASUS WebStorage cloud.

– 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front camera.

– Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

– Others: 3200 mAh battery, WiFi connectivity, etc.

It will come with some own ASUS applications such as Instant Page, Smart Peek, Smart Crop, etc. We could not miss the Stylus pointer, which has the same style as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and will allow us to perform various kinds of tasks with this terminal.

It is clear that with these specifications has nothing to do against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which surpasses in power and all other specifications.

Price and availability

At the moment we don’t know both price and date of placing on the market, as it’s not known in which countries will be available for purchase.

One of the most anticipated terminals, apart from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, has been the Sony Xperia Z1 or also known in some places as Sony Honami. It is a high-end terminal with which the company wants to show that it also has a place in this market.

Technical specifications

Sony Xperia Z1 has a 5 inch screen has a resolution of 1080p and that gives you some excellent 443 ppi. This is due to two technologies using the screen, on the one hand the Triluminos technology and, on the other, the X-Reality.

Inside we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 model MSM8974 quad-core processor, which works at a frequency of 2.2 GHz. It is accompanied by an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, the usual standard of RAM for this type of phone (2 GB of RAM, with the exception of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which has 3 GB) and an internal storage of 16 GB expandable through microSD cards.

One of the more strained aspects of the Sony Xperia Z1 has been its rear camera. Finally the rumors are confirmed and it will equip a 20 megapixel resolution camera. The sensor is an Exmor RS CMOS and is Sony G-branded. A little more detailing, this lens has an opening f2.0 and angle of 27 mm. The classic button at the side of the phone could of course not miss to activate the camera and take the picture.

Battery and operating system

The battery of this smartphone is 3000 mAh, quite correct capacity, and we will see what is able to make because it has enough work to support, especially in what refers to the screen and processor.

Sony has decided to leave Android 4.3 Jelly Bean aside and equip his Sony Xperia Z1 with Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean. We assume that soon they will be launching the Android 4.3 update.

Design

Sony Xperia Z1 maintains practically intact its lines and is very similar to the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Its thickness stays in 8.5 mm, with a length of 144 mm and a width of 74 mm, while the weight is 170 grams. As we have already mentioned, it maintains the physical button for the camera, something that distinguishes it from other smartphone brands.

In addition, the Sony Xperia Z1 is resistant to dust and water. It is possible to submerge up to 1.5 meters for a few minutes without suffering any damage.

Price and availability

Sony has announced that the Sony Xperia Z1 will be available for sale this month of September around the world. It could be acquired in colours black, purple and white, and the price in Europe is 699 euros.

More than one year ago we published here an article which compiled the latest versions of Flash Player for Android, so you could install it on your devices while Adobe stopped to distribute it publicly through Google Play.

Since then thousands of people have been able to play Flash content on their smartphones and tablets with those download links, but above all because Adobe, although long ago he left to support the version of Flash Player for Google’s operating system, “officially” still maintains on its web site a file with all the versions that were released at the time and even during the last months have published some new.

As well, although initially the company said that there would be no version compatible with the most recent editions of the operating system for mobile (Android 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3), during these months have been many users who have seen how the latest versions of Flash Player for Android 4.0 are also compatible with most devices running Android 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Although it may depend on the model, brand and any modifications which the operator carried on the firmware of the device, in principle the latest versions of Flash Player for Android 4.0 published on the Adobe web site should be able to install and run correctly on Android 4.1+ Jelly Bean, and is that apparently the company still continues to work in support of this technology with Google’s operating system, although not informed by any means.

Download

Here you have the download links for the 5 latest versions published by Adobe, if the latest version had some type of problem with your device. Can check the version of Android on your device in Settings > About phone > Android version.

Last but not least, it should be clear that Flash Player is not compatible with Google Chrome, for which you will have to use another browser such as Firefox, Opera (Full version), Dolphin Browser, Boat Browser, Maxthon or own Android browser.
